A Long Way From Bane (Open)

Kail after getting the letters from Nyx about her conserns as well as Red's comment. He wanted to see and hear what was going on and meet the two new fated that she met. He rented a decent horse to ride over to the arch or at least the town around it. The blond was wearing his mage like clothes since he did not want to cause problems with the people around him. Although the blond was armed with several weapons. None the less though the blond sent a message to Nyx at the Arch to see if he could be allowed in. Since he was not a student or anything. Over one of his shoulders was one of his backbacks that he came into this world with. In it though it had several items in it. And one of these items was a toned down version of his artifical limb or at least its blue prints.  But none the less though he was either waiting for a messanger or Nyx to show up. Kail would be waiting at a tavern for some food and some light drinks to pass the time until something happened.

Nyx had gotten Kail's letter and was on her way to meet him, before that she had stopped and picked up @ikuto123 since she was involved in the conversation as well. That day she had worn her outfit that she had fated over in and over top instead of her long white coat she wore the cloak of the Instructors of the Arch of Ages. Her hair was done up in a high ponytail with a dark red ribbon tieing it off. She wore some jewellery one was the ring of silence that was given to her along with the locket necklace and the matching bracelet her family had given her to remember them by. Since this was official business she carried her staff in her left hand and fanned herself with one of her tessen with there right the other half of the pair was tied to her waist.



As Aqua and her walked into the tavern her eyes quickly scanned the area landing upon Kail and ushered Aqua to the table. Taking a seat across from Kail she flashed a small smile at him. "Good to see you again Kail even if our meeting is under unfavourable conditions. This is Aqua, my sister." She said since that was the story they were sticking to in this world even if they were not blood-related not too many people will question. "Aqua this is Kail a dear friend of mine." Placing her hand on the table she sighed as she allowed her eyes to scan the area checking to see if anyone was listening to they conversation not that she expected them to remain in the tavern.

While on her way with Nyx to the Rendezvous point, Aqua wondered what kind of person it was that they were meeting. She decided to keep her lance and lyre with her today but to keep them both out of sight by keeping it retracted in its much smaller form on her back as to avoid drawing attention to herself.

Once they arrived at the tavern, Aqua scanned around taking note of the environment they were in. "So this is a Tavern? I've never been in one before.. seems like people are having a good time." She said to herself quietly. Once Nyx had ushered Aqua to a table closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath. Once nyx introduced her "sister", Aqua grabbed the side of her own dress with one hand and curtsied for a moment out of respect for the stranger. "Its a pleasure to meet you Kail, my name is Aqua Aingeru but please just call me aqua or lady Aqua, Whichever you prefer." she paused to resume her normal stance once again. she observed this kail character for a moment. She began to form an opinion of him before he even spoke 'He seems to be a mage, around my age, But something is off about him.. i cant put my finger on it...oh well im sure it is nothing bad if nyx trust's this man ill just stay quiet and observe for now..'

Kail then saw Nyx walk in with a very pretty blue haired girl about there age.  And came over to his table and gave a nod to Nyx as she sat down with her friend. He raised a slight eyebrow, with the introduction of Aqua as Nyx's sister.  Although after seeing and using vauge code words and such from when talking to Aria. Perhaps it was best for something at the Arch of Ages since it was far from bane. "Yes well but it allows me to get outside for a bit. I'm always a bit rapped up in my tinkering" he said to Nyx and then turned to Aqua. Much like her name, she was like water. Very calm and serine from her eyes and the way she moved. But at the same time, he could tell she could become a very devisating torrent if angered or when she needed to be. He had to chuckle lightly at Aqua at her own introduction and what to call her by. "Very well Lady Aqua. I guess I should give you my full name though. I'm Killian Lancaster, a Jack of All Trades if you will as the best example I can give to you" he said and then would get into more. But took a casual sip of his drink and set his glass back down on the table.

"Feel free to order whatever you like. Its on me for this" he said and then got a bit more serious look on his face. "Anyway......I am the one that first greeted Nyx here when she came here. Now it was not the best time for either of us. I've been here for two years now, and I have seen a lot of things. As well as kin like us coming and going. But lately a lot of the newer people like you and a few others have been coming in more roughed up. Which has concerned me a bit after Nyx contacted me. Since now its truely my job to look out for us. Since the being that does, is giving us the damn finger" he hoped that Nyx and Aqua could understand what he was trying to say in a few parts. "So whats your story Lady Aqua? I have told a bit of mine" he said to the blue haired woman.

“Aqua we have work on you not voicing every little thing that a commoner would have experiences. Though I guess your sheltered life can be blame for you not having seen much of the world.” She responded upon hearing Aqua since she was right not to the girl when she spoke. Nyx swore that it would take Aqua almost dying before she stop acting like a princess with the curtsying each time she meets someone new and her wanting to be referred to by Lady Aqua. For now since they were in public she wasn’t hit the blue haired female she would wait till they got back home to try once again to set the female straight.



If she was being honest she wasn’t that hungry nor was she need of a drink but given the conversation they would be undertaking she knew that a drink would be in order later. Flagging down the waitress she recognizes the female as one of her students in her beginner’s magic class. Deciding to not be too hard on the girl she just ordered a simple glass of sweet wine. Once the drink been placed on the table she smiled at the female and told her she will see her in class next week. Before Kail decided to jump straight into the reason of them being there she raised to her to signal for wait a moment. Looking down at the ring she twisted it around her finger twice clockwise and then once counter-clockwise as soon as she was done a bubble of 10ft appearing around them before disappearing almost like an inviable barrier.



“Okay now you can speak. I just wanted to make sure that one would eavesdrop on our conversation.” She said as she folded her fingers around the glass of red wine, as her index finger trace the edge of the glass.

"I'll have some sweet wine as well please." She asked of the woman, once the wine was brought she thanked her and stared at the wine for a moment with a puzzled look on her face before taking a small sip. After she drank some of the wine she smiled "Its nice.. thank you Killian"

Once Nyx set up her barrier of sorts and was given the all clear to speak, she began.

"Well my own story is a bit of a tricky situation to discuss.. before I arrived here a curse was placed on me, locking away some memories of my home but ill try to provide as many details as I can." She paused and placed her wine on the table for a moment. she looked at the blonde for a moment before averting her eyes into her reflection of the wine with a sad look on her face. " The day I was brought to this world was just like a regular one, I was spending my time in the library studying various subjects. After studying, and studied earth culture like i usually would, it was a common practice in my world to observe other worlds and assist those that required our help in secret. but that is besides the point." She paused and drank some more of her wine and put it back on the table "It wasn't until night time that things began to take a turn for the worst, I had gone up to the highest floor the castle to observe a festival that was being currently celebrated. I cant remember what was being celebrated but i remember the feeling of wanting to be involved."

Tears began to form from her eyes before she quickly brushed them away negatively of her. "A hooded Figure appeared behind me and whispered into my ear "This should have been mine" once i turned around he began to attack me with dark magic, powerful magic at that. He managed to destroy the balcony I stood on and I began to fall, i managed to use my wings to somewhat break my fall but i was still severely wounded."  She paused for a moment to allow Nyx and Killian to absorb what she had said before continuing. "It was then i saw a bright light appear in the center of the garden maze and began to heads towards it hoping it was someone who was trying to help me. the maze was easy to navigate since i spent a lot of my youth playing in it. but when i arrived at the center I saw nothing but a portal and that same hodded figure chasing after me slowly, as if it was playing a game. I then decided anywhere was better then where i currently was and decided to go into the portal. When I awoke next, i was at the Altar."


"if you wanted a description of the hooded figure i only remember few details, he was tall around 5'10 and blue eyes, he used the shadows to cover the majority of his face but thats all the detail i can remember..."

Kail had given a nod to Nyx and forgot about being vauge himself and wanted to mildly curse himself. But none the less once they were settled again. He listened to Aqua and her tale and gave the blue haired woman his direct attention and was silent until the end. His eyebrows frowned though near the end. "I see.......it must be hard to deal with a something like that. As well as dealing with a fall from grace, since it seems that you were of former nobility. And I will keep a look out for someone of that discription just in case. The reason I asked of your situation or your story. Awhile back a soldier from my universe came in very baddly wounded from a recorded war. Me and Nyx are trying to figure out whats going on with why these portals bringing in people that are wounded. Either there saving you from a grim fate or something else" he said going on a serious note and then taking a sip of his drink. Then setting it back down and did not want to end it on a grim note.

"Aside from that I just wanted to personally meet you. Since I feel responsible on making sure you guys are doing ok. Since it was a rough time for me when I was here for my first year. Dealing with being chased and hunted down like a animal. Fighting off legions of zombies and dealing with a wicked goddess that wants you dead. Hopefully you will not have to deal with what we had to go through" he said to Aqua trying to give a more positive look to things. He then turned to Nyx "Normally I would not want to have anyone else on this, thats from this world. But neither of us are master mages.....So I might need to talk to the guy thats in charge. Could you arrange something for that Nyx" he said since he was not from this place at all. So they might have shooed him away or something like that.

She stared at her wine glass wondering what to say now that she was at a loss for words. "Yes the situation has been quite difficult and sadly im unsure of why and for what purpose I was brought here."

"A more grim fate? " she began to think to herself "Si lo que killian dijo era verdad y la entidad responsable de mi ser estaba tratando de salvarme ... ¿Cuál era exactamente este sombrío destino que previó?" ("if what killian said was true and the entity responsible for me being was trying to save me..What exactly was this grim fate that it foresaw?)" once again her face frowned as she was lost in thought.


She realized that she was making a face that would rouse suspicion in the two so she quickly changed her expression and tried to carry on the conversation. "Well regardless of what brought me here ill try to help as much i as can in your efforts, so please don't worry about me, Miss Nyx has done a wonderful job of helping me adjust."

"Now if only i can create or buy all the instruments i had back home I think ill be just fine, im sure it will take some time but I believe i can do it." She smiled brightly to hide the grief and confusion that was eating her up inside.

Nyx listen to Kail and Aqua talk as she took sips of her wine nodding her head now and again since she knew most of this story already. When the conversation turn back to her she thought for a moment, she wasn’t sure if Adrain would be able to help since he doesn’t want other to think that he was favoring of the fated but since it was dealing with magic and could be considered dangerous if something was happening to the fated portal then it was a matter of the Arch. “I can get an arranged Kail-kun but not promises on if we could get this help with this. We might be on our own.” She said honestly since she didn’t want to give him any false hope on them getting extra help on this.
