The ground was black with soot and as the group made an impact with the ground the surrounding ash would coat their clothes and skin. The ash and ground was warm from the nearby volcano, the air thick from the humidity and ash that was still floating around. Since the group held on to each other, they would fly into the air and land only a few feet from each other. They would not be separated and would continue forward together. Their magic carpet would be ripped to shreds, unusable from this point forward. The group would have to continue on foot.
Not to far away from the group, the once lifeless bodies that surrounded the group would slowly animate, the life coming back to them through some unknown source. Five undead would approach the group slowly, from all different directions. They walked at a very slow pace, but would soon be close enough to attack.
As for the origin of the flaming rock that came their way, is unknown. What could be deciphered was that it came from the castle Morgg.

Ruby landed with a thud louder than one would probably expect from a 25 pound woman. She rolled over onto her back and slowly pulled herself up to a sitting position, one leg bent and her arm propped on her knee to support her aching head. Her back was aching and sore, her head was pounding, and she was surprised she didn't die from that fall. Before she knew it, Isen was asking her how she was. Or rather, if she was whole. She assumed it meant in one piece. She pressed the palm of her hand to her forehead for a moment, her eyes closed, and nodded.
"I just need a second." She said, opening her eyes and using Isen to pull herself up to her feet. She glanced around and took stock of the situation. Of course there were undead. Why wouldn't there be. Something she rather not fight. "Let's get-" She closed her eyes again, pushing against her forehead with her other hand holding onto Isen to stabilize herself, pausing for a moment "moving." She knelt down and grabbed her secondary backpack as she passed it, slinging it over her shoulder before collecting her spear from the dirt.

Eterna slowly got up, getting a few scratches, bumps, bruises. Her body was sore from the landing though she was glad nothing broke, it did take her some time to get up and running again as she stretched a bit, those close to her could hear her bones crack and creak as she stretched. Afterwards she unsheathed her sword making sure the landing didn't cause it to crack or chip since if it did she’d probably have quite a dilemma on her hands. “Ouch that could have gone worse I guess.” She said before looking for Wulfa, and Ruby “Hey are you both alive?”

34 hours, 23 minutes counting from sixty clicks back rolled from the tip of his tongue on the roof of his mouth each time he felt his heartbeat. He hadn’t slept, his arms ached, but he hadn’t stopped fighting since the moment he stepped close to this bloody fucking castle!!! He had lost body count hours back, probably between 145 or was it 154? Louie cussed. His clothes were covered in soot, ash and blood. His boiled leather tunic and gauntlets stained with black and fresh splashes of splattered blood. His pants were a little ripped around the knees; The dark boiled leather exposing the black leggings underneath that were a bit scuffed up. His brown leather boots caked with mud with every step he took through the fucked up terrain known as Morgg. He should had headed to the North gate, however, curiosity would kill the cat as they say… And it nearly did. Louie was beginning to regret his choice and slung his spear around, The sharp head slicing through rotten flesh with ease. However , tiresome having little rest, but at least he wasn’t unprepared! With a quick insert of his index finger into his mouth, Louie pulled back a wet finger and reach down to his belt. He clicked open a small pouch and scooped out a bit of white powder with his wet finger. Louie then inserted the white powder into his mouth, licking his finger clean before returning back to a fighting stance. Louie spun around, locking his arm up against the staff. The blade making a ‘whistling’ noise as it whirled around and sliced open another Zombies head nearly clean off. When he had stopped turning, Louie noticed the rumble and braced himself unsure what was to expect. His ruby eyes looking up to the sky, locking onto the hot fallen molten rock coming down from Morgg Castle. Was there someone on top of the bloody flipping castle throwing flaming rocks?! The fuck kind of bullsh-?! Louie paused himself, already confused, irritated and above all getting really tired of undead things trying to eat his face. He was about to look around, hearing a crawler; When suddenly he saw something in the sky become struck down and crash not too far from him. He swore he saw people on it, but he couldn’t be too sure. The pure lunar flower he had just took, had already begun to work and put a pep in his step. With another spin of his spear, Louie took off in the direction of where he saw the thing fall. By the time he reached the area he had saw the object crash. Louie had spotted what looked like a group of people, which thankfully looked non-undead from first glance. Though the closer he got to him with his spear ready, he paused just a few feet before the group. Taking a moment to look around to see if there were any undead close. “ Is everyone alive?! “ Louie spoke up; Not sure if they were undead or not, but at least if they spoke back he would know. He blinked for a bit, jerking his head to fight the lunar drop he had just took. He quickly approached ruby, reaching around his back to pull his backpack off and dug through its pouches to pull out a small blue vial of lunar drop. “ Take this and distribute it among your friends...It’s potent, but you won’t trip. Also if you are working for helena...Your head will roll before your lips touch the bottle.” He spoke, holding his spear with his other hand out just in case she and the rest of these people were undead.

Ruby being well allowed Ísenwulfa to focus on her own injuries. Her buttocks and legs were bruised from the impact of the flaming projectile that had destroyed their transportation, her right shoulder was badly bruised, and she thought her right ankle might be badly sprained. Eterna asked how they both were as Ísenwulfa got herself back on her feet, testing her ankle to make sure it wasn't really broken, and as Ruby spotted the people moving towards them and sprang into motion.
There was little point in Ísenwulfa running. She could fight, bruised and battered as she was; pain was nothing new to her, and she had fought battles with worse injuries before. But, while she could block out the pain to a large extent, she could not ignore the physical limits of her body. If she ran, her sprain might turn into a break if the leg gave out under her, and when fighting she would be slower than normal. It was time to fight as the rearguard and allow the others to move on.
With abrupt suddenness, Ísenwulfa realised two things: firstly, the pilot of their carpet, the only magic user in the group, was not with them. Secondly, she realised that the slowly moving people were, in fact, not the living but the dead. The site of the animated corpses brought back all the old stories of the cursed dead she had heard as a child and also filled her with a rage she had rarely known. The dead were to be honoured and respected, not subjected to this foul torture.
As the rage built, Ísenwulfa seemed to feel as though the rage was no longer hers, as though she was beginning to float outside her body and view things from an outside perspective. She tried to move for her axe, which would be the most useful weapon against the creatures, to tell Ruby she couldn't run, that she would stay and hold the monsters off, but she could not move or speak. In fact, her body seemed to be moving on its own. Subtly, but surely. Her stance became confident elegance, not cautious awareness. She seemed bigger, somehow, more imposing. And then, without Ísenwulfa knowing it, she was speaking.
"Ilina, munamp, ku puty kur pang Mukyuralnami ura nya? Nya Punkut'taruw tyu Punkuwaulaklnyii. Nya nunyuma Mukyuralnami."
Her voice was loud and carried, but it was not a yell or a shout. There was a coldness and hardness to her words that she had never heard herself use before, and an arrogance too. And, though she did not know the language she spoke, she knew the words she used.
Helena, child, you think to bring the Songbound against me? I am Coldest and Most Deathlike. I made the Songbound.
And then a strange man appeared. He was tall, dressed in bloodstained leather armour and carried a spear. Ísenwulfa did not know who he was, but thought he looked wild from the brief glance her body gave the man. Whatever possessed her body - and surely it must be possessed - still understood Noruvian even though it didn't speak it. Was that a conscious choice or an unconscious one?
Ísenwulfa's body held out a hand for one of the vials. She didn't know what they were, but her possessor had some idea, it seemed. It also looked at the newcomer with what she could only assume was a death glare, because her other hand moved of its own accord to her sword.
"Mi ru Ilinau wirpaanga kutyap, nyaw nyira akyu tyu nya uyi kaliw ku."
The voice emanating from her body was just as cold, arrogant and commanding as before.
We are Helena's enemies too, but try anything and I will end you.

Ruby leaned against her spear, the shaft dug into the ground, as she rubbed the back of her neck. She nodded her head slowly in response to Eterna asking. "Define alright." she stated jokingly. Her entire body ached, and it probably would for a while still. She was effectively ignoring the outside world. A quick death was sounding like an ok deal right now. Isen's voice broke her out of this pain educed stupor, only it wasn't exactly Isen speaking. It sounded like a lot of gibber jabber. Some weird language she wasn't familiar with. Ruby opened her eyes and turned, a bit to fast, and had to wait a moment for the pain to subside before she could actually focus and see Isen standing, then she noticed some tall man dressed in a somewhat similar fashion as she was, run up and ask if everyone was alright.
Ruby didn't really react noticeably as he came within range. Both of her hands were wrapped tightly around the shaft of her spear, high up near the blade, with nearly all of her weight being supported by it. She did move one leg some, so that if she needed to, she could buckle and drop prone, and push herself if she needed some horizontal movement as well while dropping. When you're not even 3' tall, vertical movement is somewhat hard anyways. The man rummaged in a backpack for a moment before holding a small vial of white powder out to her. It's a good thing that there was a fortuitous few moments of no combat for this story to develop. Plot armor is best armor.
Ruby ignored the new guy's rather obvious warning threat as she accepted the vial offered to her. At about the same time, Ruby watched Isen reach for her sword. Unsure of how far this weird talking Isen would take this....gesture, Ruby darted quickly; and painfully, away from her spot, leaving her spear to drop to the ground, as she basically dove onto Isen's sword arm, attempting to hold the sword in it's scabbard. "Not yet. If he's here he has the same job as us. Fight him after we win." Ruby stated as she pulled the stopper from the vial with her free hand. Based on what the guy said, that being that Ruby should distribute it, lead to her believing one doesn't need much per person. Should she take a smaller dose than the others? What even is this? For all whatever god this world has knows, this could be some weird cocaine poison. Oh god Ruby was given Fentyenol. How could you Louie. I mean strange man who showed up out of no where in Morggdor.
Ruby dumped some of the powder out into Isen's hand, gives some to Eterna, and then held the vial to her nose, gave it a little shake to disturb the powder, and inhaled.

Ingesting the powder that was given by Ruby she figured if the man wanted to kill them he wouldn’t have made the effort to approach them in the first place. “Thanks Ruby.” Looking at the mysterious man Eterna tilted her head slightly before talking “Hey we’re here to help put a stop to Helen’s crazy antics. So how about putting both your weapons down before you two try to kill each other over figuring out what happened. Anyways my name is Eterna, What's yours?” Eterna tried to diffuse the situation while wondering in the back of her head why everyone always seemed to choose violence over actually talking it out. She slowly started to recall all the times people decided to fight over a misunderstanding over her past life though quickly stopped since she’d stand there looking like a idiot all day if she tried to recall every time it happened. “Either way it doesn’t seem like you're an enemy so did you want to help us fight against Helena? Being in a group is probably safer than going alone right?

The group luckily stuck together, although the landing was uncomfortable - as to be expected - they were able to stay together. Unfortunately for the magic user who provided the flying carpet initially, he would be separated from the group, taking the most from the impact of the flaming rock. He would be flung far from the group within the trees, his location unknown along with his injuries.
The area reeked of sulfur, and the undead were slain ever so quickly by Louie, who was initially a mere passer-by. Though the group may be in pain, that did not prevent the undead from approaching more. Ten more undead approached along the horizon, again at a slow pace, but quick enough that they would be there sooner if the members didn't all get up.
From a distance, five undead could be seen approaching, caught aflame by an unknown source. The burning flesh made the surrounding area smell worse than it had before - the smell getting stronger as the undead approached. The burning undead were fifteen feet away, so it would take them some time to approach - walking at the same pace that the others were walking at.

Ruby seemed to think Ísenwulfa's body was about to draw her sword, and Ísenwulfa couldn't blame her. She did feel extremely guilty that the child had put herself though such an obviously painful rapid movement to to grip the sword hilt, and she felt a flash of fear that whatever was possessing her body might attack Ruby. Fortunately, however, Ísenwulfa felt her body relax and it looked down at Ruby with a surprisingly warm smile. A similar, but slightly less warm and familiar, smile was similarly directed at Eterna and Ísenwulfa's body nodded its head in her direction as it released its grip on the hilt of the sword. A single, final, severe look was still directed towards the newcomer, but otherwise no more hostile moves were made.
When Ruby handed out the white powder, Ísenwulfa's body accepted a palmful of the substance and, after a brief period of what seemed to be hesitation, followed Ruby's lead in snorting the substance. It gave her a jolt of energy, and it felt as though her bruises were less painful. Even her ankle didn't seem as badly injured, but she still couldn't trust running on it. Which, for what it was worth, was something she wouldn't have minded right now given the large number of undead. She was still furious, but her fear and uncertainty over being possessed was making Ísenwulfa less inclined towards battle. Her body, however, had other ideas.
Limping over to her fallen shield, Ísenwulfa's body picked it up and inspected the object as thought it hadn't seen this type of shield before. It gripped the shield by the central boss and hefted the shield a few time as though getting a measure of the weight and balance, and then called out loudly, "Wupi!"
As soon as her body got the attention of everyone else, it began to gesture. It pointed at itself, then gestured towards the oncoming zombies. Next, it mimed hiding behind the shield and pointed at the undead and then drew a semi-circle around itself. Finally, it pointed to the other three and gestured in a big arc that would end up behind the zombies. Ísenwulfa wasn't sure what the others would make of it, but she had a sinking feeling that she was going to be bait. Why was whatever possessed her body doing this? Did it have a plan, or was it just trying to get her killed?
The time was up. The zombies had closed half the distance and were almost within weapon range, but Ísenwulfa's body began to sing. She didn't know the words this time, even though it seemed to be in the same language as her body had used before, but any of the undead within a ten yard radius altered their creeping shuffle to zero in on Ísenwulfa. The thing possessing her body drew her sword and, rather than attacking, knelt behind the shield, keeping it close to her body so that it covered most of her from the front 240 degrees. Her body carefully kept the sword tip just above the ground, and continued singing. Regardless of what the others did, if any of the zombies reached her, Ísenwulfa's body would stab the sword down into the ground and a black web five yards in radius would spread out from her and climb the bodies of the undead. At the outer edges it might not even effect the undead, but right up next to her they would almost certainly be freed from the bodies they had been bound to.

Eterna drew her sword out as she watched the first wave of corpses get cut down by Isenwulfa, though she wanted to make a move she figured without any training together they would just get in each other’s way. She stared at the flaming corpses that were moving towards them. Suddenly she saw some webs go through the ground, as the corpses close to Isenwulfa seem to go limp, Eterna suddenly felt sick as she tried to move, though it only lasted for a few moments. After it ended Eterna decided she’d figure what happened after she dealt with the flaming corpses, holding her katana she quickly ran towards the flaming corpses and started to cut them in half, any of the corpses that into her range she would quickly cut down.

Ruby must not have gotten much of the powder, but she got enough to dull her pains and sharpen her focus some. It did nothing to the unease she felt seeing Isen smile for the first time, being that it wasn't actually Isen. Who or Whatever it was seemed to be ok with Ruby, though. So this 'isen' wasn't too bad. Ruby quickly gathered up her belongings and noticed Isen making gestures. She only started seeing about half way through and, even if she saw the whole thing, it didn't make any sense to her, so she kind of stood there and watched in amazement as she drew the zombies to her and then used some sort of magic to ruin their day.
Ruby was standing near enough that the black web went past her, ignoring her while it had an effect on the undead. She was flabbergasted that her friend had some sort of magic power. Ignoring the bit where her friend was possessed. Spear in hand, Ruby jogged over to Isen once her magic was done and grabbed her by the arm, pointing her spear towards the castle. "We need to get there, and sooner would be best. Can you move well?"

Once the group has slain the corpses the souls would slowly rise to the air after fading from view the ground would shake lightly as a extremely loud roar filled their ears, the roar which originated from the volcano would signal the disruption of the seal. After the roar ended they would see far less corpses around as they all walked towards the castle.
If they walked to the castle they would be able to see an occasional minion or hound make their way towards the castle. the castle gate would be lowered and what seemed to be a horde of Helena ‘s minions and followers filled the area near the gate as they would make their way inside

As her body sang and thrust her sword into the ground, Ísenwulfa felt strsngth leave her body. She was afraid that whatever possessed her was going to drain her body dry and kill her. Desperately she battered against her own mind and, as the singing stopped, she seemed to break back through - or was allowed back in - to her own mind. She slumped forward, leaning on her sword and panting from an exertion she didn't understand and fear. Her mind raced, fragments of old stories and songs, the smell of the burning bodies and the sound of the seal being disrupted all rattling adound in her skull and making it hard to think.
And then Ruby was there, grabbing her by the arm and pointing towards the castle. Ruby was real and solid, and the danger they were all in was very real. Ísenwulfa stared at Ruby, eyes wild behind her helmet's guard, then lowered her head. She took a deep breath and repressed her fear and uncertainty as she had learned to do long ago. When she looked up, Ísensulfa was blank eyed and blank faced.
"..."
Ísenwulfa tried to answer Ruby and tell her that she was herself and was well enough to fight, but found she had no voice. She tried again, but was still unable to speak. So, instead, she clasped Ruby's arm and nodded emphatically. Yes, she was fine to fight.
Climbing to her feet, Ísenwulfa ditched her shield and found her axe. When she saw how many of the undead Eterna had killed by herself, Ísenwulfa gave the young woman she had doubted a respectful nod. Then, retrieving her axe, she set off with the others for the Morgg, staying close to Ruby, who felt like her anchor in reality right now.
They were not attacked for the rest of the way to the castle, but the defences they encountered there were formidable. Though the gates were open, huge numbers of enemies lurked within and Ísenwulfa doubted that they could fight with all those. She looked at Ruby instead, head tilted questioningly. She knew Ruby would probably be able to find a less well guarded way into the castle and was willing to let her take the lead.

After hearing the roar Eterna looked at the other two members, though wondering what happened to the others she didnt have time to worry about it since she understood nothing good came when there was a ground shaking roar like that from experience. “Hey we need to hurry to the castle looks like its getting worse.” Eterna said before walking next to the two waiting for them to follow.

The roar was loud. So loud that the earth under their feet was vibrating, growing so strong it would knock some off of their feet. She had been wandering alone for quite some time, but was finally able to see the castle within a decent distance of her. She looked over to the left of her, seeing a party struggle with a group of undead. She was a woman who looked no more than early twenties , and she ran towards the group, now now finished with the hoard around them Omigosh!!! Are you guys okay?! She asked quickly, out of breath from running. She smiles to the group. I'm glad I found you guys. My group got disbanded a few miles back that way- She gestures back the way she came, The undead just kept coming.. and then there was these hounds.... they kept chasing us and biting at us... we all kinda ran our own way to get safe... She sighed, looking anxiously at the way she'd come from, as if hoping one of her members may appear. While she'd been talking, 3 more undead approached the group, lagging behind the original herd. Hearing them, she glanced quickly behind her, hoisting up her trident to defend herself and the group she'd come across. A blast of water came from the trident, the water pressure so powerful and blew a hole in the chest of all 3 zombies, each of them falling to the ground. Well. That was close. She shook her head, turning back to the group. Oh! My name is Amanzi! Can I pleeeease join you guys? I don't think I'll survive on my own if I'm being honest...
A new member wishes to join your party to help you out! Given that you are a member short, do you accept?
