A special consideration (Adrain,Arthas) [complete]

"Well well speak of the devil.. Dont worry adrain ill leave you a present to make up for that brutish moment of mine" Julen whispered as he retreated back from whence he came.

All signs of malice and dark magic left Aqua's body as soon as Arthas had arrived.

"Ah! Adrain are you ok? what happened, did the spell you just use cause that?" She said confused at what happened, it would be clear to Adrain that julen had rewritten part of her memory to not show any signs of the conversation that had just occurred. After a few moments Aqua began to shed a tear and covered her mouth in horror. Not even half an hour had passed and she already messed up everything yet again . "Im so sorry...im an idiot I put too much energy into that spell and it backfired didnt it..?" She paused for a moment and began to sob a little bit. "I shouldn't have tried to show off...it seems my energy is back but my control isn't..." Frustrated with herself and everything happening to one after another her she finally snapped, tears came falling down her face even faster.

 Arthas had now arrived, "Great.." she sniffled. The hand on his sword conveyed to aqua he thought she did it on purpose "no..I didn't hurt want to hurt him please believe me.." she turned towards Arthas " Headmaster Adrain told me to show him the extent of my magic and it seems I lost control... he was just saving me from myself and he hurt himself in the process.." as tears flowed from her face. She covered her face with her hands to stop them from looking at her in this pitiful state.

As Arthas approached, Adrain turned to the runic mage and nodded. "Of course." he says, then noting that Aqua was losing her grip. He turned and touched her shoulder with his unwounded arm. "Oh its quite alright. Manna of this world has a chaotic element, and it can influence constructs like those when one isn't so great with the control. You will gain it in time, so don't worry." Adrain says with a soft smile.

"Arthas, this is Aqua Aingeru...a new student whom has come to us from far away." he says, figuring that Arthas would pick up on that but not fully aware to the extent Arthas and Aqua were acquainted. "You may be working with her for some of her classes." he says, looking at Aqua once more. "Just gather yourself together and we can go back to the Arch and figure out your living arrangement."

Arthas looked at Adrian then to Aqua as she had a minor breakdown over the results of her spell supposedly going out of control. She seemed to be herself again but her behavior earlier seemed odd to him. Leaving it be for now he took his hand off the scabbard of his sword and relaxed a little bit. "I would suggest starting her with some meditation lessons to help with the mental control that will be needed..."

He stopped there and was wondering what defensive combat class she was going to need to start out in. It seemed he wouldn't be an effective instructor for her style of magical combat though he would be able to help with close quarters combat should she desire it. He was leaving what needed to be dealt with up to Adrian for the most part though would take the time right now to study Aqua a bit more, "Also I've met Aqua before now, I believe it was when she was accompanying Nyx at the time and someone named Kaguya."

Tears still flowing down her face "Even if thats true.. I still got you hurt-" Before she could finish her eyes flashed blue and aqua felt a familiar strength returning to her. she held out her palm and a new magic circle different from before appeared



"My light magic is back...but how? Wait with this.." She walked up for adrain. "Please let me see the wound?" If he allowed her to see it, the magic circle would pulse and begin to let droplets of light fall onto the wound, slowly healing it as much as she could. As the healing spell was being performed "If you think meditation is the best course of action for me ill do it gladly, also yes me and Arthas have been acquainted but we didnt get to speak very much afterwards." After she made as much progress as she could the circle would vanish and she sighed with relief. "I dont know how much i managed to heal so you should still see a healer to make sure everything is fine." She stared at her hands puzzled at the events that had just happened " Why did my light magic return to me now? This is so strange.."

"Agreed...it'll help her to adjust." he says then nodding when Arthas commented on the acquaintanceship. "Yes Kaguya is another new student. Nyx being the one who brought Aqua in this direction makes sense." he says, then watching as Aqua seemed to be empowered or recall something. She reached out to heal him, the wound closing up fairly nicely.

"Well in time powers can expand when you are acclimated to the area enough. In any case, no meaningful harm done. Let us go back to my office to figure out a curriculum and room placement." Adrain says, manifesting a portal and walking through it, returning to his seat in the office, He pulls out a large tome and begins to finger through it, looking for an entry.

"Level Four Residential, Room 35A will probably be adequate here. As far as tuition goes, I would like to see some sort of contribution to the Arch as a means of earning your way." he says, once Aqua was settled in.

she wiped her face of tears and tried to calm down, clearly she was still upset and confused of what happened, but she needed to just get through the rest of this process before she could sit down and figure out what the hell was going on. " Yes..." She responded quietly as she went through the portal.

When adrain pulled out the large tome to decide where she would stay she looked at the book to try and read the characters but it was of no use, these were letters she has never seen before. she frowned a bit but kept to herself. "Is that near Miss Nyx?.." she asked quietly before listening to Adrain about tuition, "Contributions..? Well I dont know what i can do but..If theres anything you need from me id be glad to do it.." She said trying to stifle her pitiful attempt to hide her tears.

Her mind began to run wild with thoughts of why am i here, what purpose? Am i going to survive long enough to go home again? Do i even want to go home again?  she was realizing she was lost. She agreed to come to the arch to learn magic but she failed to control one of her most basic and used spells.

"No, it's a priority student accommodation floor, as a princess it seems fitting to make sure you have adequate space for your needs. It is several floors below the staff floor where Nyx resides." he says, then pausing and seeing Aqua's face watery.

"Please stop and calm down, what happened is quite fine and normal for the situation. Listen, I don't know how it is on your world but there is a small degree of risk with all things magical. It is why we study and teach, to keep things under control and to understand magic. Is it through practice and perfection we contain the chaos inherent in mana, and its probably a little more difficult at first compared to how magic worked where you came from." he says, then smiling at Aqua.

"I've been through far worse, like blowing up half of my torso from repelling an angry goddess, so a small cut on my arm is very mild by comparison. I barely even feel it to be honest. In any case, perhaps you can assist the library as a job in your offtime, it'll allow you a degree of funds so you can live and do things, and it'll help as people are always raiding the library and leaving tomes out of order lately." he says as he then opens a small rift next to him, and reaching in it. A faint glow of gold could be seen as Adrain was focused and fishing around, the sound of clinking coins obvious. At the end of it, he pulls his arms out and the rift disappears, while Adrain puts a sack of gold on the desk near Aqua.

"A starting fund for your foray into this world." he says. If she opened the sack then, she would find the sum of about twenty thousand coins based on the size, denominations, and weight.

" Thank you headmaster" she told him. " its not just that accident making me upset.. its just im finally processing everything that's happened so far.. changing worlds, being weak.. not even remembering most of home.." She clenched her fist. "Forgive me your right im just being silly.." she tries to wipe the tears from her eyes completely again.

As Adrain described his experiences on nova she frowned a bit "I'm sorry to hear that, magic was similar in my world but I never messed up my main spell before... in fact i was considered a prodigy in my world cause of my mother.." She trailed off a bit before coming back to reality as Adrain hands her a bag of coins "My my.." She said "Thank you so much, words cannot describe my gratitude towards such kindness, I promise to do the best i can to bring honor to you and the arch" As she bows her head in gratitude.

"Aqua, take your time." Adrain states, looking at her with softer eyes. "All those abilities and things will come in time. Consider this a fresh start at least for a time, perhaps you can have a better lot here." he says, standing up and walking to her with a soft touch to her shoulder. "I've chosen a privacy suite for those who are high standing nobles so you will have time to collect yourself and establish here." Adrain says.

When she thanked him, he nodded. "Do honor for yourself, become strong enough to always be the master of your being and magic and confidence will follow." he says as he then makes a portal and steps through it, appearing in the hall of one of the wings. A few rich looking students look but then go about their way, a few with a nod to the headmaster. Adrain touches one of the doors as a magical seal comes open and revealing a dormitory furnished with the basics. There was a hallway leading to a bedroom, a study, a bathroom, while the opening area was a living room with a small kitchen.

Aqua nodded her head in agreement to adrain sharing some sympathy towards her situation. "I suppose your right. Well it is all the more reason to stay here." She smiled a little bit while looking at him. "I cant thank you enough Headmaster, this is perfect for me." She said while walking into the room "Its lovely here, its perfect for me, not to big, not too small." she said while observing the room.

If he followed her inside she gave him a quick hug and let go. "Sorry I felt like it was appropriate for me to give a hug.. In my world it is a casual thing to show immense gratitude, i know that probably isnt the case here so i wont do it again." After a few moments later she then yawned. "Im sorry Headmaster but i seem to be really tired after using my magic.. if you dont mind can i have some privacy to rest a while?" She said before her eyes flashed red and Julen appeared instantly. "Oh and if you want to have a chat with me, just come to aqua and say my name and ill come~"  before Adrain would be able to say a word to him, Aqua's mind and eyes returned to their normal state

Adrain watched to make sure Aqua would settle and find things to her liking, before she turned around and embraced him in the excited sort of way. He pats her back softly a couple of times before she releases, nodding as he looked at her.

"It's quite alright. Of course I'm sure you're exhausted after everything you've been through. Let me leave this crystal here so you can get in and out until we find a chance to attune it specifically to your mana to make it so you can get in without an object." Adrain says, pulling an elemental gem out and inscribing it with the door's combination, handing it to Aqua. As he did this, Julen popped out, announced his intent, then disappeared just as fast. He could tell this was a calculated message, and tried to act unaffected for when Aqua returned to normal.

"Get some rest, I'll see you sometime soon." he says, turning and closing the door behind him. Once he had went down the hall a few steps, he mutters slightly under his breath.

"Cheeky bastard...I'll find a way to deal with him eventually."
