Melda Delsaran Vanya Things had finally started to calm down again; after the eventful dinner she'd had to attend, as well as the utterly insane Trial held for Roland, Melda wanted nothing more but to spend some time relaxing. She'd recently been appointed the Kings new Advisor of Magi and Royal affairs, which although was rather shocking to Melda at first, was proving to be a bit concerning; she'd yet to tell the King about her own magical abilities, but she knew she couldn't hide it forever. It was about a half a month after the dreaded Trial that Headmaster Kaiaru suggested they take that trip to Melda's home land, as had been brought up some time before. Thinking of no reason why they should not, Melda agreed, stating she would send word to her staff back home, having them meet the pair on the boarder of Kanto. In this letter, Melda described who would be accompanying her, as well as where they would be staying ( her manner, of course ), but left a gap as to how long- that hadn't been discussed yet. Within a week, Melda received a letter of confirmation, stating that there would be a carriage ready and waiting for them on Kanto's outer wall, facing the large forest behind it. Once Melda had given this information to Adrian, it was only a matter of self preparations. She packed two bags, one big one small, remembering that she had left some gowns there for this very reason, and had her handmaiden deliver a letter to Noku, stating that she would be visiting her Home land for an undecided amount of time, but should he need her, he only need send word and she would return immediately. Melda had her handmaid help her dress for the trip, knowing the initial part would only take moments, but there was still a carriage ride that would take a few hours. She chose something semi-comfortable, while still entirely presentable. With spring now upon them, the colour choice was easy, going with a soft and sheer pink. Embroidered over the entire gown was lovely tree branches, the leaves silver with pink flowers, and small blue feathers. It was a sleepless down, with a neck line that cut straight across her collar bone, and had long sheer strands of fabric hanging delicately over her shoulders. Her hair was curled softly, a thick braid going over the side of her head, connecting with the rest of her hair, was was in a controlled messy bun of curls, that sat softly at the nape of her neck. ( like so ) When all was said and done, Melda made her way to the Arch to meet up with Adrain, who would take them the rest of the way there. Her handmaiden joined her to the Arch, carrying her two bags into the building. When they reached the Headmasters study and were invited inside, she dismissed the young girl, letting her take their carriage back to the castle. Good afternoon Headmaster. She still liked calling him that now and again, just to see what his reaction would be. I'm ready to depart when you are. She smiled and awaited his response, taking a seat in a chair in front of his desk.

As Melda arrived, Adrain would be talking to some of his staff making accommodations for his absence. Iris has been given time off along with a generous salary for her work so far to enjoy herself. Hopefully the satyr wouldn't kill herself in the process somehow, she was impulsive after all. In any case, she would be fine and he had to simply have everything laid out for the immediate future. He forgot to declare a timeframe: his portals made time barely relevant most of the time and his own sense of time had become distorted for reasons only he could know, but that would be an issue dealt with when appropriate.
It was something exciting to be able to actually see the Elven Culture and libraries in person. Much lore and arcane knowledge could be garnered as well and frankly it might be the first time he's taken a proper vacation. As she arrived, he dismissed the mages assuring them he could be easily reached through a communication spell that he made that linked to a crystal.
"Yes, good afternoon indeed Duchess, I was just making the last preparations for the trip though I can't help but to suspect I may have to teleport back to here from time to time. He stands up, wearing his typical Headmaster's robe because hell if its not a lot easier to describe a mage wearing a robe compared to the elaborate gowns of the ladies.
"Well in any case, lets not keep your employees waiting at Kanto." Adrain says as he picks up a satchel with academic materials and slings it over his shoulder while having a single case to pick up. Seeing that Melda had dismissed her help, he holds his hands up as he summons one of his golems to approach. It picks up Melda's belongings since he assumed the Duchess wouldn't pick it up for herself, but it was also a gesture of respecting her privacy having an animate thing do the work.
"Anything in particular you look forward to about this trip?" the mage inquires innocently enough as he conjured a portal, waiting for Melda to enter since she should be used to it by now and it was a gentlemanly gesture. Once she was in the golem would follow, and Adrain himself lastly, closing the portal on the other end. He looks around then waits for Melda to hail her people for the next leg of the trip. He looked around, making certain the portal didn't disrupt too much on the other side since he rarely came to Kanto this way and wouldn't be sure if it was communicated on the other end.

Melda Delsaran Vanya Melda nodded in understanding, Yes, I understand, the same may need to happen for me as well, depending on if the King calls for my aid. she responded lightly, fully understanding the call of work. As he has a golem take her bags, she smiles and thanks him walking towards the portal with him. As he asks his question, she hums in thought, stepping through the portal before responding.
Well, I haven’t seen the head of my staffing in a while… he was a close friend of the family, so that will be nice. Aside from that… There’s a little pond on my families estate… I used to love sitting by it, watching the fish swim. It was my favourite place in the whole world. Melda spoke fondly, her face lighting up with honesty.
After responding, she glances around, spotting the carriage with her families colours painted on it; silver and purple. She waves her hand at the driver, gesturing to Adrain where to go. Hello Cameron, long time! Melda addressed the man kindly as he opened the door for her to step inside, then directing Adrain and the Golem to the back, where he opened a compartment for them to place the bags.

Adrain smiled as Melda seemed to speak with a childlike wonder at the pond. Deep down she was an elf with a love for nature even with the public face of haughtiness or the mask. Perhaps he would have to see the lake later, but to assert himself as doing so might be overly forward or intrude upon a place that Melda considered sacred in a sense. He was slightly curious as to the relationship she had with the head of staff since she mentioned him specifically, but put it out of his mind since really it wasn't much of his business.
The mage followed as requested to the storage compartment of the carriage, putting Melda's things in first by transferring it from the golem with his own hands and then putting his neatly to the other side. Once the golem was done, Adrain held his hand over it as it shrunk down, collapsing into a smaller, partially diamond like shape and then opens a portal back to the Arch, stepping through momentarily to drop the golem off in his chambers before returning back out. He thought about having the golem packed, but figured it would weigh too much and it would speak to disrespect most likely. He'd have to contain some of his magical tendencies for this trip, at least around Melda's manor and staff.
Once the packing was taken care of and things were settled, he would enter the carriage and sit on the opposite side from Melda, his lips thinned slightly: carriages always seemed to strike him as more of a target than a transport, but he had to assume the best here even if he would rather shadowstep or just fly through the space in between, but this was part of the noble imagery one supposed.
As he was about to say something, an audible thud could be felt as something unseen seemingly hopped in the carriage. Adrain glares as he grasps at the thin air, picking up something slightly and glaring at it. "Serai.." he says partially annoyed. The tiger then appears out of thin air, grabbed by the scruff as Adrain looked sternly at him. "I should have known you'd try to sneak through the portal, I didn't want you to trouble Duchess Vanya with your..propensity for mischief."
Unless Melda said something to stop him, he would move to leave the carriage and begin conjuring a portal to deal with the stowaway kitty. Serai meanwhile looked at Melda as if asking for help, looking as pathetic as a tiger could.

Melda Delsaran Vanya As Adrain entered the carriage, Melda raised an eyebrow, a very amused look on her face. I had a strong feeling that you would make a face similar to the one you have now… I take it you’re not one for small spaces as this? Melda jested lightly.
When they were jolted lightly, Melda looked alarmed at first, but quickly calmed down as Adrain assured her it was Serai. Oh, let him join us. He’ll probably get treated like a small prince once we arrive; my staff seems to love all animals. Melda laughed as Adrain brought the naughty cat into the carriage, shaking her head lightly. Unless you’d prefer to leave him behind. She shrugged, not wanting to force him,
Should he let the cat stay, Melda would motion for Serai to join her on her side of the carriage, lifting an arm to place over him. Besides, how could you say no to that face? She cooed lightly. After a moment, she looked back up to Adrian, smiling. You know- you’ve find a life companion here- the cat I mean. He’s bonded with you. Melda rushed through her words, quickly hearing them and how they sounded. She seriously needed to think more before she spoke around this man.

"Can't say I'm normally the biggest fan of small spaces no, but I also tend to prefer things that most people raise a brow at like shadowstepping or flight." Adrain says with a small shrug. When Melda stated to let the cat come aboard, he exhaled a slight sigh of defeat and relented on tugging the cat out. Serai meanwhile triumphantly hopped next to Melda as she gestured and rubbed his face against Melda's shoulder affectionately.
"If you wish, but if he ends up stripping you down again then it's not my fault." he says quietly with a slight chuckle. "But seriously, I wasn't certain if really you'd want him to trouble your house or staff since he acts like an animal a tenth his size half the time and has ten times more the consequences." Adrain says with a shrug. When Melda commented on the fact that he had a life companion in the cat with some slightly awkward phrasing, he shrugged again.
"I know, he's a good companion he really is, he does seem to look out for others in his clumsy way." he states as Serai swatted his tail back and forth as if understanding. "In any case, if he does cause too much trouble then I'll ship him back out but I'd hate to delay this expedition much further." he states, ready to move along with this trip

Melda Delsaran Vanya As he explained himself, Melda nodded, agreeing that his logic made sense. Fair, though I do prefer the novelty of this. Its such a simple thing; traveling by carriage. Yet it can bring some wonder as you pass the world by, new scenery every moment. Melda chanted lightly, getting a bit whimsical at the thought of almost being home. As the carriage starts moving, Melda just smiles to herself, petting Serai absently.
Yes yes, I’ll be sure to take note of that. Melda rolled her eyes, thinking the chances of that happening again were very slim. Dont worry about it. My staff could use the fun and work; they’ve have over a century off. Melda jested, making a face at him.
As long as you two take care if each other, everything will be fine. Animals are loyal no matter what. Melda smiled, scratching behind the cats ear before looking back out the window. So you’re joining me on this “expedition”, simply to learn more about elven culture; yes?

"I suppose you're right, I am the sort who tends to almost never stop moving so to stop and smell the roses as it were might be one thing I should do more often, a carriage ride along those lines." he says, yielding the point to Melda at least in terms of the recreational value of the ride through the Carriage. He couldn't help but to laugh a little when Melda spoke in disdain about his not that serious concern about the tiger stripping her down. The fact he can get away with that sort of joke compared to how rigid Melda normally was sorta made him smile a bit that there was a bit of a real friendship there. The comment about the staff having a century off made him raise a brow.
"Oh, yes, I imagine you might have the same people there this entire time, sort of odd to think that if you were completely absent for that long they could have had families or even several generations spawned since then." he says, admiring Melda a moment as the thought that even a hundred years or more later she was still young and radiant looking, but then thoughts had to be purged as he focused back on reality.
As Melda asked about his motivation, he nodded and looked out the window into the horizon for a moment. "Yes, you see I've always admired the Elven culture since magic has always been long a part of their tradition. I draw some inspiration from it for how the Arch should be, but what's even more I would like to study some of their magical studies if possible, as well as observe and participate in the culture as much as I may be able to. I admit I have a soft spot for elven students since they are rarer and seem to take less for granted in the world than other races might. I would have gone of my own accord, but the difficulty of finding the land, my own schedule, and the likely resistance to letting outsiders in has kept me from really going too far on such an expedition."

Melda Delsaran Vanya See you say that, yet it was you who offered to sit with me for an entire afternoon to watch the lights at the Arch. Melda raised an eyebrow, questioning his logic. When she’d somehow made Adrain laugh, she looked at him confused, wondering what he found funny. Deciding to ignore it, she glanced out the window as he spoke about her staff. She’d always loved the road through the forest towards her city. It was lovely, hidden away in the middle of a very large forest.
Well, the main ones are elven- they’ll look nearly the same as when I left them. The others, yes they have probably progressed down to their great grandchildren- but none of them are forced to work there. They’re free to find their own paths. It’s not like I need many people there. Melda shrugged, still petting Serai’s head absently, staring out the window, missing whatever realization Adrain had for a moment.
As he answered her question, she looked back to him, listening attentively. That makes sense. We are a very conservative people. Well, I’m sure they’ll welcome you kindly. Melda smiled, not having too much to add. She was simply going to visit her home.
As time went on, the two would chat idly, filling the gap of time it took to get there by carriage, rather than Adrains precious portals. As they reached the city limits, Melda poked Adrains shin lightly with the tip of her shoe to get his attention. We are officially in the Elven City. She smiled again, looking back out the window. About 10 minutes later, they pulled into a larger road, leading to a manor just larger than the Walker Estate- Melda had sold a lot of her families land. They didn’t need it in her opinion. And seeing it was only her, no one minded. As the carriage came to a halt in front of the door, Melda took a deep breath, moving to step out of the carriage as the driver opened her door, Serai probably hopping out with her. She took a few steps towards the stairs, before turning back to Adrain. Welcome to my home.
The Manor was built with gray brick, the roof a slightly darker grey. There were windows lining all three levels, all symmetrical with each other. The house was built in a curved shape, the front decorated with hedges and trees around the cobblestone way for carriages. Out back there was a large open field, wrapped in a fence. There was two large barns back there, one for the three horses and one for the hens. Beyond the field was more trees, and of course other estates.
When Adrian would end up inside the front foyer, he would find a staircase to his right, not too far from the door, leading to the second level, and on the exact opposite end on that level, was the staircase leading to the third. The walls were a lovely brown, decorated nicely with a deep blue and gold carpet and stair covers. The hall ways of both the second and third floors were lined with portraits of relatives, and there were no doubt some of Melda and her family through the ages. In fact, the very first one on the landing of the first stair case next to the door, was of a young, stunning Melda, in the arms of a tall man with short shaggy hair, black as a crow. His eyes were a light, pale grey, and his skin was not too pale, yet not that tan either. In the portrait he wore his battle attire, save a few pieces to bulky for the painting. Melda was smiling radiantly, in her lovely ice blue gown on, made of sheer fabrics layered together, with her silver hair down, cascading around her, while Lucas was staring boldly ahead, not more than a hint of emotion on his face. Melda was far far younger in the portrait, and thus some of her “rules” were not in place yet. For example, said gown was incredibly revealing, the sleeves down on her shoulders, keeping her collar bone and cleavage line rather open.
As they would walk inside, Melda would give him a moment to gather himself, before turning to the sound of footsteps approaching. A man entered the foyer in a suit, skin dark and hair black, a small smile on his face. Melda smiled back, approaching him. It’s been quite a long time, Marcus. Melda mused, pulling him into a hug. Indeed it has My Lady. Melda pulled away from the hug, and turned to face Adrain again, presenting Marcus to him. Marcus, this is Duke Adrain Kaiaru, Headmaster of the Arch of Ages, magic school of Nova. Melda introduced him to the fullest. And that, his adorable cat Serai. Adrain, Serai, this is Marcus, my oldest friend, and head of staff. Marcus took a bow, It’s a pleasure. He stood, again, ordering someone to grab their luggage.

"Well I did enjoy your company, and you weren't complaining. Besides at the time I was just freshly made a Duke and didn't have my ambitious projects started yet." Adrain retorts as Melda called him out about the first time they met and interacted in any meaningful way, the springs not really counting. He nodded as Melda responded about the family situation.
"I agree, I think it's just really remarkable about how your people view you to keep things tight and clean even when you are absent for a time. It speaks very highly of who you are." he says with a smile to the duchess. As she commented that they would welcome him, he shrugged but nodded. "I can only hope so."
While the chat and banter went by, Adrain had procured a bottle of wine through reaching through a small portal and shared it with Melda to whatever extent she wanted, or put it away if she didn't wish it at all. It was a long ride and the wine made it more enjoyable if used. Even Melda had to admit his precious portals were handy for even frivolous bits at times. Before he knew it, Melda had poked him with her foot stating that they were within the Elven city. He watched with a slight sense of wonder at the bits of architecture and natural surroundings he could gleam from the windows of the carriage without leaning too overtly in any direction. A short time later, Melda's manor would manifest. When the door opened the cat did hop out and looked around in feline wonder while Adrain exited last.
He looked impressed with the careful design of the manor and how natural it seemed with regards to the surroundings. His eyes took in the whole place, and even a part of him felt a little inferior in the sense that he hadn't commissioned his own manor yet despite his nobility rank. No matter. In the foyer, Adrain noted the interior, getting a brief map memorized as well as he could, though his eyes were drawn to the portrait. This must have been Melda's husband, though Melda herself was admittedly stunning. He stared for just a moment, seeing the world of difference this younger Melda was versus the now. She hardly aged if at all, but her demeanor definitely reflected greater wisdom than the newlywed Melda seemed to not have yet.
As Melda greeted her head of staff and embraced him like an old friend, he stood patiently since this was more Melda's moment than anything to enjoy being at her home again. It made him wonder why she chose to stay at the castle full time instead of at least having a presence in this lovely home, but in a sense Melda was probably as work focused as he and to travel here from Nova would probably be a matter of days instead of hours from the portal shortcut. He may need to make Melda a teleportation ring for this place to make it easier for her if she wished. Once introduced, he returned the bow out of respect.
"A pleasure to meet you as well." he replies not having anything more elaborate come to mind to say since he was the stranger in this situation. Once a servant was designated to get the luggage, he looked to Melda.
"Your home is very impressive Melda, you weren't kidding when you mentioned how immaculate your staff maintained the place for you." he replied, once again not having anything too elaborate to say. Perhaps he was fatigued from being cramped in the carriage, who knows.
Serai meanwhile slinks around, brushing against Melda's legs as he walked by her. He sniffed around, looking at Marcus with a tilted feline head, and slowly explored the open area, sniffing about randomly but keeping his energy in check

Melda Delsaran Vanya As the introductions were done for the time being, Melda gave Adrain a moment to look around the foyer, catching his glance to the portrait on the stair landing. That’s Lucas, if you hadn’t already guessed. The head of the house is always painted and placed on that landing to show them off to the guests; that was the last portrait done of me here so its the only one they can really put up. I really should sit for another soon, so we can take that down. Melda commented nonchalantly walking back closer to him.
When he said her home was impressive, she smiled humbly. Well thank you. I can’t take any credit for it; the decorations are still my mothers. I never bothered to change anything. And I can probably assure you that it wasn’t this clean before they received word from me, but I don’t mind. Melda laughed lightly, noting his more fatigued state. Well, if you’ll follow me up these stairs, I can show you to your room. Melda offered, which was when Marcus spoke up again. My Lady, we’ve prepared your room, and the room down the hall to it as a guest room, is that alright? Melda turned back to her old friend. Yes, of course. Thank you Marcus. Please have Duke Kaiaru’s things brought there then, and mine to my chambers of course. Marcus nodded and went outside to relay the message.
Turning back to Adrian, she smiled and headed towards the stairs. As she passed the portrait, she grazed her fingers along the bottom of the frame idly, not stopping to actually look at it. She went up that flight, walked down the hall, and proceeded up the second flight to the third floor. She glanced back at Adrain as she went up the second flight. I apologize for all the stairs. My parents always gave the third floor to me, so its become habit for people to prepare the third floor for my guests. I can have them set up one on the second floor if you’d prefer it however. Should Adrain decide to keep the third floor room, Melda would smile and walk down the hall to a door on her right. She would then open it and reveal his room. It was a brown toned room, with a lovely window and set of doors leading to a balcony. There was a bed covered in a lovely ornate blanket, across from it was a couch of similar design. (Better shown in the link below). After giving him a moment to look around, Melda leaned against the doorway. Is this alright?
(Now, should he decide he’d prefer a room on the second floor, Melda would go back down and ask Marcus to prepare a new room, and then ask Adrain if he’d like to rest somewhere else in the meantime.)

"Ah yes, well you look stunning in that picture, I'm certain a new portrait would be equally so." Adrain says, a bit absentmindedly trying to pay the duchess a compliment, though his expression shifts slightly as he realized he may have misspoken about casually the portrait with her late husband being so casually not needed. "Apologies, I mean no disrespect to the departed." he tacks on quickly, possibly unnecessarily.
He couldn't help but chuckle a little as Melda mentioned that the servants likely had to hustle to make the place immaculate on word of Melda's arrival, when she mentioned showing him to her room, he nodded not really picky or in a mood to protest a more awake state. "Yes I admit I probably didn't sleep enough preparing the Arch for the past few days for my absence while visiting the Elven City." he says, then following Melda up the stairs, chuckling a little when Melda apologized for the stairs.
"Oh I don't mind at all, you should try going from the bottom of the Arch to the top when the pod elevator isn't working. I do that a couple times a week for fitness but it's not for the meek of lungs." he says with a soft smile to Melda. As Adrain was shown the room he was stunned. The culture and color of it was something beyond what he was used to. As Melda asked if it was alright, he rubbed the back of his head.
"Well, I think this room puts my quarters at the Arch to shame, now I feel bad about that time you stayed over if this is what you're used to." he says, looking around and approaching the window, looking out at the surroundings for a second before turning back to Melda.
"Once again, truly, thank you for this opportunity to visit your home and homeland. Just seeing your home alone probably makes the endeavor worth it with the architecture and magnificence of it." he says, flattering the duchess a little though a bit less eloquently than normal due to tiredness.

Melda Delsaran Vanya Melda chuckled lightly to herself. I appreciate that. I think we both know exactly why I would like a new one done. When I was younger I was a lot less modest. Melda shook her head. She wasn’t ashamed of who she used to be, but changing that portrait up wouldn’t be a bad thing. Hearing Adrains add on she glanced behind her at him and smiled. None was taken. She assured. You really should take better care of yourself. I don’t want to come find you passed out on your desk again. She teased, bringing up a past occasion.
Happy he was going to be okay with the stairs, she glanced over at him before opening the door for him, catching the smile. Her face became a bit rosier, and gestured he enter the room. Yes well, physical health is important. Was her only response. His reaction to the room had Melda giggling. Oh hush. Your quarters are perfectly fine! I actually prefer the style you have compared to this. Mind you, the size does differ. My chambers are a lot bigger than this. She leaned against the doorframe, just teasing again at this point. As he thanked her, she dropped the joking and smiled honestly. It really hasn’t been a problem. I should have visited home a long time ago, i just.. never did. So thank you I guess. Melda looked behind her as a servant came up the stairs, placing Adrains bags just beyond the threshold of the door before moving 15ft or so down the hall to Meldas room and doing the same. Thank you Ally. Melda touched the young womans shoulder lightly as she passed by again. So. I guess I will leave you here, give you some time to rest. If you need me, my door is the only other one down the hall. Melda gestured to the right of the door with a smile, before turning to leave, glancing back at him once more, her face still semi pink.
Melda's chambers: Once entering the main doors, one would see a parlour, with large glass doors opposite the ones they entered leading to a large balcony. A bit off to the left of them is a lovely sitting area with a couch, two chairs and a table, all lovely light blues in colour (the table a deep brown), with a fireplace on the wall in front of the couch. Off to the right is a vanity and large wardrobe. Next to the doors on the right was a old looking desk and chair, covered in old papers and some picture frames. Between the vanity and wardrobe was another door, leaving to a lavatory. Opposite to that, on the left next to the sitting area, was another door, beside the fireplace, leading to her bedchambers, where a large canopied bed was in the middle of the room, pale purple and silvers accented over the whole thing. there was a large bay window beside it to the right. The only other thing in that room was the two side tables, on either side of the bed.

"Well still, your generosity in this indulgence I will have to pay you back for in some shape or form." he says, yawning. When the servant moves to place the items at the door, Adrain moves to pick up the bags and put them in the room when an appropriate moment was made. As Melda commented and made move to part, he nodded and sat on one of the couches. He leans back and closes his eyes, not one the intrude Melda's privacy despite her mentioning where she was.
Meanwhile, when Melda entered the chamber, she might hear a slight sound while opening the door or detect a move in the wind. Before long, she'd hear a thud on the couch, the large phantom tiger manifesting on the furniture, looking at Melda with a tilted head.

Melda Delsaran Vanya That is entirely up to you. She smiled, turning and leaving. When she reached her door, she grabbed the handle, turning it and cracking the door open. She paused when she felt a shift in the wind, looking behind her. When nothing was there, she shook her head, pushing the door open the rest of the way, and grabbing her bags to bring inside. Once they were in the room, she turned and shut the door, turning back to face the room. Thats when she saw Serai. You… You are a little brat you know. She commented lightly before moving towards the tiger and scratching behind his ears lightly. Adrain probably wouldn’t like you in here… but shhhh… I don’t mind. She winked at the cat, moving to unpack her bags.
Once that had been completed (it had taken about 40 minutes), Melda decided to make herself more comfortable by taking her complicated hairstyle out, and just letting her long silver hair rest down her back. Because of how it had been styled, some ends were curled while the rest was wavey. From there, Melda sat on her chair and began writing in her little book; she brought that thing everywhere. Usually she only wrote in the mornings in the Castle Gardens, and sometimes mid afternoon if something happened in between. But this morning she hadn’t had the chance, and thus she did so now. She didn’t mind; plus having Serai there made it feel more comfortable. She wasn’t alone.
There was a knock at her door about half an hour later, to which Melda spoke loud enough for them to enter. It was Ally again, with a tray of tea and some small pastries. Excuse me Lady Vanya. Marcus suggested I bring this to you. There’s an extra cup if your guest would like to join you. Melda nodded. Thank you Ally. Would you mind asking him on your way back down? The petite brunette agreed, taking her leave.
She walked the short distance down the hall, stopping at the Duke’s door. Adrain would here a light and hesitant knock. When the door would open, Ally would take a step back, curtsying for him before proposing her question. Ahem… Lady Vanya has received tea in her chambers, and we were unsure if you would be joining her; if you would like to, an extra cup has been brought to her chambers already. Ally looked away, finished with her speech, and bowed her head again, taking her leave.
