Melda was walking back to her office; it had been a day of training with Aqua and teaching her regular students so naturally she had plenty of grading to do. She'd given them a test today, on the elements of manna and the basic how to's. She wasn't sure what to except. She walked through the halls, using her Duchess Face on the students as she went by. She wore a gown of deep blues, the overall fabric a a matte colour, decorated with a scale/mosaic feel to it. Across her collar bone was a lovely blue lace floral pattern, covering her shoulders as well. A sheer royal blue cloak dropped down from the lace on her shoulders, covering her arms and back. Her silver hair was pulled back into a bun made of braids, her elven ears sticking out at the sides of her head.
Just like with the castle court, she needed to maintain her respect, so using her Duchess face worked best; it was icy, it demanded respect and fear. Tactics she'd been using since her mother passed; tactics that worked. Not fear in the sense that you worried Melda would stab you in your sleep, but fear that if crossed, she would retaliate.
"Get back to class Jordon." She called across the hall at a boy she knew had another class at the time. With a sigh she shook her head, opening and closing her office door behind her. She walked to her desk, placing the stack of papers down on it, and taking a seat. With a groan her head fell down onto the stack of papers. She did not want to grade these. After a couple minutes, she sighed again, lifting her head and grabbing her quill and getting to work.
