Date:1 Week and 6 days before Morgg Location: Library Private AreaTag: @deek Kokaura
Time: Morning Yuki was wearing the dress she got from Serenity’s store, even if the dress wasn’t the most appropriate it did a few things, it did show off her body in plain view leaving very little to the imagination. One thing about the dress sadly that she did kind of regret is that it show off some of her bruises on her back that she got the day before when she rejected her mother choice of another suitor but it couldn’t be help. Quickly she place her hand in between the sleeves as she looked at herself in the mirror it was sad vision looking back at her, she looked nothing like the noble girl of her station instead what reflected was a that of a common street harlot. The only thing left was her hair deciding to have up in it’s normal style she allowed it hang loose as she adjusted her hair. Once done her hair flowed over her shoulders covering her chest a bit with and the rest rested on her back hiding the bruises. One more look she grabbed a cloak to cover herself from head to toe not wanting anyone to see her dress liked that. Walking towards libary her shoes clicked against the floor she had considered stopping in the kitchen and getting something to drink but decided against it since she needed to have her wits about her if she was going to try and not allow her mother to manipulate her into saying yes to the marriage. Upon reaching the library she took a deep breath breathe and push the doors open looking around she was glad that not too many people were there yet. Making her way towards one of the back rooms where the meeting was going to happen. Normally this would have happened in the office but after what happened yesterday the location had been change. Seeing her mother she smiled at her praying that she was in a good mood at the moment as she her place next to her on the right. “Good Morning Mother.”
Now it was just to wait to see what horror of a male her mother was trying to get her to marry this time before setting her plan into motion. Dress <- white

After last night Kozakura had hoped Yuki had changed her mind and at least try to make a good impression for the suitor and not embarrass everyone here. “Good Morning Yuki, I hope you are all ready to meet the suitor and not wear that cloak for him to see.” Kozakura said before moving closer to the table.
“The person you will meet is the Archduke Kyler Gorvaren, Heir of the Gorvaren family. They are an extremely influential family. I need not remind you what happens if you mess this up do I now?” Saying that Kozakura had waited for the Archduke to arrive while standing next to Yuki.

Now there was another reason other than visiting the king that Kyler was currently present here at the Nova palace. You see his father and mother had sent him a letter saying that there was a potential monetary gain through the form of an arranged marriage. The family that he was meeting today was just that; a family that had connections on the coastal line and thus it would allow him and his family to further their trade routes. Intrigued by this thought, Kyler had sent a messenger to the family saying that he would be arriving slightly late due to he hadn't eaten yet, but that they should expect him within the hour.
Grabbing an apple, the young Archduke decided he would play this as professional as possible. Taking a deep breath he began walking to the room that the messenger said they would be in. Kyler was very curious but he was also apprehensive due to the danger this kind of situation could cause. Shaking his head slightly, the young man looked at the green apple in his hand and then bit into the juicy apple. Chewing and then swallowing, Kyler allowed the taste to seep down and then he knocked on the door to the room their meeting would be in.
A few moments later, a guard had opened the door and stood to the side so as to let the Archduke enter the room. It was here that his own guard and close friend spoke. "Archduke Kyler Gorvaren." It was a small title but it carried a lot of weight. Smiling at the older lady in front of him, Kyler walked to her. But first, he had handed the apple to his servant whom simply held it. Once he was in front of the lady, Kyler lightly took her hand in his and kissed the top of it. "Baroness Kozakura, it is nice to finally see you face to face. My father has told me much about you and your family."

Yuki smiled warmly at her mother at the mention of her cloak oh how her mother was playing right into her hands. In her mind was smirking knowing that removing the cloak or not either way she would win this fight with her mother even if it was only a small gain. “Of course mother but it is a bit cold and don’t wish to catch a chill. I hope it is okay that I keep on my cloak.”
A smile still on her face as she nodded her head hearing who she would be meeting today. It seem ever meeting she was meeting someone in the top three rank when it came to nobility. This time it was an Archduke the name sounded a bit familiar but it did not seem like a Novian family. All she could think of was that her mother have given up on marrying her someone from this court and was now trying to set her up with someone from another court the only thing she wondered was if this person was from Kanto or Palico.
She remained seated when a guard announced that Lord Kyler had arrived, lifting her eyes only slightly to see what horrible person her mother had choice for her. Instead of someone horrible that was twice her age she was greeted a young man around her age, his hair was the same shade of blonde as her own what captured her the most was his eyes there reminded her of an emerald but that didn’t seem to do him worth.
Yuki remind where she was since it would be considered rude for her to speak unless she been addressed. Not that she expected that she would addressed this meeting since her job was sit there look pretty while the two of them worked out her price that’s all she was a price pig to be sold to benefit someone else. Turning her head she decided to just stare at her hands as she played with the edge of her cloak just waiting for the meeting to start not that she had any high expectations from Kyler she just had to wait until the right time to remove the cloak and reveal her outfit of choice and so that the agreement wouldn’t come to pass.

Hearing her daughter speak about keeping the cloak on Kozakura would had normally just pulled the Cloak off. Though since this is an important occasion she’d allow it for now “That is fine child, though when the archduke arrives I hope you will remove that cloak at one point in during the occasion. We are in a library and will be in the presence of an archduke, you will show him the utmost respect.” Kozakura said, a hint of annoyance could be noticed in her voice.
Kozakura watched as the door opened and the Archduke walked in, once he kissed her and greeted her Kozakura continued to think that her daughter had better not mess this up. “Indeed Archduke, I’m glad to hear that our family had been heard of by yours. I hope your trip from Palico was pleasant at least?” Kozakura greeted the Archduke before turning to her daughter “This is my daughter Yuki. Here child come off of that seat and introduce yourself.” she said as she waited for Yuki to introduce herself to the Archduke.
Kozakura was smiling inside since everything seemed to be going well right now, All she hoped for was that her daughter did not mess it up for her right now. Thinking that she stood and looked at her daughter. Especially the cloak that she was wearing getting more annoyed by the second as she looked at it. She would then look towards the Archduke “I’m sorry about my daughter’s appearance as of now Archduke. She hasn’t felt too well when she woke up so the cloak was to keep her warm” Hoping the Archduke wouldn’t find offense to her daughter’s outfit she continued to hope for the best as she waited for her daughter.

As Kyler listened to Baroness Kokakura, he bid his time on waiting for the right opportunity to strike the pan while it was hot. His father had raised him to listen to every last word that the people said, and to weigh the options. For a few minutes, the mother talked on and on about how it was an honor to meet him. Sighing slightly, Kyler was about to ask his guard for the apple back, but he found himself looking and weighing the proposed daughter to be married off. Looking at her and then debating the pros and cons already, Kyler sighed yet again. This lady had no backbone at all, it seemed she allowed her mother to speak for her, thus she was a pushover. Kyler did not want that as a wife. He wanted someone with fire in her belly, as the saying went.
When Kokakura had ordered her daughter to come introduce herself, he waited and waited but the daughter never did. In fact, she remained sitting in the seat she had been in. Then came the apology, an apology for her daughter not standing when he entered, nor removing her cloak. Getting slightly irritated, Kyler was about to respond when a voice in his head told him to remain calm and rational. Taking a slight breath, Kyler looked at the older woman with a sweet smile. Still, he would remember this day very well, you see he viewed first impressions as the first and last shot at potential arranged marriages. So far things were going okay, but he hoped that Kokaura would not put Kyler at fault for what he was about to say.
"Baroness Kokaura, I have only come here because it was my father and mother's wish. So please, let us sit down while we discuss this...potential betrothal." Moving to sit down, Kyler passed by Yuki only to see her bare shoulders. Wait if she was sick, then...why was she not wearing clothes that would cover her fully. Something was suspicious. Looking at Yuki's mother and then to his small journal, Kyler began to write down a few things. So far he had noticed a small lie already. The fact that she said Yuki was sick was now the obvious lie.
Finally, all three were sitting down. Closing the journal, Kyler looked at Yuki's mother and began to speak, but this wasn't his normal voice. This sounded more like a business man's voice. "Alright let's get down to business. You sent the letter to my father with an intent to marry your daughter to me. Now, we had a few of our friends look up your family and have found that you're...quite gifted in magic. But, let me ask you this. What is it that makes you think this would be a good pair? I know the fact that you have trade with Kanto going, but I come from Palico, Palico to Kanto is a very long distance" looks toward Yuki "Besides, it seems the lady herself seems uninterested in even striking up a conversation with her potential betrothed. Oh, and if she is indeed sick as you say; then why have you forced her to attend this meeting?" Turning his attention back to that of Kokaura. "Oh and please...don't lie to me, I have found myself sick of lies and deceit."
Clearing his throat by drinking some water, Kyler continued talking. "Now despite all this, we are willing to make your daughter my wife. But, we must have complete control of her inheritance and the trades you have going on with...well everyone." Looking at his guard, Kyler nodded and the guard softly placed a piece of paper with all the conditions that Kyler had just said and an open signature. At the bottom of the page it stated that Yuki had five months to prepare for the wedding, this was a very generous offer with all things considered. Beside that guard was one of Breton's loyal ears as well.

Yuki did her best not to finch at her mother tone of voice she knew if she did even if the meeting well that she would be on the receiving end of punishment. The thought of it made her shiver that all she wanted to do was disappear out of her mother’s sight. Instead she just rubbed her arms feeling the bruise that was on her shoulder, doing her best not to react to the pain knowing it would only make her mother happy if she saw it. Instead she just smiled and nodded her head to make it seem like she would consider removing the cloak at some point during the meeting.
The moment her mother started to speak she stopped listening it was all the same just a new name each time. Her mother would go on mentioning the title, how it is an honour to be know by someone of the family then comment on the life at court or the person’s family business. Then she would introduce her, as right on que Yuki lifted her head a bit and smiled at the man. “It is an honour to meet you Lord Gorvaren.” The smile on her face was fake even if it looked real but her eyes betrayed her true feeling in that moment. She did not want to be there and her dislike for both of the people that were about to talk of her future.
As the meeting started she just remained in her seat, her eyes drifted to the other people in the room the servant and the guard. Something about familiar about the servant but she couldn’t put her finger on it thinking that it was just her imagination for the most part. Turning back the conversation at present she just listened she was a bit surprise to hear that her mother was gifted in magic she had never seen the woman use magic but it would explain one of her abilities she has. “Now hold up!” Standing up she turned her back to her mother as she faced Kyler. “If you family have done so much investigating into mine then you would know the reason why we have a good trade going on with Kanto is because of where the family estate is location. Second was easier to set up trade with Kanto because of how close it is meaning we can provide quality and quantity. Plus you would also know that we have are working on a trade agreement with Prince Sareth of Pharena.”
Stepping away for a bit she swept over to the window looking down at the courtyard. “It seems that whoever you had investigating us did not provide you with all the information. Since they would know that I have suffered illness growing up that only became worse upon losing my twin.” Turning her head she looked straight into her mother’s eyes as she said the next part. “That mother would have to hire mage healers to come in and cure me.” Turning to look upon Kyler. “They would have also told you that just a few years ago was I bedridden for months on it that cause my previous betrothed to break off the engagement.” Taking a deep breath she turned to the face the window looking at her reflection adjusting her body so that she could see the reflection of the others in the room. “I will strike up a conversation when it is something of important other than that there is no need for me to speak.”
She reminded by the window but she saw as Kyler drank the water she also made sure to keep an eye on her mother’s reaction. Her hands curled into a fist at her side hearing that he wanted control over her inheritance and the trades that SHE worked hard for since coming back to the castle all the deals that SHE got for her family. “No.” It was soft almost as she never said anything, as she turned around anyone who looked would notice the rage in her eyes as calmly walked over to the desk picking up the piece of paper. “My inheritance is mine and I do not wish for any man to have complete control of it, the trades are mine as well. I have worked my fingers to the bone strengthening all the deals we have going, renewing contracts and getting new ones. I am sorry Archduke Gorvaren but I will not allow you to own everything that I have worked hard for in the last year.” All while she had spoke her voice remained steady and calm; picking up the quill she dipped it in ink as she quickly read over the conditions she was about to cross out the ones that she disagreed with when something better came to mind.
Instead she placed the quill in the ink jar as she walks over to the window the the intention of making it seem like she was reading it over considering her options. Her eyes lifted from the contract for a moment to look at Kyler in terms of looks he wasn’t bad looking, his eyes drew her in but he was like the all the others he saw her as an object to be brought then take everything that she worked hard for since her first fail marriage. Making her way back over to Kyler she smiled at him contract still in hand as she lend forward to with making it seem like she intended to kiss him on the cheek instead she spoke lowly that only him might hear. “I don’t need your title nor do I want to be your object.” As soon as she said the last word tearing could be heard in the room as she ripped up the contract.
A smirk on her lips as she watched his reaction, moving to the window she opened it as she let the pieces of the contract fly off into the wind. Taking a moment to watch as it scattered across the wind before turning to the people in the room. Giving a low curtsy to her mother and the man who wanted an object she flashed a true smile the first time since the meeting started. “It was a pleasure to meet you Archduke Gorvaren I am sorry this did not work out as you may have hoped.” Not even looking at her mother she only nodded her head to the guard as she opened the door leaving the room without a sparing glance to either. Her plan now was to head to her bedroom and change into her riding gear and go for a ride clear her head away from everything.

“Of course Archduke, my Apologizes but she had just informed me when she arrived that she was not feeling well, And well she’s a difficult one to accept such circumstances. There been many teachers but my daughter never truly understood her worth” Kozakura said hoping to get back on the Archduke’s good graces. Then it happened. She watched as she tried to control herself seeing Yuki go off on the Archduke without any formality.
As she was about to intervene she heard something from Yuki that she didn’t have ever expected, why the mages were brought in. Did she know? Questions quickly filled her head for sometime as she continued to consider if Yuki knew the truth and if she did then what would have become of them.
As she stood almost at a blank she still was able to see everything that was happening though it might have been too late as she realized the noise was her Idiotic daughter ripping up the contract. “Y..Y..YOU IGNORANT DAUGHTER!” Kozakura bursted momentarily in a fit of rage. Almost biting her lips to keep her appearances in front of the Archduke “After everything it took for this to even be considered, how dare you act like this in front of the archduke!” Kozakura tried to stop Yuki before she left though she wasn’t fast enough. Trying to calm herself down she looked at the Archduke. “i..I apologize for how all of this went, I would had never expected my daughter to act this way.” Looking at Kyler she would continue to apologize hoping that chances was Yuki didn’t ruin everything completely.

Not a single word was spoken from Kyler. As he finished what he had been saying he was wondering how the two ladies would counter his offers. But instead, the one he was here for had decided to act like a child and throw a tantrum. Watching her stand up and yell at him about how all of the trades and such was because of her. The fact that she kept going on and on about it was irritating Kyler immensely. Taking a deep breath, Kyler was about to speak but then she had said more about how he would have no say in her trade deals. Oh really now? You expect your husband to freel;y give you control? Nope, that wouldnt happen in any of these countries. That's what Kyler wanted to say but he didn't. Instead he remained passive and kept his smile.
The she continued again, even going so far as saying she wouldnt be his wife or object; then of course taking the cake and ripping up his contract for her. Well, she had just insulted him, made her family look horrible and most of all; made herself seem like a child. As he watched her leave and then hear her mother yell, Kyler looked at the torn up contract. Well that was one way to be rid of this situation. As Kozakura continued to apologize; Kyler slowly stood up and then spoke. "Lady Kozakura, it seems that your family is not ready for a marriage, let alone having a conversation with someone like myself. So, I will be sending a letter to my father and mother detailing this account. If they still wish to continue discussions you will be notified. But, don't hold your breath for it."
With these words, Kyler walked toward the exit of the room and then left. He was being extremely passive at the moment, because he was more pissed off than anything else.
