Inner Demons (Trinity)

[Trinity Kane]

Trinity thought for a moment about the question that had just been bestowed upon her. She wanted more than anything to be a free woman, but what did that mean to her? "Well, to me, to be free would mean to be able to live my life figuring out what I could have been. Maybe I could have been a dancer, maybe I could have been a business owner, maybe I could have even found love, as silly as it sounds to me. But, I will never know." Trinity didn't think that Ukilit could really free her, but she remained open-minded. "Unfortunately, my master isn't even home. He went on some trip, that's all my brother told me."

[Ukilit]

Ukilit laughed, "Is that it? If you are free you would have to imagine, you could just do. Allow me to properly introduce myself. *Ahem* I am not Johnathan but my name is truly Rey Bether. I don't know if that name still means anything after so long. Or like most you may call me Ukilit, or seems to be what people refer to me more as. For you, you do not need magic. You just need advice and as one who has seen it all I just am going to tell you don't go back to him. A noble isn't dumb enough to send entire patrols just for a single slave. But again what do I know. I'm only a dead man." Ukilit shrugged.

Trinity chuckled, "I don't think running away is a good idea. My brother would come after me. It's nice to meet you, Rey. Unfortunately, I am not from here, so I do not know who you are, but, maybe I could get to know you, if you'd let me." Her tone was only slightly flirtatious. She really did want to know more about Ukilit, as odd as the feeling seemed to be for her. "Of course, only in a friendly way. You have made yourself very clear that you want nothing more."

[Ukilit]

Ukilit was about to respond when the man behind him spoke up. "Don't listen to a word this man says girly. People who met him call him a snake. All he spouts is lies and empty promises. Bether died because of what he did. What good was a dark army when the gods smite down the one leading it. The fool killed everyone close to him trying to get what he wanted and he died just like them. Leave the snake and get with someone like me, unlike him I don't spout lies like second nature." Ukilit sighed and looked at Trinity "Well then. Pardon me for just one second." Ukilit turned to face the man on the other side of him. "Bravo for learning your history. Maybe next you can learn to talk to women properly. You talk an awful lot......it could get you in trouble. I mean it must have judging how terrified you are of Gyres learning about your little snitch." The man instantly looked at Ukilit "What are you talking about snake?" Ukilit smiled "You know exactly what I speak of. Now how about you leave the lovely lady alone before Gyres learns about your little snitch hm?" The man stared at Ukilit, but slowly showed a glint of fear. He quickly got up and shuffled out the tavern.

Ukilit was silent for a moment before sighing and turning back to Trinity. "Well I suppose theres no avoiding it now I guess. Everything that man said was true, I am a liar and manipulator. I was going to skip the whole army of shadow thing but...that is...also true. And you already know about my wife. That sums up that and honestly I don't expect you to stay after that fiasco. Just know I may be a liar and manipulator, but I was serious about setting you free. I may be called a monster but even monsters have things they can't stand, mine is slavery."

Trinity looked at the man behind Rey as he spoke, then back to Rey. She didn't know what to say, but luckily she didn't have to. Ukilit spoke up and quickly shut the man down. Trinity blushed at the comment of being a 'lovely lady' and watched as the man quickly became scared and exited the tavern.

The awkward silence between them made Trinity shift in her seat and ponder in her thoughts. What was all that about? She then frowned and looked over at Rey with a serious expression her face. "You think that I would leave because you have made a few mistakes in your 600 years of life? Don't forget who you are talking to. I am a demon who manipulates men into sleeping with me for nothing more than a night of pleasure. I am just as much a liar and manipulator as you are. If anything, I admire your courage for telling the truth, even if it was just admitting to something a mere commoner said. You could of just as much said that he was lying and I wouldn't think anything else of it." She sighed and looked at the table, her expression now that of frustration.

Ukilit stared at her for a moment. Surprised that she that is how she responded to that. He looked at her for a moment before placing and hand on her cheek and moving her face towards his, kissing her. It only lasted a few moments before Ukilit realized what he had done. He quickly backed off. "AH! I am so sorry Trinity. I do not know what happened. You just sounded so much......" Ukilit paused for a moment "......so much like Morgan. I don't know what happened. I had never heard something like that, specifically at me, a man who killed thousands for a throne. The only person who would ever said things like that was Morgan. It just reminded me so much of her I think I just thought you were her for a second. I'm so sorry." This had been some of the most emotion Ukilit had given in a long time. Never again did Ukilit think he would here the loving lectures of Morgan, but then Trinity spoke and a part of the long dead Rey Bether came back.

Ukilit was suddenly staring deeply into Trinity's eyes and she couldn't help but smile. Then, before she knew it, his hand was on her cheek and then their lips met. He was kissing her. She returned the kiss gently, but Rey pulled away quickly, making Trinity frown. When he told her that she sounded like his wife, her smile came back. She felt special for a moment, for once not being the one to initiate things. Something came over her and after he apologized, she gave him a sincere and thoughtful face and placed her finger on his lips. She then used her other hand to cup his face and leaned in to kiss him again. Her kiss wasn't forceful, it was sweet and filled with passion, something that was a new feeling to her. Something inside of her told her to grab onto this feeling with everything she had and she put all of that into kissing Rey. When she finally pulled away.. she looked at the ground and whispered.. "I'm sorry.. I just.. wanted to feel like that a little longer.."

Ukilit couldn't believe that Trinity had went back in with another kiss, and even more surprised that he was returning it. He felt something he didn't want to feel, something he tried to steer away from. Bether started to feel love, love for Trinity. He wrapped his arms around her waist and whispered back "Wel...maybe for tonight....we can forget what I said." Ukilit would move back in to kiss Trinity both passionately but also lovingly. It wasn't forceful but it wasn't gentle either. "Would you mind...spending this night with me? I believe the alcohol finally got to me." Ukilit said, obviously and excuse to try and get her to stay. He needs this. Just for tonight her hoped. Then things would go back to normal.

Trinity's cheeks turned a rosy red as Rey leaned in to whisper into her ear. She felt wanted and not just for her body but for her mind. Her thoughts were then interrupted by a passionate kiss, one that she hoped would never end. When Rey asked her to spend the night, she smiled and nodded her head. "Of course." Rey then lead her to a room that he had purchased and they spent the night together, making love to each other for several hours on end.
