Setting: Hidden lake near the arch
It was the day after aqua had arrived the arch,she had found herself with some free time, she wanted to go visit the market later but she decided she would relax before that trip by practicing her music Aqua was sitting on top of a rock covered in moss from the forest while playing her lyre.
She could be heard playing this song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UISATM1HYsg). As she played she would close her eyes, her pendant is glowing a soft blue while floating. A she plays the song, bubbles of water come from the lake and begin to float around her in a circular motion. "I had no idea my pendant could do this.." as she continued to practice this song not paying attention to the fact she had drawn in some small harmless forest creatures.

Melda Delsaran Vanya Melda had always enjoyed a quiet walk now and again, and spending more time at the Arch as she was, she had decided to venture outside the building some and had come across a small secluded lake not to far into the forest behind the building itself. She hadn’t visited it in about a week or so- work being busy as it was. So now that she had some free time, thats where she was headed. She was dressed down - as she did when she was teaching - in a blue and gray ensemble, like so. Her silver hair was pinned to the back of her head in a rose shipped bun, small curls escaping to frame her face. As she go closer she began hearing music, and it wasn’t long until the lake came into view, a woman sitting on a rock accompanied by it. Melda watched silently as the womans pendant began to float, the water floating up in bubbles as well- like her music was causing it. She stopped and mumbled something to herself that Melda hadn’t heard, before continuing. One thing was sure; this woman was incredibly unaware of her surroundings. Melda arched and eyebrow and lifted a hand, clenching it to a fist. The water bubbles floating around aqua turned to ice, staying in the air a few seconds longer before falling to the ground and shattering- Melda was sure none hit the woman. Such a reckless use of magic. Melda scolded from where she stood, not at all hidden to Aqua’s left, about 15ft away. Her face was stern, eyebrows pinched and mouth frowning. Her blue/purple eyes seemed icy, not at all pleased with what she’d come across. The King was still scared of magic- for someone to be so freely using it in public without fear of being caught.. it was strange. Of course, many people used magic more and more these days, and weren’t hiding it especially at the Arch- but Melda had the feeling this particular girl didn’t know what to look out for, whereas regular commoners did. So even when they were using magic, they knew to be aware of who may or may not see them.

When Aqua heard something crash she opened her eyes and was startled and she jumped off the rock. she had a flash back and began to cast a new spell. "Summon: Chains!" before landing on the floor, the chains would surround and hold the stranger in place "Who are you?!" after finishing that sentence, aqua would pull out her spear in mini size, as she spins the spear it would turn into its full size. When Aqua would face the stranger she would see that her eyes were red and could sense dark magic if they are able to sense magic

Melda gasped in alarm as the woman retaliated horribly. Didn’t she know who she was attacking??? As she cast out her chains, Melda quickly realized what they were made out of, and dispelled them not even seconds has they made contact with her. As the woman attempted to prepare herself, Melda shot a hand up, the water from the lake rising into one large tidal wave, hovering just barely over Aqua’s person. Try that again. I dare you. Melda was seething. How dare she react that way to a teacher! Let alone to a Duchess!
Of course there was the chance that this woman had no idea to whom she was attempting to attack, and Melda had startled her- but regardless. Who am I? Child, you are not the one who should be asking questions. Melda narrowed her eyes. If Aqua tried anything with her spear, Melda would send the wave down on her, knocking her on the ground. If she didn’t move, the wave would remain where it was. I am Duchess Vanya, a professor at the Arch. Which you should know, considering you’re so relaxed outside the Arch. Now Who are you. Melda kept her hand in the air- the only thing keeping the wave from taking Aqua out.

"Who am i?" She said slowly. After Melda finished speaking, aqua dropped the spear and her eyes turned back into their regular shade of blue. She placed both hands to cover her mouth in shock after realizing she had done something wrong. "Please forgive me, something came over me I did not mean to cause you any harm, I was just startled that someone came to attack." She said curtsying towards the beautiful duchess "I am Aqua Aingeru, Miss Nyx's younger sister." She she picked up the lance as it returned to its pocket sized version.
"I-I only became a student yesterday under Headmaster Adrain's permission so please forgive me for not knowing who you are." It was only after she finished spoking that she had seen a shadow behind her, As she turned around she stared in absolute awe of the tidal wave behind her. "Wow...You can use water magic as well?" Dropping her guard as she had relaxed learning of Melda's status

Melda watched cautiously as the womans eyes seemed to alter, processing Melda's words. As the woman brought her hands up to her mouth and began looking much more aware of their situation, Melda began to wonder if it had entire been her actions in the first place. As she began apologizing, Melda held her ground, not removing the wave yet. When the introduction came around, Melda let out a low sigh and released the wave back into its lake. Oh of coooourse you're Nyx's sister. Melda began, stopping a moment later. That didn't add up... Nyx was fated. ... The likliehood of that story being true is very slim... I'm fully aware that Miss Nyx is not from this world- the chance of her sister being Fated here as well... its nearly impossible. So I will ask one more time. Who are you? Melda spoke sternly.
When Aqua went on to say that Adrian had admitted her, Melda felt a little less concerned. Adrain would have known if Aqua was truly a threat. Yes- I'm fluent with water, air and ice magics.

Aqua turned away from the wave to face the duchess once more. "If that is true then im sorry I tried to deceive you, Miss Nyx told me that many people in this world don't take kindly to the fated here so she told me to say i am her younger sister as a safety precaution."
She did a curtsy where she grabbed the left side of her dressed and raised it up. "Allow me to reintroduce myself one more then, I am Aqua Aingeru, the angelic princess of my home world of Haven." When the woman informed her of the type of magic she possessed her eyes lit up.
" Ah! I use Light and water magic as you can most likely see, however im not very familiar with Ice magic, the only thing i can do as of right now with ice is move it around, but i have a harder time doing so then with water. I used to be much more proficient with my magic but something stripped me of it when i came to this world."

Melda sighed. Yes... of course. That was smart of her and she's not wrong. Be careful with that information. Melda took in a deep breath, bringing a hand up to press against her neck with another sigh. As the woman introduced herself once more, as Aqua, Melda gave a small apologetic smile .
Its a pleasure Miss Aingeru. As I mentioned, I am also a professor at the Arch, so please refer to me as Professor Vanya, or Lady Vanya. Melda smiled more when Aqua explained her magic. Well, perhaps some day we can work together on that. Melda offered.

"Wait..." She said to herself quietly thinking for a moment "Ah! forgive me I seem to recall now, right after i had showed him my magic headmaster Adrain recommended that you teach me in order to hone my skills one on one." She said apologetically for her slip in memory, it seemed to be a common thing nowadays.
"If you aren't busy, maybe we can begin a little practice right now? I don't really have much to do until im given my schedule for class and im excited to regain the strength i once had, i know it will take time but it takes effort from me as well." she told Melda with excitement and determination burning in the young angel's eyes.

Melda arched an eyebrow. Adrain hadn't said anything to her about this... but then again, he wasn't sleeping the best these days; he'd probably completely forgotten. Melda sighed. Well, I'm not available for the next week or so; but I'll send a notice to you once I have some time set aside for you. When Aqua went on to ask if she was free at the moment, Melda opened her mouth to decline, but how could she? She was in the middle of a walk in the forest- it was pretty clear she wasn't exactly swamped at that moment in time.
After a moment of thought, she nodded. Fine. We can start with you showing me everything you know and are capable of doing. Melda crossed her arms and moved to lean against a tree.

As the duchess had leaned against the tree, Aqua pulled out a small piece of cloth and used it to tie her hair into a pony tail. "Yes professor." aqua then began to walk over to the lake that she was previously practicing her music next to and stared at her reflection for a moment.
she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Summon:wings" As she uttered the incantation for her spell, water would emerge from her back and take on the form of a pair of wings. "I can summon my angel wings on command and as you previously saw i can cast a spell to entangle my targets in chains of water." She then dispelled her wings and began to focus once again. "I can also summon guards to fight along side me as my allies." She placed her hand out towards the water and summoned her magic circle beneath her, "summon guards" As the last word left her lips, two blobs of water quickly flew out from the lake to her side and began to take on the form of human men standing at 6 feet high and with a muscular build. "As a side note i can change their appearance into what i desire." She snapped her finger and one guard began to take on the form of aqua, and the other form began to take on the form of the professor. Should the professor come to inspect the guards they would bow to her and soon after aqua perceived that the duchess was done inspecting ( If she desired to), they would retreat back into the water
" I can also manipulate water but it requires me to sing." She turned to face the water once more. As she began to vocalize, Melda could see the normal red manna swirl around her right before turning blue when near aqua. as she began to sing and play her lyre a new song could be heard and her pendant would start to glow.

As aqua would sing the lyrics, a tear would fall from her eye, but she had not noticed. A tidal wave almost the same size as Melda's but a little smaller came rushing towards aqua before halting right in front of her and began to swirl around her softly as if listening to the music. she would continue to move the water in circles around until she was instructed to stop

Melda arched an eyebrow as the girl tied her hair back before complying with her request. Spell by spell Aqua showed her what she was capable of, though Melda arched an eyebrow again when she began to sing. So some of her magic was reliant on verse; that was different than what Melda had; none of her magic required chanting or verses yet, though she knew some people who had to do so.
When the singing ended, Melda blinked and nodded, staying silent as she mused over what Aqua had shown her. Alright... not bad. She started, pushing off the of the tree and stepping out onto the water, using her left hand to subtly manipulate the water to hold her weight. When she was in the middle of the lake, about 20ft away from Aqua, she crossed her arms, turning to face her. Come out here. She commanded.

After listening to Melda's comment about doing good, she observed the new teacher closely. She paid particular attention to her hands as that seemed to be how she manipulated that title wave that was behind aqua when they had met. as Melda walked onto the lake she saw that Melda could walk on water much like herself. "Ah, thank you." Aqua frowned a bit when she remember she wasnt at he full strength
As Melda walked out about 20 feet and instructed aqua to come to the lake, she obeyed. She place her right foot first and began to hum softly and closed here eyes to focus, As her feet came into contact with the water a ripple of light would come out with each step. she came slowly towards the duchess. When she reached meldas location she would open her eyes and wait for further instructions.

Melda watched carefully as Aqua did as she was asked, though her way of doing it was much different than Melda's. So, you need to sing in order to use any of your magic? She asked skeptically. If that was the case it would be very inconvenient. Having to rely on something like that in battle could prove quite difficult; there wasn't always time for a song.
Melda thought for a moment, wondering what else she could ask this woman to do. She knew the girl wasn't at her full powers, as she'd already told her so. After another moment of thought, Melda had decided. We're finished here. There's nothing more you can show me right now. So, I've decided that we will meet again and do this once more in the ARC. Its a program that allows you to practice without straining yourself. Perhaps you'll even be able to show me things you wouldn't be able to out here. With those words Melda marched off the ice, dusting off her skirts when she reached the grass. You're welcome to join me back to the Arch if you'd like, though I dont have time to start in the ARC today.

As melda asked if all her magic required her to sing she shook her head no "Only general manipulation of water requires me to do that, some other spells dont really require me to, like revealing my wings." She said as she stopped singing and began to hover above the ground with her wings. "My light magic doesn't require me to use singing either." she mentioned as she flew over to the edge of the lake
When Melda told her she was heading back to the arch she hesitated for a moment wondering if she was gonna be pestering her new teacher "Oh... no its fine im gonna just stay here for a little longer and practice my music playing i was gonna head to the market later as well." She added "But I will head to the ARC training when you want me to, i have a lot of free time until my schedule for classes is decided."
