Sai had been sitting on the steps outside her little home watching her 'children' as she called them practice with sticks some of the skills that she had taught them to protect themselves. After all, when she left for a long time on jobs she wanted to make sure that they were protected when she couldn't do it herself. Waving towards them after a bit letting them know that she was just going on a short trip to see an old ally at the castle, this causes them to jump with joy and begged to arrange her hair and pick out one of her outfits. She swore sometimes she thinks that they were trying to find her a suitor. After letting them pick out her outfit she almost changed her mind and said no but decided to wear it anyway. It was a pale pink dress with white swirls that look likes the wind on the sea, it reached her hips before slowly coming to a single point at her knees, she was thankful it came with a cloak it was in the same pale pink with gold string used to clasp the cloak together and going around her waist to keep it from opening up, at the end of the sleeves they was a light white mashing cut into little triangles. The outfit had been made for another job she did a while ago she was planning to give it to one of her children once they got older. After suffering for an hour getting her hair pulled and braided then wrapped into a braided rose bun with pins in her hair to keep it in place.
Before leaving she grabbed the dagger that she had gotten from the job she did a while ago with Diamond since she was going to see him about the weapon. Not wanting to feel under armed she put a small knife into her boots along with placing two throwing knives on her belt with the dagger.
Keeping her head high she walked the path towards the castle nodding at people as she walked by most of them didn't recognize her because of the outfit some because she wasn't wearing a face they normally saw on her. It was a peaceful trip in it of its's self until she got the castle gates after informing the guards that she came to seek Diamond, she was lead to the courtyard while someone fetched the new Head of the Rose guard. Taking a seat at one of the tables she looked around the courtyard, it was tasteful and there were servants and nobles enjoying the warm air of the end of winter early spring air. It was peaceful almost enough for her to close her eyes and enjoy the peaceful moment that she didn't notice that she started to drift off.

Melda Delsaran Vanya Melda had planned a small outing to distract Theo from the recent funeral. They were going into the merchant district to look at a new bow for him, and perhaps stop for lunch. She had requested his presence in the morning, asking that he meet her in the castle foyer for 1pm or so. Melda dressed appropriately, keeping in mind the presence of commoners and decided to wear a more disposable dress just to be on the safe side. She chose a purple grey gown, semi form fitting, with sleeves ending around her elbow. The neckline was made of a sheer fabric of the same colour, white pearls lining the neckline down to her waist, connecting at her collar bone. At her waist there is a small bow with a painted gold pearl in the middle. At her waist (from the bow), a layer of fabric splits off like a train, flowing down and back, still the same colour. It suited her quite nicely, but it was far from one she cared about. Her hair was split in two braids, tied together at the back and held in place with a snowflake pin, also quite fitting.
Once Theo met her where she requested, they would depart from the castle together, choosing to go through the courtyard. Many people were out and about today, conversing or relaxing. Melda rose an eyebrow as she spotted a young woman sleeping on a bench. Peculiar. In fact, Melda felt the urge to wake her. One shouldn’t sleep in public, even if on castle grounds, just to be safe. One moment Theo. Melda changed course to land herself in front of the woman with hair oddly similar to her own. She cleared her throat loudly, and should that not wake her, tapped her shoulder.

Theo was thankful for the presence of his Godmother in such hard times. She had requested an outing with him, to which he complied greatly. He hadn't known what her plan was, but he was aware that she had planned to bring him out to the city to fetch a new and well-crafted bow. Theo decided that it'd be best if he wore something more on the commoner side. He wore an old dark brown jacket that belonged to his father, it was tapered at the ends, and had grey patches on the elbows. He also wore dark slacks along with dark suspenders to hold them up right.
Once he met lady Vanya at 1pm in the castle foyer, they set off towards the garden area. He noticed that his Godmother had dressed-down a bit for the occasion, but understood as he knew that she prepared her outfits meticulously based on the occasions of the day. After passing a few persons who had been going about their day, not before long, Theo noticed a woman in pink laying on the bench, but before he could comment Melda stepped in. Theo decided to stand back, but close enough to protect his aunt if need be. "Who are they?" Theo asked curiously.

Sai was brought of her light sleep by the sounds of someone clearing they throat loudly, not wanting to bother she kept her eyes closing praying the person would go away. Sadly she didn't get that pleasure upon a hand touching her shoulder, reflex kicking in she arm shot out grabbing the wrist of the hand that touched her, wondering who would dare try to attack her in broad daylight. Her eyes followed the hand to the face of the owner, from colour of the clothes and the feel of the fabric she had two guesses that either this person was a wealthy merchant or higher up on the food chain. Letting go of the hand she stood up and gave a bow from the waist. "Sorry for suddenly attacking you. It is just that you startled me."
Straighten her body from her bow she noticed a young man standing not very far from the woman. From his state of dress, she would take him from a guard or maybe a lower rank noble. "Let me introduce myself. I go by Sai." Introducing herself as she extended her hand to the female first then the male.
"Again I do apologise that I attacked you. To make up for it, I offer my services for the day." If one of them asked she would let them know that she would guard them for the day. With a small note to inform one of the guards that she would be back the next day just let Diamond that she would be back tomorrow.

Melda Delsaran Vanya Hearing Theo’s inquiry, Melda glanced at him honestly. To be completely frank, I have not the slightest idea. However, sleeping on a bench outside the castle is far from appropriate, so regardless of whom they are, they need to find a more suitable place for nap time. Melda mused, her voice light hearted though her words carried some weight. Melda hated when people were sloppy or acting out of turn.
When clearing her throat didn’t work, Melda touched the woman’s shoulder, and apparently kicked in some subconscious reflexes for her, as the woman snapped her hand out, grabbing Melda’s wrist. Out of her own reflexes, Melda made ice form around her wrist, invisible to the eye, but was very cold to the person touching her. Thankfully, she released her before it got too cold, and Melda let it die out. She wasn’t supposed to use magic within or around the castle; that was the rule her mother made for her, and that was a rule she followed strictly, however when in panic, defending herself was her first priority. Melda let the magic die out immediately, blinking at the womans apology. She looked her up and down taking in the woman as a whole.
I apologize for startling you then, however sleeping here is far from wise, nor is it appropriate for a young lady. Melda mused, turning her eyes to the womans face as she introduced herself. She extended her hand, to which, after a moment of hesitation, Melda returned, shaking her hand lightly with her own.
Sai. What an interesting name. She didn’t sound all that interested by it. I am Duchess Melda Delsaran Vanya. And you’re lucky to still have your hand. Melda took in a deep breath, looking over at Theo as he would introduce himself, then musing over the idea of having her join them.
Services. I presume you wish to be some kind of guard then? If that is the case, your attire is far from appropriate for the occasion, nor does it really suit you if I’m being honest- which I always am. But if you so insist, I will not say no. Theo dear, it’s up to you. Melda turned her attention to her Godson, leaving the decision to him. Should he not want a stranger accompany them, then so be it.

After the regards of his Godmother, Theo slowly approached from behind Melda, standing only a short distance away from her. If need be he could reach her in seconds. From her throat clearing, she appeared to move to a more physical approach in grabbing the shoulder of the woman before her. This woman, however, seemed to have quick reflexes and laid her hand on the wrist of his family. Out of instinct, Theo lunged forward to remove the woman from his Godmother, but contained himself as it appeared to be a misconception.
Regaining his place behind his Godmother, he looked down at the woman, who introduced herself as Sai. After shaking Melda's hand, she extended one to him. Theo, with a bit of hesitation and questions towards her position in the castle, took her hand and firmly shook it, as it appeared that she weren't one to mind a firm handshake considering she shook hands rather than curtsied as an introduction. Theo could see his aunt was watching them as they introduced each other. "I am Theodore... My apologies. Duke Theodore Edmund Bankes." He refused to bow to her as he was unaware of her position.
This was soon made clear to him after a snide remark from his Godmother. Theo raised his eyebrows in surprise and shock. Looking to his Godmother, he showed nothing but surprise. He had never encountered Melda in such a way. She had only ever showed kindness to him and his family, but in this moment, Theo saw a new side to her. One that he certainly did not expect. After a short moment of surprise, Theo went back to his original stature, listening to Melda.
After thinking through his decision, he decided to trust this so-called guard, and felt that protection would be ideal for their day off of the grounds and in the city. "I suppose it would be nice to have more company. Besides, if your area of expertise is combat and protection, it would be nice to get a second opinion on the bows we will be looking at today." Theo looked to his Godmother, hoping that her eyes could tell him if he made a good decision or not.

Sai just nodded as the woman mention that she shouldn't have fallen asleep in the courtyard she had to agree. It was a foolish move on her part and normally wouldn't have happened since she is more alert but sometime about this place caused her to let down her guard. She would have to train herself a bit if she was going to be visiting this place to talk with Diamond about the dagger. "I agree I shouldn't have fallen asleep."
"Yes, my name is different." She said picking up the hint that Lady Melda didn't care much about her name. Not that she herself cared about her own name since it was just her stage name, she doesn't even remember the last time she was called by her birth name. She did raise an eyebrow at Melda wondering if the woman was threatening her at the mention of her being lucky to still have her hand. Placing it at the corner of her mind for the moment to return to at a later time. "It is a pleasure to meet you Duchess Melda and Duke Theodore."
Sai smiled at the mention of her dress now she truly knew that this woman was judging her a bit based on her state of dress. It was a normal misconception after all no one expects a deadly assassin to look almost completely defenceless. As the part about it not suiting her she couldn't agree more but she agreed to let her 'kids' pick out her outfit for today and she doesn't go back on her word to her 'kids'. "If you wish for me to be a guard I don't mind. As for the outfit well I was taught that one shouldn't judge based on clothes."
Hearing Melda giving the decision to Theo upon if she accompanied them didn't phase her too much either way. Upon the approved of Theo, she nodded her head, though the idea of shopping for a weapon that wasn't going to be used to kill a man from a tree or from across the street in they bedroom window was useless to her. "I don't mind giving you a second opinion."

Melda Delsaran Vanya Melda stayed relatively quite for the next few moments, only nodding in response to Sai. When it was decided that she would be joining them, Melda nodding once more, clearing her throat. Alright. Well then, we’re off to the merchant district. Shall we? Melda smiled at Theo, gesturing him to lead the way, trying to help him memorize the kingdom layout.
She would assume that Sai would follow close behind, but Melda did not have much to say to her until they would arrive at the shop.

After Sai's introduction, Theo found her to be... prudish to say the least. He did not appreciate her tone of voice, and the way she spoke to her Aunt Melda. Let alone, it bothered him that Sai used their first names. That showed Theo more than enough about Sai, and he learned that she musn't have any respect for the nobility of Nova.
Interrupting Sai, as she extended her pleasure to meet the two, Theo said. "Please, refer to me as Duke Bankes." he scanned her face, "It is much too informal if you refer to me as Theodore." Theo found that his cold gesture was necessary.
After Sai tried to be snarky with his aunt, Theo decided to nip her attitude in the bud. "Obviously your upbringing wasn't thus of a nobility."
Theo gave her the cold shoulder as his aunt acknowledged that they move onward to the merchant district. Theo led the way out of the castle and on-wards to the merchant district.

As Theo scan her face upon correcting her on how to refer to him her eyes nor her face showed that it phased her in the least, if anything the most he might have seen was boredom. It didn't even affect her when he mentions that her upbringing wasn't one of nobility it was things like that made her have less respect for them because so many believe that being born into something made them all mighty when it comes down to it all they were just like everyone. They were born, they bleed and die all the same only Gods deserved respect without earning it, unlike people and animals.
She smirked inwards as the two of them turned and headed to the merchant district. Folding her arms she followed them staying a few steps behind them if they wanted to have a private conversation without her hearing not that anything they spoke about would matter to her one bit since nothing they said could have been important.
During the walk, she kept her wits about her as she kept her senses open for anything. Her eyes seeming almost as if she was bored was scanning the area keeping track of how many times they pass a single person and any person who bumped into them in cased she had to chase them down because they decided to try and pickpocket either her or the two nobles she was 'guarding' for the trip.
