A soft hum came as a large man finally walked into the Arch of Ages, it had taken him so Vanquishing long to get here, and he swore there had been at least one magical barrier that tried to bar his way as he made his way here. His nose twitched several times as he looked around. "I can smell the half breed, I suppose it's time we tell him what's going on, or at least about his home." Deidric says as he begins to walk towards Adrain's office. It was a slow walk and he got lost several times.
During his wandering the blonde man managed to grab the attention of plenty of students from the arch, anyone with any talent for sensing mana would sense a distinct lack of it in Deidric, and others would take not of his admittedly handsome face and strong physique. Deidric waved hello to several students and tried asking for directions several times until finally coming to the building with Adrain office in it.
He walked in and asked the first person he encountered. "Excuse me, I'm looking for a man, about this high with long white hair."

"Oh you mean the Headmaster? Last door down that hall" the staff member said pointing to Deidric. Once Deidric would go in, he would see Adrain manipulating a blue crystal, looking at it curiously. Deidric would recognize it as crystallized Mysu perhaps, but the Archmage seemed legitimately confused. When Deidric entered, he looked up, feeling uneasy once more.
"Oh...it's you again. What do you want to come all the way out here?" he says, sitting up and righting his posture.

"Thanks," Deidric replied after being given directions, then he walked down the hall and into a room with a surprising sight. "Well now, I didn't expect to see something like that here." Deidric extended a hand and the Mysu crystal glowed slightly. Deidric might have been totally inept at the use of manna, in fact he was basically anathema to it, but he was skilled at controlling Mysu, though he did not yet have the large reserves of the man who had trained Adrain.
As Adrain asked him why he was here Deidric's eyes narrowed. "Well you ran off after the arena fight so I didn't get a chance to finish my conversation with you." Then Deidric gestured at the crystal "but seeing this...how did you get so much Mysu all the way out here?"

"You'll have to excuse me for leaving, I felt something that made me extremely at unease. I had figured you had possessed some sort of unease spell." he says, his eyes turning attention to Deidric with a more serious expression than when he first entered the room. When he mentioned 'mysu' and the crystal, Adrain's brow raised.
"...Mysu? I've never heard of such...but this is a new phenomena to me. I touched a crystal of Caster's Sorrow and something changed it...into this. It is stable...potent...calming almost." he says, halfway distantly. "In all my time as a mage and an instructor, I had never encountered anything remotely close to this."

As Adrain explains the reason for his departure Deidric bursts out into laughter. “Hahaha, me having a spell that creates unease hahahaha,” after several seconds Deidric reigns himself in and back under control and looks at Adrain. “Listen kiddo, I can’t even manipulate mana, let along use it to do something as subtle as manipulate a vague emotion like unease. Besides, usually those feeling are caused by far more mundane sources.”
Deidric seemed to be taking everything in good humor and as Adrain continues to speak he closes his eyes. “I guess no one taught you much about Mysu.” Dreidric mused as he stepped into the room. His presence seemed to slightly disrupt mana around him as if it was moving away from him.
“Listen, that crystal is Mysu, it’s a force you and other Ku Deyu create and use. In a lot of ways it should be a natural energy for you to use for magic…though it might be harder with me in the room.” Deidric admitted, if someone didn’t tell this kid about mysu he was liable to transform by accident and do some real damage.
“If you’d like I can explain more to you, but if I am just bothering you I think I’ve got the answer to my question and I can leave you alone.”

Adrain listened quietly as Deidric went into a few comments and notes about Mysu and other things. He frowned, but shook his head when Deidric turned and mentioned leaving. "No, it's not that.." he says, exhaling deeply and waiting for Deidric to show he would stay before going forward.
"You see...I am the Headmaster of the Arch of Ages, a Duke in the Novian court of nobility, and a number of other things that imbue immense responsibility upon me. Yet..." he says, standing up and walking to a nearby window looking out at the land and people below. "...I can feel...something. Within me. It started the day that Helena attacked the city of Nova...my body approached a critical state and something happened. A wild, primal force felt like it was trying to break out. I was able to heal before it got loose, but I can tell its still there." he says, exhaling annoyingly.
"Yet...I do not have memory past about twenty or so years ago. I am a very powerful mage but never really had a good explanation beyond 'talent' as to why. This is the first time I've actually had a potential to get some answers. I admit...there is some apprehension because there are new forces at work here. Ku-Deyu...that is a race or term that is unknown to me. What exactly are the Ku-Deyu, what is the origin of this Mysu, and why does it feel as though it were a storm waiting to consume all in its wake?"
At this point, Adrain's eyes would convey the uptmost sincerity and concern about this subject, that what Deidric was told wasn't typical information he would share.

Deidric tried not to chuckle in response to Adrain’s questions, he really did, but as the very serious headmaster finished his speech Deidric couldn’t help but let out a soft chuckle. “I am sorry, I did not mean that to sound like I am trivializing your concerns. In fact they’re pretty legitimate ones. I can do my best to answer some of your questions, but I want to make something clear, I am a soldier, not a scholar or a mage. The information I give you will probably not fully satisfy you.”
As he finishes speaking Deidric’s eyes once again fall on the Mysu crystal and he looks back up at Adrain. “Would you mind if I took that? With someone of your strength having such a large hunk of Mysu for you to draw on if this conversations strikes a chord and causes you to change is dangerous.” He says though realizing he hadn’t even explained the change yet scratches the back of his head a bit.
“I guess I should start with the most pressing bit before we go any further, we’re Ku Deyu, so we’ve got blood of a deyu, a world dragon, in our veins. This also means that we can and do shift into a more primal draconic state under the right conditions. I don’t know how being a half blood will affect that in your case, but I am something of an expert in the transformation itself.” He explains taking a glove off and showing Adrain as black scales emerge from his skin.
“Once we’ve got this worked out we can sit down and I can start giving you the full explanation…assuming this room is safe to speak in.”

"Sure.." Adrain says, handing the blue crystal over to Deidric, his face neutral. He knew that Deidric wasn't necessarily being an ass, the fact he was a soldier dealing with questions that are probably childlike in his own culture explained quite a bit, but there was much to take in. The Deyu...that was an interesting thing he said. It was but a legend that he wasn't overly familiar with, not having focused on it due to it being associated with the gods and therefore not a part of objective magic curriculum. He watched Deidric show that his skin began to shift into a draconic claw then looks at his own hand, not sure how to go about the process. When asked to have the room secure, he snaps back to attention.
"Oh yes, of course..." Adrain says, holding his hand up as the door closes, and a barrier begins to line the walls forming a soundproof barrier. "But why the secrecy if this is but a normal racial attribute?"
