It had been awhile since Kail had placed his items at that shop. He walks down the shop stalls, as he wanted to see other items that might have cought his eye. But none the less though he did not see anything. But the blond was browsing some of the food stalls and was looking for some fresh fruits and vegies. He was thinking of getting a few things to make for dinner. Yes it may have looked like he was doing something that would be regulated to a woman's job. But he came from the modern world. And knew somethings that most of the normal people did not know of. Even then the blond stuck out due to the fact he was wearing clothes from his world. Then those of Nova or in a fantasy setting.

Matilda walked quietly through nearly the same street. She, too, stuck out from her gender norm. She did enjoy baking, but she also liked to farm, which was odd from what she understood of the world. A girl farmer. Yep, certainly a bit odd.
She noticed a friendly-looking blonde and quickly walked over, hoping to make a new friend in her new vicinity. She had only just recently moved in.
"Hello, there! What's your name?" She giggled with a smile. She had a box of cupcakes, betraying her profession.

Kail blinked several times when a redhead had ran up to him and saw the cupcakes. "Er hello there, I'm Killian Lancaster" he said speaking to the girl. She looked about his age and a bit shorter then him. "And who are you miss" he asked with miss. The girl was a bit odd for him. But she looked nice and was being friendly. He knew that this girl was peasant or a farm girl. Just from how she was dressed which was not a problem with him. Perhaps making another friend would make his life a lot better in this world.

Matilda smiled widely. "My name's Matilda, but you can call me Mati if you'd like." She lifted up her cupcakes. "You want some..." Her voice trailed off and her smile fell. She suddenly seemed troubled- Deeply troubled. As though something just connected in her head and she didn't like it one bit.

Kail watches the girl as his mind was thinking some very provocative thoughts as Mati waved that cupcake around. He mentally slapped himself several times to get the dirty thoughts out of his head. The blond sees the redhead's smile fell and something was really really off. "Uhm......I would like to have one. And are you ok Matilda" he asked and was not sure if the girl was going to freak out. But he could handle anything that came his way. He helped to slay a freaking dragon. A child compared to a real one but none the less still a major feet for someone that was not from this world. Although he was fated and perhaps seeing that he was a fated person. It might have changed things for the farm girl.

A few thoughts went through Matilda's head in the silence she held. She stared at the man for a while, her expression turning graver and graver.
As if at the flick of a switch, she suddenly pulled out a knife; She always carried it around, since it helped when she cooked from scratch. But now, she looked about ready to stab him through the eye.

Kail sees the girl's face getting paler until he saw a flicker of movement. He then sees a knife being pulled out on him. He stays calm "So whats the matter, I don't bite. Tell me whats wrong" he asked wanting to not turn this into a fight. One it may not look good on him and two, he did not want to fight the girl. Even then if she did attack he would go for a quick disarm. But hoped that diplomacy would win in the end, since he did not want to place a scratch on her cute face.

For a moment, Matilda didn't speak a word; she simply stared at him, squeezing the handle of her knife indecisively. She looked him up and down briefly, then smiled a little bit. "Nothing," She said very softly, leaning a little bit closer, angling the knife so it was pointed toward his arm.

Kail still eyes the knife in her hand and tries to be calm again "Oh I am sure" he said and was thinking of what to do. "So how much are you selling those cupcakes" he asked since that it was the best way to disarm the situation. But if the girl did attack him, he would disarm her quickly since he had a bit more experience in combat and fighting. As he did slay a dragon, and the blond did fight off bandits.....well without the others. This was not a good stand off as it could either way, since this girl obviously had something wrong in her head. Or some other reason for Mati to act really weird and murderious towards him. The reasons could be many but there was something wrong here.

Mati watched him maliciously. "An arm and a leg." She smiled and laughed, assuming her joke was funny. "No, not really. Not too much. What do you have?" She lowered her knife a little, hopefully a sign she was calming down.
