A Noru's Royal Outing ( Open | Lilith )

[Noku Noru]

So the carnival was in town? A good distraction to the people, but could it be a worthy enough distraction for that of nobility? Noku pondered, looking out at the kingdom from his office with a grim expression. He had been cooped up in the castle for days and his office was becoming his second bedroom again if Lilith didn’t drag him to the royal bedchambers to sleep. He had looked over his father’s journal until the point he would strain his brain just trying to make sense of the gibberish written inside.

Noku sighed in defeat, locking the journal away in his office desk and leaving with armed guards to his bed chambers. He walked with a fast pace. Not hesitating to snap his fingers to have his bedchambers door opened by a servant on stand by. He entered his bedchamber with a sigh and pondered through his closet. After several minutes, Noku dressed himself in a black tunic top, with gold clasp buttons. A purple sash hung across his shoulders and his lower half was in a beige color robe, with black leggings and royal-style black boots with gold trim.

“ I’m going out to the Carnival, inform my soon to betrothed and the royal guard....”

Noku spoke upon exiting his bedchamber; The royal guards on standby outside his room looked to each other before nodding and following their king. The second guard to follow behind Noku stopped to inform a servant of the king’s desire to go on a outing among the populous; The servant understood and the guard continued to inform the servant to find Lady Lilith so that she may join her soon to be husband at the castle entrance.

The servant nodded and left to go find Lilith; while the royal guard returned to his post by returning to guard the King. Who had already made his way to the castle front and stood waiting with a hand on his side, his voice barking orders to the servants and guards for them to prepare for their departure while he waited.

Lilith had of course, been in the library. She'd already visited Luca that morning, and there wasn't much work around infirmary to do, so she had planned on reading until the next meal. When a servant approached her, informing her that her fiance was headed to the carnival, and wanted her to meet him at the entrance, she nodded, closing her book and putting it back where she'd found it.

She sprinted carefully to their bedchambers, knowing she should change first. Having one of their first fully public outings dressed in her commoner clothing probably wouldn't go over well. Especially when there was a small bloodstain on the apron of the skirt from work. She pulled a gown out of the closet, having few to select from these days. Though her body frame was still petite, her belly stuck out rather far now, almost so she couldn't see her own feet. The gown she pulled on was a soft coral colour, the bodice made of lace and clear mesh, in a lovely floral design. It was sleeveless, the straps stopping at her shoulders. The neckline was round, but not low, ending at her collarbone. The skirt - the main reason she chose this gown - was made of more mesh and chiffon, very flexible for her belly. Once the gown was on, she caught a glimpse of herself in a mirror. Tall and pale in the pink gown, her pregnant belly very noticeable now, platinum hair straight down around her framing her glowing face.

She blinked, turning and dashing out of the room to meet her love at the entrance. Once she reached the main stairs she slowed here pace, knowing full well if he caught her going at a pace any higher than calm walking that she may be in trouble. She descended slowly, careful of each and every step until he was in view. She smiled, meeting his eyes as she walked towards him. Hello Handsome. She reached up and dusted off his shoulder, still smiling. So the carnival huh?

[Noku Noru]

Noku was standing near the entrance doors with his arms crossed and his foot tapping anxiously on the marble floor. The servants were just finishing the final touches of getting the carriage ready, when Noku turned his head just in time to catch Lilith’s entrance. His golden eyes becoming wide with awe as his beloved approached. The sight of her swollen belly and glowing ‘motherly’ figure made his stomach flutter and his breath cut short. She was absolutely stunning today; even if her attire looked a bit rushed.

Noku’s lips parted in a smile when her eyes met his and spoke. Her words causing him to drop his arms back down to his side, while she dust off his shoulder with such a warm smile. “ I figured you would enjoy my company for the day.” Noku returned his smile, taking lilith’s hand into his and carefully walking side by side to the carriage. “ Or is the carnival not to your fancy? I figured since it is a common activity for common fol~. Eh..I- I mean; I figured you enjoyed attending something like this, to make you less home sick.” He spoke in a low tone, not wanting to offend his soon to be bride of assumptions.

Meanwhile, the servants were hard at work preparing for the two’s departure. A servant broke Noku’s attention from lilith by interrupting the two with opening the door. Noku stepped inside the carriage; his arm still extended out the door to help Lilith climb up onto the step-stool of the carriage. An once both were inside and seated; The carriage would depart from the castle.

Lilith beamed at him. Well I always enjoy your company. She left out the other half of her comment for when they were alone. It doesn't have to be during the day.. She giggled to herself quietly as they headed to the carriage, hearing Noku's input for his carnival decision. 

She arched a brow at him, noticing how he stumbled for a moment. Love... I'm a commoner. Its not a dirty word... it's not a deadly disease. It's where I'm from, who I am... was. She smiled softly at him. You can say it, you dont have to worry. You won't offend me, and besides, I appreciate this gesture. It's very kind of you. She nodded in understanding. He was just trying to make her transition easier. And who knows, perhaps they could stop off and retrieve more of her things while they were in town. 

She accepted Noku's hand and help into the carriage, sitting next to him with a sigh. Things so simple like getting into a carriage were becoming more difficult already. She had a hand resting on her belly while she tiled her head to lean against his shoulder, needing to take a breath.
