Lilith had decided she needed a little "adventure" in her life. A year ago she never would have set foot in an Arena to intentionally fight a creature, but now she'd fought zombies and healed fallen angels, so she felt a bit more qualified for the task. Now the there seemed to be more and more crazy things happening around the Kingdom, Lilith had wanted to be sure her magic was getting stronger. Rather than going against some punching dummies, or soldiers she could potentially injure, Lilith figured she'd try out an arena; it was real time fighting, no holding back, and a creature who wouldn't give two damns about her. It would allow her to test her magical and physical abilities which hadn't happened all that much since her little side quest she'd neglected to mention to Noku on Aria's request. Now she was just waiting outside the gates of the Arena, her magical scythe in hand, dressed exactly as she was during the Siege; black form fitting pants to make movement easier, flat and gripping boots to match, and a plain long sleeved black shirt; she'd abandoned the long coat due to the warming weather. Her platinum hair was down as it was last time, resting behind her like a cloak. All she was waiting for was the OK from the Arena Master and she'd be ready.

Upon her registration, the individual known as Lilith Harmonia would receive a letter indicating date and time of her battle. A guard would instruct her to enter the participants gate upon her arrival with a deep and monotone voice. The guard bore silver armor that had been tattered and bloodied with time and with bravery.
The gate would open before the woman opening up to the stadium of the arena. The announcer's voice would boom over the mixed crowd that was filled with people from all across Nova. "It seems that Ms Harmonia is a popular participant here in the kingdom of Nova." the announcer boasted. People who had heard rumors of her courtship with the king had gathered to see what their new potential queen had in her. "Participating in a Class B battle, Lilith Harmonia!" the crowd would cheer, but with faint hesitation, as they wanted to see what the elf was made of.
The gate opposite of the elf would open slowly before her, and reveal an manna dire serpent. The serpent was large in size, ranging 10 feet in length, with dark green scales, and it's eyes were a red in colour. The snake would slither around the arena, letting it's body out into the open, really revealing it's size. The beast would then attack, aiming it's fangs at the elf's leg, while simultaneously wrapping it's tail around one of her ankles.

Lilith braced herself as the gates were lifted, hearing the crowd just barely through her concentration. She knew Noku was out there somewhere, watching her; she highly doubted this could go unnoticed by him. It might be the best chance she had to prove to him that she wasn’t all the fragile. Lilith stepped out into the light, eyes staring down the beast, her scythe ready in her right hand.
As the ball was dropped and the serpent struck down at her feet, Lilith leapt up dodging the fangs, while slicing her scythe down against its tail. Given that her scythe is enchanted (read enchantment on character sheet), the vine spelled into the handle whipped out, slashing against the inner belly of the serpent.

Since the serpent already had the elf's ankle in it's tail's clutch, when she struck it with her scythe, the serpent would squeeze the right ankle, spraining it, then would release after it's belly was cut, tripping the elf as it did so. The serpent would then swerve back around, and dart for the woman's leg when she was on the ground sinking it's teeth into her left thigh. The serpent had a manna-infused venom that would trickle down the serpent's teeth and just graze the wound. When it would enter the blood stream in 5 minutes, the venom would burn like a fire. Then the serpent would unhinge it's fangs, and the venom cannot be seen by the eye.

Lilith fell to the side, loosing her footing thanks the the snakes tail. The vine on her scythe would lash out once she was released, protecting her so she could stand. Thankfully it wasn't sprained too badly. Quickly Lilith healed her ankle, it taking no more than a moment for her to do. Before she could stand fully, it was on her again, breaking the flesh around her thigh. Lilith didn't know enough about this particular snake to know if it had poisonous venom, but she supposed she would find out soon enough and heal it once she knew how it would effect her. She bashed it on the head with the hilt of her scythe to get it to release her. Should it not, she would drop the scythe for a moment a reach out with her bare hands, grabbing right next to both eyes. Burning Hands! She shouted, activating her spell. (See profile for spell). The snakes flesh would bubble as she boiled it, nearly setting it on fire. Assuming it moved, she would leap to the side, not bothering to close the wound on her leg yet; until she knew what the venom did she didn't want to mess with it.
While the snake was effected by the burns, Lilith ran towards it, slashing the blade of her scythe down against its back before running away again.

When the hilt of her scythe hit the snake's head, it would release the woman's thigh, but the fangs would scratch her leg as it release, and it would slither in the other direction, it's tail hitting her again and knocking her over with force this time. The snake would then zip around again, and with speed, bite her arm, this venom being different. This time, the venom would spread immediately, and would sprout painful thorns throughout the bloodstream as it went, which would puncture the skin causing it to be more painful. This poison would be spread from her arms, onward to her chest, if she didn't heal herself quickly, it could puncture her heart.
Each time the woman hit her scythe against the beast, it would cause a small wound, but the wound would have vines grow over it to repair it. Little did the woman realize, this dire serpent was a earth-fire elemental serpent, and the scythe that she used would have little to no damage on the beast.
Slowly the woman would begin to feel the burning pain from the fire venom spreading from her thighs through to the rest of her legs.

Theo sat in the audience, watching as the woman whom the king selected to court fought off the monstrosity of a beast. Theo sat higher up in the stands, away from most people, watching attentively, noticing that the woman healed herself with ease. Theo overall was impressed by the woman. Not just from her ability to go out and battle a beast before the kingdom, but also from her behavior in the trial room, and at the dinner party. She really did seem a suitable match for the king; kind and courteous, but strong and independent. Theo crossed his arms, and just... watched.

Lilith fell backwards, the fangs getting her thigh, being knocked back again as its tail swung out at her. Before she could react, it had her arm. She scrambled up, putting distance between herself and the best, her healthy hand grabbing the poisoned arm, healing it immediately. Her healing powers had gotten stronger lately, and she was healed of both venoms in seconds. Once that was completed, she looked back up at the serpent, her eyes hard. She needed to wrap this up; her weapon wasn’t doing as much as she’d hoped, though the vine protecting her was helpful. It blocked sneak attacked from the tail when she was focused on its head. From the distance she was at, Lilith bent down, placing her hands flat on the ground as she activated another one of her spells; the one she’d used to take down a large chuck of undead creatures during the siege. Ground of Spikes! She called out (Ground of Spikes -- Any surface made of stone, rock, clay, dirt, etc. will rise and shape themselves into long sharp points. Stepping on them can impale their limbs. They hold no other magic than that, and will not move again unless the user allows them to relax back to their natural forms. — Master)
The spikes formed within the arena, shooting out in various directions, sharp tips stabbing up at least 10ft in the air. After this, she mumbled another spell, unsure of how affective it would be on the serpent, but it was worth a shot. Evergreen eyes… She whispered. ( Evergreen Eyes -- The victim sees a thick mass of greenery in front of his/her eyes, and nothing else. Advantages: They can't see anyone around them, and are confused in movement. Disadvantages: The victim can hear everything around them. The spell doesn't last more than 5 minutes. — Master)

The serpent would feel the ground rustle, and it's natural instincts would kick in. It would slither it's body quickly around the arena, avoiding the spikes emerging from the ground as much as it could. A spike would impale the end of its tail, and the beast would hiss in pain. Before it could be stuck there for long, it would rip the end of it's tail, escaping the clutch of the ground spike, and vines would wrap its tail immediately as a healing mechanism. However, the second spell would be very effective on the serpent. It's vision was impaired, but its hearing abilities was much greater now. the beast would slither in between the pillars and spikes, hitting its head occasionally on the now-randomized and unfamiliar terrain. The serpent would be unable to see Lilith. But could hear the screams of the crowd, and also listened closely for its foe.

Seeing the spike shoot up and catch the serpents tail, Lilith picked up her scythe and jogged farther away from the area with the spikes. Once her second spell was in effect, she stopped moving completely, crouching down and placing her weapon back on the ground. Watching as the serpent slithered around, trying to hear her, she slowly placed her palms on the ground and whispered Molten Gorge… [ Molten Gorge: Lilith, upon placing both hands on solid earth, can open the earths crust in any size/shape she wants (up to 50ft radius), making a gorge and/or a pit of lava. It works quickly, so attackers only have a brief chance to move themselves out of the way. Lilith can’t control the lava. Stays open for 8 minutes. — Advanced ]
The earth would shake under the snake and the 20ft radius around it, as a crack formed down the middle, splitting open into a medium sized molten pit. Lilith watched eagerly to see if it had fallen in.

The serpent felt the shaking under it's belly, and begin to panic. It's vision was blurred and it felt it's senses grow overwhelmed. When it felt the tremors, it began to dart forward, but unfortunately, the opening caught the back end of it's body where it carried most of its weight. The serpent fell into the pit.
The surrounding crowd would break into a uproar of cheers and screams. Congratulations were sent to the victor through this mass hysteria of excitement as people grew inspired at the strength of their potential queen.

Theo watched attentively as she took a pause, and whispered to the ground. Soon after he felt tremors coming from under him, that resulted in a hole filled with lava. The serpent was vanquished as quickly as it had begun. Theo rose to his feet at the intrigue and watched as the beast fell into the boiling lava. For a moment, he thought that he saw the lava beneath the surface bubble and crash as the beast fell into it.
Theo followed the crowd in standing and clapping for her victory. Theo's fears eased as he put his firm hands together in celebration. He looked forward to meeting her and seeing what she could do in the position of queen. Theo straightened out himself, and left the arena, heading towards his office in the castle.
