[Ukilit]

Trinity Kane

Ukilit was exhausted after his long day of absolutely nothing. He had spent most of the day exploring the slums, trying to find anyone of interest or someone that wasn't a desperate pickpocket. After a long day he wanted to try to wash down the boredom with something strong, something like alcohol. Ukilit stopped at the closest bar and ordered a shot of their strongest ale. He was going all or nothing right now, maybe this possession thing would allow him to get drunk, something he hadn't experienced for centuries. Beside him he could hear snickering from the other both sides of him and even behind him. For some reason it felt like everyone was staring at him. Was it the way he dressed? The way he acted? Or maybe it is just the black eyes. Everyone seems to like pointing them out. Ukilit sighed and drank his shot. It was strong....really strong. But he still didn't feel anything. He didn't have much cash so he wasnt going to start ordering more just to see if he could get drunk, instead he sat there listening. Waiting. He was going to play a little game, see which one of these idiots were going to approach him first. 

[Trinity Kane]

Trinity sat at the bar, working on her third shot of whiskey, when she noticed a bored looking man walk in and order a shot of the strongest ale the tavern carried. "Well damn, if someone can handle that type of alcohol, they might be worth my time." Trinity debated getting up and interacting with the man or allowing him to find her and make up his own mind whether or not he wanted to talk to her. She decided to go with the latter and approached the man. She had no doubt that he'd strike up a conversation with her right away. She wore her red dress. It was long sleeved and was red on one side and black lace on the other, the red wrapping around her waist. As she walked towards the man, she swept her long, red hair over her shoulder and swayed her hips from side to side. She stepped in beside him and placed one hand on her hip as she stood facing him. "You look like you could use another drink. Let me buy it for you?"

[Ukilit]

Ukilit look at the woman wanting to buy him a drink. He didn't even need to use his abilites to tell that she was thinking more about getting in his pants than getting him a drink. He sighed and shook his head. "You know what. Fine. I've been trying to get drunk anyway but I think my alcohol tolerance isn't just to high." Ukilit tapped his fingers on the bar...not knowing what to say to the woman. He felt like he might need to tell her he was married but he didn't know if she would even back of fire if he said that. "So...who are you? I don't know you and I don't think many people just go offering drinks. But I'm not dumb and know what you want." Ukilit looked at Trinity, scanning her top from bottom to try and get an understanding of her. Horns told she was likely a demon and from of her first contact likely a succubus.

[Trinity Kane]

"You don't seem too pleased to see me. Let's see what I can do to brighten your mood a little." Trinity gave the man a fake pouty face before quickly changing it to a smile. She then motioned to the bartender. "Keep them coming. I have a feeling we are going to need quite a bit to be able to get this one where he wants to be." When the man asked who she was, she extended her hand. "Name's Trinity, but a handsome gentleman like you can call me Trin." She noticed that the man seemed to look her over, possibly examining her figure. "How do you know what I want? Maybe I just wanted to be friendly and offer you a drink. But, now that you mention it, you don't seem like the clingy type, so maybe I do want something else." Trinity peered at him from underneath her eyelashes, giving him a seductive stare.

[Ukilit]

"I am not pleased when people approach me because I feel unsafe. Your closest friends could stab you in the back if given enough reason." Ukilit still watched the woman, not blinking even once. He listened to her little talk before taking her hand and shaking it. I hope it will be a pleasure to meet you Trinity. You may call me Johnathan or John for short." Ukilit wasn't dumb enough to start giving away either of his names, in case something was watching. "I know people. Their fears, desires. Normally it takes some little...push to figure it out but you are rather open about what you want." Ukilit stared at Trinity with his black soulless eyes, his eyes looking like they could suck the life a soul from looks alone. Ukilit's face however was emotionless, he had no smile or frown, just a blank expression. After a few seconds of staring Ukilit sighed and raised his right hand, showing the ring on it. "I am happily married thank you very much. I haven't betrayed my wife yet and I do not plan to yet."

[Trinity Kane]

Trinity shook Ukilit's hand firmly, not breaking eye contact for a single second. "Johnathon. I like the way that rolls off my tongue. Handsome name for a handsome fellow." She smiled at him, intrigued by his indifferent behavior. "You know desires you say? That must be a nice trait to have. As far as me being forward, when I see something I want, I go for it." Trinity studied Ukilit's features a little closer. She noticed that his face showed no emotion. She sighed, but decided to declare him a challenge. "Well Johnathon, if you are happily married, then why are you here drowning in booze when you could be home loving your wife? It seems to me like you're either A, lying, or B, not happy in the marriage. It seems to me like you could use a night of fun to get your mind off things."

[Ukilit]

Ukilit rolled his eyes at Trin's empty compliments though to her it would still look like he was staring. He continued to listen to what she said and started to get agitated now and as he spoke his voice clearly showed it. "Okay demon, Trinity, what ever you wish to be called. Let us get this out of the way hm? Don't suspect you know anything about me or my motives, I am something you cannot understand. And secondly, my wife is very very dead. Her last words to me were, and I quote, at least we will be together in death my love. And that never happened. I keep myself cleansed so to say as a form of respect and love to my wife. You know nothing of love, only of lust."

[Trinity Kane]

Trinity tried to see things from Ukilit's perspective. She shrugged and decided not to pursue him any further. It was obvious that he wasn't going to change his mind. She decided to change tactics and possibly make a new friend. "You can call me Trinity. I understand, and I won't push you anymore. I may not be the type to engage in such relationships, but I can try to respect those who do. What was she like?" Trinity tried her best to look sincere, and took a seat next to Ukilit, no longer trying to be sexual in any way.

[Ukilit]

Ukilit took a few deep breaths as he calmed down. From what he gathered...she was telling the truth about not pursuing him anymore. He had nothing better to do so he saw no harm in telling Trinity about his wife. "Morgan was the most beautiful woman I've ever met, her hair was as dark as a raven, her eyes were greener than the lush plains. She was only a carpenter then, her products were truly a work of art though. Morgan would do anything, even if it harmed her, to help someone else. That....is how she died........she died trying to save me. And in my arms she said her dying words...." Ukilit spoke softly and tears formed at the edge of his eyes, his voice remained strong however. "The world is cruel and so are the gods. I suppose your smarter than me as you don't get too attached to people. That was my mistake, I got to attached even when I knew how my story would end. All the taunts and the tricks.....all the lies....I start to question what it was all for. After all, in reality we are both just sheep. Getting prepped for the eventual slaughter." Ukilit seemed to be taking to himself now. He shook his head and turned to Trinity. "I'm sorry. I know that is rather grim but it is my experience with the world....." Ukilit watched Trinity...wondering how she's would respond to his sudden rant.

[Trinity Kane]

Trinity listened intently as Ukilit spoke of his wife. Sadness was not an emotion that she felt often, but she felt sorry for the man. "Your wife sounds like a lovely woman. I am sorry to hear that she is no longer with us in this world." Trinity noticed that tears had formed in Ukilit's eyes and she grabbed a nearby napkin and handed it to him. "I've never come to know true love and I am not sure that I ever would. You have experienced something rare and beautiful." Trinity tried her best to comfort him, not knowing if she was saying the right thing.

[Ukilit]

Ukilit grabbed the napkin Trinity gave her, dabbing the bottom of his eyes with it so to remove the forming tears. "Thank you. My wife is one of the few things that makes me emotional like that. Even if you only care for temporary lust but even those that get married rarely have true love. It comes only in the strongest couples. When they would die for each other if it called for it and would give all their material things to be together.....That is what Morgan did. I had nothing.....I was only considered a mad man who spoke of nothing but she still loved me. She gave up everything, her job, her titles, everything to be with me. I tried my best to make myself deserving of her...but in the end I was truly just a nuisance. I had stripped her of everything and then caused her death in the end. I never meant for any of it...but I still feel responsible. She willing followed me but I feel like dragged her into it."

[Trinity Kane]

Trinity continued to listen as he spoke, acting accordingly with her facial emotions. "I am sure that she doesn't think of it that way. If she truly loved you, she would want you to move on. She wouldn't want to see you getting sad and dwelling on the past. She would want you to be happy." Trinity wasn't speaking from experience so she had no idea if what she was saying was true. She tried to put herself in his shoes, but couldn't come to imagine how he felt. She had never loved anyone before. Nobody had ever loved her before, at least not for the right reasons. "I'm sorry if I am speaking out of turn, I just can't bring myself to know how you feel. I have never come close to feeling that way."

[Ukilit]

Ukilit sighed when she said she couldn't understand. "That is quite alright actually. I never expected you to. I've never seen a succubus get too attached to someone. It was how your were made. It's strange, those doomed to die get attached to everything yet those who cannot die seem to never gain that connection. You don't notice that until you gain immortality yourself. You become more distant to others. I may not look the part Trinity but I'm old, very old. Likely older than anyone in this tavern. I've seen the world move on, while I stand unchanging." Ukilit frowned and ordered another shot. "But enough of me. What about yourself? Let's not waste the time darkening the air." Ukilit tried to smile but anyone could tell he was not used to such a thing.

[Trinity Kane]

Trinity was thrown off guard when Ukilit asked her about herself. "Well, despite my looks, I am not young either. I'm 254, which by demon standards I am young, but as far as the human world goes, I've lived my life two and a half times. Trust me when I say that I have understand what you mean. Unfortunately, I don't live a free life and I have spent almost all of it training to be a servant to a royal pain in the ass.. Pretend you didn't hear that." She cracked a smile and even giggled softly as Ukilit seemed to try to smile. Trinity followed his lead and ordered herself another shot and downed it the instant it was in her palm, slamming it on the counter as she finished it.

[Ukilit]

Ukilit laughed as Trinity complained about her royal master. "No no I completely understand Trinity. I am not to found of royalty myself. While we are on this topic, I'm interested to know what you think freedom means? It seems that the definition varies from person to person and I would like to know where you stand on it. Depending on what you think freedom is I might be able to help free you from servitude. I can be quite the "persuasive" person." Ukilit chuckled and twirled an empty shot glass. "Yes I believe this year will mark my sixth century of existence but I'm not sure. After a while years just seem to mesh together." Ukilit shrugged and set the glass down.
