The early afternoon sun beat down on the area. The tall buildings surrounding Tres made her feel very small. After staying in the cabin for some two weeks, she grew used to the seclusion, darkness and learned to enjoy the blissful quiet. However here there was a sense of belonging. Every building had its specialty, and there you could see the passion pouring out of the front doors. Tres felt intimidated by this idea of belonging, and the hustle of it all made her feel rushed and insecure.
However she also felt empowered. At this point, Aria helped Tres to conceal her wings with manna. She couldn't see what she looked like without them, however to other's she appeared as normal as she could be. As long as she didn't bump into anyone with her wings, they would remain concealed. She would have an object with her as the subject of her concealing manna.
Both her and Rivers had arrived there by means of his tunneling from the cabin. Tres was quite excited to be there with Rivers. It presented her the opportunity to get to know him and Teair. Tres couldn't contain her nervous energy, so in an attempt to, she played with the fringe of the dress given to her by Rivers and rocked back and fourth on her heels. She looked at Rivers and smiled "So, where to first?"

As Tres and Rivers step through the tunnel, onto a roof where no one is looking Rivers takes a deep breath and smiles. "Whew~ it's nice to be out in the city air again and out of that cramped hut." He declares and smiles as he spreads his arms wide and announces. "Welcome to Teair!" Rivers had not bothered with the stone trick when he brought Tres here showing that he could create the tunnels without those rocks he always threw before making them normally.
Rivers this was one of the first times Tres would see Rivers without his coat on, instead he was wearing a black vest and tan shirt underneath it. He wore long black cotton pants that matched the ensemble, he raises his hand in a flourish and says. "Well then my love lady, would you allow me to accompany you today? I promise not to leave you bored." He offers with a grin as he turns the flourish into a bow and then extends a hand towards her.
Rivers demeanor seemed relatively unchanged, but with the back drop of the busy city live he seemed to blend in more, as if this was closer to his natural habitat. If Tres took his hand he would lean down and softly kiss her hand before leading her down a nearby set of stair and out into the street. "Right now, we are in the merchant district, this is probably the busiest place in the city, and if one of the best places to go if we want to purchase things." He explains and with a twinkle in his eyes he makes a sweeping motion towards a long line of stores.
"And that is our first objective." He says and takes a full purse out of a pocket it could not have possibly fit in and bounces it in his hand before putting it away. "I have procured some 'war funds' for today, so you do not need to worry about things like expense. We should pick you up a variety of stuff, some additional changes of cloths, your own batch of traveling and toiletry supplies, and some trinkets that you like. humans carry odds and ends with them, so if you wish to blend in we should get you a few things you like." He suggests, taking her hand and leading her towards the stores.
"So where would you like to go first?" He asks her curiously.

The tunnel was an interesting experience, while they were in there Tres almost reached for Rivers' hand, it was a tad overwhelming for a first-time tunneler. However this ability was nothing short of amazing to Tres. But the most amazing part of this, was seeing Rivers in his element. Tres could most definitely see a difference between him in the cabin and him within the city. Here he looked free. His dressing matched thus of the busy-bodies around them. He looked rather handsome, his dressing fit him well-he looked elegant. Tres fell shy in comparison to him, wearing the dress he gave her. Though, she shone when the light hit her white dress.
Tres followed him closely, smiling when he announced their arrival to Teair. She gave a wide, toothy smile to him when he called her lovely. When he extended his hand to her and bowed, she shook her head. She couldn't believe the difference between the Rivers in the crowded cabin, and the free frolicking Rivers in the city. He was very open. When he offered her his hand, she laughed and shook her head. Shen then took hold of his hand, curtsying as she did so. "It would be my honor." When he kissed her hand, her smile was replaced by flushed cheeks and wide eyes. She swallowed hard and then began laughing again. Holding his hand, she would lift his hand so that he would spin her around so she was on the opposite side of him. "I better not be bored." She teased as they would begin walking.
As Rivers explained the humanoid lifestyle, Tres listened attentively. But she couldn't help but allow her eyes to wander. She observes the hustling people, picking up defining features from each person. Then she looked at the details of the buildings. The architecture was beautiful. Well suited to the busy life-style of the city.
She watched as Rivers pulled out a purse and displayed that she may purchase at her will. She smiled. She didn't necessarily want anything, however it would be nice to look- and get the essentials as Rivers explained. She laughed when he spoke of knick-knacks. She didn't understand the obsession with small objects, however she couldn't say anything since she was so attached to her gold cross.
She looked around the plaza. Then at Rivers. She smiled a large toothy grin, "At this moment..." she paused then laughed under her breath "Good Gods I don't know where to start. Where would you recommend, you are the expert out of us two." She pulled at his vest in a teasing motion. Then looped her arm around his, in waiting for their shopping destination.

As Tres turns bright red Rivers, grins, obviously enjoying the reaction. "Well, if worst comes to worse, we can always fall back and flying around the city, I might not be able to help you with the whole wings thing, but I have a trick of two of my own." He replies merrily as he leads her down the stairs.
"By the way do you sing or dance?" He asks Tres curiously, as he looks in the windows of each of the shops they pass by, he seemed to be trying to figure out where to start, Rivers would usually just head towards a large center of people and start playing his lute or performing, but it had been a very long time since he'd taken someone out like this...how long had it been? He found himself wondering, of course he did not count Aria for any number of reasons, but at Tres held onto his arm, he found himself enjoying the sensation of a girl on his arm.
Geh, I'm acting like a pubescent teenager. He realizes, well it had been a while since he'd actually tried to get to know someone instead of simply bantering at them, maybe that was part of it. Though as he looks down at Tres some part of him cringes a bit trust and innocence, two things that should never be placed in the hands of a shifty bard such as I. He finds himself thinking, wondering who he was lecturing.
Though as he was thinking they came to a shop that he recognized, it was a silver shop and he nodded his head as he looked at it. He'd come here once or twice to pick up pieces for his stories, particularly silver shavings, which cost him an arm and a leg. "Well why don't we start here, I don't really know your tastes, so just take a look around." Rivers nodded to the man behind the counter and walked over to talk to him, letting Tres look around the merchandise.
The man behind the counter asks Rivers something with a grin and a bit of a leer at Tres and Rivers seems to replies back with something that caused them both to chuckle a bit and the man to shake his head.

Tres tilted her head to the side, pondering flight. It had been so long since she had last flew. However she was unsure of the outcome of her flying, since she no longer had her third wing for balance and for steering. She knew of many angels who simply had two wings, however she was more agile than they, with the ability to make swift turns and fast flight- since she possessed the third wing. She shook her head, steering away from flighty thoughts "I think I'll stick to the ground. I'm not fit for flying any time soon." Rivers would be the only one who could still see her wings, since manna was creating a cloak around them so that she would not stand out.
When Rivers asked Tres about singing or dancing, she smiled wide. "But of course. All angels have the ability to sing, typically we sing Hymns for the Gods and Goddesses." She paused for a moment to break out in laughter. She let go of her hold on Rivers' arm for a moment, to do a small dance in a circle around him. She ended back with her arm looped around his, then continued. "However not all angels can dance. Some of us have been graced with two left feet." she looked up at him, her eyes smiling back at his "I was fortunate enough to have been taught by many a cherubs the delight that is dance. Though I never had to do it."
Tres paid no mind to the fact that she was walking arm in arm with Rivers. She was simply mimicking the people surrounding her, couples walking arm in arm. She didn't want to stand out and have it seem as though she were out of place. Though she did enjoy being close to someone. She had never done something like this; she had never been escorted by a gentleman. It only seemed fitting that her first time would be with the experienced Rivers. She looked up at him, tossing her hair to the side and began "Do you folly with singing and dancing? Or perhaps do you play an instrument? Anything pertaining to the arts?" Tres was particularly interested in culture, as well as people's interests. It only seemed fit that she ask Rivers as he asked of her.
When they came across the Silver shop, Tres immediately knew what it was. She knew metals very well, and she could certainly smell the metallic air from outside the shop. However, Silver wasn't particularly her favourite metal. She went in following behind Rivers, ensuring her wings didn't knock anything over. She did so with ease. Tres watched as Rivers acknowledged the man behind the counter. He seemed to know him well, so he must be familiar with the store. Tres continued over to the shelves on the opposite side of the store, there she saw an array of silverware and of tea sets. She tilted her head at them, seeing her reflection in the shining silver. She smiled at herself, and ran her fingers through her hair. She bent down and peered closer at the silver, but was then stopped when she looked over her shoulder to see Rivers and the store clerk chatting, and it seemed to be something pertaining to her. She stood up and turned around with swift sassy-ness. She rested her hand on her hip and said "Pardon, I didn't quite hear that. Try and be a tad louder next time." she gave a sassy side smirk to Rivers as she walked over to the other side of the shop.
On the other side of the shop, she found an array of jewelry that peaked her attention. She looked at some of the rings, then her eyes fluttered over a selection of pendents on silver chains. She admired them closely. Rivers would notice that she was peering at one pendant in particular.

"Tres, I think the flights we are talking about are a bit different. To sail upon the wind and to dance upon it are two very different things." He tells her with a smile and a wink before sweeping along and leaving her to try and figure out what he was talking about. Rivers was a bit to silly to create a real air of mystery, but he was generally pretty good at raising eyebrows.
Though he stopped and rested a hand on his chest when Tres asked him if he sang or danced. "Well while I admit to not being the greatest singer of the bards, you are speaking to a man who has made a living across five worlds sheerly through my ability to sing, dance, tell stories and perform." He announces in a boisterous fashion. "I am a bard after all, to preform and preform well is one of my greatest purposes in life. That and to archive the stories of heroes."
After he announces this though he smirks at her. "Well all of this being said, I am always looking for attractive fellows to help me raise my popularity, you'd be amazed what an attractive singer or dancer can do for one's tips in the second district." He admits with a bit of a laugh. He had to admit, that if she was as good as she was suggesting and with her looks she might actually end up more popular than he was if she turned to barding, at least among the younger crowds. Was best to befriend your competition early after all. "Though as for my actual performing, I can play anything with a string and am a consummate teller of stories." He explains as he looks her over aporaisingly.
When they entered Rivers noticed that she did not seem particularly excited, "not much for silver? Well if you don't find something you like we can go somewhere else." He assures her with a smile as they enter and he wanders over to talk to the man behind the counter. When she tells them to speak a bit louder and cheshire smile spreads across Rivers' face and he says in a voice that would carry. "No, I have not known my pretty friend over there for that long, and I am sure your wife would be exstatic to meet her at some point." He continues.
Though as he sees her eying the pendant he points at it and the man gets it and hands it to him. Rivers walks over to her and positions her so she can see her reflection in a polished silver serving platter. "Would you like some help or do you wanna do it yourself?" He asks her holding up the necklace.

Tres quickly understands what Rivers was attempting to trick her with. She shakes her head at him and smiles. "It'd be quite difficult to do either at this point. But it seems easy for you to dance on wind." She walks up behind him and gives a playful tug at the tails of his coat. If Rivers turned around, he would notice Tres standing on her toes, with her arms behind her back with a smile that says "What, I didn't do anything".
She then walks around him and faces his front. When he speaks of being a bard, she claps lightly, amused with his talents. When Rivers refers to attractive fellows, she blushes. She turned around, flipping her hair as she did so. She then walks slowly away, and coy-ishly says "Are you referring to my appearance when you discuss that attractive beings attract a crowd?" she looks over her shoulder at him and waits for an answer. When he responds she faces him and says "I would love to see this Bard in action. You speak so highly of your performance, and as you know, an attractive performer attracts a crowd. How large of a crowd can you draw?" She continues, skipping backwards as she does so "I just want to hear your infamous stories and melodic tunes, as well as see if your two left feet can move." she smiles, then enters the Silver shop.
"It is not necessarily my metal of preference, however we can still look." she adds after Rivers sees her discontent with the metal. When she was in her sassy stance, and she heard Rivers' reply, she laughed and shook her head, making her way over to the counter where the pendants were. She looks Rivers in the eye, and with a raised eye-brow she mentions in a whisper "So, external appearance is appealing to you?" she laughs quietly, the looks to the store clerk "I'm sure I'll have the chance to interact with your wife some other time. For now, I am at the will of this gentleman." she grabs onto Rivers' bicep and gives it a gentle squeeze.
When the pendant is revealed to Tres, and Rivers offers his assistance, Tres willingly accepts. She turned around, lifting her large waterfall of locks so that her bare neck was exposed to Rivers.

Rivers shrugs his shoulders as Tres mentions his ability to dance upon the winds. "It is a skill I traded a great deal away to learn from a very old friend, but it has served me well throughout the years." He admits though when she tugs him and he spins around he raises an eyebrow, then Tres would feel a finger run up her spine between where her three wings would have met, and he smirks at her.
Though he finds himself laughing when she asks if it is her she was referring to when he mentions someone lovely attracting a crowd. "I do not believe you are so modest as to not be aware of your own beauty." He chuckles in a friendly nature, continuing to walk along beside her.
Rivers can't help but grin as she begins to play up his performances and shakes his head. "Well in that case it is best to leave you in suspense to let the desire build."
When she asks him if external appearance appealed to him Rivers blinked for a moment, the thought process she was presenting was not a common one in this world. But he nods at her with a slightly contemplative expression. "Appearance is by no means the only thing that appeals, but at least for me it certainly plays a factor. Personality, looks, talents are all things we are born with, but certainly play a roll when talking about appeal."

Tres' back arched at the finger on her back, then she winced- the skin in that area was tender still. She offered him a wide smile then pulled away from him and continued walking.
She looked back at Rivers, skipping as she did so. "Angels are aware of beauty, however we don't recognize it as a necessary trait. Combat, defense, an appreciation and execution of the arts, healing, playfulness, survival skills- all things we do appreciate and recognize. I am aware of my beauty, but it's nice to know someone else recognizes it." she did a quick twirl, her skirt making a bubble around her as she spun. Looking back at Rivers, she gave him a sly wink, then continued forth.
When Rivers left her in suspense with his artistic abilities, she faced him and moved closer to him. "Are you forcing me to be a lady in waiting?" she laughed while shaking her head "Isn't there a square,or a bazaar where I could see you in your prime?" she grinned with eager eyes, wanting nothing more than some time to let loose and dance and sing.
In the store, she walked slowly. In response to Rivers Tres playfully replied "I am happy to hear that you do not simply folly yourself only with appearance. If that be your only standard, then you would be setting yourself up for many limitations." She turned to face him then walked back to the counter, looking at the store clerk she lifted the chain from around her neck, looking at Rivers she said "Would we be able to get the pendant and chain?" she batted her eyelashes to sweeten the deal. Then laughed at herself.
After the decision is made about purchasing the pendant, Rivers and Tres would be leaving the store, Tres looked at Rivers and asked "Alright then, what would you define as 'Appealing'?" using air quotation marks as she spoke.

As Rivers listens to her reply on the angels opinion of beauty he nods a few times and then says. "Well, I think you'd better get used to the fact that beauty is something that is valued, all the more when it is coupled with innocence and charm." He replies and then grins "But I can assure you as someone who has indeed seen many people that you are definitely attractive. Top five percent at least, probably better." He admits with a laugh.
"That being said, those values are stinted," a his expression darkens slightly as he says "granting great credence to someone because they are adept at hurting others is foolish. I never understand those who lust for combat."
His darkened mood passes almost instantly and the next moment he was grinning again, the grin grew even wider as they began to talk about his arts. Though her comment about a 'lady in waiting' made him laugh and he steps closer and softly takes her hand. "I would never leave you a true lady in waiting, and if you are, I shall come for you in the instant." He tells her raising her hand and lightly kissing her fingers before releasing her. His constantly changing mood and actions made it difficult to tell how serious he was about any given statement.
When asked regarding the pendant in the shop he quirks and eyebrow and says. "As I told you, we are here for you, if you want it you shall have it milady, though do not let that stop you from trying to entice me." He jokes though deciding he was at this point laying it on a bit thick, he simply bows.
When she asks him about appeal his reply was simple. "I find appeal in physical beauty, strength of character, and mastery of skill. There are other things that also play into it, but the sum of it is that everyone loves a dynamic hero or heroine, I am much the same."

Tres laughed, "I'd like to take a moment to recognize that I may be in the top 5 percent, as you say, simply because I am angelic. Typically those of ethereal creation are made to be... beautiful." As Rivers goes onto confess his antipathy of the art of combat, Tres felt herself draw nearer to him; to his soul really. "To be frank, I don't comprehend it either." she looked at her feet, kicking up dust lightly- showing her shame in herself. But the shame quickly subsided as she recognized he was opposed to violence as well. "I ensured that I kept my combat training strictly for defense." she laughed at herself now, "This is why Helena be-rid herself of me."
She felt her hand slip into Rivers' as he took it upon himself to kiss her hand. She turned a completely different shade of rouge, feeling the gentle touch of his lips against her fingertips. She let him show this public display of... what seemed to be affection to her. She let her hand glide away from his lips, she had difficulty reading this one. Though his emotions appeared scattered, she felt she could eventually read this man.
When he confirmed her question in the shop, she looked to the shop keep and watched as he would put it into a box of some sort. She would grab the box, looking to Rivers to pay, then when that would be finished, continue outside.
"So you look for strength in skill, character. And for confidence in self- which is a natural attribute of a hero or heroine." She ran her fingers around the edges of the box she had at hand, "I can understand the appeal of that." Tres' eyes wandered about the other stores, and they landed upon a clothing store. She noticed the brightly coloured fabrics, and drew to them like an insect to lights. She looked at Rivers, linked arms with him, then pulled him towards the store. He would notice that she is surprisingly strong for how small her stature is.
