Lilith had been checking in occasionally on her bedridden friend, spending some free time with her. This was no only to check in on how she was doing, but to spend time with her, seeing as when she was healthy, she gets very busy. Today, Lilith had had a full day, spending nearly half of it with her patient, not that she could mention that to Aria. She wore a simple baby blue and white gown, silver accents along the trim and laced across her abdomen. Her hair was down, the sides braided back, meeting at the nape of her neck. She had her bag with her, as she always did, with a book or two inside, along with her regular healing items. Today she also grabbed some light food for the two of them. 

Lilith opened the door to the infirmary, and found Aria where she always was, and despite the late hour ( Lilith had spent a lot of the day in the library again ), Aria seemed to be awake. Good evening Duchess. Lilith teased, a smile on her face. She walked over to the bed where Aria was, and grabbed a chair, sitting next to her bedside, her bag sitting in her lap.

”LLLIIILLLIIITTHHHHhhhhhhhh” Aria’s whiney cry came from the bed; as she called for her friend and entertainment source. Aria sat up in bed propped up by pillows; her blankets pulled up past her waist. Her hair by now was at least combed and braided; and she was dressed in a clean white night gown that fell almost off her shoulders; and had a ruffled neckline. Her night gown had short whispy loose sleeves, leaving her arms bare. The striking black tattoo she always had on her forearm was prominent on the pale skin of her right arm. She had gone through every book in her stack by the bed; and now was bored out of her mind staring up at the ceiling. Noky had gone out for some exercise with the other drakes; with the promise….though she doubted it…not to get into trouble. ”LIIIIIllllliiiiiith’cough hack cough cough wheeze cough” The door cracked open to reveal her friend; Aria waved through her coughing fit that brought slight tears to her eyes. As the coughing subsided she took a deep breath wiping her eyes with the back of her sleeve before allowing her hands to plop down in her lap. ”WOooh OK …think I’m good now” She turned to Lilith with a large grin on her face. ”Hi There!”

Aria grabbed the box of tea that Diamond had brought her earlier. ”I got gifts today! Diamond came by with this set of tea for me. Some of them have really good herbs that can hold healing magic. Though you might want to check them out” She handed the box over to Lilith. Whom she thought of almost immediately when she received it. Lilith tonight was looking well; and she was happy that she at least got to spend more time with her friends. Even if she felt miserable while doing so. Though her being stuck in bed was probably a bit more Lilith’s speed then running around in spider filled ruins. Arias nose twitched as she caught a familiar but unfamiliar scent. ”…..I smell old lady.” She looked at Lilith with a raised eyebrow. She had smelt this scent on Lilith randomly for a while now.

Lilith had heard her name long before she’d reached the door, and she rolled her eyes before she’d even opened it. When she saw the red head, she noted that she looked a lot more lively than she had in past visits. She must be feeling better. It was as Aria was hacking up her lungs, that Lilith sat down next to her. Haha hi sicky Lilith laughed, happy the coughing fit was over with. 

Presented with the teas, Lilith rummaged through the box, nodding as Aria spoke. That was really nice of him. I’m happy he’s becoming more social within the castle. He used to just stick to himself and the Duchess. Lilith smiled, thinking fondly of the man who had saved her. She looked at the teas and nodded here and there, picking out the ones she knew to hold healing properties. He made a good selection, some of these are very potent, and they smell amazing. Lilith placed them back in the box and put it down, opening her back and pulling out her own little container. Before she opened it, she heard Aria’s comment. 

Old lady? Maybe one of the other residents in the room? Lilith glanced around, wondering if there had been a new patient that she just hadn’t noticed yet. Lilith hadn’t thought of the scent coming from her, as she hardly thought of Luca as an old lady these days. She was too full of life and stories. Turning back to the container in her lap, Lilith opened it and offered Aria some of the contents. Inside were fresh baked cookies and cakes. Not the best for Aria while she was ill, but Lilith knew what kind of diet she’d had these days, and wanted to cheer her up.

”Uggh I hate being sick” Aria flopped back against the pillows; really this past month she had more down time then she had in years. ”I honestly can’t remember a time that I have ever been stuck in bed this long. Heck I was still running around doing stuff when I was suffering from manna corruption… then again I didn’t have the luxury of having people who would bring me food…but still.” Really Aria was going to have a phobia of being around anyone who was coughing for quite some bit after this long stint of not being able to do anything. When the topic turned to Diamond she nodded, it was good to see him out and about visiting other people. ”His job sounds like it’s going along nicely and it was a surprise to see him actually visit. I appreciate the tea; he did get some good ones. Yuki and Lucinda also came by along with Serenity. I finally found out who gave me that mysterious tea set a few months ago. Turns out it was from Yuki; she actually knows the tea business quite well. I was surprised.”

Aria sniffed again as Lilith said it might have been someone else who had been in the room and shook her head. ”Smells coming from you; I’ve noticed it a couple times. Faint, not your scent, no physical contact, but someone you’ve been in close proximity to. Smells strongly of dead ovaries and medical herbs….” Arias nose was like a freaking blood hounds….or a gorge hounds. She had years of learning to sift through smells as well. She leaned closer to Lilith and sniffed again still trying to put a face to the scent but couldn’t…nor could she begin to guess who the heck it was. ”I can’t put a face to the…OOO COOKIES!” ANND sick Aria distracted, as she snatched up a morsel and popped it into her mouth. She loved sweets. Garrett had been sneaking her the caramel treats she loved. She had a stash hidden under her pillow. But she wasn’t about to turn up the chance for variety. ”So how have you and Noku been?”

Lilith laughed. Any sane person would. She chided, not knowing a single person who would like being sick. She listened to Aria’s complaints as she did ever visit, knowing that nothing she said would change anything, so nodding along was the best option. 

I’m glad you figured out who it was. The mystery was killing you. She shook her head, thinking it was nice that she’d had so many visitors. Although she’d recognized every name but Lucinda’s. She’d yet to meet the Princess. Coming back to the topic of old ladies, Lilith narrowed her eyebrows. It was coming from her? As Aria went on to describe it, Lilith kept her face calm. It was Luca. Aria was smelling Luca.

Thankfully, before Lilith had to give a response, Aria was distracted by the cookies she’d brought in. Too say she didn’t avoid the answer, Lilith mumbled over the excitement; I spend a lot of time with the librarian. Must be her. Shrugging she let it die as long as Aria did. 

When asked about Noku, of course her face turned red. We’ve been good. He’s been pretty busy, but he invited me to that dinner coming up. So that will be… interesting. Lilith played with a piece of hair nervously, still not used to speaking openly about him.

”Yes it was! Yuki would have been the last person I would have thought of to leave a random gift. Mainly because I’m very sure she cares for my company very little; and for the most part I hers. I think earlier today was the first day she didn’t drive me up a wall.” Ever other time Aria had run into Yuki, she was doing something or another that would have gotten her into trouble if any other noble would have seen her. However earlier that day Yuki had behaved herself quite nicely; and her company was pleasant. Perhaps she would need to give the girl another chance. After all first impressions could be wrong; though they certainly were hard to break.

As Aria munched on the cookie she listened to Liliths mumbled reply and shook her head. ”I don’t think that’s it. I know the librarians scents; they’d be all over the books. This ones new. But doesn’t’ really matter. What have you been up to today?” Aria shrugged really wasn’t that important it simply just was a scent she couldn’t put her finger on. Though she had smelt it on Lilith enough that she’d be able to track it if it ever popped up in a different place.

She swiped a bit of cake next and listened to Lilith talk about Noku. Her bashful behavior was cute when it involved him. Though Aria thought of something that might make the young elf more comfortable. She waved her hand and the soft glow of one of her more basic silencing spells came up around them. ”I almost forgot to put that up; your free to talk without listening ears now.” She smiled and perked up at the mention that Lilith would also be at the dinner. ”Perfect; I’ll be there if I have to drag myself. Because something tells me that this is going to teach us a bit more about the Noru family dynamic.” Aria was determined to go, even if she wasn’t at her full strength. However that meant tomorrow she’d be getting up and moving whether her body was ready for it or not. ”I have to say I really don’t think Nokus looking forward to this dinner…so at least he’ll have you to cheer him up. ANNNddd if anyone bugs you when Nokus busy; stick to Noky I’ll be bringing him along to. He’s agreed to be my little helper to get around until I get my strength back up.” She was already planning on her friend’s wellbeing for the party. ”But anyhow; any more developments since he called you to the bath?”

Oh I’m sure she likes you just fine. She seems nice enough to me, though we’ve only met once or twice; She had a tea party not too long ago. It was very quaint. Lilith shrugged, she could see why Aria may not get along to well with her, but Lilith found her quite sweet. 

Lilith shrugged again when Aria brought the scent back up, choosing not to comment this time around and instead answered her next question. Work mostly. I restocked some of the supplies for the healers, I did some paperwork, went to the library… Yeah, thats about it. She couldn’t say she’d been with a patient all morning, as Aria all but lived in the infirmary. She’d notice if Lilith were there, and saying a “special patient with their own room”, could call a lot of questions forward. Lilith nibbled on her own cookie, placing the box of sweets on the bed next to Aria’s leg, making them easier for both to grab. 

She hadn’t even thought of the sound spell, but smiled her thanks once it was up. I get the feeling thats not the only thing that’s going to happen… I mean, though some people know about us now, I’m sure his family doesn’t… Him inviting me… that means he’s going to announce it publicly right? Lilith took another bite, nervous already. She was semi- prepared for being announced to the general public, but for some reason the thought of his family gave her goosebumps. She was, after all, a commoner. 

I think you’re right on that, he seems stressed about it- I can’t blame him though. From what I can tell, it’s about his uncle; they don’t seem very close. But I’m sure he’ll make it through the event just fine. We all will. Lilith smiled again, shaking her head about Noky. She had the feeling Aria having the Drake there may cause some talk, but she knew the red head hardly cared. 

Lilith blushed again, a tiny smile on her lips. That bath… was very interesting… But yea, there’s been a few more things; I mean he invited me boating the next morning, and that was a lot of fun- thats where he asked me to join him at this dinner. Though actually, aside from that outing, he’s been fairly busy. I stop in and say hello every now and again- I think he enjoys that, but he may just be being nice to me. Lilith smiled, tucking a stray hair behind her ear. Now that it had been brought up, Lilith’s mind was on the events of that Bath again, and her ear tips were proof of that.

Aria shrugged ”I can’t really put words in his mouth; but considering the circumstances it would be easy to assume. If you need support I will be there, but just remember at the party stand tall chin up and think murder. Does wonders for the confidence. But if you’re unsure why not ask him yourself so you are prepared.” Aria smiled. It was sweet that Noku had fallen for Lilith; and Lilith she had no doubt would be loyal to him. Unlike a certain mother of her dearest. Lilith’s personality also complimented and softened his nicely. If Noku did indeed go forward despite the opposition he was surly going to face due to their pairing; they both would make a wonderful pair to rule the kingdom. However… as good as Lilith would be for Noku and the kingdom; would she be able to handle what came with the title? Lilith was strong but she worried for the mental toll it would take on her untwisted friend.

”Lilith, I have no doubt you would good for Noku and the kingdom….however I do worry about the toll it will take on you mentally. As queen there is not without possibility you may need to make decisions that though best for the kingdom may be very much against the core of your being. I worry for you.” She honestly did hope that this path would not break her; yes she believed Noku had every intention of sparing Lilith as much as he could. If he was half as protective as the son he raised in her time then she no doubt he would go to great lengths to protect his future queen….which made her worry for him as well. ”I also worry for Noku; I’ve come to notice that Norus very much have the trait of taking on as much burdens as possible to spare the ones they care for…I ask you, please watch out for that with him.”

Aria nodded agreeing fully on the not close part; considering Noku wanted the man to fall off a cliff. She was curious to see why. ”Yes…it won’t help that Silas will be there as well. Which will be interesting…I’m wondering if Noku is going to inform him that I will no longer be living in Palico. I’ll still train his drakes though.” That little bit of information so far had not been shared to anyone other than Noku. But seeing how Lilith was Noku’s significant other, and a close friend of hers she could let the girl know. ”Speaking of family; I had an odd dream about a ghost a few weeks back”

Aria’s face lit in a light hearted smile; Lilith did light up when speaking about Noku. Unlike Sima this relationship did not seem as…..difficult. Noku actually getting out to do things with Lilith was also a good sign. He needed to get out of the castle. ”I didn’t know he liked boating; As soon as I’m well and now that the weather is warming up I invited him to go on a dragon ride. Perhaps you can come as well yes? I think I could carry two people.” Aria patted Liliths hand as she fretted over her surprise visits. ”I’m sure he appreciates the distraction; as someone whom has a similar habit he seems like the type to drown himself into his work. Plus I’m sure he enjoys your company; who wouldn’t?”

Lilith nodded Murder? Really? There’s no other option? Lilith shifted in her chair, arching an eyebrow at Aria. Murder was not something she knew how to think about. The party would be fine, Lilith knew that deep down. No matter what happened, she believed Noku would have her back, much like Aria would. She had them, and she would be fine. 

She listened to Aria’s words carefully, taking them into consideration, adding them on top of what Lady Walker had just recently told her. People were quite worried about her lately… As Aria continued on, Lilith’s already pale face became even more pale. Queen. Lilith as Queen. You’d think that would have crossed her mind by now.….Um. Aria. Q-queen? Lilith looked up at her, panicked. It was clear she hadn’t thought of that prior to this conversation. I’ll watch out for him… once you know, I can be more forthcoming with him. As of now, I’m still too nervous to really demand much of him…but one day. She smiled meekly, making a joke at her own expense. 

Lilith shrugged. She didn’t know his family yet, and she only knew what Aria told her about Silas. All of it would be new for her. I’m glad you’ll be staying here. Palico is too far to visit often. Lilith smiled taking another bite of the cookie. What about a ghost? Lilith furrowed her brows, having no clue what she was on about this time.

Apparently he very much likes boating. And it was quite fun I’ll admit. I saw a bunch of whales and dolphins! But that sounds lovely. I’m sure he would enjoy it- so long as he’s not afraid of heights like me. Lilith stuck her tongue out, thinking about the last time Aria made her fly. I hope you’re right. I don’t want to be a bother to him. And come on, not everyone enjoys my company. I’ve actually been told I can be quite annoying. Lilith laughed, remembering her younger days for a moment, tinged in sadness, but it didn’t bother her too much now.

”Severe dismemberment then?” Aria smiled quite innocently; knowing the elf probably never even killed a fly…Wait she did help kill the minotaur….though then again they were trying to knock it out. Aria was the one that ended up having done the killing. Aria was pulled from her thought process from Lilith stammering on something about being queen. Causing Aria to arch an eyebrow ”Well yes; sucky job I know. But one of those sacrifices that will have to come with dating Noku” Aria never once questioned Liliths motives for dating Noku. So it really didn’t surprised her at the elfs shocked expression upon realizing Noku came with some heavy baggage. It was times like this that Aria though she felt bad for thinking it, was glad Garrett was no longer a ‘Prince’. Course she would have loved the man either way but still. Though the fact Lilith was dating him and still felt a bit nervous about being forthcoming with him was a bit of a problem. ”What makes you nervous about him still?....and you know if you ever need an ice breaker I can help make things awkward enough it would make whatever you needed to say so much less awkward by comparison. I haven’t fully unleased my weird on him yet.”

Aria nodded agreeing with Lilith on Palico being much to far. ”I agree it significantly strains my communication spell. It’s just not strong enough yet to have clear communication from another kingdom….in maybe a decade or two it might be…but I’m still growing into my magic. Oh but the new residence; it’s actually extending Nova’s borders but it’s almost as far as Palico is from here. However getting to my land will be fairly quick from the castle grounds and then from there it’s only an hour walk to the actual residence. I’ve already included rooms for you and others to stay for when you want to visit. You are one of the few people who will have an open invitation to come and go as you like.”

When the topic turned to Mr. Transy Aria nodded ”I had an odd dream a few nights ago; it was about Cain...drempt that a few of us were summoned to the grand hall. It was odd cause there was a secret passage there and such...Just felt odd.. But then again I've delt with odd ghostys before...could just be a weird dream. Or then again there could really be a ghost around. Which would be interesting. Kinda wish it wasn't a dream...that person could answer so many questions."

Aria was amused to know that Noku liked boats; ”Well then you know what you should get him for Midwinter then…..Find out if he likes watching fish for me…I usually start all my midwinter gifts around this time since it takes me a while to finish them all.” She still needed to figure out what to make Lilith this coming year. Because she did enjoy putting a more personal touch to her gifts. Aria’s expression when from thoughtful to disgusted at the word dolphins. ”Dolphins! I freakin HATE those little giggling bastards” Yep animal lover Aria….hated dolphins. Though she did giggle at Liliths reaction to their last flight; if she recalled correctly the elf eventually enjoyed the flight. It did get her away from Sima for a bit at least. Aria raised an eyebrow at Liliths last response ”Would he be dating you right now if he did not enjoy your company? Plus not once have I seen him give you the glare of exasperated dooom” Which was an expression Aria seemed to get frequently by a lot of people she knew. However Arias expression did soften and her tone took on a more serious note, as she identified a familiar feeling in Lilith. ”Lilith, you are at your very core kind, it’s why you attune to healing magic so easily. Healing can sometimes hurt as much as it relieves; same can be said for kindness. There are people who will resent it because they want it. And there are some who don’t understand it because they don’t feel it themselves. Yes there may be instances where kindness and overcaring can smother and it’s difficult to find a balance. But it’s something you shouldn’t regret; learn from those instances but never let it hinder you from giving it to someone else.” Another matter Aria had much time to mull over. As it was kind intentions that lead to the marring of her face…and the death of her adoptive brother by her hands. All incidents always stemmed from one intention made out of kindness. ”In short; if someone doesn’t enjoy your company for you being you, they can go jump off a cliff.”

Lilith rolled her eyes. She didn’t know what she expected Aria to saw. I think I’ll stick with “They’re nobles- they don’t want to see me melt into a puddle,” that should work. Lilith laughed, knowing it wouldn’t be to far off from the truth. She blinked, coming back to the topic of queen. I.. I hadn’t even thought of that… I mean, I know its incredibly obvious, but it never crossed my mind… I don’t know how to rule people Aria. Lilith looked calm, and for the most part she was, but she was very worried. What if she ruined everything Noku had built? What if she was just a terrible queen?

What made her nervous still? That has to be a joke question. It’s Noku… I’ve witnessed what he can do, I’ve lived here my entire life. And it’s not that I think he would ever hurt me if things went south… but well… really it’s just Noku… I see a side to him I don’t think many people ever see, and I’ve certainly gotten more comfortable with him, but… it will take some time for me, I think. Lilith concluded, a grim smile on her face. She shook her head, I’ll let you know if it ever comes to that. She laughed, still shaking her head. 

You’ll have to give me a tour once this dinner and such is done with. She grinned, trying to imagine what the island looked like. Moving onto the dream, Lilith listened with her eyebrows arched. When she was done, Lilith only shrugged her shoulders, really not having much to say on the topic- she has no idea who Mr. Transy was. 

Nodding along, Lilith made a mental note to ask what Aria wanted. He seemed excited enough about the whales, but who knew with him. Oh Midwinter… that’s already coming up again- or it feels like it anyways. But yeah, I’ll find out for you. Lilith sighed, trying to think what she could possibly get the man who quite literally had it all. Lilith gasped, How can you hate dolphins! They’re so sweet! Lilith chastised, not understanding one bit.

Moving back onto more heavy topics, Lilith bit into another cookie, avoiding Aria’s eyes. Actually, I have seen it. I don’t think it was directed at me though. Probably more you. I’m fairly certain he saves those looks for people who annoy him. Lilith teased lightly. When Aria went on her rant, Lilith turned absolutely scarlet- no surprise there. Thank you Aria… I always kinda assumed I found healing magic from the constant need to keep healing myself.. I.. fell down a lot as a kid. I liked climbing trees- people didn’t tend to find me there. But getting down was difficult. It wasn’t a complete lie. Though the earth magic… I don’t know where that came from… honestly it doesn’t make much sense. I never had a green thumb until I started gown medicinal herbs… Lilith furrowed her brow, wondering why.

Aria shrugged ”Always helps me, whenever I’m nervous, I just remember I can turn into a dire bear and eat half of the people who are talking to me…I’ve been tempted to once or twice.” As a dire bear which was massive, it was easy to see how easily that could be accomplished. When Lilith became nervous about claiming to not know how to rule, Aria frowned. ”You take charge when you need to, like the night that I returned the lovely spike that Kail had given me when he tried to kill me during Claire’s execution….and in the ruins of that dwarf kingdom. That blonde monkey didn’t due shit that was for sure… The rest of the time you are fair and you listen. I have confidence that when you’re put to the test you will not fail. But let’s not worry about that for now, yes?”

Aria smiled, however only for a little bit as she remembered a topic she had very much been meaning to talk to Lilith about. ”By the way, speaking of the blonde monkey….he’s headed down a dangerous path…there is something not right... Even before Claire was arrested he made that magical crossbow with full intent of it being able to pierce through armor…Like guard armor. Not for beasts or protection from what was in the forests but for armor. Specifically plate mail….not something which common folk wear. He was already planning on fighting against the guard even before he had Claire’s incident as an excuse.” Ever since that talk at the campfire with him and Ilta, now just a little over a year ago. Aria began to wonder about the blondes true intentions. ”You even heard him the day we met at Gallows Tavern; he views nobles and the king something he needs to confront and take down. He said himself he believes most of his views were right, that includes the need to have myself exterminated….which is a direct threat to Noku as well. Worse I’ve heard that he’s become Mysteria’s apprentice putting him closer to Noku. The only reason I haven’t gone forward to Noku is yours and Serenity’s attachment to the blonde.” Aria ran a hand through her bangs; pushing them away from her face. ”However…if he carries out any further action I will not hesitate to do what it takes to protect myself and those I call my family” Aria had held of speaking her concerns over the blonde for some time now. However after the quest in the dungeon she felt she needed to voice them to at least one other person. Lilith knew of the connection between herself and Noku, along with knowing the blonde personally. Really it was just finding the right time to talk to her about it. She didn’t want to see the elf get hurt due to the blonde’s misguided ambitions. It did sadden her Kail hadn’t heeded her advice she had given him so many seasons ago.

As Lilith mention she was made uncomfortable around Noku because of what he had done, Aria raised her brow. If only the woman knew of the man that was called Noku in her time….that one made this one seem like a big friendly bunny. ”Is the reason why you’re comfortable with me then, the fact you haven’t seen what I’ve done?” Her list was not pretty. Aria nodded about Lilith probably seeing a side of Noku many didn’t see. It was entirely possible; her glimpses of his kinder side was well hidden. But frankly the Noru family in general was emotionally constipated. A smile returning to her face as she got Lilith to laugh at her offer of an ice breaker; Noku would eventually get segments of weird the longer he knew her…but she could up the dose for Liliths sake. She had already done something similar for Lucinda when she looked like she was having a hard time when she returned from Palico. Aria was still shocked Noku took her landing on his head, and then challenging servants to a fight in his lap, so well. She figured she would have gotten in a lot more trouble than just the glare and a joke.

Aria fully agreed she would have to give Lilith a tour once everything was said and done. ”I will have to give one to Garrett as well…speaking of which. I’m so happy Noku’s beginning to court you; it means having Garrett court me won’t be viewed as badly! ….This position as a duchess certainly has gotten in the way of making that a bit more public… “ Aria giggled gleefully…then stopped…realizing she hadn’t told Lilith about Garrett yet. She had been meaning to; was going to at midwinter… but after her break up with Sima. Gleefully talking about a love interest didn’t seem like a thing a friend would do. ”….I have forgotten to mention him to you haven’t I?”

Moving on to the topic of Midwinter, Aria shrugged her shoulders ”Midwinter is a ways off, but I like to hand make a lot of my presents….Nokus birthday is coming up sooner than Midwinter so I have think of something for that as well. Speaking of birthdays, Lilith, when is yours? I want to properly get you something.” Aria scrunched up her nose when Lilith exclaimed how could she hate dolphins in surprise. ”Those horny little diseased ridden shit heads are nasty….not much different than some humans I know. You do know if its smaller than them and they can move it, it’s going to become a ball….if its alive it won’t be for long. The males, if they can fit their dick into it, its gonna get humped. As Noku’s glares came back up as mostly being directed to her, Aria chuckled. She did get quite a few of them. ”Least he doesn’t send spiders or novites after me like my dad; seriously I’ll take the glares and be happy with that” Aria shrugged when it came back to the topic about magic ”Your starting to find your ground in things; you seem more confident. Perhaps that might be a part of it….its just a theory. I started finding my talent for plants after I found my father and started figuring out who I was….My first grasp at magic though was fire. Angry, confused, and a bit chaotic. I’ve always thought you can find out a lot about a person by learning what comes naturally.”

Lilith simply shook her head, letting the topic of her game face and thoughts slip away. She didn’t want to discuss Aria turning into a bear and eating people. Just didn’t feel right. However, on the topic of queen, lilith leaned forward, wishing she had something to write down Aria’s advice with. She would have to settle on listening carefully though. She laughed lightly when Aria called Kail a Blonde Monkey; it was unexpected and admittedly accurate. Fine. We won’t. But will you help me? Lilith would always worry she wasn’t doing her job right; Having Aria around would help assure her otherwise. 

As Aria moved on to a more serious topic, Lilith’s face turned grim. She hadn’t known Kail was involved in so much. She hardly saw him, and when she did it was for such short periods of time that she never got much information out of him. So it wasn’t surprising that she hadn’t known about all this. While Aria spoke, Lilith nodded along calmly, her thin eyebrows furrowed and a displeased thoughtful look gracing her face. She felt a slight ping of guilt in her chest when Aria said she was part of the reason he hadn’t been taken care of already, but she sighed in understanding. Thank you for telling me this. I don’t know what Serenity’s relationship with Kail is - I’ve never actually met her. But I know that Kail is my friend. I’ve stuck up for him a number of times now, and would continue to do so- within reason… if everything you’ve said is true, then I will not stick up for him further. You have more than enough reason to report him… and if you really think he’s a threat to either you or Noku… then do something about it. Lilith nodded, sounding a bit torn. She talked a good game, but she really cared about Kail, so it hurt her to admit this. Do what you feel needs to be done… She cleared her throat. 

When Aria asked why she was comfortable around her, Lilith blinked surprised. I mean I certainly don’t like it, even knowing what I know- but would you expect me to? I’m more comfortable around you as opposed to him, because I’ve spent my entire life treating he and his family like gods. Like Royals. To suddenly be in the presence of him so often, to be treated the way I am with him- its alarming for me. I met you in a far different way. Lilith stated sighing softly. She looked up quickly a moment later, her eyebrow arching curiously. Garrett? Like, the Guard Garrett? As Aria kept talking, a bit of sass leaked on to Liliths face, her mouth fell open slightly, and her head cocked to one side, her eyebrow still raised. When Aria caught on, remembering she’d yet to mention him, Lilith nodded slowly. Yeah, you definitely forgot to mention him. Go on. Lilith prompted, waiting for the story.



When Aria asked for her birthday, Lilith blinked, having to think about it for a moment. She hadn’t celebrated her birthday in… in well at least a decade. Uhmm… I believe the 5th of Eruditio. Lilith shrugged moving on. Wait, when it Noku’s birthday? A slight panicked look reached her eyes, wondering what the hell to get him for either holiday. As Aria explained why she hated dolphins, all Lilith could do was cringe and shake her head, not wanting to know more. She was more than happy to have the discussion move to Noku again. He glares, but I know he cares about you. Lilith smiled softly, remembering how he compared her to someone in his family. It was cute. I picked it up in random places. My healing magic definitely showed up while I was still very young- still living at the orphanage. The earth magic came about two years ago now. After I was attacked by wolves ironically enough. Lilith shrugged again, not seeing a rhyme or rhythm to it.

Aria blinked; a queens advisor wasn’t what she was aiming for…”Erm…” Aria had a deer caught in the headlights moment. Eventually Aria let out a sigh and pat the girl on the shoulder. ”Unofficially yes; I don’t think people would approve of me as an advisor. That’s something when the time comes for it that you and Noku should decide together…However as your friend I’ll be here for you as much as I can.” Aria put on a cheerier face ”But honestly you can save that talk for when your relationship grows a bit yes?”

Aria watched as Lilith processed the information she presented; and then made a hard decision. Aria’s face sobered; she felt bad that she had put Lilith in this position. But she had the right to know; even if it caused her a bit of pain. ”I’m sorry you’re in a position where you have to choose, these decisions are hard.” She did feel bad; but unfortunately Kail’s decisions are what landed them there. ”I’m not looking forward to reporting it….however I will give him one more shot through Serenity; I will talk to her as well. Perhaps she can talk to him to find out exactly what he plans to do perhaps kick some sense into him where I couldn’t…I do not want to condemn him yet…cause right now the person who’d likely be called would be Garrett. I love him but…I doubt Kail would make it to a trial. He’s a bit protective…and as attractive as I find it I don’t think you or Serenity would appreciate it.” It would also be a test for Serenity.

As the topic turned to whether or not Lilith would feel comfortable with her if she had seen or known what she had done. Aria looked at her lap and sighed ”No I don’t think you would” She doubted the Elf would feel comfortable with her if she ever did find out what she had done. She chuckled as she went on to describe the difference; ”Alarming in a good way?”

It would seem by the expression on her face, Aria had indeed forgotten to tell Lilith about Garrett. A blush forming across her face. ”Well…..” how to explain her and Garrett….”he was one of the first people I ran into after I was fated. I was sneaking into the barracks to steal clothes. He caught me and gave me clothes anyways. Later on we ended up getting paired for blossom festival, that was an interesting night…but anyways long story short over the time probably a little while after the whole fated execution thing he started courting me….then like a few days later I got shipped to Palico” Sooo it had been a while, but unfortunately there was a good chunk of time where she hadn’t gotten to be with him. Aria gave a sheepish smile; she and Garrett had been seen together but usually he was working and she was helping. Really between his work and how busy she was, the only time they got to spend together was at night when she snuck into his room….but seeing how she had been stuck in bed that time was even more limited.

Aria was happy to find out Liliths birthday; it meant she could plan something this year. ”Perfect, you’re the month before mine. As for Noku’s his is the same day as the festival of gods. Only reason she knew it was Nokus birthday was because it was the same day as Cores.
