The way that Yuki was abrupt and short, Sage felt like there was definitely more to the story. The whole situation didn't sit right with her. On top of Rieken's punishment, Sage felt that she needed to go talk to the Headmaster about Yuki as well.
At the end of the day, after filing all of her reports, Sage stacked all of her papers neatly and did a quick cleaning of her office. She then grabbed Yuki's file and began to walk towards the Headmaster's office. On the way there, she thought about what Yuki could possibly be hiding. She seemed pretty upset but she did a very good job of hiding it, at least to someone who was not in the business of reading people's emotions.
When Sage approached the Headmaster's door, she knocked twice before opening the door and peeking in. "Headmaster Kaiaru, do you have a moment? There are some important matters that I need to speak with you about."

Adrain was in the middle of looking over some documents, and a copy of the registry from the castle for the past ten years. He was trying to locate certain names and guests but the countless entries made it a time consuming task. When Sage arrived at the door, he closed the book and put the documents away, putting his attention forward to the woman as she entered.
"Yes Sage, please come in." he says, inviting her into the room to take a seat. "What can I do for you?"
Meanwhile, Adrain had been insisting Yuki stay in his quarters after recent events. It was the only time he felt she was truly safe for the moment. Granted the girl had her own tendencies and desires: he wouldn't control her or attempt to.

Sage entered Adrain's office with his permission, Yuki's file hugged to her chest. "Yes, um, I have a couple students I need to discuss with you." She walked to his desk and sat in the chair in front of it. "The first student I came to discuss was a young boy named Rieken. He tried to set a professor on fire. I wasn't sure if suspending him from the team until further notice was an appropriate form of action or if you prefer something else?" Sage sat up straight with her legs crossed. She wore a simple light purple dress with two bows placed on the front of her chest. After giving Adrain a chance to give his opinion on the first student, Sage didn't waste any time moving on to her second case. She looked down at the file in her hands and then looked back up at Adrain. "The next student I wish to discuss," she places Yuki's file on Adrain's desk, mid-sentence, "is Yuki d'Avranches. A note was left on my desk with her name on it and I had a bad feeling about it so I called her into my office." Sage shifted her weight and crossed her other leg. "I asked her if she had anything that she wanted to discuss and she all but ran out of my office. She seemed like she was hiding something and it made me very concerned for her. She seemed like she really needed someone to talk to, but I am assuming that she isn't one to open up to a stranger. Is this a matter I should persue?" Sage gave Adrain a very concerned look and waited for his answer.

Adrain's eyes furrowed as he heared about Rieken. That boy was troublesome, one of the wilder sorts he was trying to reign in to be a responsible male but the possibility of having to fry his mana circuit wasn't off the table. "What damage did he do to the professor? I'd hope he counter-spelled it or otherwise defended himself. In any case, I am going to order a magic suspension bracelet on him for two weeks. If it happens again, I will expel him myself." he says, indicating a zero tolerance for that sort of behavior.
His brow rose when she began to describe Yuki. He wondered who would have left that name on her desk, perhaps one of the morning instructors noted her stressed or lethargic behavior and tried to intervene. He looks at Sage, leaning forward, his eyes briefly grazing her form though a slight red tint manifested on his face and he shook his head briefly.
"Yuki...yes. That is a case I am handling personally. I am not privy to share the details, I hope you can understand." he says. While he respected Sage wanted to help and had faith in her abilities, Yuki was in a bit of a vulnerable mind right now after recent events and he wanted her to have ample time to recover on her own terms.

Sage listened to Adrain's questions and thought for a brief moment about her answers, wanting to sound as professional as possible. "The professor, fortunately, defended himself and took no damage. However, there was an unprepared student in the room who suffered from minor burns. She was sent to a healer immediately and she is okay, but that doesn't change the fact that she was hurt by Rieken's outburst of anger." Sage's concern spread across her face. "I do believe that the bracelet would do good, but we will need to keep a close eye on him for now."
As Sage explained the situation that she encountered with Yuki, Adrain listened with his brow risen. As Sage spoke, she absentmindedly began to study Adrain's features a little too closely. She began to think back to the special moment that they had shared in his office once before. Her face began to heat up and flush slightly. She noticed that Adrain seemed to have a slight rosy tone to his cheeks as well. Was he thinking about her too? Sage shook the thought out of her head. A man like him would never want to be with a woman like her. He was too smart and too handsome to even have the thought occur in his head.
Sage quickly snapped out of her thoughts as soon as Adrain began to speak, his voice like music to her ears. "I see. As you wish, Headmaster. If you need me to intervene at any time, you'll let me know?" Sage was hurt, though she understood that she couldn't help every person that walked through her door. "Is there anything that you needed to discuss with me before I go?"

Adrain nods in agreement with Sage about the first student. He exhales annoyedly. "It's always the fire innates that give me the most trouble. I know the theory that element ties to disposition is debated, but damn if it's not true." he gripes, obviously incredibly annoyed with Rieken. The headmaster seemed to watch Sage's lips, imagining certain things, then has to shake his head again.
"Thank you Sage, maybe Yuki will open up to you if you're patient, but you have to trust me when I say there is much to her story." he says, then pondering when she asked if there was anything else to discuss.
"How are you holding up with your dreams? The Basilisk blood I need for the ring of dreamless sleep has been irritatingly hard to find of late to the point I'm about to blow up on one of my suppliers for wasting my time. In the meantime, maybe I can take you to the ARC for a therapy session where I can try to actively ward off your dreams."
There was obvious concern in his eyes for Sage's well being.

Sage was thrown off by Adrain's question. He wasn't asking about a student or anything going on at the school, he was asking about her! She tried her best to not look shocked and thought about her answer before speaking. "Well, I still don't get that much sleep. I still have the nightmares, but if you are having issues getting what you need, I understand. I have been dealing with these dreams for a long time now, a little while longer won't hurt." Sage was lying through her teeth. She was terrified to close her eyes at night because of her nightmares.
Sage could see the concern in Adrain's eyes and it made her think back to that night. Her cheeks began to turn bright red as the images popped into her head. She tried her best to shut down her imagination, but it was hard to with him right in front of her. Those lips, and those eyes.. She shook her head and took a deep breath. "A therapy session I suppose wouldn't hurt." She tried to keep her mouth in a straight line but the thought of being alone with Adrain more caused a smile to form at the corners of her lips. "What time would you be available for that?"

Adrain raised a brow as Sage protested that it was okay. He shook his head a little. "I don't think so. I am getting increasingly frustrated with the reagent suppliers: Basilisk Blood is a staple in alchemy and it shouldn't be this irritating to get. I'm about to get on a ship to Pherana or something to find a new source." he says, obvious irritation in his voice but he exhales and then smiles softly at Sage.
The reaction was cute if he admitted it, but he had to look away to stop from an inappropriate amount of looking at her features. "Oh okay, good.I can do it tonight, hopefully this can sort itself out with a single session, but I'll do it as much as it takes. Its only fair that you are able to get the rest that you need to, especially if you are going to deal with the Arch's more...irritating students." he says. He smiled faintly, seeing that she was trying to resist her own temptation to blow up in her appearance.

Sage was surprised at how quickly his schedule seemed to be open. "Oh, okay. Tonight would be great. What exactly does this therapy consist of?" She wondered if Adrain would be able to see what she did while she was sleeping. Did she want to put him through that? No, she didn't. She didn't want anyone to have to go through what she did every night. "I suppose you're right. I do need rest. I don't want to come off too irritated with the students. I am a guidance counselor, after all, not a drill sergeant." Sage tried to stay professional with Adrain, but her mind still shot off in all different directions. Her cheeks were still red just thinking about it.

"Essentially, I'll monitor your dreams and then adjust if they start to go on a nightmare track. While in the ARC I can almost completely control it so worst case I can brute force it away with my magic and the control interface." he says, smiling assuringly. "It'll be fine, trust me." he says looking at the young woman warmly in a way that will probably give her the oogly googlies.
"Right, I want you to have a good reputation with the students, I'm supposed to be the big scary headmaster, you're supposed to be the gentle, undrestanding counselor." he says, making a little humor of it and trying to lighten the mood with Sage.

Sage felt a little uneasy about Adrain being able to see her dreams, but decided to go through with it for her own sake. "Ok, Headmaster, you lead and I'll follow. I want to warn you now, though, the things I see are pretty gruesome and not for the faint of heart. I don't want to put you through that if it isn't totally necessary." Sage looked up at him with sincerity. She was very fond of Adrain and respected him greatly. She nodded when he told her to trust him. Then he gave her a look that melted her from the inside out and she could feel herself getting overwhelmed. She took a deep breath, her cheeks turning a slight shade darker than before.
"I hardly find you scary, sir." Sage giggled softly and gave him a warm smile. "I can be pretty scary though, I try my best not to be."

"I am hardly sensitive to gruesome. After fighting at the Siege of Nova a year ago from Helena's minions, not much can phase me." he says, mentally noting that Sage was probably trying to be nice but problems are only solved when faced bravely with resolve, not avoiding the unpleasant details of the reality that was in front. When she made a comment that she herself could be scary, he rose a brow.
"Oh? How could the precious Sage be scary?" he inquired, half teasingly, half serious.
