With the impending royal dinner and everything that's been going on, Lucinda felt like it would be best to go home and visit her brother, perhaps even make amends. She wanted to check on the kingdom as well before making an appearance at the dinner considering she'd be representing Palico in front of not only Uncle Noku and his court, but also the King of Kanto. While they were family, she'd never had much to do with that side personally. She was a bit nervous, to say the least and wanted to be properly prepared to answer any questions concerning Palico that might get directed her way.
Upon her return to Palico, she settled herself into her chambers along with her trusty house dragon, Ally, before going to meet with her brother. She met with him in one of the many libraries and proceeded to fill him in on the goings on of the kingdom of Nova. She told him about how the blossom festival had been delayed and the impending visit and dinner. They talked about her progress in her magic training, her archery, and her painting. Lucinda demonstrated her new found ability, donning the special amplifier Adrain had created and going through a few of her exercises. She also presented Silas with a painting of the royal gardens of Nova, bathed half in sunlight and half in shadow. She showed him all the gifts she'd gotten for midwinter from Aria, Uncle Noku, Adrain, and Melda. She skirted around an apology of sorts for leaving so suddenly, though didn't apologize for her opinion on the matter that caused her to leave in the first place.
A couple of weeks passed with her attending to matters around the kingdom and having long conversations with Silas as to the state of affairs. She worked on her drake training as well and made sure that Ally received her training as a house dragon. She consulted with some of the kingdom's mages on her magic training so that she wasn't falling behind. It was different than her training with Adrain but productive at least. As she stayed, the weather began to change passing from the edge of winter into the full bloom of spring. When she packed to return to Nova, it was easier and with brighter colors. Lucinda had already discussed returning with her brother. It had been a long 3 weeks and she missed Aria and Adrain. Though she didn't tell Silas that. She had a list of very reasonable and diplomatic reasons to return, not the least of which was the impending banquet. This time, she flew her personal drake back to Nova accompanied by a drake keeper for her stay.
