Group 1's Event Arc

[Sareth Edara]

Keeping his eye on the enemy as much as the battlefield Sareth was seeing that everyone in his party knew what they were doing. Placing trust in the fact that they will do what they need to in order to keep themselves and their comrades alive he focused more on offense. He didn't shout out orders as it was clear everyone knew where to aim, his goal was to reduce the mobility of the behemoth before them so as it was assaulted by the others focusing on his upper torso or head. He moved behind him and swung both swords at the back of his knees which was never armored since it would completely hinder movement. The point was to bring it to it's knees for now and allow them all to reach the head and brain easier.

Alekir looked up at the hammers, bracing for the worst. Luckily the monstrosity was stopped by the 'leader' of the group. " Thank you Sareth, if you didn't come along I'm sure it would have been nasty." Alekir gave a sigh of relief as he saw Volke fall. It was one down and one other to go. The relief was short lived however as he saw Croix somehow get even larger and even more meancing. "OH BLOODY HELL ARE YOU SERIOUS? Well.....I guess I'm not earning my pay easily this time." Alekir decided he had enough of this thing and he quickly loaded both of his hand crossbows. He aimed the two of them at either eye of the creature and fired at it, hoping to cause some real damage with it. Gods he hated the undead.

After the upgrade Croix tried to land the final blow on Alekir but as he was about to he suddenly lost his balance, Once serath sliced the tendons that allowed him to stand, his legs would give way forcing him onto his knees as he roared.

Raising his hands as he saw the cross bolts fly, they would pierce his eyes as and one shot through the top of his head as Croix brought them down causing a small quake for anyone within a 5 meter range. Staying still after the next hit though his body would seem to expand before suddenly bursting as the souls seem to be sucked into the castle. Once the souls went into the castle, A bright green light would shine from the entrance almost like a signal for them to hurry.

[Sai]

Sai did her best to hold her position from the small quake using the crossbow to keep her as stable as she could be. Once the quake was over she looked at what happened as the souls seem to be rushing out of Croix going towards the castle. Looking up at the castle she saw that nothing was preventing them now from entering the castle. Now wanting to chance it and knowing they was a small chance it could be a trap but right now they needed to get into the castle. Picking up her bow she started running towards the castle, trusting the others would be heading there as well.

With the eruption from Croix and the souls bursting from his innards, flying towards the castle, Tres decided after surveying the scene for any other interruptions to fly over as quickly as she could to the castle doors. She watched as Sai was just under her, seeing a green light shining from the entrance. Tres knew that this was their one opportunity to enter the castle, without any other interruptions - at least until they got into the vicinity. Tres signaled behind her, yelling quickly "Hurry, let's go!" to the remaining members of the group.

Sareth was wary but he didn't want to stand around too much as there was too much at risk to sit idly by. Moving with the others he took up the lead letting his architect's eye activate so he could avoid traps, "If I avoid something try to do the same please it usually means it is a trap or weak spot in the floor." Taking as little time as needed to push his way to and through the doors as possible keeping a quick but not break neck pace.

Alekir gave a huge sigh of releif with the death of Croix. It was so relieving to watch the giant bugger die right infront of him. The relief wore of in seconds though and Alekir ran off towards the castle with the others. He heeded the warnings of the Sareth and stuck behind him, having his crossbow's armed in case things got ugly.

After the burst of souls that went towards the castle, the area around them would become eerily quiet besides from the occasional corpse appearing they would make it to the side gate without much trouble. Once they reached the gate; The doors would slowly open and show a large room. The room itself was dimly lit at first. Though upon entering the group would notice chairs covered in dust and cobwebs. Along with a table against the wall, A large bowl that was empty and a plate. There would be two doors one on the left wall and two on the right wall. Along with a door across the room where the group would be coming in from. The walls would be discolored and look strange upon first glance, on closer inspection the adventurers would realize that it was actually humanoid corpses that have been merged and fused together with the wall. If one of them decided to stare at the wall they would be able to see the faces of men and women.

Sai slowed down once they reached the gates, pushing it open slowly. Stepping inside waiting for the rest of the group to enter. Looking around the room she lowered her crossbow a little as she carefully took steps around the room stopping at the door on the left. Turning back to look at Tres and Sareth, “Anyone know which way to go?”

[Mysteria]

CRACK.

A cracking/popping sound could be heard coming from the wall as the group followed behind Sai. The moment Sai stepped in to the room and spoke; Four filled bowls of oil in standing lamps suddenly burst into flame. The entire room becoming brightly lit allowing the adventurers to see the contents of the room more clearly.

" I haven't seen a living being in a loooooong time. " A grungy male voice spoke from the direction of the wall. To anyone looking up at the wall; They would see a male with little flesh to him in the face and only his head was able to move on the wall he was infused with. " You look like you all have seen something from your nightmares. " The head laughed, finding some humor in the situation as it looked at each person that came in. It's clouded milky eyes 'staring' out at them with curiosity.

Meanwhile; The castle begins to shake a bit with a low deep rumble that could be felt under the group's feet. A loud rawr could be heard being the cause of the terrible trimmer that made the corpse on the wall tremble with fear.

" Those fools will kill us all if this continues!" A female corpse head animated, screaming out now that the rawr had awoken the corpses on the wall. They're limbs, flailing about on the wall while the heads and faces communicated their concerns in low groans and different languages.

Sai quickly pulled one of her daggers from her belt as she looked around from where the popping sound had come from, only to jump a bit when the bowls lit ablaze. Calming down her heart rate hating magic and mages right now but mostly Helena. Hearing a voice she looked up and notice that it came from what reminded of a man. As she listened to him she walked closer, as a shiver when down her back from him mentioning them seeing something from their nightmares.



Before she could question him, she felt the ground shaking, doing her best not to fall over until the trimmer stopped. Now the room was filled with other voice all seeming to be coming from the reminds of people that were now infused in the walls. Closing her eyes this time speaking her voice one of authority that she normally used against the children. “QUIET NOW!” Her eyes turned to the female corpse having remember what it said, pointing her dagger at it. “You speak what did you mean by those fools will kill us all if this continues?” As she waited for answers she trusted that the others would be keeping an eye out incase something appeared.

[Sareth Edara]

Sareth's eye didn't detect anything beyond the wall of bodies that was lit up upon their arrival into the keep named for the realm of Morgg. While he might find the wall interesting any other time he might have found a reason to visit here today there were more pressing matters. He surveyed the room more thoroughly finding no indicators of traps of mechanical nature.

Turning to look at the others after the roar that resounded through the fort he looked at the two doors that were available to them as ways to proceed through the fort, "Leave the dead's riddles and babbling for another time we have a far more pressing matter to attend to. We need to pick a door and start making our way into the castle, unless any of you are more interested in having a conversation with a wall of bodies than saving Teair."

Alekir just stared at the wall in disgust. He could only assume that Helena had a hand in this and he could only be disgusted. What did this do? Why would she do such a thing? He likely wouldn't get answers standing around. "Sai I gotta agree with Sareth right now. I'd rather not stick around to see what they mean and well if it kills them I think that's doing the world a favor." He shuddered at the disturbing wall before looking at the two doors. "Well I don't have a good feeling about either of the doors. So I'm up for either right now."

The walls continued to yell until the dagger was turned on it. “What's that dagger suppose to do? Kill me? We’re in the Morgg I’d just end in another wall!” The Grungy male voice spoke, there would be insults and taunts thrown to him from the other heads on the wall before the female voice spoke “I seen the beast the foolish goddess wishes to unseal, his very presence would destroy the Morgg! You mustn't let her unseal him. The beast knows no remorse or sorrow, Only vengeance and hate brought here from another world. The true beast died, Killed after days of fighting. In it’s weared and tired state was only when the gods could seal him away. And now without any help, the gods will be at its mercy!” The walls began screaming and flailing again once they finished answering Sai.

Sai turned her eyes to Serath as they narrowed at him, “I have more at stake in Nova than you could ever know. Plus sometimes if you have not notice the dead here are not attacking us, they might know information that could be helpful.” Turning her eyes away from him not wanting to let him get under her skin. She did not even look at Alkeir, it was one thing she would not let anyone know and it was that she prefers to go into a situation with some idea on what they might have to face instead of going in blind.



“Wall hush and just answer me one most question. Which door would lead us Goddess?” She asked. “I might not be able to kill you but I could make it so that you can never speak again.” Her eyes lit up a bit at the thought. Whether she got an answer from the wall corpse or not either way she would be going through whatever door others decided to go though.
