They had arrived on the island using the way Aria had given her to return to the island. Although Serenity would not be formally living there, she needed to be able to come and go as required. Once they reached the mansion from the beach; a trek Ser was far more used to this go around, Serenity let him into the house, showing him all the places he would need to know. From the chambers quarters, lavatories, offices and public spaces she walked along the halls with him, explaining the smaller tasks; monitoring housekeeping, chefs, meal times, meal menus, guests, and many more little things with being the head butler. Though it was Serenity's job to micromanage it all, it would be Xanders to monitor it. Once they finished touring the house, Serenity gave him the lay of the land, gesturing where things were from the front door, rather than hiking the entire island at once. Now, if you'll follow me, I'll show you the staff housing and the stables. They walked about 10 minutes off to the side of the mansion and arrived at a large wooden barn. These are the stables, She said as she unlatched the doors and let him in. There will eventually be staff to clean out the used stalls and maintain the horses, but there's no guarantee how long it will take for Lady Wurud to reqruite people, so it may just be the three of us for a while. Oh, and a good thing about Aria is that she likes mud. And various other gross things. She sighed, shaking her head. Any questions before I take you to the staff housing? She asked absently, paying more attention to a horse near her, patting its nose lightly.

Xander walked beside Serenity, using his peripheral vision to keep an eye on her. Xander couldn't help it sometimes, he found her utterly alluring. He continued looking forward not letting his own mind dwell on her figure, he needed to stay professional of course.
The walk around of the place was a little long. Xander took mental notes of the rooms, trying to make a mental map in his head. How was he supposed to remember all this so fast? Xander would find a way of course, but it was still difficult.
"This place seems like a maze right now." Xander laughed lightly.
"Stables?" He replied after Serenity discussed horses.
"So there is no one right now to maintain the stalls and horses? I don't mind putting in the extra effort and getting it all done until others are hired to do so."
Xander felt that he had the free time, and it would look in both Lady Wuruds, and Ms. Caine's eyes.
"Ms. Caine, " It appeared at least for the moment that Xander was all business, although he wasn't entirely sure if he was appropriately saying her name, and pronounced it like "kai-an"
He would of course apologize if he addressed her incorrectly but continued to ask a question.
"I don't have any questions currently, but how can I reach you if I end up having more later?"
This was a legitimate a question, but Xander was hoping to use the information for non-business purposes as well, but currently it was all business.

Serenity nodded. Be lucky you have someone showing you around. Aria thought it would be funny to knock me out and kidnap me, bring me here, and leave me alone to find my own way to the castle. With her trying to spook me from the shadows. She responded, bringing a hand up to cover her mouth a moment later, realizing she may be revealing to much about their boss. She's nice, I promise. Just... spastic. But you'll learn your way around eventually.
When Xander offered his assistance Serenity smiled. I'm sure that would be appreciated. Hearing her name, she glanced back at him. Its, Caine. Like a walking stick. She corrected politely. Hearing his question, she nodded, then her face lit up like she remembered something.
Rummaging through her bag for a moment, she pulled out two rainbow colours oval stones. Flat on the surface, and glinting in the sunbeams shining through the cracks in the stable walls, she handed one of the crystals to Xander. This stone will allow you to contact me. It is limited though. To activates it to reach me, you hold it in the palm of your hand and say my name. Mine will start pulsing and continue to until I activate it, which will then show me a radius of your location. It works both ways. Sadly we cant talk through it, but thats what letters are for I suppose. She shrugged, waiting for his response.

Xander gazed at Serenity as she spoke of Aria. What kind of woman was this business lady? Although Xander could be scared of a few things, they were very specific. A lot of fears dissipated with his death, although he still quite a few, death was not one of them, nor was being attacked from the shadows.
"Frankly I don't care who or what Aria is at this point." Xander looked at Serenity honestly.
"The truth is she is accepting me for what I 'am', and I can only accept her for whatever she may be. Whether that is a dictator, drug dealer, or anything in between."
Xander looked into her eyes, his own eyes softening as he spoke.
"She gave me a purpose when I hadn't any," Xander sighed lightly.
"My purpose for the time being is to manage my sector as efficiently as possible, before that I had nothing, and it was very depressing."
Perhaps because of this Xander was a little too loyal to the people that hired him, but it wasn't as if he couldn't leave if he wanted to, the fact was really what would he leave to? What did he need? What purpose did he had to live when everything felt like it was off limits.
Marriage, children, a real life. His children, IF he could have any could possibly surpass him in age, and die, as well as any lover he chose to spend their life with.
Xander's eyes averted back to a more cheerful look as she brought out the Crystals.
Xander took the one she handed to him and listened to her explanation.
"Excellent! This will make work much more effective I'm sure."
"So is my housing in the staff quarters?" Xander asked even though it seemed obvious, he did like his privacy, and wasn't sure he'd like a dorm-esque situation, if that was what it turned out to be. He of course wasn't trying to be picky, but the size of this place made his eyes wider with an envious greed for more, including that tailored outfit which he was still very curious about.

Serenity arched a brow at him. Yes well... She'll talk to you about it all when she's good and ready. I'd rather not step on toes. She explained, just in case Aria would prefer some of her personal details to remain unknown. Though I promise you she is none of those things... She paused, That I'm aware of. She mumbled.
When he explained himself further, she couldn't help but stare at him. She wasn't really looking at him, but into him almost. Lost in thought about how rough his life may be; being dead. She'd had no idea when he'd 'woken' up, but by the sounds of it it may not have been all that long ago. For how could someone like him, someone eager to learn and work, not have found a purpose before then, had he been awake sooner? She blinked, returning to the stables. Well, I'm happy you're eager about it all. I doubt it will last, but its cute.
She smiled as he happily took the crystals. They had been Aria's idea to find; just in case. She could contact either of them easily, but the two of them would have had a more difficult time on their own. Hearing him ask about his housing, she nodded. Yes! Follow me! She turned on her heels, opening the stable doors once more, latching them closed behind them.
Only about 25-30ft away was two houses, similar colour scheme and design to the main house. Welcome to the Staff Housing. There's only these two houses, but I have no doubts she would have more built if the need ever rose up.
She opened the main door and let him in, showing a quaint foyer with a staircase to the left, and a hallway in front of them. Down this hallway here leads to the kitchen and dining room, and all the other main common rooms. Upstairs is all the bedrooms and lavatory. She led him up the stairs. There's four rooms up here, all the same size, then one more bigger one. There are more bunkbeds downstairs if they become needed. We'll see. She opened the door to the larger room, letting Xander inside.

The day seemed to be quite eventful. It was as if everything in the world was just going right today. First he started with the news that he was in fact going to get a personally tailored suit, which he swore he dreamed to have many times over, Secondly, Xander got pleasured on degrees that made him forget the actual condition of his body, almost feeling as though he was re-animated again.
When Serenity called him cute he couldn't help but laugh lightly letting out the last bit of 'bad' he seemed to hold today. He wasn't quite sure what exactly it was about the tone of her voice, and her almost eagerness to get things finished for today.
"Yes! Follow me!"
She seemed to turn on a dime, and as Xander's eyes quickly darted to her heels, passing by other objects, he found himself confounded as to her quick speed with the high heels.
Xander was really liking this outing, he was able to keep a genuine good mood about him, and it was easy to see he was much brighter than usual.
Xander followed her through the housing, and looking at the various sections that Serenity pointed out.
She eventually lead him to a larger room, where he looked at her with a determined look in his eyes.
He was close enough for Serenity to make out the moving 'sands' in his eyes, as the individual particles reflected bits of light, making shimmering affect.
Xander kept himself from looking into the larger room for the time being, "So do I get a house warming party?" He asked innocently.

She turned, expecting him to walk past her into the room, but instead found herself face to face with him, his only inches away from hers. She opened her mouth to speak, but shut it not a moment later as she gazed into his eyes. It was like something behind them was moving, swirling almost... like his eyes had their own yellow galaxies within them. She squinted lightly, trying to focus on them more, see them more clearly. It was like small grains, floating around in a pool of water behind his eyes. Sand maybe? She blinked, realizing she was staring directly at him, and flushed with colour.
Hearing his question she arched a brow at him. No. Not a party. She answered slowly, tilting her head to the side. But maybe a gift, if you're lucky. She responded with the same innocent tone.

Xander looked at her curiously, no party? "Any gift from you I'm sure would be better than any party I could throw." Xander certainly planned on hosting a few parties once he had the money to do so. In fact, Xander was certain he could amass a fortune here, and he had an eternity to try and do so anyways. What else was he going to spend money on? It was of course woman, alcohol, drugs, and of course books, mathematics, building materials. Xander had a few passions which required a substantial amount of money.
Xander looked back into her eyes before stepping into the room.
"Perhaps I should have brought a four leaf clover,"
Luck wasn't really his strong suit, although he wasn't too bad at gambling.
"So, this is my room?" He looked around the area confused.

Serenity winked. You know damn well it would. She flirted, dropping the professionalism for a moment. Though she dropped the flirting again a moment later with his horrible pun, laughing at him instead. That was really corny. I mean, really bad She shook her head at him.
Nodding at his question, she stepped further into the room. Yes. This is the bigger of the rooms in the house. If you'd prefer the big room in the other house thats fine, but its identical. She shrugged.

Xander looked at Serenity as she responded to his horrible pun. He couldn't help but leak out a small smile as she affirmed just how bad the pun was. Her small flirt was enough to get Xander's attention again, and he was focused on her intently for a moment.
"Currently I'd say this room is a step above the other one. There's a beautiful woman in this one," Xander looked around the room, wondering what was in it. Did he have a desk? Chairs? A different living space? Or was this just one big studio apartment? Xander was wondering what he could turn this room into.
"Do you have any experience in home design? I could really use an expert opinion on how I should make this space stand out."

A trickle of laughter left her lips. You're quite the smooth talker for someone just starting a new job. She mused, arching an eyebrow at him. As he looked around he would find a basic room, like an empty motel room. A moderate sized bed, fitted with brown and green sheets, the curtains in the room matching its tones. There was an oak desk off to the side, as both large rooms had. A wardrobe in the corner, and a side table next to the bed. There was also a small wooden chest resting at the end of the bed.
Hearing his question, she tilted her head. I wouldn't say experience, but whatever I came up with would probably still be better than what you could. She smirked.

Xander looked at Serenity, his eyes for a moment filled with lust. She was really stunning, everything about her, from her movements, to her reactions. Xander really loved her form, and had they never had such an intimate encounter he would have found himself easily avoiding her body, and temptations, but it was almost as if opening the bottle so to speak kept him wanting more. Xander followed Serenity not only with his feet, but with his eyes as well. Xander felt like there was nothing too wrong with having a little bit of eye candy at work.
To be honest he never liked working with woman, he found them to be too distracting. He found himself hunting something other than profits. For some reason though it became an addiction around this woman in particular. Xander was often defensive about any work position. This was something that could possibly ruin his reputation to his boss, right? Although he wasn't sure what Aria's real personality was like yet. He sighed lightly under his breath thinking about the risks of sleeping around with this woman could be.
Xander found himself liking her voice, which was soft, sexy, and full of confidence. From the way she walked, to the way she presented herself in the room, everything she did Xander found attractive in one way or another, on a level he wasn't sure he felt with anyone else yet.
He thought to himself with an almost sullen look in his eyes, turned away from Serenity's gaze in an attempt to hide this sadness.
This wasn't a regular oblique mood that Xander found himself in constantly, this was more like someone who was terrified of losing something.
"If you'd like we can discuss more about my room renovations over dinner." Xander spoke confidently,
He was for all intensive purposes asking her out to dinner, and was more or less using this to sneak this proposal for dinner out there. He wanted to refrain from this activity, it could lead to things intensifying. He didn't want to end up breaking any hearts, or having his own heart broken. Regardless of the possibility Xander still felt interested enough in her to want a one on one dinner, regardless if she would be gone the next day. Xander knew if there was something more between them, he would not pursue it anyways. As much as asking her to dinner felt like him trying to take something he couldn't have, Xander still pushed himself to do so. Why should he stop himself from taking what he wanted anyways? He could possibly live forever, so should he start seeing himself as permanent? And others temporary? Xander didn't want to view the world like that, but it was true wasn't it?

Serenity gave him a moment or so to look around the room, but she felt like his eyes had stayed on her the entire time. She smirked to herself privately, noting that she still seemed to have that effect on people. She was more than aware of her "charms".
After a few moments of silence, Xander spoke again, proposing that they continue this discussion over dinner. Given that there hadn't been much of a discussion to begin with, Serenity let out a small trickle of laughter. He was very straightforward. It could prove to be interesting. I'll take you up on that offer, but I will say there's nothing much out here. Aria's Mansion is the only thing on this island, so if you wanted to go somewhere to be served, we'd have to go back out to the main land. She shrugged, informing him.
Her thoughts on Xander were simple; he was very attractive and seemed to think the same of her. There was of course that lingering problem of them working together, but she had been told that Aria's presence in their work lives may be minimal for some time, having business on and off in Palico. She decided she would let this play out; what harm could it cause? She had no one in her life that would be bothered by it; the two loves she thought she had kept leaving her without a trace... so why not?

Xander waited for her response, and was slightly nervous. After hearing her response Xander seemed to be a bit happier. "Well that's no problem, when do you think the best time to go would be?" Xander wasn't trying to get her to rush out to eat right away, he was fine with waiting a few days.
"I'm still learning the area, I don't have a lot of knowledge on the business locations. I'm learning rather quickly, but perhaps it would be best if you picked a location, and next time I can pick one." It would seem as if Xander assumed that there would be a next time, but that wasn't why he chose to word himself like that. It was more or less to gauge her response. Would she immediately assume he felt so confident as to guarantee this second 'date'. Xander knew that there was a possibility that this could be a one shot pony, there was a possibility no matter whom it was that things may go bad, and Xander was very logical in his preparation for that.
"I like expensive tastes," Xander added, curious to her response.
"And I'm willing to try anything," Although there was a slight sexual undertone, Xander really meant to get a different message across, and was unsure if it reached her.

Serenity giggled at his attempt to hide his eagerness. He was cute in his own way; a mixture of subtle cockiness and pure shyness. It was a strange combination, but it was also one she found very interesting. Well, if you don't mind making the trip back out again tonight, we can go now. Your tour is pretty much finished. And I can offer you my cottage to stay the night rather than you make the trip back out alone tonight. She brought a finger to her lips in thought, not catching her own sexual hint there.
Of course, if you'd like I can make the trip again with you in the morning. She shrugged and began to think of places they could dine. As he added in his preferences she arched a brow at him, not at all surprised by his statement. I think I know just the place. She smiled, and gestured for him to leave the room, which she would lock and then hand him the key.
From there she would lead them back to the docks and back on their boat which in about an hour would bring them back to the docks of Nova. Another thirty minute walk from there and they were back at Serenity's Shop from before. Forgive me, I just need to change and grab something from inside. She would rush in, closing the front door behind her. When she would emerge again, her outfit would have changed, into a lighter coloured gown of green, and a small coin purse would be in her hand. Ready?
