When Iris complained about her homeland not having this festival he grinned. “Well to be fair, neither did mine. I am from the north after all. We don’t worship the divinities in quite the same way up there.” He admitted after they separated. Though as she leaned forward into the kiss he did as well almost as if the act itself were a contest of battle.
When Iris finally leaned back Deidric licked his lips and there was excitement in his eyes. “You are very good at this.” He remarks before leaning in for another round only to be stopped by her concerns for the farmer. Deidric raised an eyebrow at the comment. “Do you really care about that? Let’s be honest, if the farmer did come along we’re probably the best show they’ll have seen in a very long time.” He replies, not a hint of hesitation of modesty in his tone.
“However…” Deidric leans in for one more brief kiss before rising to his feet and taking a step back. “It would be a shame for all of this to be cut short now. I haven’t had a contest this good in quite a long time, not company so pleasant.” As he comments a lizard like tail cover in black scales emerges from behind Deidric and his eyes take on a golden hue.

At least you’d heard of em. We had a completely different set; though these ones are just as nutty. She responded before the kiss began. She liked Dei’s fire; it pushed back as much as she did, neither one wanting to relinquish to the other. Though of course, Iris ended up giving in when she pulled away. She chuckled at his remark, commenting I won’t say I don’t have practice. With a grin.
When he responded to her concerns, her initial response was a cackle of laughter. You’re probably not wrong. Her cheeks were flushed from the grin stuck on her face. She moved to lean into their next kiss, but brief as it was, she pouted slightly, watching him stand. Her eyes widened when he was finished speaking, mouth falling open slightly. Okay, I’m not asking cause I care on a personal level, but you have got to tell me what you are! You’re just full of freaking surprises! She gasped as she scrambled to her feet, eyes darting from his eyes to his tail.

The kiss was good, Deidric found himself wanting to continue, and her slight pout as he pulled away only enticed him more. However, Deidric was not a man of small passion, and his passion for combat had not yet been sated. As she gets to her feet and asks him what he is Deidric simply smiles at her as he raises a now scale covered right fist into a combat position.
“how about we make a bet, beat me and I’ll give you a hint.” Deidric offers with a grin.

Iris arched an eyebrow and scoffed at him Oh what a splendid bet; I’m going up against someone who’s abilities I have no idea about, just to get a hint and what the fuck you might be. How enticing! Iris squealed, a large grin on her face as she rolled her eyes at his position. Dude got right to the point.
Following suit, she cracked her neck and rolled her shoulders, rubbing the back of her head one more time before nodding him forward.

Deidric smiled as Iris got ready to go. "Well aren't all the best bets those with risk?" He laughed as he prepared to spring forward. "Though I suppose it would not be as much fun without another side to the bet..." He seems to think for a moment before coming to a decision.
"How about if I win you put me up at your place for a week? Inns have been getting pretty dull and expensive, and it might be nice to crash with someone who is interesting, in more ways that one." He suggested as he spread his stance readying himself to attack. However, he suddenly seems to freeze and quickly reaches down hopping a bit on one foot to remove his boot and reveal a scale covered foot that seemed to be slowly gaining claws. in a rush he removed the other and set himself again.
"Sorry, I wouldn't want to ruin a good pair of boots, particularly not before the finale."

Iris had to agree; the thrill of such a bet already had her grinning from ear to ear. When he decided to offer up an opposite side if she were to lose, she arched an eyebrow, waiting for him to come up with an idea. Once he found one, she nodded not really needing a moment to think. Adrain crossed her mind, wondering if he’d care, but then shrugged it off because really, who she chose to invite to her room was her business, so long as it didn’t affect work.
Sounds like a bet. Iris stuck out her hand to shake on the bet, making it a deal. Once that was decided on, she watched curiously as he removed his shoes- she wasn’t wearing any, having hooves for feet and all, but she still found it strange. When she saw the scale covered foot with claws that seemed to still be growing, her eyebrows hit her hairline. Bro. Seriously. The fuck are you. She glared, faking exasperation before a smile cracked on her face and she shook her head with a sigh. Finale? Now you have my attention. Iris waggled her eyebrows at him, a smirk on her lips.

“I’m going to really get into the swing of things so not sure when I’ll be coming back up.” He laughed, his voice taking on a husky and smoky quality as he took something blue from his pocket and ate it. “That being said, the rush is half the fun.”
Then he sprinted forward “the other half is the thrill of victory.” He said as he brought one scale covered hand down towards her shoulder and struck out at her hooves with his tail. His eyes changed to a bright gold and his broad smile grew wider as he seemed to give himself over to the thrill of the fight.

Iris chuckled, Glad we’re on the same page then. She confirmed, not thinking to question whatever he decided to eat. And I have to agree with you there… She nodded, waiting for the moment to come.
And there it was, as he sprinted forward at her, the end of his comment causing her to snort. Oh don’t I know it. But that comment would be her last for a few moments, needing to put all her attention on his various limbs now that a tail was in play; and said tail was heading for her hooves now. She attempted to move, but still got hit in one leg, knocking her off balance and sending her towards the ground. Skillfully she landed with a roll, springing back up. She’d avoided the claw before, and knew she couldn’t use her horns again; he’d see it coming. Now she really wish she’d had her sword.
She darted forward at him, swinging a right hook at his face, not having a fancy tail to trip him with. You know- She huffed out, I don’t quite think thats fair. My tail is too cute and fluffy for this bullshit; i can’t use it against you… not here anyways.

Deidric looked up as the hook came swinging for him after Iris avoided his attack. With an almost mad gleam in his eyes he clenched his jaw and threw a strike of his own at center mass deciding to take the hit in exchange for one of his own. That being said he was still surprised by the strength of Iris’s hit which caused him to take several steps back before firming up his stance and grinning again.
This one was strong, strong enough to fight without holding too much back. Strong enough to avoid being devoured.
As soon as he gets his bearings Deidric again charges forward. This time raising his arms in front of himself to block incoming attacks and attempting to barrel right into Iris and possibly to keep going afterwards.

Iris had a mini moment of victory as Deidric stumbled a few steps back, her punch having stunned him slightly. Though the grin he emerged with sent a shiver down her spine. She arched an eyebrow unsure of what his next move would be.
When he came barreling towards her, she didn’t have enough time to move out of his way, and instead lowers her head hoping her horns would take the brunt of the hit, knowing she’d definitely feel it either way. When contact was made, Iris stumbled back, falling on her ass with a thud, blinking a bit. She needed to stop doing that. She jumped back up, rolling to the side out of his path just in case. With her horns a bit tingly, her hair tabled everywhere and her head a wee bit dizzy, her next move wasn’t exactly calculated, but she went for it anyway, charging at the handsomely scale covered man with her elbow aiming for his gut, but when she got close enough she ducked down, swinging a leg out to knock him off his feet. What, no witty come back? Can’t multitask Scale Boy? For shame… that can be oh so useful…

Deidric continued to barrel forward after Iris was knocked down and he quickly righted himself as she got to her feet and charged at him. Letting out an earth shaking below that sounded more like a roar than a yell a pair of black dragon wings emerged from his back and flapped as he used them to leap over Iris's kick and attempted to grab her by the horns and throw her.
A palpable battle lust seemed to bleed off the man as he obviously enjoyed himself.

Iris’s own witty comment was short lived as she realized her leg never came in contact with him as a loud roar was right above her ears. She glanced up in time to see the wings right before he grabbed her by the horns and tossed her to the side. For fuck sakes! WhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyYYYYYYYYYY DO PEOPLE KEEP DOING THAT TODAY? Iris screamed after landing, her head now utterly pounding in pain. She sat up, staring at him with the wings and tail. Dude was essentially a dragon at this point. Iris grumbled more profanities as she’s stood up, glaring at him with a burning emotion, though she was so engulfed by it she didn’t know if it was rage or lust, though his own emotion was rolling off him in waves.
She cracked her neck again, needing it, knowing that one more grab by the horns and she may start bleeding into her hair. She barrelled towards him again, aiming for his face with her right fist again, the left quick to follow for his gut. Her yellow eyes stared up at his when they were close enough, the thrill of the fight clear as day.

Deidric did not wait for Iris to right herself so by the time she began charging at him the dark hulking form had already covered most of the distance. He blocked the strike coming towards his face though he was too lost in the fight to react to the fist that drove into his stomach causing him to slump forward. Though he was still on his feet and he reached forward attempting to grab her by the biceps and once again force her to the ground.
His tail whipped around attempting to destabilize her footing as he did this to try and make it easier.

She was to slow for him. Iris was getting more and more frustrated as this match went on. He was too much for her and she was realizing it more and more with every passing second. Whatever he was, it was stronger than she could handle. He dodged the blow aiming for his head, but slumped over as she hit his abdomen, though it didnt last more than a second as he gripped onto her arms, pushing her down to the ground, his tail coming around as a backup attack, trying to trip her.
Deciding she was going down either way, Iris brought one knee up to hit his abdomen again before falling flat on her back, her other foot swinging up to trip him as she went down.

Deidric’s grip loosened as Iris’s knee drove into his abdomen. This caused him to topple over along with her as she fell. His grip caused him to fall partially on top of her and his eyes suddenly seemed to clear and widen as he scrambled to turn away from her, hand cover his mouth as he turned away just before the coughing caused him to create a scotched patch of ground where he’d turned away to.
Though with his wits returning he had the clarity of mind to make one move before Iris would be able to rise. He laid backwards causing his not insubstantial full weight to fall across her.
“I hope whoever owns this land doesn’t see the scorches…” he groans.
