On the designated date, in the morning, the arena would expect the man known as Gabriel to show up for his scheduled fight. The softer looking man would be snorted at by the scarred guards who kept the arena under control, but allowed to pass. One would swat his butt shouting 'good luck sweetcheeks' followed by an eruption of laughter by the grizzled combatants and guards. As he would be urged through the tunnels from the entrance to the main gate to the floor, a mountain of a man would turn the crank. "Hah...you'll be a pretty piece of dirt, wontcha" he taunts as he then urges the boy through.
As he entered the arena floor, it would be mid morning. The higher ranked fights would be saved for later. The stands would have a number of people in it, mostly the poorer class who can afford the cheaper entertainment of C Rank battles. A few girls giggle and blow kisses at Gabriel while one man tries to throw a tomato at him shouting at the pretty boy to stay home.
"Welcome everyone, we have a new fight for you today! The pretty boy known as Gabriel has come to prove his manhood...I mean mettle in the arena!" the herald shouts, then looking to the far gate. The wooden barrier would rise as a large spider crawls out, a few archers trained along the sides just in case it tried to rise to the crowds. "Will he quiver in fear of the arachnid, or will he prevail!"
The large spider, standing at the height of Gabriel but several times wider would hiss and first look about, skittering, then abruptly launches a spit of venom at him, a large glob of green flying through the air.

Gabriel was fairly excited at the fact he would be fighting in the arena, especially since he would be able to test his new sword that he gotten from Amiee a few days ago, As he walked through the Arena in priest robes nonetheless it seemed no one believed he could win or hell even fight as the people around him would taunt, laugh, and pick on him as he was moving. Carrying with him just a dagger sheathed underneath his robes and a sword attached to his waist he walked into the arena floor.
As the sun shined down on him he blocked the light with his hand slightly as he took a look around the stands, seeing women cheering him on he then seeing a tomato get thrown towards him, as he was looking around the herald began to speak, pretending to not hear the part about his manhood he looked towards the gate as it lifted to reveal a massive spider, gabriel flinched as he realized what he was facing in his head he was talking to himself “ Of all the creatures they could had picked, it had to be a spider huh?” As gabriel finished his talk he was greeted with a blob of venom flying towards him.
Quickly dodging it by sidestepping to the left, before quickly making a beeline towards the spider. Out of habit instead of reaching for the sword that was now on his waist he reached between his sleeves and pulled out the hunting knife and after getting in range threw the dagger towards the spider’s head, before keeping his distance by circling the spider and drawing out his sword waiting to see what happens.

The spider sidesteps the knife once it had recovered from the recoil of the venom spit, but the blade lodges itself into one of it's hair appendages due to the delayed movement. It lets out an irritated, chittering noise as colorless fluid seeps from the wound. It bounces around erratically, making no obvious attack at first before it leaps in the air about twenty feet and begins to dive at Gabriel, webbing coming out from vents on the sides of it's head to try to ensnare him.

Gabriel circled the spider as the blade though missed its mark was still able to land a blow, as he continue to run in a circle he notices the spider jump in the air, holding onto his sword Gabriel took a risk as he waited a couple seconds in place before running towards the spider with his newly acquired sword in his hand, rolled hoping to get under the spider as he lands back on his feet in a kneeling position as he did an overhead sword swing.

As the spider descends it lands in the vector of Gabriel, the web blasts having missed their mark. It takes a firm blow to the abdomen from the blade, poisonous blood spraying on Gabriel, likely causing feelings of nausea, vision blurring, and fatigue the longer the gunk remains on him. The spider chitters and makes a pained noise as it tries to create distance, leaving trails of web in its wake as it frantically fired on the ground before trying to turn back to Gabriel to lob another venom bolt at him if he doesn't interfere with its' re-positioning.

As the blood sprays on Gabriel letting gabriel know he landed a blow as he was about to do an upward slash he suddenly staggered slightly as he felt sick, realizing that the blood may have been poisoned, Gabriel quickly jumped away from the spider, ripping off his robes as his body slowly adjusted back to normal due to his minor resistance to poison. looking in the direction of the spider he noticed the webs on the ground and the the wound on the spider as it repositioned itself on the opposite side, Gabriel started running towards the left of the arena to avoid the vemon bolt as well as to avoid running through the webs. Gabriel quickened his pace as he prefered to end it soon holding the sword pointing down on his right gabriel was prepared to slice off one of the spider’s legs if it stood still.

The large spider was left open after it's recent volley as the blade struck true, severing one of the beasts limbs as the blood sprays towards Gabriel and in a direction all around him. It sneers and makes an angered clicking sound as it lunges at Gabriel with it's fangs, venom dropping from the mandible as it seeks flesh.

As Gabriel felt the pressure from slicing off a leg, the blood splattered and landed on his forearm, side and the ground around him. Knowing there was almost no chance of missing this close he turned his body as the spider bared its fangs at Gabriel for one last strike, knowing this was probably the last strike Gabriel slashed with the sword diagonally down from the upper left to lower right, the target was the head that was lunging right at him.

As the blade connected against the creature, it lets out a squeal and a chittering sound as it is slammed into the ground from the strike's momentum. It twitches a few times before silence, a rank smell of chemicals from death begins to fill the air.
The crowd is stunned, but after a moment's time cheering begins to fill the air from the observers, the announce stunned into quiet for just a moment: he had clearly expected a more...bloody finish from Gabriel's body.

Feeling the blade slash through the spider, Gabriel knew he had won. As the spider hit the ground gabriel swung the blade left and right in front of him for the blood to fly off and splatter the floor. Reaching his belt he grabbed the sheath and slid the sword back into place before looking up to the cheering crowd. He waved at the crowd for a bit before looking on the arena for his robes and started walking over to its location to pick it up.
