Ukilit chuckled. He had finally found Noku alone and in a dark quiet room. He was a busy man he would give Noku that. But now it was his time. Centuries of waiting, he finally had a chance to get his throne back, and more importantly finish what he started before he became The Great One. He was lucky Cain screwed up bad enough to be cursed, if it wasn't for the curse bestowed on the Noru blood line this would have been much more difficult that he would have originally wanted. Ukilit took a deep breath and focused on entering Noku's mind, trying to establish a mental connection with him. Noku would hear faint whispers in the back of his mind. If Noku chose to figure what these whispers were saying Ukilit would have his connection. If Noku ignored, Ukilit would have to go to more extreme measures. He had recently overheard that his usurper Altizica had been pushing his own plans in motion. Ukilit couldn't have that. He needed to get the ball rolling as soon as possible or else he was going to be stuck in his semi-powerless state forever. Noku Noru

Noku sat at his desk, reading over a passage his father had wrote in the journal he had left behind. His mind reeling at the paragraph he was stuck on; trying to understand his old man's handwritten scribbled nonsense. He had barely made any sense of this damn book since he picked it up. Cain favoring riddles and word play, being a pain to decipher word for word what everything meant. Plus the added frustration of missing a few of the journals pages meant his search for knowledge would once again come to a end. He would need to find the parchments that were missing before he could fully understand this 'center of nova' his father left behind.
However, While reading the page within his silent study. Noku felt a strange sensation creep up on him. It was faint at first, but the more he tried to ignore the feeling and focus on the word's he was attempting to decipher. The feeling would just continue to grow more intense, until finally the king was beginning to think he was hearing things. A voice? Noku looked up from the book, closed it and placed it down on his desk. He straightened his posture. His golden eyes scanning his office for a moment. " God Damnit, I need more sleep." Noku sighed, feeling his mind playing tricks on him once again. Though the voices had subsided for the time being, but still the king felt restless as though someone was watching him. With a deep breath; Noku lifted his hand to rub the bridge of his nose between his eyes with his index finger and thumb, before leaning back in his chair.

Ukilit gave a sigh of annoyance. Guess he was going to need to use a more direct method. He took a deep breath and summoned his form into the room, any lights near him as he appeared would suddenly blot out. "Noku Noku Noku. What am I going do with you?" Ukilit gave off a mad laugh and began to approach. "Now before we get ahead of ourselves. Let me introduce myself. I am the Great One. But for you my dear puppet. You may call me Ukilit. Or Rey. What ever you prefer." Ukilit would stop about three feet from Noku. He stood at only six feet to make himself look a little less intimidating, he also used his true form for Noku, as he was such an important figure. Ukilit gave off a chuckle as he examined Nokiu, the eye at his neck seemed to focus on the king though. The other eye seemed to scan across the room, looking to see what was there.

Noku looked up the moment the candles went out in his office. He jumped from his seat and stood in front of his chair. Stunned at the fact he was standing in the dark, his hands reaching out on his desk to scramble to find a match and a candle. However, before he could locate a source of light. A voice caught him by surprise. Noku froze in place, his eyes wide in fear as he kept his hands, palms down on the desk. How did someone get in without him noticing?! He didn’t hear the door open, nor had he seen anyone come in all day. Noku felt a lump in his throat, but re-framed to look up when the man spoke his name over and over.
Damn magic users… Always causing trouble.
Noku thought to himself, finally piecing the puzzle that the lights had probably gone out because of this intruder into his study. The King lifted his head slowly, his eyes glaring out into the darkness as he heard someone approach his desk. Finally seeing a outline of the man that entered his office, but no features to go by. Though the King showed no sign of emotions as the figure spoke once more.
“ excuse me…” Noku spoke up, his tone sounding serious as he glared at the man before him. “ I am no one's puppet, especially yours. As to what I prefer to call you; I would say ‘troublemaker’ since you came into my office unannounced or requested… In fact, I rather am curious how you got in here honestly. “ Noku spoke his expression turning into slight disgust at the sight of the eye on his neck. ‘ The hell is this being? ‘ Noku thought to himself, his teeth gritted behind pressed lips.

Ukilit laughed "Fiesty one aren't we? You are my puppet Noku. For you bear the curse. The curse of the Abyss, which I rule." Ukilit laughed once more. "As you might tell. I am not normal. You can't escape darkness Noku. I will always be watching you, for we are one and the same. Kings wrongfully cursed and given....very unhealthy ties to the abyss. Even before the curse your ancestors have had rather problematic encounters with darkness haven't they? Funny how you and your ancestors have somehow remained in power. Especially after the stunt your father pulled."

Melda Delsaran Vanya Melda had been meaning to talk to the King and confess something which she’d been hiding for a long time; she wasn’t particular proud of hiding it, but she’d had her reasons. In the light of her new position, she felt even more obligated to do so. She dressed to impress, as she did, in a ruby red and gold accented gown, the collar folding over her collarbone and dipping down into her chest, sleeves ending at her wrists. There was a golden belt around her waist, and oddly enough pockets, with more golden threaded patterned embroidered on the outside. Her hair was half up half down, the down hard in soft beach waves, while the other half was resting in a fishtail braid at the back of her head. She approached the door to his office carefully, hearing voices. She stopped for a moment to listen, unsure who he was with; she hated eavesdropping, but the guards placed outside claimed he was alone. When she heard what the unknown voice was saying, she opened the door without knocking, not liking the sounds of it all. Excuse me Your Highness. She announced herself, her eyes hard, staring at the figure. What in Mylees name is going on in here?

Noku hadn’t moved the entire time. He watched the strange figure from his desk with a boiling temper that was begun to reach it’s peak. He had called himself the Great One; A title instead of a name to hide behind no doubt. Which unsettled Noku when he begun to speak again. This time his information and taunts had struck a nerve. How did he know about the curse? Furthermore; He taunted him with vague remarks about his family’s history. Plus he had slipped a bit of his own story by saying ‘kings’. Was this man once a king? Was that how he knew his father?
Noku straightened his posture, his eyes narrowed as he turned his head to crack the joints in his neck. He had heard stories of the Abyss from Mysteria, who spoke sedum of the place other than the monsters that reside within. However, he hadn’t expected to meet someone from those stories, that would seem humanoid. Plus, what the Great one said intrigued him, even if there was a hint of fear to speak at first.
“ I never said I could escape darkness; I just said I would never be your puppet…” Noku spoke in a low tone… “ you seem familiar with my family? So you should know how ambitious, resilient, and cunning we Noru’s are. You said we were kings wrongfully cursed? well you may be right… However, King of the Abyss… Darkness does not take hold of me, so it does not rule me. I am king, Just like my father and his father before him… The Noru family has remained in power not by the will or blessing of any Being or God, but by our own will and influences. “ He spoke, his attention darting over to his Office door where he heard the knob turn. The light breaking into the room the moment the door was swung open and female figure stepped into the room. To his surprise it was Melda. Which brought no comfort seeing her here as his eyes went wide. “ Stay where you are!! An alert the Guard. “ Noku shouted, quickly throwing up his arm and holding his hand out in a gesture to ‘stay put’ at the doorway. Fear slowly creeping over him; As he turned his attention back to the figure. Unsure what he would do now that he was interrupted.

Ukilit laughed at his statements and questions. Oh mortals, they never knew when to shut up and just listen did they? "Yes I know personally what you Norus are like. You can really be pains but you have your uses. And good. You believe that you are on that throne by your own will. That's good, even if it isn't true. Let me tell you first hand Noku, your only on that throne and are still alive because the gods still have a use for you. When your use runs out then....well.....you'll be thrown away. Or perhaps even given what some call the "fate worse than death", which you are looking at. Isn't that bad really. B-" Ukilit was cut off by the sound of the door opening. He froze. Then his head began to turn unnaturally, as the sound of tearing can cracking could be heard as he turned the eye on his neck to Melda. "Void's name. Just what I need, an elf. Beatiful beings at times but too troublesome for me. I think it's time we take this comversation to a more....private level my dear Noku." Ukilit suddenly vanished, a dark mist taking his place, quickly dispersing. His voice however, could still be heard by Noku, but it would sound much closer. Almost in his head in fact. "Ah...there we go. No trouble some mortals to screw this up. Can you hear me Noku, don't bother looking for me, what you just saw was a manifestation of my being. I am truly stuck in the Abyss. Now, do me a favor and try to play this cool. We don't want suspicions to be raised now do we? A king talking to an enemy of the gods. An abomination. Now that wouldn't go down well with your subjects would it? Hehehehe."

Melda jumped lightly as Noku's voice boomed the moment she opened the door. She figure she saw looming in the office suddenly dissapeared, before Melda had a chance to alert a guard to capture him. GUARDS! She called anyway, incase the disappearance was simply an illusion. Seconds later three guards burst through the door, armed and ready. Melda stepped further into the room. Your Higness... what's going on. Who was he and where did he go? Melda questioned, while multitasking silently. Using her air magic, she was attemtping to sweep the room, doing a body count even of things she couldn't see. She was hoping she could use the air flow to sense a body that her eyes couldn't detect. Unfortunately, it looked like whoever was in the room, was no longer.
