It had been a day after aqua arrived at the arch of ages. She found herself with some free time and walked around the village looking at the various wares and magical items her and Nyx had passed the day before. Her eyes were positively glowing, She wanted to walk up to the vendors and asked them what these various items could do, but she was afraid if that if the vendor began to talk to her about subjects in nova she did not understand, they would learn of her "Fated" status.
" This is nothing like I've ever seen at home.... then again i didn't even see very much of home did i?" She whispered to herself, as she tried to recall what little memories of her homeland she still had left.
She continued to walk aimlessly not paying attention to anyone around her.

As Aqua walked she would eventually find a man walking around slightly confused and holding what appeared to be a crudely drawn map. "Hmmm, where am I?" He mumbled to himself as he looked around. The man was very large, over 6'5" with long blonde shoulder length hair and chiseled features. "Getting here was easier when I was following..." He mumbled to himself as he'd managed to find the Arch by tracking Adrain's scent.
There was a large sword and travel sack strapped across the man’s back and as he looked around his eyes eventually fell upon Aqua. “Excuse me!” He called as he seemed to focus in on her and take several large strides over. “I apologize for the inconvenience, but I am lost and the wards have gotten me turned around. Do you know where the inn is?” He asked, a look of genuine puzzlement on his face.

As she was observing what seemed to be strange elixirs a vendor was selling. "Excuse me!" she heard from a short distance away. She turned her head and saw a large man coming in her direction. "oh no..." she whispered to herself quietly. As he got closer and began to ask her where the location of the inn was she began to blush. " He is really handsome... oh and he seems to be a warrior!" She peeked at his sword he had with him, she thought to herself. She then began to blush because she realized she was staring at the man. She panicked and looked around and then she looked down as she spoke to him, she had just learned that she was just as lost as the man.
"im sorry, im new to this village and i was wandering around the marketplace and now i seem to be lost as well.." Suddenly her face lit up. "I have an idea, just give me a moment." She paused for a moment and closed her eyes to focus. "Summon: Wings!" Her pendant flashed blue for a moment. The tattoo on her black lit up, water sprouted from her back and formed a pair of wings. "Stay here for one moment, ill be right back." She flew up quickly enough to for a strong and quick breeze to be created, as she went up to gain an aerial view of the village and spotted what she thought to be an inn.
"Its over by that way" she pointed in the general direction of the inn, "If you'd like i could take you there." As those words left her mouth she thought of what would nyx say about this situation. " Well..she would think this is dangerou- Wait why do i care..she is not my mother and i am not a child, I can handle myself. besides i have my lance hidden with me and he does not seem to be a mage.. Why would he be here then? ill keep my wits about me."
As she began to float down, Her wings began to fizzle. she looked back and began to panic "What?!" soon after, her wings vanished and she began to fall.

Deidric watched curiously as the woman stared at him for a moment before seeming to snap out of something. He supposed she was not used to foreigners. Though as the scent of blood rising to the cheeks and her reddening cheeks occurred to him he almost found himself grinning. The hatchling has a type huh? He mused to himself, before scolding the thought. There were actually several other long lived races in the area and he was not even 50 yet, most of them would consider him the hatchling.
When the girl admitted she was lost he gives her a broad smile and replies. “Ahh~ if you are new as well I apologize for putting you on the spot. I am from the distant north and everything here is quite new to me. I just assumed everyone else already knew their way around.” He admitted, rubbing his nose in embarrassment.
Their equally lost situation did not seem to trouble the girl much as she suddenly casted a spell to lift off and take a look around “No do-” however before he could finish his statement she had already taken off, however as she began to come down to land the spell that gave her wings would suddenly become disrupted as it came into contact with his Mysu.
Reacting quickly Deidric reached out to catch the girl not knowing if she would be able to land cleanly or not. “I am sorry, I should have warned you, magic is not always reliable around me.” He admitted.

As she fell she closed her eyes and began to scream as she fell. When she realized that she never hit the ground, she opened her eyes to see that the strange man caught her. as he explained himself, her face turned bright red. "C-could you put me down now" she said quietly. "People are beginning to stare" She saw as passerby began to gather to see the spectacle she had caused.
Once the man let her down, she fixed her dress by dusting off some of the dirt he wings had kicked up and recomposed herself. "Anyways as i was saying, the inn is over this way if you'd like to follow me id show you since it would be easier then giving directions."
"What kind of magic was strong enough to disable my own? i must admit this world is toying with me..Maybe i can learn how to do it if he is willing to teach me.."

As he catches her Deidric notes that his blue haired friend was not in fact all that heavy though he supposed she did not look like the was exactly bulging with warrior muscle either so he couldn’t be that surprised.
As he set her down he perked up when she mentioned that she had found the way to the inn, the idea of getting some food and putting down his bag was very appealing. “Well if you know the way I will be more than happy to follow along, I’ve spent the last several hours basically spinning in circles.” He admits as he begins to follow after her.
“So if you are not from around here where are you from?” He asks curiously, making conversation as they walked along towards the inn.

She began to lead the handsome stranger to the inn as she walked side by side with him. When the stranger asked where she was from she panicked for a moment "Uh.. well i came here to study magic at the arch of ages. I came here to live after my father passed away and my only family left here is my half sister miss Nyx Sona North" She lied flawlessly.
"Oh by the way I forgot to give you my name." She stopped for a moment " I'm Aqua Aingeru, its a pleasure to meet you Mr...?" she say while holding her dress and bowing for a moment. She realized what she had done and began to apologize "Sorry while growing up, my father and mother made me take classes on etiquette and its become a force of habit."
After a brief pause to allow him to hear what she had told him, "OK now my turn, What was that spell you used that caused my wings to disappear? in my home town we never saw magic like that."

As the blue haired girl, Aqua? Explained that she had come here to study magic Deidric nodded. “Ahh~ I was under the impression that this was a school for magic, I suppose it makes sense why there is so much of the stuff around at least.” He admits as they continue to walk along.
As the girl bows he smiles and pausing for a moment gives her a full courtly bow. “This may be surprising given my manner, but I am actually of quite good birth in my country, though I am someone of a prodigal son, I have a tendency to travel.” He admitted with a grin. “Oh right, I have not introduced myself yet. My name is Deidric Talren, if it a pleasure to meet you Lady Aingeru.” He greets before getting to his feet and continuing on.
“Well aside from being kinda a crappy noble, I’m actually also dross at magic.” He admits as they continue to trundle along. “What happened to you spell wasn’t really any spell I casted, it was more like a unique constitution of mine.”
As they arrive at the inn he gesture towards it and shrugs asking if she wants to come along or not.

"Oh a noble? I see im in good hands while you are around then." She continued to walk, wondering what the social ranking system was in this world and if it differed from her home world's. " What do you mean there is so much of it here? Is this village different from other villages around nova? I have left the arch yet since I've arrived."
When he mentioned travel, her eyes lit up like fireworks. "You're a traveler?! You NEED to tell me your stories! what is it like out there? What do the people wear?!" She began to ramble on asking more questions then the man could answer. When she realized her emotion had the best of her, she gathered her composure. "Sorry" she said with a small smile "its just before i arrived at the arch, i was forbidden from leaving my home village by my father." she said frowning a little bit. "He said the world was no place for a girl like me" She realized that she was beginning to bring down the mood and smiled once more "But enough about that!"
"Well Deidric I assure you the pleasure is all mine, im glad we met now you can tell me all about your travels and this "Unique constitution"you have, I would love to learn more if you wouldn't mind"
Once they arrived at the inn and Deidric gestured and shrugged asking if aqua would like to come inside, she hesitated for only a brief moment when she suddenly began to hear a voice "What are you doing..?" She looked around for a moment confused, it seemed only she could hear the voice. She shrugged it off and walk inside with her hands behind her back, clutching her lance that was in it's pocket sized state. "That was very strange, i must keep my wits about me, something may not be right."

Deidric let out a bark of laughter in response to Aqua’s comment about being in good hands as he was a noble. “Hahahaha, no, if anything me being a noble should say nothing about my character. Nobles are just as bad as any other people, worse sometimes, the main difference is we have the means to pretend to be better. Though I’m a crappy noble anyways.” Deidric admits.
As Aqua asks him to clarify what he means regarding to magic Deidric gestures around. “There’s a lot of magic and manna here. Way more than in my homeland in the north.” He admits as they continue to walk. He Deidric was surprised by this girl’s enthusiasm. Most of the mages he had met tended towards the aloof so seeing so much genuine curiosity about the world was a nice change. “Well I can certainly tell you a few stories, but I am no bard, if you really want to hear a tale I suggest the taverns.”
“Thought to answer your question, fashion changes a lot depending where you are. It’s a lot colder in the north so furs and heavy coats are a lot more common, wool is used pretty often and cloths that have pelts of rare creatures are highly prized.” He admits, it wasn’t quite the Ku-deyu fashion, but some of the other northern people dressed like that.
Though as the discussion moved towards his “unique constitution” he seemed to hesitate, “well I will be happy to share some stories if you are okay with my tales, but I cannot tell you a whole lot about how I mess up manna.”
Deidric paused again when Aqua began to look around and he visibly tensed when she closed her hand tighter around the pocket sized lance. Deidric could not see the weapon, but he’d been in more than enough fights to notice the telltale signs of readying for combat. Though as the moment passed he walks inside to find a tavern on the base level, “Now this is how you do accommodations, minimize the distance between the beer and one’s bed.” He laughed as they entered.
“Well it is a bit early, but can I interest you in some beer or wine?” Deidric asked curiously.

When she heard that he only had a few tales "Well I can handle the music and song if your willing to tell me some words." She said shyly. "I'm not a bard per say but music and dance are some of my talents" she mentioned as she pulled out her lyre. When Deidric finished making the joke of the tavern, she giggled
"Wine sounds lovely." She smiled. As she entered the Inn she scanned the area, taking mental notes of her surroundings. Nothing seemed off to her so she ignored the voice she heard earlier and brushed it off as something her mind made up.
As she waited for Deidric to bring the wine to her and find a table for the two of them, she asked "So what is it that brings you to the arch if you dont mind me asking?" She asked curiously but not trying to be rude.

Deidric laughed as she mentioned she could handle the music. “Nah, there’s no need for music to tellin a story, plenty of bards can do it better. I am just letting you know mine are going to be a bit less fun. However, if you are interested in stories of the North I can tell you a few in time.” He admits as he sets down their wine and he takes a sip…it was only mediocre.
“Well I came to the arch to try and locate and acquaintance of mine. I managed to meet with him, but the visit was less exciting than I’d hoped.” He admitted taking another sip of the wine, if only the water here weren’t so infernally bad. He missed the glacier water of his homeland.
“What about you? Lured by promises of magic and power?” He asked curiously, this girl didn’t seem like the type, but he’d been wrong before.

"Pffftt im sure i know songs you've never heard before" She realized what she had said and immediately changed the subject because it could get away her status. "Oh really? I'm sorry to hear that at the very least you got a new friend here now." she said giving him a warm smile. She began to think about his "unique constitution" once more, her curiosity getting the best of her.
" What if he could break the curse placed on me? I mean its not more then a spell and he was able to force my wings to retreat...Ugh what to do.."
When asked about her reason for being at the arch she panicked for a moment, she hadn't though about that part of her backstory. " Well yes that was part of the idea but, there is another reason im here" she dotted off for a moment " my sister told be id be able to come here and learn but id like to speak with you in private about the other reason about why I am here. If you are curious enough, i feel like you may be able to help with it." She leaned in forward lowering her voice to not draw attention as she asked him to go somewhere private she swished around the wine in her cup watching it.

As Aqua informed him that she knew songs he didn’t Deidric couldn’t help but burst out into laughter. The kid was being all insistent, it had a certain charm. “Well perhaps you can sing them for me at some point, perhaps I’ll even give try to sing “The Dragon’s Lusty Widow” at some point.” He chucked, wondering how someone who seemed so proper would respond to acts that occurred of the dragon’s horde.
As she apologized about his meeting he waved a hand. “Nah, it’s not a big deal, people change, sometime things don’t go the way you expect. It’s all part of life, besides it’s not like I really have anywhere better to be right now.” He admitted as he took a sip of the wine.
When Aqua leaned forward and asked to tell him a secret in private he arched an eyebrow at her. “Listen kid, I’m going to be up front with you here. I am not sure if that is actually a request to talk in private or if you are making inviting me to a different kind of private chat.” He admitted. Aqua was a cute kid but he had some trouble telling what of her words were naive or actually meant how they sounded.
“If you actually want to talk in private I can get a room and we can talk there. If this is about something else though…” he wasn’t really sure how to follow that without sounding lewd or insulting so he just let if hang there.

She giggled at his joke even if she didn't understand it completely, But she knew he was trying to make her laugh so she would indulge him, i mean after all his big grin did make her smile,it was contagious, it reminded her of something but she couldn't remember of what.
However that is when the conversation began to take a huge nosedive, she realized now what her words had sounded like and began to turn bright red. "I-I-I didn't mean to suggest doing that- I mean its not that your not handsome its just- Wait a second did you call me kid? Ill have-e you know-w" she looked down and her face was bright red. "I haven't even had a boyfriend yet... and i dont think anyone would want me the way i am now.." she said quietly. "Im sorry if I lead you on. I shouldn't have even bothered you with something like this, After all we just met and if the Headmaster Adrain couldn't fix it I don't think anyone else can.." She sighed
