Adrain a few days after the fateful night Melda and him became 'official' at least as much as they were going to tell anyone since Melda would likely not shout at the top of her lungs about it and he figured Melda would scold him if he did, decided to plan a romantic evening for his new beloved. He had told her to take a portal at an hour past sunset that would appear in her office while he prepared. In the meantime he had spent time paying off people to keep privacy around a secluded part of the springs, erecting sound and physical barriers to keep the unwanted out and other preparations.
Meanwhile he had surrounded the spring with hundreds of candles of the scents that he knew Melda to like along with incense. He had a pod of ice with wine in it, along with a light meal of pork, steamed vegetables, and roasted potatoes with a desert that was replicated from the fated time called cheesecake. As he sat at the edge of the pond with his feet in the water, having everything laid out on a fine silk blanket atop a thicker quilt with pillows and other comforts, he took a deep breath. Melda was a woman of a high class, he was uncertain whether this sort of date would appeal to her or if she had different expectations in mind. Perhaps he was overthinking it.
When the time was right, Adrain would manifest a portal at the place in her office, waiting to see if and when she would step through.

The entire day after Melda had gotten Adrains messgae, she could hardly contain the smile that kept slipping back onto her face. Though she had business to attend to all day, she couldn't quite bring herself to focus on it, and the day went by so slow because of it. As sunset neared, she returned to her chambers to prepare, wanting to change gowns and have her handmaiden redo her hair, not wanting it in a tight bun for the evening. The gown chosen was not one she would wear in court, or even with friends. It was one she'd grabbed when they had visited the Elven Land, remembering it from her Youth, and thought "hey, why not." She had a feeling Adrain would approve. Baby blue sheer fabric over a gold lace under layer, with a sweetheart neckline, an a midsection covered in small jewels, as well as the sleeves, which were just over her shoulders. Her handmaiden removed her hair from its tight braided bun, letting it fall in waves down her back. She pulled a section on the left side and twisted it softly, pinning it back with a few pins before adding in a lovely sprig of lavander. With a smile, she dismissed her maiden - who was a tad confused by that- and waited for the sunset to come and go. She was sitting back in her office as instructed when the portal opened. She felt her heart leap forward in her chest, which she scolded herself silently for. She stepped through the portal without hesitation, stepping onto the grass around the springs. With awe and wonder she looked around her, the light of candles surrounding her, the smells lifted into the air and pleasing her nose. Finally her eyes landed on him, and a bigger smile sprung onto her lips, unable to contain it any longer. Oh my... She said softly, bringing a hand up to her cheek. She couldn't believe he'd done all this... it must have been so much work! She stepped forward, a rosey tinge in her cheeks. You didn't have to do all this...

Adrain smiles seeing Melda, but couldn't help but to stare at the more...risque dress. It wasn't horrible, but it was more than her standard day to day attire he had come to know. He stands and goes to her, giving her a soft embrace as she surveyed the surroundings. "Oh come now...it wasn't anything. I want to give you splendorous experiences to woo you." he says coyly, taking her hand and leading her to where the picnic setting was laid out.
"So I made this meal for us, roasted pork, steamed vegetables and broiled potatoes with some traditional elven spices according to the cookbooks, and there's a selection of wines for you." he says, trying to project confidence but the finer details of her food preferences admittedly weren't entirely known to him. There was a degree of veiled nervousness she could pick up on.
"But you know, relax, enjoying the setting, have your fill and we'll see where the night leads us, yes?"

Melda chuckled, shaking her head at him. How romantic of you. She teased lightly. She didn't need to tell him that wooing her was pointless- she was already his. She followed him to the blanket, smiling at the layout before her, turning to face him as he explained what he had set up.
It looks lovely! Thank you so much. Did you happen to bring that wine from that time in the springs, when we first met? She flushed at the memory. Normally she wouldn't bring it up voluntarily, out of character as it was for her, but she really did love that wine. She sat down as he said to relax, patting a spot on the blanket beside her. That sounds like a perfect plan to me. She beamed at him, crossing her legs beside her, the slit in her dress pushed to just above her knee.

"Have to try" he says coyly to her remark about romance. This was a bit of a feel for Melda's tastes in this front, how elaborate to be, what the expectations were. After all he had to sate the woman's whims if their relationship was to advance to it's logical endpoint. The mage then put such thoughts out of his head. Planning ten steps ahead was a day to day thing, but to do that in a relationship probably was less than wise.
"Oh of course, the Paliconian Moscato...I remember that you certainly favored that so I couldn't forget. I got a sixty years aged bottle for tonight." he says as he goes over to the makeshift wine 'cooler' and pulls a dark glass bottle out, conjuring chalices of ice like at the springs that one night before. He pours the wine and offers it to Melda before pouring himself one.
As she gestured to sit, he made his way to her and sat next to her, close enough to be 'intimate' but not smothering her. His eyes briefly traveled to the slit, then he had to scold himself to keep the blood up north for now. "So how did the day treat you, hopefully nothing too crazy."

She giggled, Well I certainly appreciate the effort, but you may be surprised to hear I dont hold incredibly high expectations in my personal life. You dont have to worry. She smiled at him, hoping he didn't believe her to be as calculated and elegant as she was when she was playing her Noble role.
When he responded about the wine, a grin appeared on her face. Oh is that what it is? Very good to know, I've been meaning to find out for a while now. She mused, accepting the glass thankfully, her cheeks mildly flushed at the memory of the last time he'd offered her the ice chalice. As he sat next to her, she felt her heart beat pick up a bit, still giddy that any of this was happening, as cool as she was playing off to be.
Oh it was alright. Meetings all day as usual, but I was finding it a bit more difficult than usual to focus.. something had me distracted all day! she said, feigning a dramatic tone with a shy smile on her face.

"Still going to spoil you"Adrain says drawing a taste of the wine. It was his nature, he had vast assets and a very altruistic nature in general. He smiles as Melda seemed to be enjoying the wine immensely.
While Melda described her day, he held his hands up as a small magic barrier fades in a corner as plates of the meal were floated over in front of them, Melda first. Somehow they were still in perfect condition and fresh as if just now made despite the obvious preparation effort.
The mage chuckled as Melda concluded her statement with a playfully accusing tone. "I wonder why indeed.." he says, tracing one finger from Meldas ankle to just slightly inside the slit of her dress before casually leaning back.

Melda flushed. If you insist.. She mumbled, unable to remove the smile from her lips. As she went on about her day, she watched him lift his hands, curious as to what he was doing. With a plate of food now presented before her, her face flushed with colour yet again- she hadn't been treated this was in over a hundred years!
It looks absolutely amazing... Thank you. She said wholeheartedly, reaching to hold one of his hands briefly. The food looked perfect, nothing she would change- not that she was a picky eater, but he would figure that out in time. As would she with things about him.
Her face grew even darker with colour as he reached to her leg, trailing a finger up her dress before stopping, chuckling with his own comment. My my... She shook her head teasingly, clicking her tongue. Let's focus on the food for now, yes? She arched an eyebrow at him with some false sass, knowing full well she'd picked this dress for a reason.

"Oh, on that front...here." he says, pulling a silk wrapped jewelry box out. Within would be a platinum bracelet with diamonds and sapphires along it, cut in elegant elven shapes and symbols from their culture. The food seemed appreciated, at the very least it was a relief off his back. The thought that Melda might be a vegetarian as some elves are known to be was a worry that he never addressed until it was half too late to do anything about. How awkward would that have been, that she be horrified of meat. Then he mentally smacked himself, having shared meals with her during the trip to her estate.
Overthinking it my boy, over thinking it.
He squeezed her hand as she reached for his and smiled. The reaction to his touch amused him, she was fun to fluster in this sort of way. Despite her scolding, he knew what she thought. "I see a lovely dish I want to eat right now." he says coyly, looking at Melda hungrily to jostle her jimmies before turning to the plate before him, looking at it and sipping the wine for a moment.

Melda took the box from him slowly, surprised by the sudden gift. He really was spoiling her. She opened it carefully, removing the bracelet within as her eyes widened. It was gorgeous symbols she hadnt seen much of living in the Novianan city as she did. Oh Adrain... It's beautiful.. She whispered, putting it on immediately. Thank you so much! She leaned over a bit and kissed his cheek softly, truly happy.
Hearing his next comment, she shook her head with another laugh. Now, we wouldn't want the real food to get cold. She followed his lead, taking a drink of her own wine.
The two would eat, teasing one another like so every now and again, this new and fun vibe around them that they had yet to explore with one another. Once they had finished their meal, Melda would finish off the last of her wine, her cheeks rosy with evidence. So... Any particular reason you chose this location? She pondered aloud.

After the meal, Adrain looked as Melda asked a particular reason. "Call me a sucker for the symbolic or something, but I had the idea to add extra meaning to the place where we first met. Even if the context was far different then, this is where you and I associated with each other for the first time...which in time led to everything with this." he says as he looks at Melda and smiles warmly, putting an arm around her lower back.
"So I figure...a nice meal, a soothing, warming soak to wash away the day's work and well, we'll see what happens." he says coyly, then standing and walking toward the waters. As he took steps towards the waters of the spring, he disrobes bit by bit leaving a trail of attire almost as if teasing the elf, culminating in the swim trunks, the male descending into the water and then sitting along the edge, looking back at Melda.

Melda smiled softly, stunned by his answer. How sweet.. It's a lovely idea, and I do think its working. She replied, leaning closer as he put his arm around her. She quite enjoyed the feeling of contact with him, it was almost like an electric current ran between them.
As he explained further, she blushed again, hearing his hint. Oh really. She laughed lightly as he pulled away, standing and removing his clothing piece by piece as he walked to the water. So thats how he wanted to play it. Melda stood after he was settled in the water, sliding one sleeve off her shoulder, then the other. She reached around slowly to undo the zipper at her back, the dress smoothly sliding off her figure, unveiling a ice blue coloured slip, made from expensive fabrics. She stepped into the water carefully, settling in beside him, waiting to see it he said anything.

The male's eyes slyly shift toward Melda, thankful to see her shimmy out of her lovely dress. The slip underneath was a slight disappointment, but that was probably the south head talking. Once she sat in the water, he would put am arm around her shoulder casually, in no rush right now as his other hand activates something Melda would detect in a magical current.
The waters a safe distance away would animate, floating into the air as if drawn on strings, turning into a current of a stream floating into the air, forming a sphere with numerous currents and strands of water, about ten feet around, ten feet above the water as it begins to shimmer in the colors of the aurorae you might see in the northern reaches, even emitting a faux aurorae.

Melda settled in comfortably, leaning against him lightly as his arm when around her. She sighed softly, the warm water soothing any tense muscles she'd had from the day. Her hair was wet, up to about mid way, and clinging to her shoulders and neck because of it. She felt as Adrain activated some kind of magic, opening her eyes curious to see what it was.
She watched in awe as he manipulated the water to create a beautiful display. It's beautiful... She whispered, leaning her head against his shoulder.

"I'm glad you like it." he says, enjoying Melda's touch and affectionate side. He would for a time sit quietly with his beloved, watching the display with her until the magic from the charged array fades and it slowly falls apart back into the water. After a moment, he speaks softly.
"I'm going to have to emulate the springs such as this when I make an estate on my land in the near future. I hadn't really made that a priority but since there's a pretty strong chance I may have a future with a lovely woman going forward, well I need something a bit nicer than my quarters at the Arch for a lady." he says coyly, looking at her out of the corner of his eye.
"Hopefully that isn't too forward thinking to say." he corrects partially. "I just know I like what I see right now, and well you know, elves are a long investment." he says teasingly as he stroked his fingers along her arm for a moment.
