Yuki had made it back to her room in record take, throwing her cloak on the bed and pulling the white ribbon so that the dress would fall off her body. Throwing herself on her bed with a big smile on her face she still remember his reaction it was priceless but now she needed to get out of the castle and away from here she knew her mother would be coming to look for her and she didn’t want to be here right now. Pulling open her dresser drawers she quickly changed into her riding outfit pulled her hair into a high ponytail tying it off with a simple white ribbon.



Before she left her room she grabbed her cloak along with her bag, throwing in her tea set along some paper and a piece of charcoal to write with. Leaving her room she made it to the stables without running into either of them quickly mounting her horse she had thought about going for a ride outside of the city but she didn’t believe it would be the greatest idea. Instead she just allowed Aolani ride the air currents as she rested her head on it’s mane relaxing. The wind though her hair helping her relax as she cleared her mind trying to think to figure out where she was going to go.



After just a few hours of gliding on the currents just allowing them to take them wherever they wanted it wanted them to go. Looking down Yuki realized that there were above the moon temple, directing Aolani down they soon landing in the yard. Rubbing her nose she smiled at the horse thanking her and letting her know that she would be call for her and she could just graze for now.



Walking into the temple Yuki went straight to the room that was meant for Ai she wasn’t there to see Gabriel she wanted to see Ai. Seeing the statue a sad smile appeared on her lips as she felt the tears welling up in her eyes, doing her best not to let the tears fall but failing at it completely she curled up under the statue crying her heart out. “Ai...do you think… I am meant for love?” She said in between sobs she wasn’t expecting any answer as she rested her head on her knees giving in to her human emotions of just wanting one person to love her for herself and not what she can give them.

A small breeze ran through the room, warm and comforting. It would feel like it was wrapping itself around Yuki's curled up body, before floating away like it had never shown up. Should Yuki look around, she would find nothing or no one around her. But when she looked back at the statue, it would have a white rose in front of it, inches from where Yuki was.

If Yuki were to pick it up, the rose would turn a baby pink, its petals changing and becoming into the Novian flower known as "Ai's Feathers." A flower often given out by a lover, or someone who wishes to be courted, or court another. A symbol of love, desire, and romance, much like the Goddess herself. Should Yuki decide to not touch it, the flower would slowly turn black and wilt before her.

Yuki lifted her head feeling something wrap around her it was warm and comforting, as she looked around the room she realized that she was still alone. Thinking it was just her imagination she wiped away the tears trying to clear her face of any evidence of crying. Turning her head to look at the statue to thank Ai for listening to her mortal worried when she spotted the white rose. Looking around the room once more wondering if maybe someone was there but she missed them earlier just to see no one was there still.



Reaching out she carefully picked up the flower closing her eyes and she brought it close to her chest, upon opening her eyes she saw that flower was now pink and the petals were that of Ai’s feathers. A small smile appeared on her lips as she looked at the statue. “Thank you Ai… for listening and giving me hope.” A new set of tears started to fall as a few dropped onto the flower.



Her eye closed as she brought the flower close against her chest she wasn’t sure it was Ai who left it but either way she was thankful to whoever it was. Deciding to remain under the statute for a bit longer for a few reasons she wasn’t looking forward to going home and dealing with whatever mood her mother would be in but also because for the first time she felt comforted.

Gabriel was in the temple though not in Ai’s Chambers there was some matters he had to attend to that dealt with the other priests. It was apparently a argent matter so Gabriel had to leave the room unattended for some time. Once he finished he would make his way back. As he was about to open the door he thought he heard some noise. Thinking that maybe someone had went in the chamber he opened the door and walked in.

Once he walked in he would notice a familiar person in the back of the room near the statue Though it did take Gabriel a few moments to notice he realized it as Yuki, though he had to make sure “Yuki? Is that you?” Gabriel said as he moved towards her. Noticing something seemed wrong he picked up the pace before standing next to her “Yuki? Are you okay? What happened?” Gabriel said his staff would be laid next to the podium as he tried to see if she was injuried or anything.

Looking up at the mention of someone saying her name, her eyes were red from all the crying some of the tear streaks were still visible on her face. A small sad smile was on her face as she clinged to the flower the only bit of hope that she had left at the moment. “I had a marriage meeting…” It was the only words she could say without herself falling into another crying fit. She knew that if she started crying again she might not be able to stop and would fall asleep right there in the room with from the exhaustion of all the tears, of her heart breaking from her trying to be strong.

Gabriel went right next to yuki and patted her “not on your own volition it seems. I'm sorry to hear that" Gabriel said as he started trying to comfort Yuki “though it might be out of turn for me to say this but if It's not something that's good for you Then don't do it.” gabriel searched his robes abd pulled out a hankerchief “here Yuki, calm down a bit and we can talk. Remember I’m not Just your bodyguard, I am your friend as Well. And it seems that your problem fits what I'm here for.

Nodding her head she took the handkerchief with her free hand wiping away the tears marks on her face. Her other hand slowly ran over the petals of the flower as a way to calm herself a bit. “You know… I don’t think you should tell me that… I’m meant to marry for the good of my kingdom yet I can’t even bring myself to sit quietly during a marriage meeting.”



Yuki moved closer to Gabriel resting her head on his chest, normally if she had done this with anyone else it would be considered inappropriate but she didn’t think anyone would say anything for the fact that she is talking to the high priest another a manner of the heart and was seeking comfort. “Do you think I ruin any chance I have at finding love because…. I’m not like the other noble girls?”

Gabriel looked at Yuki “I know but compared to anyone else right now, I’m probably the only one here that would be able to say it. As the High Priest of Ai if no one else could say it then I would.” Gabriel patted Yuki’s head lightly “If the meeting was of your own choosing there would be no problems, but if it was of another’s then there is a problem.” Looking at Yuki Gabriel smiled “Don’t be silly Yuki, you not being like other noble girls just mean your unique. You’ll find your love when you least expect it.”

Staying still for a few moments letting Yuki hopefully relax as he continued to speak, “Everything happens for a reason Yuki, if your love is not here now, it will be later on, Don’t fret on it, if you constantly search for it then it’ll elude you.” Looking at Yuki he smiled “come Yuki, the floor is no place for you, if you wish we can have a seat on the chairs as we speak”

Yuki smiled a bit at Gabriel happy that he was being honest with her that it turned out for the best since it wasn’t something of her own planning. Clinging to the flower she lend her head against Gabriel he was her guard but right now he was a high priest of Ai while her own heart was hurting from the pain of maybe being alone for the rest of her life. “I guess being unique isn’t too bad but I still feel that someone would prefer if I was regular female of the court. One that did not have a strong mind of what I want in life.”



Lifting her head from Gabriel’s shoulder she lend back against the wall, her eye closed as her fingers carefully held the flower not to crush it. “I just wish that whoever I am meant to be with would appear in this lifetime.” A small smile was on her face as fell into a light sleep enjoying the calmness that was now in her heart that just maybe in one of her lifetimes she would find happiness and just had to make the best of the current one she has.
