Garrett softly closed the door behind him; while in mid turn tucking his tunic into his pants, adjusting his trousers and belt. He had did his best not to wake Aria as he stood outside the bedroom door. Perhaps rest would be best for her after three days of ‘celebrating’ their engagement in the sheets. His muscles were sore and his body ached, however, Garrett walked with a stride in his step down to the kitchen.
His eye scanning the hallways interior while he walked; The palace Aria had built he was beginning to adjust and call home. The entire place almost bringing back memories of his youth with each step. In fact he was so caught up in nostalgia that he hadn’t noticed he had already stepped into the kitchen and stopped before a large table. His eye blinking at the bright tropical feel of the place.
“ huh…” He scoffed under his breath, moving to where some chickens were hanging above the large kitchen fireplace and kettle. The very contents of his stomach gurgling and tightening to remind him of his hunger. Garrett picked up two of the chickens and moved them over to the counter to pluck out its feathers. By the time he was done plucking the second bird, Garrett froze from what he was doing to pause and stare out the nearest window.
There were freshly caught chickens in the kitchen… Aria and himself had been preoccupied for three days… How could there be freshly caught birds in his house unless…. Garrett turned back to look down at the bird with a half deadpan stare. “ Did Aria hire servants? “ He spoke aloud, talking to himself mostly while thoughts began to race in his mind. He knew about the other red hair girl that followed Aria as a handmaiden, but he hadn’t pegged her as the killing chickens sort. He pondered, slowly moving his hands again to continue plucking the bird for a mid-morning meal.

Xander made his way to the kitchen. He had a bit of extra time so he thought checking the conditions of the kitchen equipment and the inventory stock, as well as rotating any old product.
He made his way to the kitchen with a notebook in one hand and pen in the other. He walked into the kitchen and noticed a male preparing some food. He looked quickly at the chickens atop and wrote down the inventory stock, as well as an approximate length until the items spoiled.
"Do you need someone to cook for you Sir?" Xander asked him calmly unsure of his civilian status.
"If you are unaware I am the head butler, I recently obtained the title."
"I have only come to check the equipment and food stores,"
Xander looked at him curiously unsure of the man's position here.

Serenity yawned, exiting her room in the other servants quarters. Xander had chosen the one closer to the stables, so she used the one further, as there was only one big room per house. She had spent the night on the island, having some buisness to attend to the night before and not feeling like making the trip back out that late.
She had dressed in a basic black gown, her autumn locks pinned back in a messy bun at the back of her head. She entered the kitchen through the basement entrance, to lazy to go around the the front of the mansion. As she opened the door, she heard Xanders voice, speaking to someone else. Who else was down here so early? Aria wouldn't be up for hours knowing her.
As she entered the room, she widened her eyes, immediately curtsying. Goodmorning Lord Blade. She said, using his last name just in case. After all, she was a servant in his house as well, no matter her actual status. Plus, she had really embarrassed herself in the past with him, and didn't wish to do so again.

Garrett looked up when he heard someone enter the room. He had thought it to be Aria at first; So his reaction was just on his behalf. Garrett lifted his head with a flirty expression, puckering his lips out to make a kissing gesture. However, upon first glance he noticed that the person he was ‘flirting’ with was FAR from being Aria. In fact, he was surprised to see that it was a man standing in his kitchen that he had never seen before. Shocked, Garrett stared at the man with a bewildered look. Puckering his lips back into his mouth, and biting over his lips to show that the kissing gesture he had made before hand was not meant for him.
Garrett stared at the fellow for a moment longer; Not really sure if he needed to grab the closest knife to stab at him or assume he worked within the palace. Which thankfully that answer was quickly given the moment Xander spoke. So Aria had hired someone while he was away. Garrett pondered, looking at Xander with a raised brow before looking back at the dead chicken under his hand. He let go of the bird and took a step back. “
“ Uh, sure? I wasn’t aware Aria had hired a butler.” Garrett spoke, walking over to a bowl and washing his hands from the filth of the bird. It was then that Serenity opened the door and entered the kitchen; Which Garrett took notice of the wide eyed expression and immediate curtsy. Which made him chuckle a bit, but also freeze up a bit at being caught off guard. Though he at least knew this servant that followed around his beloved. “ Good morn, Miss Caine. I was not expecting company. “ Garrett smirked, lifting his right arm up to point his thumb over at Xander with a coy gesture and smile. “ Have you met ‘The Butler’? My other half has hired? I haven’t gotten a name yet. Mr…? “ Garrett asked leaning his back up against the counter.

Xander looked at the man curiously. He had turned with quite the face on him. Was he trying to flirt? Xander although in the past was against male on male interactions, knowing that he would be alive for quite a long time he wasn't entirely against it anymore. Xander wasn't used to being the center of male attention, although he wouldn't mind using it to his advantage.
He stayed silent though reading the situation calmly and realizing he had addressed Xander this way thinking that it was someone else.
"She hired a 'head' butler, Sir." Xander corrected him of his status.
Serenity had joined the scenario, and he eyed the two. Clearly this man was of some importance around here. Xander curiously listened trying to gain every valuable piece of information out of the dialogue exchanges.
"My name is Xander Amzina, It's a pleasure to meet you." His tone was open, and friendly, however there was no hint of emotion coming off of his face. No sense of being uneasy around this figure, despite his potential status which outranked his own. It was hard not to try and impress everyone, but Xander wasn't going to run around like a chicken with it's head cut off because someone who might also be his boss. More people to impress right? Xander's work would impress them all in time, so he wasn't worried.
