One would think if they had precious few days to themselves that they would spend it doing something exciting. Yet, Iris would prefer to spend her evening in the library. She had all her other days to watch exciting adventures. Teairs Library was fairly impressive, truth be told. Better than she had seen in most of the continents that she had visited. Some of this knowledge would become lost to the future. It was unfortunate, but there wasn’t much she could do to prevent it.
She sits down at a table with a small stack of books. Most seem to be history. A few about magic, particularly light and dark magic. Opening the first in the stack, she becomes instantly immersed. Light blue hair falls into face. Grey eyes keep focused on the page as she skims through chapters that she finds relevant. Much of it she knows already it seems. She gives a quiet sigh as she closes one after another. Nothing new except for more recent divergences in the story that she thought she knew. Giving up on history, she goes to the books on magic.

The red head hung about the library; she lounged about on top of a book case. Ever since the librarian had gave her permission she had helped herself to perching upon the old bookcases. Today she wore her hair up in a ponytail, her wavy hair still tumbling down to her hips as it was tied up. She wore an over sized male shirt, tucked into dark brown breeches. Her pants were tucked into wool lined boots that laced up to her knees. All and all this was a fairly normal appearance for the scarred face red head. Only differences is on her good side of her face she was now sporting a very large black and purple bruise that bloomed right over her eye.
Aria was fairly relaxed when she heard someone walk up to the bookcase that she was perched upon. Curious she peaked down to the side. She had though she might have dreamed that Muse had showed up. But apparently she didn’t, a great large grin spread across her face as propped her head on her elbow while looking down at the woman.
”Hey…thought I dreamed up that you showed up”

Iris looks up at the familiar face and smiles. “Having prophetic dreams now, Aria?” She hugs her lightly as it wasn’t too often that she got to do that and reunions were always wonderful. “It’s great to see you again.” She then backs off and leans against one of the bookshelves. “I take it you are still healing a bit from what happened at the ball. Out of all the strange things that I’ve seen, I honestly wouldn’t have anticipated running into Noku Noru either.” A bizarre turn of events in their lives for sure, but really they ought to be used to that by now.
“I have a million and one questions for you. So I suppose I’ll say them all now to save on time. How long have you and Rivers been here? How have you two been holding up? Who else is here? And you said you wanted to talk back at the ball?” She was wondering what exactly she had missed in her absence, and it wasn’t like she could ask anyone for answers.

Aria hopped down from the bookcase with a small thump, and allowed the older woman to embrace her. She smiled in greeting and laughed at the idea of prophetic visions.
”I would say no, but that’s not entirely true”
Aria gingerly rubbed her sore eye and shook her head.
”No…I got this from licking a strange woman while she was taking a dip….she didn’t take it well. I wasn’t harmed in the slightest at the ball, well not physically my pride however sure took a hell of a beating.”
Another laugh was elicited; this woman pelted Aria with questions as Aria did with everyone else.
”A couple of weeks, or at least I have. From what I can tell we’re holding up fine, he seems to have already made friends. As for who else? I don’t think you ever met Garrett…or Ilta so you wouldn’t know them. So really that’s all I know that are here at the current moment from our timeline. How long have you been here? And for god sakes woman when are you going to tell Rivers you’re his sister. I dislike keeping this from him, I have to keep enough secrets from him I don’t like adding others”

Iris shakes her head, laughing a little at the source of the bruise. “It’s probably better to ask if you can lick someone first.”
Ilta and Garrett… not people Iris knew, but Iris got the sense she would eventually. Things tended to work out that way. “No, I am afraid I don’t. However, normally, it’s just Rivers and me when this kind of thing happens. And we normally end up in the same place. It was strange to get separated this time around.”
A couple of weeks. She was certainly far behind him this time. That’s never happened before, and hopefully, it wouldn’t again. “I was here only two days before we ran into each other. I went the place where there would be the most commotion since it seemed like it would be the best chances of running into someone I know,” she jokes.
Iris frowns as Aria suggests that she come clean on the matter. “What’s one more? He’d worry too much about being able to fix something that I’ve had plenty of time to come to terms with. I like things the way they are. He lives his life, and I get to see the world and watch his adventures. It’s like a book or a play… a really long one though. Right now is just an intermission. I don’t want to mess things up.” It’s not like she had too much of a life outside following him around and watching his. At this point, living vicariously through him was all she pretty much knew how to do.
"Anyways, so what are your thoughts on this place?" Change of topic. Better for everyone not to dwell on the topic of secrets and family.

Sage hadn't seen the inside of a library in ages more accurately he hadn't seen one since the mark, but then again why would a blind man need a library? He used to love reading and as a kid he would fall a sleep in there back when he could see. He stood on the outside for a few minutes already sure it was too late to turn back he had already walked all the way there. He pushed the door open and took two steps in before sending a pulse of air through out the place. No one would actually notice it much since he made it no larger than a breeze. As the air was sent out Sage could feel every single thing the air brushed up against. Every single thing the air touched would cause vibrations or reflections that his eyes could use to form a detailed picture of everything. It was no different from how bats saw using echo location, but in his case it was far more detailed since he could physically feel and see everything since everything needed to move through the air he could even see faces the only thing he had wrong were colors either than that everything was simple to see as he kept the air moving around the room to see all he needed. His long dark hair was kept in a pony tail that reached his lower back, he wore black pants, black comfortable boots along with a white shirt and ontop of it all was a long dark purple coat that was tied up and reached his ankles. He walked along the library as his violet pupil lacking eyes looked around noticing this place had hardly changed at all. It was hard to notice he was blind since he was able to walk like a perfectly normal person but one look in his eyes would make it obvious his method of seing wouldn't work on words however so he walked over to his favorite isle which was the philosophy isle and picked a book of a familiar size. He could see the book perfectly but he couldn't see the words at all, he heard two females talking in the isle just next to his, he too a walk around the isle and saw them both in great detail. greetings ladies, sorry to be a bother but would any of you mind having a look at this book for me? I need to be sure its a philosophy bookHe had the book in hand as his pupil less eyes saw their every movement. Of course he wouldn't be able to read the book, no he just wanted to sit down and feel the book,he hadn't held one in quite a while and the leathery cover already brought back memories of how fun reading was. He had been told to bring a few servants from time to time but he was too lazy. He hated un needed work, he didn't like doing it or causing it for others. [OOC] he is wearing something similar to this. [OOC]

”But what’s the fun in that? I like to watch them jump.”
A wicked grin played across the girls features. However it was gone when she declined Arias idea about sharing. Aria rubbed the bridge of her nose and shook her head. Rivers had been her friend and ally for years. She disliked the fact that she wasn’t able to at least tell him that he had family close by.
”He has a right to know….even if it does complicate things. Please just think on it….”
Aria was concerned for her long time friend, after all family was important. Muse knew she had Rivers…but shouldn’t Rivers be able to know he had family close by as well? She ran a hand over her face and shook her head.
”Forgive me, for I’m a bit biased with my opinions of families and secrets…….Your situation hits close to home. It is times like these that I admire my Uncles bluntness in dealing with the delicacy of family matters.”
Their conversation was interrupted by a new arrival; she blinked as she looked the man up and down. He seemed similar but then again not so similar….had she seen this man before? …No…she hadn’t seen this one before, but there was something about him she couldn’t put her finger on. When he spoke he asked them to look over a book; a smile graced her face as she took the book to look at the title.
”Yes; it’s a philosophy book; I always enjoyed these; and there’s no quicker way to give yourself a headache.”
Aria looked up at his eyes a bit more….they reminded her of gorge hound eyes. Pupiless; she wondered if he saw the same way they did as well…but he certainly didn’t have as large of ears that a gorge hound had.
”….I am going to be incredibly rude right now and ask you a question. If I don’t it’s as madding as an itch you can’t scratch….can you see?”

When she pointed out that it was a philosophy book he took a slight bow to show his appreciation , her comment worked up a slight chuckle from him. true, they do give you quite a headache from time to time. I like how they are able to make things seem so minuscule. I read one that had solid proof of fact that only gods and thoughts were real but I don't want to bore you with the details. As he was about to move her next statement caused him to raise an eyebrow and stand still.
"I am going to be incredibly rude right now and ask you a question." haha okay, thank you for the heads up he was curious as to what the question was , already he had imagined 10 worst case Scenario questions. When he heard the actual question there was a soft sigh followed by a laugh. That isn't exactly rude , I figure anyone with violet eyes and no pupils would be weird...Yes I am blind but I can see everything going on in every isle in this library. Just not any fine details , for example I can't see much of your face I can only catch a few glimpses of your eyes when you blink nor can I see words on books or insects, I can't see the little things but I can see everything else. For example the two people kissing in the Nova mythology isle not too far from here, right before the gods he let out a slight chuckle and shook his head,I notice your eyes aren't exactly of a normal color either , what happened?

Aria shook her head as smiled; she quite enjoyed philosophy.
”I’m the insane sort that can’t help but give myself headaches, I wouldn’t mind hearing about it. I’d be curious about this solid proof though. What makes the gods real but not their creations? Well not including Zepon but he’s known to do illusions is he not?”
She was glad he didn’t take her question as insulting, it was a personal one for someone you literally just met a few seconds ago. But then again Aria had always been blunt when she had a question she wanted answered. Sometimes tack just wasn’t needed, and why waste time with it when you didn’t have to. His answer however was interesting enough; he did see like a gorge hound…sort of. Only without the freaky magical effect of looking into his eyes.
”Violet eyes are not weird in itself, I know several people with that eye color….Actually I can name at least five…six off the top of my head. That color is fairly common in the Kray and Ku Deyu race. The King advisor even has purple eyes. Well they are a mix of blue to but still, there is purple in there. The lack of pupils….yes that is weird. I don’t think I have met a human without pupils yet though…..so question if I stood very still without blinking…..would I disappear to you?”
Aria raised an eyebrow when he commented on her eye color.
”How on earth can you notice eye color if you can’t see….do colors make sounds? …I never thought my eye color was of the odd sorts. My Da’s eyes are almost honey oak colored….my ma’s blue…mine are just a mix I suppose.”

She really was the odd type, she had been one of the few people that actually was more curious about the existence story. the book used a simple example of a table near an open window. The table was made of wood so naturally one would assume it is a shade of brown as the writer said it looked a similar to a more caramel shade of brown. But as he stood up to look at all the sides of that very same table it was evident that every side of the table seemed different from the other depending on the spectator and if the table was in the dark there would be no color right. So technically the table has no real color unless your able to see it from all possible angles and lighting and the point of view from a color blind man
Same applies to its texture, it looked smooth from where he stood but once looked at under a microscope or with magical vision enhancements he saw rough bumps all over and miniature tears and cracks. So which texture is real? You might say the one after enhancement but it would seem to be proven wrong by stronger enhancements. So the table can have a million textures and colors."Thus it becomes evident that the real table, if there is one, is not the same as what we immediately experience by sight or touch or hearing. The real table, if there is one, is not immediately known to us at all, but must be an inference from what is immediately known. Hence, two very difficult questions at once arise; namely, (1) Is there a real table at all? (2) If so, what sort of object can it be?"
Most of Sage's words were taken directly from the book as to not mess up any information for her, the book went on to more god related topics but the basic example right there could already make a person see that only thoughts would dictate to the body as to how to react and what the table is like. He hadn't had a conversation that long with he person he met a few seconds ago Sorry for going on like that, I'll cut it short there. Although I have no clue what kray and ku deyu are, if you stood still and closed your eyes and stopped breathing , yes you would dissapear. Haha No I cannot hear colors I may be blind but I see an aray of different colors with some help from motion to make certain colors stand out from their bleak counterparts. I wasn't born blind so some optical nerves work at times but I still need wind , movement and vibration to paint out a accurate picture of everything
The way she bluntly asked a bulk amount of different questions was a little funny to him. He wasn't usually that talkative. the king's advisor has purple eyes??...I haven't seen Noku in ages I should pay my half brother a visit. As for your eyes, yes they are a tad different. where I'm from most eyes are red or a shade of yellow of course I can't see the original colors of your eyes but the counterpart that my optic nerves give out aren't similar to the ones I get when looking at the people I'm used to.....You're quite the curious one aren't you he spoke with a calm tone while still thinking.

Iris folds her arm in front of her and shifts her weight onto her left foot. “I’d argue I have as much a right to my secrets as much as he has a right to know. Besides, there isn’t much for him to gain from knowing.” Maybe if so many years hadn’t passed, she’d have felt better about the idea of being honest. However, at this point, she wasn’t sure if she had spent more time as a crow or as a human. With enough time, it’d be like she hardly ever existed in her natural form at all. “The day I find learn that there is some way to reverse this will be the day that I tell him. But I suppose that’s a bit like saying when pigs fly.”
As the man approached her, the first thing Iris notices is his eyes. Clearly blind, but she assumed that he had some manner of magic to help him. Then she looks down at the book. It was indeed a philosophy book. “Yes, but I don’t know the author to tell you if it is good or not.” She looks between the two of them as Aria asks if he was blind, unsure of his reaction to the blunt question. However, he seems to take it well.
She lets the two go back and forth, but is genuinely interested in how the man views the world. Such sight was far different from her own, and she couldn’t get her head around what exactly he might be seeing in front of him. “It must be interesting to see the world in such a way. However, I suppose I can’t be sure even Aria and I see the world in exactly the same manner. It’s rather clever to use wind magic that way.” Her brother was quite good at it these days, but she hadn’t ever seen him use it like that. “You must have very good control. Did you ever study at the Arch or are you self-taught?”
She looks at him curiously when he says that he has no clue what ku deyu and kray are. “Well, Mysteria would be a fine example of a kray. Hmmm… I wonder if violet eyes are representative of same far back kray heritage.” A strong possibility. It would just travel along generations as a recessive trait, occasionally popping up now and again. “It would make some amount of sense.”
She’s a little surprised as he carries on after dropping that’s he’s the king’s half brother. “Sorry, but did you say that you and the king are brothers? I wasn’t aware he had any siblings.” That weren’t dead anyways. “I don’t think I saw you at the ball.” Now, this was intriguing.

When the second woman asked him about his wind abilities he had no problem since she hadn't asked any questions yes I am mostly self taught but this seing technique was taught to me by several blind creatures and monks... I would meditate till my legs got numb he spoke in a slightly displeased tone remembering the boring hours of sitting down. but the monks weren't blind they used it only to make sure they could use the wind to see and feel whatever approached their houses while meditating. he heard her speak about relation to kray, but it was his fault actually since he hadn't told them anything about how he got his eye color.
haha no, I don't have any kray in my family I went blind as a result of biting of more then I could chew, this mage used poison with a spell to render me blind, her next question was quite a reasonable one but she might have misheard him No me and him aren't brothers...were "Half" , brothers he added emphesis to the word half in that sentence, he wasn't human royalty he was vampire royalty and prefered to leave it that way.
I'm a result of a passionate night between the old king and a vampire. That was far before the old king's marriage, I hear the old king was a good man though. I didn't come to the ball becuase I saw no reason to he spoke with a slight shrug

”Well now that is a thought that would give anyone a headache…as for Kray they are native to this planet; Ku Deyu…well they are a bit harder to explain…I don’t know if they’ve shown up yet… and interesting. Well if we ever play a game of hide and seek I know how I will win. This library is awesome for it…especially when the people who are playing with you don’t know that they are playing”
Aria raised an eyebrow at his explanation on how he saw colors, it was an interesting thought. Arias eyes slightly bugged out when he mentioned Noku was his half brother….her timeline certainly didn’t have a second brother in the picture...wait how on earth did that work the Noru seed was impotent unless it was birthed by a goddess…then again maybe the king slept around before the twins were born.
”Older half brother? I’m assuming.”
Aria let out a snort at the thought of the king being a good man…then again he was alive because of her father…and because he was left alive….well things did not end well in there time line. But it answered the question about him being an older Noru.
”Do you and the King have a good relationship?”

The young man seemed to have an interesting story. It wasn’t very often that Iris actually got to meet new people and talk to them. “That’s actually rather impressive to pick up on your own. I had teachers when I was just starting to learn magic.” Her original home was fully of mostly mages, so there was a variety of people to learn from.
“Sorry. Half brothers,” Iris repeats, not meaning to particularly offend her present company. After expressing that sentiment, she wonders how much the two actually liked each other. She could imagine Noku wasn’t fond of much competition for the crown. It would complicate things for the king if Noku had an elder brother somewhere.
Iris has a pretty good poker face when the subject turns to the old king. Best not to ruin the boy’s impression of his father by talking about the destruction of worlds. “You didn’t miss much at the ball. It ended fairly quickly. I never met the old king personally. Did you know him well?”

He couldn't not laugh when she spoke about hide and seek, if somehow they ended up playing that game he was fairly sure he wouldn't be able to conceal himself as well as he could when he was small and could fit through random gaps no one would think of checking. haha I dare you to play hide and seek with me one day,the part like about the game is that they don't specify how you need to hide and how you need to seek. When I was too lazy to seek I used to simply lie and tell people I need help finding a young man who stole from an old lady. Eventually he would have a mob on his tail and I'd just follow the mob, yes I'm the older half brother . He gave a calm smile, before answering her next question about him and Noku Well, we don't quite have much time to talk or bond, I doubt we would in a way...I guess we can stand each other when needed basically which is more than most siblings could.
The other lady had quite a good point , Sage hardly knew the old king that much. well I only know him a little from occasional visits, I wasn't around him much but from what I saw when I was around he was good....I guess. he wasn't sure how he was at all then Sage noticed he hadn't asked for either of their names, he face palmed Terribly sorry about my lack of manners , What may I call you ladies?
