Adrain would have a message sent to the mercenary Sai to meet him at the Bloody Mary in the rear booth farthest from the door. The matter at hand was a job that required discretion and subtlety that he himself couldn't do. A substantial compensation was promised if done, the exact number to be told in person. It was also indicated that she could have help if need be, but they have to be able to perform to expectations for the job at hand.
When Sai and whomever else she brought with her would arrive, Adrain would be in the back in a plain black cloak, the hood raised over his head. A mug of ale on the table along with a small sack would be visible while Adrain himself was looking at a paper.

When Sai had gotten the message that Adrain wanted to see her and given the instructions in the message she figured that it was about a job. Dressing for a job she smiled as she looked in the mirror she was dressed in black from head to toe minus the straps that she got to place her sword in on her back similar to a quiver of arrows. Around her middle was a black leather buckle up corset giving her small chest a little lift but also protecting the important parts of her body, pulling on the black hood she did a few turns in the mirror before grabbing her weapons. She placed the Zhu Que Wing Dagger into one of the slots on her belt with a few more of her throwing knives, last she placed her short sword on her back in the little sheath that she made to place it in. Feeling that she was ready to go she had sent a message while she was getting ready for Alekir to meet her at the Bloody Mary the place that they first met but informing him that it was a job request from Adrain. Leaving she kissed the forehead of each of her kids and left telling them that soon once the spring was over they will be moving into a bigger place. Walking out the door she took her time as she made her way to the Bloody Mary. Once at the Bloody Mary she first looked around to see if Alekir had arrived yet not seeing him she then looked toward the rear booth seeing a man in pitch black with a hood over his head. Walking passed all the tables she took a seat across from the figure watching him for a moment before speaking. “You know you if you wanted to meet somewhere else I could have given you a more secluded meeting place.” She said as she removed her hood and pulled her silver locks out letting her hair rest on her back. Alekir gave a sigh of relief when he had gotten the letter. This time he wasn't needed to run very far as he was actually in the second district when he had gotten the letter so he just walked to the Bloody Marty. As Alekir entered he scanned the entire area to see what kind of people were there today. Once he noticed Sai and Adrian he smiled and walked to where they were. "Hello Sai, I got your letter. Hello Adrian, pleasure to see you again." Alekir wanted to be brief as this was likely an important meeting and he didn't wish to be wasting time. "So let's get to the point. What are we here for Adrain?" Alekir said, chuckling.

"I will keep that in mind in the future Sai." he says with a small nod in response to the comment regarding a more secluded place. Before long, her partner in any sense of the word showed up and he nodded when he asked to get down to business.
"Very well." he says, touching the table as a subtle current of mana surrounds the table making the conversation to the outside sound like an irrelevant discussion about property and home buying. Once the spell was in place, he knelt forward, both his hands intertwining into a thoughtful pose for a moment.
"The mission I have in mind is this. There is a mage in the city who peddles in goods that are illegal, though to what extent of illegal I don't fully know. He or she seems to specialize in powerful but volatile enchantments that can change a body permanently. Somebody I consider a close friend was impacted by one such item." Adrain says, reaching into his robe and pulling a ring with glyphs out, laying it on the table so the two sellswords can look at it.
"I've been working to track this individual down, but my magical abilities give away my presence to a mana adept, even with using concealment spells. This individual obviously has gone through great lengths to avoid detection for illegal activity. Thus...I need this individual located and marked along with evidence of a specific item being sold to a certain noble. When you find their location retrieve paperwork with noble house crests on it." he says, then place two more objects on the table. One is a circle with glyphs on it, a faintly glowing light coming from the runes. The other is a faintly glowing jagged crystal.
"The circle glyph will glow when it detects traces of the magic used to create the ring. Unfortunately since most of the magic was discharged by the time I came in possession of it, it isn't as strong as it could be, and certainly before I've ever gotten a reading the target would conceal themselves. The second stone will discharge an arcane mark that lets me sense them once it's happened. I would vastly prefer the target alive in case I need them to testify." he says then his expression growing significantly more icy.
"I've put no small effort in helping my friend with their issues, and I need leverage against the person who caused this to make certain they interfere. Best case, it won't come to that but worst case I need the tool at my disposal. As far as payment. Five thousand each up front, twenty thousand each upon satisfactory completion." he says, then waiting for a response.

Sai flashed a small almost unnoticeable smile at Alekir happy that he could be here with her today before she turned back to Adrain any sign of the display of emotion was gone as it became business. She only nodded her head when he mentioned that in the future that she could pick the secluded location for them to have a meeting.
When he used magic on the table she didn’t bat an eye but she did wonder that what if someone picked up on the subtle hint of magic. Shaking her head figuring it was an issue for a later time and if anything she and Alekir could use a nice warm up before going about whatever hunt Adrain wanted them to do.
She placed her elbows on the table with her fingers interlocked as her head rested just on top of her heads as she listened to Adrain. It was a simple mission from what her gathered find the mage that was dealing with illegal items, bring them in alive and find proof of them selling the items to a noble family. It wasn’t that hard finding some connections with anything illegal wouldn’t be that hard but finding any paperwork would be hard since not many kept a paper trail in case they were found out. Reaching out she picked up the ring, her fingers tracing over the glyphs engravened into it she felt a small amount of magic on that was familiar to her own shifting magic but the signature was off.
“Well Adrain I can tell you one thing. This was made by someone of my race, it give us an idea on where to start. Though it might take a while since not many in our line of work need items like this.” She said as she ran her finger over the ring then placed it back on the table it still a pretty ring even with it being enchanted. She looked at Alekir wondering what he thought about this whole thing maybe he knew someone that could give them a better lead but she wasn’t sure if he dealt with mages.
When Adrain pulled out the next two items she looked at them careful as he explained what each item was sued for. The first one was simple and if anything, she could play it off as bracelet or something while the crystal Alekir could carried on him. Even with an idea on how to pass off the items as something almost normal but that was going to make it more fun. Plus, she wasn’t going to lie she was looking forward to doing an officalish job with Alekir and they could be very lovey dovey while on the job and be a bit more open about they relationship.
“I’ll do the job Adrain but I am going to need some information cause not many people keep paper work on all there illegal business transaction but if they do we are going to need to know what the crest of the noble house look like.” She asked since she didn’t know all the different noble crest and looking for one noble crest would hard enough as it was. “Alekir dear what do you think?”

Alekir paused for a moment, unfazed by the magic Adrian had used. He took in all the information that Adrain gave, didn't sound like it would be the most difficult job he would ever do but......there was always that one, annoying unpredictable factor when it comes to this kind of thing. Alekir snapped out of his train of thought when Sai spoke to him. "Hm? Oh right....well honestly.....I have no qualms with this. Go in, mark the bastard, take some things and leave. Sounds fine on paper but we all know that it's likely not going to go as smoothly as that." Alekir chuckled "Sounds like my kind of job. I'm in."

Adrain thinks quietly, listening to Sai's concerns as he evaluated how to respond to her. Alekir seemed more ready to go on, but at this point he had to weigh the level of trust he has for Sai to maintain discretion. They had journeyed together a couple of times, but he knew she was a sellsword and while he believed he could trust her, there was a slight anxiety at the prospect of someone paying her for the information. In the end, he had to go with what he thought, at the end he would grant them a bonus for their maintained silence on the manner.
"I have reason to believe that this individual is...arrogant, such that they might try to use the weight of their family name to enforce discretion. Plus a lot of times a bank note requires a formal documentation for something that might be written off as a legitimate exchange such as 'Services Rendered' or something along those lines. If there is a failure to find the crest in question, then I will have to substitute it for a written confession of some sort most likely." he says as he then pulls out a blank parchment and a self ink contained pen, writing a rough image of what the D'varanches crest looked like. Figuring the pair would likely read documentation there was no point in withholding the name.
"The name you're looking for is D'varanches, the elder Baroness most likely. I will reward you both for discretion and a maintained silence well should everything fall into place and the results at least achieve the ends I require." he says, having heard rumors of a newer orphanage. It was a good cause to support if so.

Sai nodded her head it made sense many nobles that she came across believes that money could buy someone’s silent on a matter. Though finding a bank note would be easy to find given that most people tend to make more than one copy in case something happens. Her eyes went to the paper the crest was interesting to say the least and different than most noble crest it wouldn’t be hard to find something that stands out from other crest. “Wait you mean the D'varanches who’s daughter ran out the moon temple just last year in a wedding dress?” She asked since it was an interesting sight to see the girl holding her white dress and running down a hill she was surprise that she didn’t trip.
Though even with knowing who they were after in a sense of what they needed to find. The idea of being paid to keep silent on the matter was another means of keeping the orphanage open and allowing the children to have a better life. It would be nice for her not to have to take another job for a while since she could see Adrain paying them big for getting this done. “Well you can count us in for sure. Though do we have a time limit to find this information. "
