Nodding her head a little understanding what Adrain was saying, subconsciously she had channelled her mana into her voice when she screamed. She never thought about it but it seemed that her mind knew more about what she was truly capable of compared to what she personally thought she could do. She was looking forward to overcoming her fear in the future with a bit more practice and more confidence in herself.
“What a week. I’m not prepared I still have to…”Yuki stopped when she heard Adrain laughing, folding her arms she pouted a little. “That wasn’t funny.” Seeing Serai come over she ran her fingers through his fur. “You were in on this wouldn’t you Serai, you couldn’t even give poor Aolani and myself a fair warning.” She said to the tiger as she continued to pet him while Aolani blew hot air at the tiger seeming upset that she wasn’t let in on the plan. Hearing that the exam was about three weeks from now she nodded her head, knowing that would be more than enough time to study if nothing mega happened to take her away from studying or practising. Feeling a bit more confident in herself and her abilities she thought about using the training ground at the castle and maybe getting a little help from the mage guards.

Serai lets loose a small sound when Yuki addresses him. He wasn't sure what she meant, in this case he at least chose to play the cat ignorance card. He simply rubbed his head against Yuki and seemed content at the attention he received. Adrain exhales as Yuki seemed to be a bit lost in thought.
"Sorry about all of it, the setup and the joke just now." he says, his tone changing from that of the instructor and more of the friend who felt guilt at doing something that had to be done. "I might have gone a little far with this but I had to remove any lingering doubt that this was both what you wanted and that what you were ready for."

Giggling a little at Serai seeing that he didn’t seem to know what she was talking about Yuki continued to scratch the tiger behind the ear. He reminded her so much of her own pet cat always wanting attention and pettings. Feeling Aolani blow hot air into her hair Yuki giggled a bit and turned to brush the mane of her horse. “I haven’t forgotten you either.” She said as she turned to give the horse some attention and love as well.
“It’s okay. You meant no harm in it really and I understand given everything that has happened in my life. It makes sense that you wanted to make sure that I want to do this.” She said as she switched between petting Serai and Aolani.

"Yeah...you really came a long away. I'm happy to see the steps you've taken since the scared person I saw that night in the courtyard, closing in months a gap that some would take years to. All in all, your spirit has responded to your growth and your power has improved as your mind opened and expanded in many ways. Where you are now, it's truly an achievement of your perseverance and I am happy that I managed to play some small part in that." Adrain says, looking at Yuki fondly while she was giving the animals attention. She was a girly girl, but the signs of a true woman were creeping through.
"That said, how about something a little different, do you want to get the ability to summon an air elemental of your own?" Adrain says with a smirk that said it might be trouble to do so but it could be a bit of an adventure as well.

A soft blush rose to Yuki’s cheeks at the compliment and thinking back to the night in the courtyard that had started it all. It seemed so long ago where she was unsure of herself and if she even wanted to continue in this world, compared to now where she was more confident in herself and was doing something for the first time in her life that wasn’t a requirement by her mother. “You didn’t a small part in it.” Closing her eyes trying to find a way to phase it. “You were the reason that I started down this path. Who knows where I might be now if you didn’t appear on that faithful night. Thank you, Adrain for being there that night.” As she said those words she felt a tightness in her chest from the truth and even the dread of what might have happened if Adrain didn’t show up that night. Doing her best not to think about it too much she smiled pushing the feeling down to worry about later.
“Air Elemental?” Yuki had remembered reading something on them but she slimed over that part since she didn’t believe it was something she needed to know. Now she did wish a little that she had taken more than a few minutes to read over that section. “I don’t mind learning how to summon one.”

"All I did was listen and offered an option. It speaks so much to your character to go through it, far too often people say they will improve themselves and linger in the situation they were in or worse. This is an acheivement that is your own, all I did was try to teach as my calling compels me to." he says with a warm smile to Yuki. "You are radiant and talented and so much more. Never forget that or let anyone tell you otherwise." he says, nodding when the subject changed back to magical studies.
"Yeah elementals can be a valuable friend and ally. They are a primal presence, they have an intelligence of their own and even personality. They reside in the elemental planes primarily that run parallel to the world, but around points of power they can roam freely like the Arch. The elemental planes however can be very interesting places to visit." Adrain says as he makes a portal. When Yuki enters it after him, she will feel lighter as if her body were more and more air.
On the other side of the portal, the world would seem more airy. Outlines of the trees and terrain with air mana would manifest, and things would barely feel tangible. The colors were barely more than grayscale, but if Yuki jumped she would feel as if the world wasn't pulling her down. From time to time, creatures of air could be seen roaming in the distance. Adrain himself would look a bit grayscale and somewhat transluscent.
"See the world is made of all elements, but by going into an elemental plane you sort of enter a filter where you only can see and perceive the air. Elementals are actually all around intangible unless summoned or they choose to use a great deal of energy to manifest. This is why you see them at the Arch because there is much mana to be had."]/b] he says. "Take a look around, get a feel for things then we will talk about the elemental. Getting an elemental to contract with you is a matter of respect and ability, you can't just force it. The reason I can summon many is that over time I've formed bonds and gained much respect among them."

Yuki nodded her head realizing that Adrain was right, he might have planted the idea in her head but she was the one who natured the idea and allowed it to grow and not whittle away into nothingness. "Still thank you Adrain. I couldn't have gotten this far without you." Smiling at him and also being thankful for whichever God that placed Adrain on her path that night.
Nodding her head as Adrain spoke about the Elementals it was interesting they were just like people from his description each with a different personality. Plus the idea of having another friend and ally that she could call upon was nice as well to have someone to confined in about any issues she might have. When he opened the portal she blinked a few times sometimes forgetting that Adrain was capable of those things.
Stepping through the portal her eyes widen seeing the world it was different than her own void of most colours. Yet because of that, it looked beautiful even with it being in gray-scale. Her eyes watched the elementals move around in they own plane. Turning to look at Adrain she notices that he looked almost ghostly but still blended into this world.
"Adrain do you think that we all started from elementals at some point?" Yuki asked just out of curiosity.

"Probably not, Elementals are...primal consciousness. They have personality and purpose, but it is more a maintenance of the elemental forces of the world. The idea of a person with elemental ancestry is an interesting one, but I'm pretty sure it isn't possible beyond some highly illegal and unethical chimera based experimentation." Adrain says amused as Yuki seemed to look in awe as she was adjusting to the plane.
Adrain then looks to a large gathering of elementals by a pond where a fountain of air mana was flowing from the ground. In the normal world this would be a wild mana spike, but here the elementals seemed to be feeding off of it. There were six smaller elementals, a larger four armed ball of wind, and three medium humanoid ones seemingly siphoning off of it. He leaps into the air, seemingly weightless as he went straight to a tree about fifty feet away from their position and twenty feet up.
"As an inherent air mage, you should find it easy to be able to leap like this and move freely as if the world didn't pull you down at all. Over there, you will see that they are feeding off some raw mana that was flowing from a crevice over there. If you were to walk there in the normal world, as an inherent air mage, you would feel a moderate disturbance and unnatural wind."

Yuki listened to Adrain’s explanation that there was a high chance that people didn’t come from elementals but it wasn’t also out of the realms of being possible. Once she felt adjusted to the new plane she followed Adrain’s line of vision. Watching the elements gather around a fountain it reminded her of a social event as she watched carefully as they seem to almost communicating with each other as they fed on the fountain.
Looking around she notice that Adrain had leap away, quickly not wanting to be left behind she followed suit. Leaping into the air she closed her eyes as she felt almost weightless her body going through a small spin before she landed on a branch in the tree. She almost from as she landed on the tree cause of the lack of balance, her arms frilling until she got her balance back.
She nodded her head listening to the explanation. “So, the air elementals need to feed off the raw mana to keep themselves…” Pausing for moment as she thought of the word that would fit. “Alive? Or is it almost like a food source to them?” As she continued to watch them she felt almost a draw toward one of medium humanoid ones. “Would it be okay if I was to walk over here and interact with them?” Turning to look at Adrain while waiting for an answer while doing her best not to give into the instinct to go off and interact with the elementals.

"It's...sort of complicated to explain. It is like a currency and then a means to exist and grow in their own right. You see Mana has a trace of Caster's essence which has an element of Chaos, but it also has a faint divine element, and these two interact to form a sort of life when enough mana interacts a certain way. Its fascinating to try to figure out how it comes together. But at the same time, they have their own sapience and consciousness. They have a concept of respect and understanding which is how a mage can form a contract with them. The contract is an understanding that if you can summon an elemental, they can feed off the mana around you through your body until dismissed which will limit casting abilities potentially, but you gain an ally through which you can have assist you in various ways. Once you understand the elemental summoning better, it takes less effort to maintain when they are active." he says, trying to explain a bit of the study to Yuki.
He nods when Yuki asks to run off. "Yeah, why don't you get a feel. You shouldn't trigger any sort of hostility since are you a natural wind user."

Yuki started to slow down her pace she got closer to where the air elementals were gathered. She stayed close behind a tree just observing them at first since she didn’t know what else to do other than watch them for a little bit. Feeling a bit braver she stepped from behind her tree knowing that it most likely not the greatest hiding place. Looking over her shoulder at Adrain first before she took small steps until she was standing just two feet away from the air elementals. Giving a small wave feeling a bit silly and suddenly shy about meeting an air element in it’s natural element. “Um… hi.” Her voice came out a bit softer than she intended.

As Yuki approached the elemental, it seemed to dissolve, whirling around her and inquisitively looking her over. Elementals didn't know modesty in the same sense that mortal races do, and she would feel perhaps a little personally frisked. A faint whisper could be heard in the young girl's mind.
'You are a curious one...your wind blows two ways...a rare trait to a young one to host more than one of the four winds.. the elemental's soft, feminine whisper states.

Yuki almost pouted when the elemental looked to have disappeared only to feel like hands on her body. A small squeal as she covered her chest trying to get the elements to stop touching her in places that were not appropriate for others. Though it seemed that the more she tried to brush off the wisp of hands from the elementals the more they touched her as if they trying to judge if she was worthy of being there.
The voice did make her jump a bit, looking around trying to find the source of the voice. “Um… what do you mean? My wind blows two ways? Also, what do you mean by host more than one of the four winds?” Her mind trying to process the words, it didn’t make much sense yes, she knew about the four winds, the north, south, east and west winds but did she really host more than one.

'Every mortal like yourself has a struggle, an element with four aspects of their being that they must come to peace with. It is different for every one. For you...you have a call over the Western winds that bring warmth and freshness to the day to stoke life both natural and man, as well as the Southern winds which can swell forth with the might of the air and bring about great change...these are linkened to your experiences and understanding as a full female as well as a female male...this is a part of your being and when you accept all four and have a balance, you will be complete and whole as a person and the winds will truly accept you as a master because your soul will be able to go with the wind in any direction..' the elemental says as it then manifests as a feminine form in front of Yuki, featureless but hourglass just a little taller than Yuki.
It extends it's hand to Yuki. Should she accept, an energy would become infused into her, beginning to leave a marking upon her arm that she can only see when she wills it of air mana.

Yuki was listening to voice, it made some sense when it mentioned the western wind but shock came over her as it mentions that the southern wind bring change. She wasn’t sure how she felt about the elemental knowing about her change from male to female, she herself was still trying to figured out and finally come to terms with the fact that most of her childhood memories were altered so that her mother could get her way. Though the idea of finding balance with it was appealing even if she left that it might be impossible.
Once the form manifested it self in front of her, she took a small step back not expecting it. Taking in the air elemental she saw that it was taller than herself by a little and based on the figure it did seem more female but she wasn’t completely sure if elemental had genders like mortals. Taking the hand extended to her, feeling another energy infused with her own looking at her arm she saw a quick glimpse mark before it faded away. “Um… do you have a name?”
Turning around looking in the direction Adrain was in a little unsure of herself on what just happened if it was even normal.
