Auboran's long journey to Nova with Adkir had been interesting, but she decided to venture off on her own and make her own choices. She was in a world she knew nothing about, but, it was still a peaceful world. She figured that she would be okay on her own. As she was walking around, Auboran's stomach started to growl. She looked over at Stark, "Are you hungry, bud? I am starving." Auboran looked around for a place to eat and stumbled upon the Bloody Mary. Auboran walked into the tavern and took a seat at the bar. She waved the bartender over and ordered. "Can I please have a bowl of water and a glass of water for myself?" The bartender looked confused about the bowl but went on her way to fetch the order. She came back and placed both items on the bar. "Thank you so much." Auboran then ordered her food, a light meal for herself and a plate of rare meat for Stark. She placed the bowl of water and plate of meat on the ground for Stark. He immediately started to chow down, wagging his tail as he did so. Auboran also started to eat her meal, but in a more polite manner. As Auboran finished her meal, she began to think about her situation. "Where do we go from here, Stark? We no longer have a home. I can't even make us a home. My magic doesn't work here like it did back home." Auboran looked at Stark and frowned. She was starting to realize that even though this was a peaceful world, it wasn't her world, and she had no place in it. She had no idea how to make a living or where she would live. Auboran continued to sit at the bar and laid her head down on her arms on the bar. She began to cry softly. Stark whimpered at her feet. She reached down and picked him up and hugged him tightly. She wept into his fur, muffling any noise. Serenity Caine

Serenity had been sitting at the bar for about half an hour now. She'd been given the day off from Aria, and took it for once, rather than using it to stock pile some gowns and suits for her shop. She'd really need to hire help soon if this schedule kept up the way it had been. She sipped on her glass of wine sighing as she rolled her neck, her autumn coloured hair falling over her shoulders in loose curls. Her outfit was on the plain-ish side that day, having chosen a brown and white ensemble, of a puffy white blouse, brown corset and white skirts. The white of the gown made her skin look a tad more tanned, so she liked it. She turned her hazel eyes to the door as another day drinker joined them in the tavern, a small wolf in tow. Serenity arched a red brow at the creature, surprised it was loyally following someone who looked human. Though Serenity had learned a long time ago that looks in Nova were very deceiving. She watched from a few seats away as the woman ordered water and then food for herself and her little companion, smiling softly as the cub ate like he hadn't eaten in days. She turned her eyes to the woman again, looking her up and down as she tried to figure out if she was a traveler, or the more frequent option these days, a Fated. She furrowed her brow when during her speculation, the woman placed her head down on her arms on the counter. It was hard to tell at first, but when her friend whimpered she raised her head and Serenity could see the tear stains on her face. She smiled sadly as she picked up her pet and continued to sob into him. After a moment Serenity sighed. She hadn't helped a Fated in a while it felt, not one on one like she used to. Not since she'd left Bane. Out of what could have either been obligation to the Fated, or some mild humanity in her soul, Serenity picked up her glass of wine and shifted down a few seats, leaving one in between them. You two still hungry? I'll buy. She offered softly, smiling at her whether she looked up or not.

Auboran looked up as the stranger offered to buy her another meal. "Um.. no ma'am.. We ate plenty, but thank you for the offer." This was only the second person she had interacted with since entering Nova. She noticed that the woman's dress was simple, but it made her look beautiful. Auboran wore her dark red shorts and tank, with a hooded white cape around her shoulders. She hadn't changed her clothes or bathed since she had arrived at Nova. "That's a very pretty dress." She sniffled as she spoke. She hoped that she didn't smell too bad.
"My name is Auboran." She wiped the tears from her face and placed Stark on the ground. "This is Stark," she motioned to the white wolf pup. "I was holding him in my arms until next thing I know, we are both here." She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I guess it's sort of just hitting me all at once that I will probably never see my home again." She pushed her bangs out of her face. "I just don't know what to do here. I don't know where to start or where I am going to live." Auboran could feel the tears swelling in her eyes again but blinked them away.
"I apologize for my rambling, what is your name?" Auboran felt that she might be able to make a new friend. Adkir didn't really sit well with her. He was kind enough, but he just gave her the creeps. Auboran sipped from her glass of water and waited for the woman's response.

Serenity nodded. She figured she'd offer, in case it had been longer since they'd eaten and couldn't afford more. When the girl complimented her with a sniffle, Serenity smiled at her. Thank you! I made it myself. She beamed with pride, pulling a handkerchief out from the bust of her corset, offering it to her. As she introduced herself and her companion, Serenity nodded, waiting to introduce herself until the girl had calmed down some more.
Sure enough, Serenity's guess from before had been accurate; the girl and cub were Fated. Serenity let out a small sigh, nodding slowly as she explained what was going on. I'll let you in on a little secret of mine. She leaned closer over the seat between them. I know exactly what you're going through. It was just over a year ago that the same thing happened to me, though I wasn't lucky enough to bring a friend with me. She smiled at the last part, making a face at Stark. When she asked about her name, Serenity blinked, having forgotten to mention it. Serenity Caine is my name. And we're what the people here call The Fated. Pulled from our own worlds into this one... sadly there is no way back. She paused. If you need somewhere to stay, I have an extra room... She added slowly, not wanting to scare her.

Auboran studied the dress a little more. "I wish I had skills like that." She took the handkerchief from Serenity and wiped the tears from her cheek. "Thank you. I am sorry for the tears. This new life isn't even necessarily a bad thing for me. I didn't have any friends in my world. I didn't really fit in." Auboran sighed and handed the handkerchief back to Serenity. She sipped from her glass of water and cleared her throat.
Auboran was surprised to have found yet another person, plucked from their own world, such as herself. "A small man actually brought me here from where I arrived. He was friendly, but I didn't really feel comfortable with him. His name was, um, Adkir I believe." She looked down at Stark when Serenity made a comment about bringing a friend. "Oh yeah, I don't know what I would have done without him. He is my best friend and my protector. Although, he is still a pup. He is supposed to guide me in life, lead me to my soul purpose. He is here with me, so maybe it was just meant to be." When Serenity confirmed that there was no way back home, Auboran nodded. "Well, I guess I will just have to make the most of it then." Auboran was surprised at the offer for a place to stay. "That is very nice of you, but I have no money. I would not be able to pay you anything. I am not even sure I could find a job in this world to earn money. My only major skills are with animals. I only have a minor skill with trees."

With time you might. I could barely sew in my own world; but I couldn't stand to wear the clothing they had here. She laughed lightly. Hearing her explaination, she nodded. You know... I miss my world, but I know I'm better off here. I didn't have friends back there either... I was a different person entirely. This world has changed me for the better.
She took the cloth back, and nodded again. I'm glad someone helped you. I don't know who he is, but help is help Serenity smiled as she talked about stark, happy something was keeping her smiling. She remembered how dark the days had gotten for herself, and wouldn't wish it upon anyone. Honestly, it's okay. I wouldn't mind the company, and I could actually use the help in my clothing shop. You wouldn't have to do any sewing, just man the shop and sell things while I'm away. You see, this is my secondary job; my primary one is being the Handmaiden of Duchess Wurud of Palico. So if you want to, you could work for me to pay for staying with me? But you can always say no.

Auboran didn't know if she would be able to learn to sew, but she hoped that her knowledge and skills would expand as she spent more time in Nova. "I just want to thank you, Serenity, for being so kind and patient with me. It has been a long and stressful day and talking to you has made it better." Auboran gave her a soft smile.
Auboran's eyes lit up as Serenity stood firm on her offer to give her a place to stay. She didn't know the woman very well, but what other choice did she have? "Well, in that case, I will take you up on your offer. It will be nice to have a friend for once." Auboran got excited at the mention of a job. "Yes! That would definitely make me feel more comfortable about the arrangement. I will help out as much as possible, just tell me what to do."
