Lilith looked around in awe, only ever having been in the castle once for a winter ball months ago. Though, then she'd been drunk, so it was like she'd never been there at all. Blinking, she continued walking- She needed to find Roland. She roamed for a moment, but knew it would only waste time, so she stopped the first person she saw.
Excuse me, can you direct me to wear I might find Roland? She spoke softly and couldn't look the man in the eyes, but her tone was firm.
"Just keep going straight and up the stairs. Should be around here somewhere." With that the man left, and Lilith blinked again, sighing and walking forward. "Around here somewhere" wasn't exactly the specifics she needed. She went up the stairs and looked around- Finding him seemed to be a struggle no matter where she was looking for him- the castle or the school.

Aveline looked up from her papers when she heard footsteps. Much more people than usual were coming to see Roland now, in the aftermath of what happened at the gallows. A smile came over the young woman’s face when she saw the other woman though, standing from behind her desk. Aveline was dressed finely, clearly like a noblewoman, with her hair intricately braided back. “Are you looking for Captain Walker?” she asked, walking around the desk. She folded her gloved hands in front of her, smiling still. “I am his assistant. What can I do for you?”

Lilith smiled shyly and shook the woman's hand, happy to have someones help. She was stunning, looking far more important than an assistant, but Lilith didn't question it. Yes, I am, thank you. I would like to speak to him about joining the Mage Guard...thing. Uhm, I'm a healer, and would like to add my assistance if possible. She couldn't maintain eye contact, far to skittish in this moment, She shifted her feet, and pulled on the sleeves of her dress with her fingertips. The shy smile remained on her face, for she was not uncomfortable, just nervous.

Aveline took the woman’s pale hand, shaking it. She smiled softly at the shy young woman, nodding. “Oh, that’s wonderful!” she withdrew her hand, gathering her skirts up with a hand and gesturing for Lillith to follow her. “Healers are always welcome, I’m sure he’ll be pleased to see you.” she looked back, eyebrows raised suddenly. “I’m afraid I didn’t get your name. I am Aveline Zoe. How long have you been a practiced healer?”

Lilith shook her hand, surprised by how open the woman was. Her energy was almost contagious, and Lilith found herself smiling because of it-- people with her type of enthusiasm always made Lilith feel good. Lilith followed her immediately, happy that the woman could help her once again. I sure hope so-- It's been a little while since I last saw him- She broke off, going over the list of books that he had assigned her in her head. She wanted to make sure she'd read them all incase he'd asked. As far as she could remember, she was safe.
It's a pleasure to meet you Aveline, my name is Lilith Harmonia... I've been healing since I was an early teen, though it was just recently that I learned the proper way and techniques. She shrugged lightly, happy with how far she'd come-- she wasn't amazing by any means, but she could certainly hold her own.

“You know Captain Walker?” Aveline started to walk towards the second door behind her. She smiled back at Lilith.
“That’s a lovely name. What would you prefer me to call you? And how old are you now? You still look rather young.” Aveline opened the door and leaned in, calling out for Roland.
“Captain Walker, there’s a Lilith Harmonia here to see you. A healer, looking to join the Mage Guard.” she turned and held the door open for the young woman, nodding. “Please, come in.”

He looks up in annoyance when Aveline knocks but lets out a sigh an calls. "Come on in, and bring the applicant." As he continues to scribble away.
Roland sat behind his desk in much the same way he had when Lilith and he had first met, though a couple of things had changed. First Roland had even more paper in his office than last time, in fact he's started stacking it on the floor since he couldn't fit it in piles on his desk. Roland had taken over the administration of the city guard for Garrett's recovery and had found them horribly behind administratively.
The other major difference is that Roland looked healthier, as opposed to the shriveled husk she'd met in the library Roland was now almost back to his proper weight, and he'd slept for a whole 6 hours the previous night. While he was still pale as a bone and somewhat disheveled he now looked more grizzled than withered.
After both enter Roland looks up and rubs his eyes a bit. "Aveline, I finished untagngling the casualty roster from the incident at the gallows. I would like the death wage to be paid to the families in these documents." He says signaling at some papers on his desk and then stopping. "Actually, before that, stick around for this."
He gets up and carefully navigates around the papers on the floor his coat accidentally knocks some off the stack and he curses raising a hand forming the scattered papers into a new stack with his magic. When he finally manages to make it to the door he looks at Lilith and nods. "Oh it's you," he says in a tone of recognition, then he sweeps past her and places a hand on her back.
Lilith would get the same sensation from the last time he had checked her channels and after a few moments he lets go an nods. "Looks like you're doing better, though you've strained yourself recently, be careful with your magic for the next few days or you might end up hurting yourself." He instructs before walking to the front of his desk and leaning against it.
"We're going to conduct a quick interview and then we'll have an aptitude test...well I suppose we can skip that for you given your current condition. I think I know approximately what you can do magically." Then he turns to Aveline. "Why don't you start us off Aveline, I'll leave the first round of questions to you."

Lilith nodded, Yes, I met him a couple of weeks ago. He taught me how to use my magic properly. She smiled sweetly, And just Lilith is fine, I'm twenty-three.. She blushed, knowing she looked younger than she was and stepped through the door. Her purple eyes wandered the room, taking in the mess before her. It was far worse than last time, and she was rather unsure as to how he managed to work in such an environment. Finally, her eyes landed on Roland, and noticed the difference from last time-- he seemed better off than before, not as exhausted. Lilith waited quietly in the doorway while he gave instructions to Aveline, who looked like she must have to be quite patient with him when he got annoyed.
She blinked in surprise as a stack of papers fell, only to be magically put in place once more as the man walked towards her. Without warning, he once more placed his hand against her back, and she felt that stomach twisting feeling. It wasn't bad, but it was uncomfortable to describe. She held her breath until he was done, still not fond of the contact.
Yes, thank you. I've been doing as you asked, but recently, there was a large amount of people who needed healing... As you probably know. She gestured around the room, implying about the incident at the Gallows. She stayed by the door, not wanting to walk in and accidentally knock over something important.
I can answer anything you need me to, though you are correct, you know the most of my abilities, though I should inform you, I can do earth magic as well. I'm still practicing, but so far vines and my best thing. She shrugged shyly, remembering she'd never mentioned it before.

Aveline reached over to take the papers from Roland's desk but paused, looking over to him. Stick around? For what? A sudden sort of fear struck her at his request- interview? What was she supposed to ask? She paused, shifting uncomfortably, and sat.
"Ah, well..." She paused again, then looked to Roland with clear apprehension. "I don't know what I'm supposed to ask." Aveline admitted quietly, twisting her fingers together in her lap. She had never interviewed anyone in the past and her indoctrination to this job had been… well. Just one question. She bit her lip and looked back to Lilith, smiling gently.
“Why would you like to work for his Majesty?”

Lilith shifted her gaze from Roland, to the young woman by his side. It was clear she was nervous, and Lilith could tell Rolands decision to have her ask the questions was new to her. Lilith smiled softly, knowing how she must feel, and waited for her to ask what she would. Once the question had been stated, Lilith looked down, contemplating the answer. Uhmm... well. I suppose working for the king wasn't in the front of my mind when I made this decision... To be honest, I hadn't related the two things in my mind at all. I wanted to join because it would potentially mean I could share my healing powers with anyone who may be in need of them. She shifted on her feet, a small blush rising in her cheeks.
I suppose that answer may not help my case, but working for His Majesty certainly isn't a bad thing, not by any means. She rushed to make amends, not wanting to offend either of them.
