At the mention of the mark Nyx looked away for a simple reason she now knew that the mark looked like and to hell was she not going to learn what it meant. "All marks carry a meaning if not the massive than to the individual who got the mark." A childish smile appeared on her face. "Then again you said it was nothing then surely it is nothing."
Hearing Mysteria called Aria a duchess, Nyx out of instinct gave a low curtsy to Aria. She let Selkris say his speak about his great being that he doesn't believe is a god. she was not going to correct him on the matter since it was not her place. "Well, Sir if you would like we can continue conversation away from this room if you would give me one moment."
She didn't wait to hear his answer, turning back to the statue of Zeapon she smiled. Going to her knees she reached behind her unhooking her necklace as she flipped out the locket to the picture of her family, a sad smile graced her lips. Closing her eyes she thought about her family and knew that what she was about to ask Zeapon was beyond his realm of influence. "My great king. I know I did not bring an offering for you and what I ask is not within your domain but please. If it is possible to send a message to my family in my own world, in the kingdom you rule over. Let them know I am safe." Standing up she placed a kissed on each of the horns before turning around.
"Well, Sir I would love to hear more about how the darkness speaks with you." Nodding at Aria she walked up to the man, hooking her arms with his if he allowed her to touch him. "We can talk about this away from this room. Who knows maybe there is a section in this temple for your Ancient One along forgot room hidden somewhere." She said as she started to walk out the room pulling the man along with her if he had allowed her to lead him out of the room.

Selkiris was quiet the entire time. He was in deep thought. He had been planning to an old temple made of skeletons and this was certainly taking longer that expected. He wanted to finish this debate but he was going to be late......when the young woman linked arms with his he snapped out of his trance. "Hm? Oh yes well in complete honesty I do not know if it is telepathy or if the darkness speaks through a portal to it's realm. I've never bother to ask my lord about it" Selkiris laughed as they started to walk out the room. "I'd rather bet my money on me defeating the kraken one on one. The lord of shadows was usurped by your.....king Zeapon. There were many reasons why the darkness dislikes this but a major factor is that Zeapon did not duel The Ancient One in one on one combat as is tradition. No Zeapon had help from the other gods. A unrightful ruler is what the darkness has now. At least before The Ancient One the previous ruler had honor....even when the darkness ............"Selkiris remained silent after that. He had remembered that the gods most likely disliked the previous ruler even more than the Ancient One...he had to be careful what he said. "Even when the darkness transformed him...into what he is now, though I do not know why he is called Great..........he was the opposite of that"

Aria raised an eyebrow in response to Melania’s claim to jussstt being sorceress… the woman was one of the kings advisers for crying out loud. Though if she wanted that to remain unsaid far be it from her to mention it. Thankfully it would seem Mysteria got her point about moving the conversation elsewhere….because in all honestly she didn’t want to be licked again. ”Thank you” She held the door open for Mysteria allowing her to walk past, and continued to wait for the other two to leave as well. Her eyes traveling to Nyx who moved to make her prayer out loud….then proceeded to kiss one of Zeapons horns…..One day she could see that man putting one of his own up there. She really hoped she wouldn’t have to do clean up if that was the case.
Aria watched as Nyx led the other one out; she continued to hold the door open for them. When they left Aria took one last wary glance up at the statue. She half expected him to pop out from behind the statue; wouldn’t be impossible….”You might want to look into this ancient one thing if its sending followers to challenge your believers belief in you….” She turned and shut the door behind her. The offerings at the God’s feet withering and decaying once the room was empty.
Heading deeper into the moon temple in the direction she saw Mysteria go. As she walked Aria held out a hand; a blob of ink seemed to move across her skin from her shoulder and down her arm to her palm. A small red book materialized from the ink and into her hand. She flipped it open to a blank page, and in soft words spoke ’The ancient being created by darkness is’ The words she spoke appeared on the page as if someone were scrawling it out by hand. What would fallow would be the information she sought on the being that the man spoke of. Aria did not often use this book; however in this case she felt it impertinent that she did.
Aria would read as she walked; only allowing the book to revert to its ink tattoo state and travel back to her hip where it was hidden by cloth, when she found Mysteria.

Nyx listened to him as he spoke with how his darkness spoke with him to him, she knew what he was trying to do he was unknowingly trying to convince her that her king wasn't worth and that she needed to shift her belief to another. It wasn't going to work she wasn't born and raised in Zeapon kingdom and become one of his warriors for life to be able to be sway easily by words she would die before she lost faith in her king. For now, she wanted more information on who this Ancient One is cause if she could get some information she could look back into her schooling and try to pinpoint the size of his kingdom and if she ever had to fight with his warriors.
"So you say he did not duel the Ancient One. Well, where I come from there are more Gods than what is here in Nova. Many happen to overlap ruling over the same domain which cause conflict and why warriors are needed to protect the realm." Her chest puffed out at that part since she was one of the lucky ones to have been chosen to go through hell and back to fight for they king. "How about we do what we do where I am from. It seems like your Ancient one has chosen you to spread his message. I am unsure if my King will allow me but if you want we can duel for our Kings." She turned to face him holding up her hand to stop him. "I don't care if you believe he is your king yes or not. You speak strongly of him and I speak strongly of Zeapon. We duel in they place if a time every comes." She knew that that saying that she was standing on shaky grounds since she doesn't know if Zeapon's personality in this world is the same as it was in her own but she was raised to do this type of work, to fight for her king and it wasn't going to change because of new world.
Giggling a bit as she looked around realizing that she caused some of priest and priestesses to stop and stare at them. "How about we do something lighter. Talk of belief and religion can be taxing on the body, so how about we get a drink and I accompany you for a bit. I am sure we can talk about other things."

Selkiris paused for a moment. Dueling for his master. He didn't know if he would even be allowed to do that. Selkiris pulled out his dark tome for a moment and flipped to a seemingly random page with what seemed to be incomprehensible glyphs. "Lets see.....when a rightful ruler is challenged for the throne, the king and possible usurper MUST duel to decide the fate of the dark throne. This situation is lethal as the victor must consume the loser to increase their power. Well it says nothing about followers dueling for their kings. But I don't think this situation was ever thought of.......I will think about it. You will receive word from me if I decide to duel."
Selkiris closed the tome and looked at the priest and priestesses staring at them. It was actually kind of amusing. "Very well, I will give in to this proposal. I merely only came here to.....gift.....something to Zeapon before leaving anyway."

Nyx watched him pull out a book even being so close to it she felt dark but powerful magic almost as if it wanted to overwhelm her. Still, she wasn’t that weak to be let unknown God consume her from simply being close to an object of his. Her mental defenses went on high alert as she listens to the man read the book. Raising a single eyebrow wondering why Gods never think of even consider the possibility that one of they followers would want to fight for them in this world it was strange indeed. “I am sure when the time comes Fate will have us cross paths once again for the appointed time.”
Seeing the priest and priestesses staring at them, some with what seemed like pride while others seem to be wishing the most horrible death upon them. From where some of the stares were going she could guess they overheard the conversation and knew where each person stare was aimed at. Flashing a smile at some of the priest and priestesses as she gave a nod of her head to them. “Well if you want we can drop the gift off for Zeapon at an appointed time or leave it with some of the people here. I am sure that they would be more than happy to present the item to Zeapon.”
“There is a cute little bar eh tavern that we can go sit down and drink and talk, but I think it is only fair that we exchange names if we are to meet on the battlefields in the future. Also, that I look upon the face of my opponent.” Her tone innocent, but if he did remove his hood she would look upon his face before planting a kiss on his right cheek. “The kiss is a promise we will face each other again.” She said as she slipped in Japanese for that sentence.

Selkirirs merely chuckled at the statement about Fate but he said nothing. He didn't want to cause another religious debate. "One can only hope. And may we fight in honorable combat." Selkirirs added breathlessly. He would speak to his master about fighting this girl in his name. He didn't want to peform something that could be seen as treacherous in the eyes of the shadows. They were his only allies during this time.
Selkiris put his time back into his robes and replaced it with what seemed to be a folded canvas. On the canvas was a painting of a family, a wife and husband in heir fourties and a boy and girl, most likely twins, no older than ten. "You are a devout follower of Zeapon correct?. Even Zeapon likely watches over his followers so perhaps if you have this he will see it. It's not important if he sees it or not. He likely wouldn't even care anyway." Selkiris wouldn't answer any questions about why he wanted the canvas to be given to Zeapon or who the people in the photo were. If the girl didn't take the canvas he would simply stuff it back in with the rest of his things.
Selkiris nodded. He agreed they should at least know each other's names...he wasn't so sure about seeing each other's faces though. He sighed. Why not, it's not like it mattered right now. Selkiris took of his hood, revealing a pale face that likely had not been touched by the sunlight for a long time. "Very well. I am Selkiris." Selkiris waited, expecting the woman to say her name. What he did not expect though, was the woman kissing him on the cheek. He didn't show a reaction though, she would have to try harder than that. Selkiris took a step back and moved to the side to let the woman pass. "Ladies first."

Nyx didn’t correct him when he said she was a devoted follower of Zeapon since in this world it would seem like that. Though she wasn’t sure if Zeapon watched over all his followers but she didn’t seem any reason do deny the man his request. Taking the folded canvas, she looked upon it with a little bit of awe in her world paintings like these were only ever seen in museums since everyone else just had a camera, so no one took the time to paint anything like this. “I will present this to Zeapon when we meet.” Carefully folding it to not tear it and places it within the obi of her outfit where it wouldn’t fall.
“It is nice to meet you Selkiris. I am Nyx.” She said as she let a small giggle out seeing that he didn’t have a reaction to the kiss. Plus, it’s not like the kiss meant anything just a promise to meet again for an honorable fight. It’s not like she gave him the kiss of death promising to hunt him down to the end of the earth until he or herself died by the other’s hands. “I didn’t expect you to be a chivalrous man. Also, just between you and me where I am from you would be considered quite the catch because of your eyes and your paleness.” She said before giving a small curtsy to him and moving to lead the way out of the temple. Her eyes looked at the priest and priestesses seeing that some had a shock on they face either from the kiss or the comment she wasn’t sure but she found it a little funny that they might think that she is either crazy or she was brave.
Once outside the temple, she stretched her arms to the air, taking in the scent of fresh air mixed with a little salt. Turning her eyes to the sky she noticed some dark clouds rolling in from the over the sea. “We should hurry unless you want to get caught out in the rain.” Turning behind her to look at Selkiris and continued her pace down the path heading towards the town.

Selkiris laughed as she said he was considered a catch. "Well Nyx. I am glad that I am at least considered attractive somewhere. Most people are just disgusted here" Selkiris laughed again. He didn't know how to react to this kind of situation. He had never been it before. It didn't help that the priest and priestess were so shocked about this. They were either just dumbfounded or disgusted. Likely a little bit of both in this situation.
Selkiris took a deep breath, not even minding the faint smell of salt. In all honesty he was glad he was out of the temple. He felt as if he was going to be stuck down any minute there. "Hm? Oh yes. We should likely get going. I don't want to risk my time getting wet, it is one of a kind. Selkiris quickly followed Nyx into the town, partly because the girl has caught his interest, the other was because he didn't want to take shelter from the storm in the temple.

Hearing Selkiris laugh Nyx smiled to herself since even if she might have to fight this man in the future it was nice to have lighthearted moments like this. She wasn’t kidding about him being a catch because she was sure that if brought him home to meet her parents, her dad would approve and her mother would start planning the wedding. It thought of her family causes her to be sad but she pushed that sadness down since she had to believe that one day she will return home and her family would be alive still.
Giggling a little she led the way into the town. “Then we should hurry up Selkiris-kun.” She said as she took off at a slow jog towards the town. This single moment out of everything that has happened since she came to Nova reminded of her home and hanging out with friends after classes running back to they dorm rooms or when they could visit the school city to do shopping or grab a bite to eat.
(New thread since they leaving the moon temple)
