Selkiris had wandered the woods for at least a couple of hours. It was much easier getting to the temple the second time around but it still took a little while. Selkiris ran his hand down the yellow bricks of the temple. He had heard even the bricks were made of bones. He couldn't disprove that and since he had seen the inside of the temple he wouldn't surprised. He took out his tome and flipped through the tome, looking for one of the back pages. He smiled as he found what he was looking for. A rough sketch of the interior and exterior of the temple. Unlike everything else in the book the sketch was fresh as it was actually drawn by Selkiris. He had taken a interest to this temple. He couldn't tell what this temple was used for or who built it. Definitely people who likely had no qualms in killing someone. He liked to think this temple was dedicated to the Great or Ancient One but he didn't know why it was made of bone then. He didnt see either of the emperors and particularly blood thirsty. "Tell me your secrets, temple of bone. Why were you made, who made this..........was it the Great One's followers?" Selkiris said to himself out loud.

Post by Mysteria on Jan 1, 2017 18:55:07 GMT
Mysteria had left her home in Gallows Bane earlier that morning, before the sun had even came up to collect wild herbs found only in the Forever Forest. She had gather some minor supplies for a day's hike and Stella decided to join her mistress's journey out of the hidden Fated settlement. Both tracked their way out of the Manna Gorge and made their way into the Forever Forest by the time the sun was already over head. Stella had predicted the time was about a quarter to noon and the two had barely begun their search. Fantastic!
Mysteria sighed, walking along side Stella deeper into the forest to find some decent Helena's Root, lunar drops, or anything that would be a good add to her collection of herbs back at home. Stella acted as her secondary eyes, pointing out any indigenous herbal plants that the doll could identify. So far, their hunt had not started off as great, but the day was not over yet. Mysteria was determine to fill up her collection bag before even daring to turn back around to head home. She had bent down to gather another cluster of Helena's Root, when Stella's ears twitched at the slightest sound of footsteps. Something was making its way through the forest. " Mistress." Stella spoke softly, warning Mysteria that something was out in the woods.
Mysteria looked up; scanned through the tree's and took note of any movement made within her line of sight. Finally she spotted what Stella had warned; It was a person? The humanoid figure was hidden under a cloak and walked rather anxiously towards an unknown destination. The two watched curiously at the strange sight. It wasn't normal to see someone just walk by themselves out in this forest. Though the longer Mysteria watched, her curiosity built to at least want to figure out what this humanoid was up to. With a quick glance towards Stella, Mysteria gestured her to follow. So very quietly the two stalked further behind until the density of the tree's began to pull back and the stranger's destination began to reveal itself.
The Bone Temple..........
Mysteria stopped in her tracks; Which she quickly stopped Stella from stepping any further by extending out her left crafted arm. The doll stopped when she saw her mistress's arm extend. " Mysteria? " Stella asked, confused at why they had stopped following the man. Had her mistress lost interest in what the person was doing? Stella thought to herself, unsure what to think until she stepped forward just enough to peer under the hood of Mysteria's cloak to see her mistress's facial expression. Mysteria's eyes wide and her lips pressed. She looked unsettled, however, Stella couldn't read anything more. In fact, Stella wasn't sure if they were going to continue to follow; After all, they had been standing there for at least a couple of minutes in awkward silence.
" Lets go... I want to see something for my own eyes."
Mysteria spoke up, adjusting the hood of her cloak around her head and started down the path towards the temple. " Oh Joy, we're going closer..." Stella spoke up in a sarcastic tone, following close behind Mysteria as they made their way up to the Bone Temple's court yard. Mysteria's pupils narrowed into slits as she passed through the ivory bone arches. It had been a very long time since she had been to this temple; Probably not the best place for her to be in now, but oh well she was already this far.
It hadn't been very long before both could hear someone talking within the temple's bone court yard; Mysteria turned and quietly followed the sound of the male's voice. When both Mysteria and Stella caught sight of the cloaked figure who was speaking out; They kept out of sight and quietly made their way over to a one of the spiraling bone pillars that stood out. The moment they were behind the pillar, the area around the temple became quiet once more.
" Didn't your parents ever tell you the story; Dead men tell no tales? " Mysteria spoke out her voice breaking the silence, however she chose not to step out just yet. " I hate to be the bringer of disappointment, but this Great One's followers were not who constructed this .... Place.... " She spoke once more, stepping out behind the pillar. Her cloak keeping her features hidden while she stared at the other cloaked figure a few feet before her. Meanwhile, Stella remained behind the pillar giving her mistress a look of bewilderment. The kray woman must have lost her mind.

Selkiris stopped sketching and quickly turned around, the dark seal on his hand glowing as he was about summon a shadow creature. He stared for a moment. The voice sounded familiar but that didn't comfort him very much. After a moment of silence Selkiris took a sigh of relief and the seal went back to its dark and dormant state. "No they didn't. But that is why I am here. Dead men tell no tales and living men don't dare disturb the dead. Well except for a few exceptions." Selkiris noticed he still had his tome open and in hand, he quickly closed it and quietly slid it back into his robes. "Eh I never really expected them to. I never saw the Great One or Ancient One very bloodthirsty. Or at least not bloodthirsty enough to make a temple of bone......pardon me but do I know you? Your voice sounds rather familiar.....though I cant tell if that is a good sign or a very bad one." Selkiris chuckled slightly. This woman didn't seem to be a threat. But looks could be very deceiving.

Mysteria eyed the man across from her. Not exactly sure what to expect as a form of ‘greeting’; When he finally turned around and threw his hand up. The glyph on his hand illuminated a strange glow; Possibly a summons or a attempt to cast a spell out of reaction of being startled.
Not the first time she had that happened to her. Though, she was relieved to see his hand lower and the glow die down. Perhaps he figured out she wasn’t a threat to him in this ‘unholy’ temple. She also took note of the tome in his hands, which he quickly tried to hide from sight. Perhaps he didn’t want to give away his secrets just yet, she thought, listening to him as he continued to speak.
Mysteria’s eyes under the hood of her cloak began to illuminate a light lavender color; which became visible for him to see within the shadows of her hood. When the words ‘ Great one’ and ‘Ancient One’ left his lips, her pupils turned into slits making them take on a serpent appeal. When he asked who she was however, She stared at him in somewhat amusement.
“ I see…” She finally spoke up, her tone rather somber. “ I’ve heard one of those names before… The ‘Great One’ nor this ‘Ancient One’ were the creators of this place. It is a temple built by the followers of the God of Death, a place where monsters are born…. Or so the rumors say.” Mysteria spoke, her hand lifting up to pull back the hood from over her head.
“ Sorry for startling..” she apologized behind lightly smiling lips..Her hair a violet purple, long and for the most part down, though partly pulled back in a decorative braid to keep her hair from being within her face. Even her eyes were back to normal now that the hood was down over her shoulders. “ It can be a good or a bad one depending on the situation.” She smirked.
Meanwhile, Stella remained hidden observing and keeping a lookout for anything suspicious besides what was going on here.

Selkiris laughed. "Likely the Great One. He made quite an impression while he was here on Nova." Selkiris looked back at the bone temple for a second before speaking again. "I see. Well I guess the gods aren't the only ones that make abominations then." Selkiris laughed again. It was funny how similar the gods and their followers were sometimes. When the lavender haired woman took off her good, Selkiris's eyes widened in disbelief. "It is you. You were the one in the moon temple. The lavender haired girl." Selkiris blushed slightly as he finally got a good look at the woman. She was one of the most beautiful people he had ever seen. He took a more comfortable stance, letting his dark seal show once more. She had already seen it, no use hiding it.
