(As it is now)
Way far out deep into the Forever Forest, a good day’s journey into the treacherous forest, lays the ruins of what might have been a small village once. But it had been greatly ravaged by time; the forest had reclaimed most of the buildings reducing them to just former shells of their foundation. There was some scattered debris, such as wood, pottery, some of which wasn’t broken, and much more. At the current time all of this was buried under layers of snow. What was visible was the remnants of a stone wall here and there surrounding the large area. If one walked further in the thick forest would open up to a good sized clearing. Pieces of what once was a wooden fence ran around the clearing, either broken away or covered in vines. A good sized cabin also stood in the clearing, one of the only buildings to still have a roof; the roof seem fairly new and well made. The small cabin had a few windows, some of them even stained glass in hues of red and orange. The front door had been repaired, a thick wooden door with black wrought iron handles. Flower boxes bloomed with herbs and colorful flowers that spilled out. In fact flowers seemed to burst in a thick but wild garden. The crown jewel a wisteria tree that climbed up the side of the building. Not too far off the earth dropped into steep incline where a good sized brook tumbled down in a small water fall. The water tumbled into a small pool before it continued on its path through the forest. On the other side of the cabin a small out house was also situated. A small broken down stable was also on the property, it was slowly being repaired, and had been cleaned of debris. It was usable, just not very nice looking at the moment.
When you walk in to the cabin you would be met with one large room; the wood floors had been scrubbed and cleaned of years of debris, were restored to its natural old shine. The floor boards were a deep walnut, and covered most of the entire cabin; the floor only changing when coming across a large stone hearth towards the right side of the cabin. The large stone hearth held a large spot for a cooking fire, a hook meant for holding a pot to cook food was already built in. In the large fire place a large oven was also built and surprisingly in good condition. It was also recently cleaned to its original shine. Above the hearth a large black twisted horn hung, slowly turning a deep red at the tip, was carved out to form a twisted musical instrument. It hung from a silver chain. In front of the hearth two very well crafted chairs sat, curiously these chairs also had a vine pattern chiseled into the wood. Off white cushions were sewn and tied to the chair for comfort. The chairs were positioned next to a large chest that had an off white cloth draped across it, a curious object placed under a small glass dome. It was an ornament someone would wear in their hair, covered in wild flowers that continuously seemed to bloom, die off, and bloom again in turn.
The kitchen which continued on from the hearth, wrapped around the corner and to the door, freshly crafted cabinets with small vines carved into the edges hung neatly along the wall. Under them a large solid dark wood counter space with a dug out spot for a place to poor water to do dishes was also placed. Right above the sink lay two large stained glass windows, the windows open allowing fresh hair to stream into the house. On the sill bowl of seeds lay, free for passing birds to take there fill.
The rest of the lower floor of the cabin was relatively bare there was relatively good sized table that could seat four or five. It currently was covered in maps, lists, knick knacks, couple of daggers….obviously this was Arias main dumping ground. There were two wooden benches for the sides of the table along with two cushioned chairs at the end. They were deep red in color, and was Arias main spot to sit when working on projects. Above this table hung a newly crafted chandelier made from antlers, holding a good amount of candles. Another set of large windows domed out, with a bench built right in. It was a nice little reading nook that had off white cushions and two small dark red pillows. Under the bench drawers were built in. Not too far away from this was a trapped door, sealed for now.
Over this section of the house, a loft was visible. A ladder started from just behind the chairs by the hearth and lead up to the cozy space with slanted ceilings. A small diamond shaped window letting in light. A good sized bed lay in the middle of the room, with fresh off white linen, and a colorful patch work quilt done up in the colors of fall spread across the bed. Two small night tables sat on either side of the bed, one had a candle that was obviously quite used. The other had a pot of white flowers that seemed to spill out of the pot and down the side of the dresser. The little white flowers glowed in the dim light that was up in the loft. A dresser was also neatly tucked away, towards the left side of the loft. The dresser made out of wood and like the rest of the furniture in the house the vine theme continued. At the foot of the bed was another good sized chest, this one however had a lock on it.
