APPEARANCE: Garza is a large, imposing figure of a man. Standing at 6' 4'' tall, he is made of almost pure muscle, which ripples down his biceps and forearms. He has broad shoulders and a large chest, with well defined abs. His face is usually set in a stern grimace or frown, and he has piercing blue eyes that always seem to be in a set glare. Underneath his gauntlets, his knuckles are callused and worn from years of training and fighting with his fists. His hair is grey from a combination of his age as well as the stress involved with his job, and he has lines under his eyes for the same reason. His hair is styled in short spikes, kept well maintained, and he is clean shaven.
While on duty, Garza wears an enchanted black military tunic called the Stoneskin Tunic and chain vest and a long sleeved undershirt that tucks into his Aegis Gauntlets. The tunic has a trench coat like skirt that covers his back legs. The tunic cloth is pitch black with a red insignia for the unit he leads, known as the Bloodhounds, which has i image of a snarling dog. He wears normal comfortable trousers and shoes with tough soles meant for travel and firm footing, allowing him to use footwork in his fighting style. Off duty in his own time, he wears a normal tunic, but it isn't uncommon for him to still wear his Aegis Gauntlets.
PERSONALITY: Garza is a very stern individual, on both himself and others. He is a firm believer in the law, and as a sworn officer in the military, he is over obsessive about maintaining order. He holds those that would disrupt the law in high disdain, and is dedicated to locking them away. This actually gives him a mixed perception among the public eye; there are those who adore him and think he is a paragon of justice, while others see him as an extremist who abuses his power. Garza also always follows orders...unless they conflict with the law. Furthermore, he can be very vocal about expressing his displeasure with certain orders if he believes them to be immoral. He has even been known to arrest important officials who have overstepped their boundaries, regardless of how important they are.
Aside from his fixation on the law, Garza is a very rational man, and to many people in the guard on active duty, is seen as a mentor figure, open to anyone who comes to him for advice. He frequents the pub while off duty, and isn''t above chatting up the locals, never forgetting that he serves the people. He does not anger easily when goaded, but can explode if he sees acts that would be described as "crimes against humanity" and shows no mercy to those that act like monsters.
Garza also has a strong sense of honor. He prefers his fights to be straight forward and man to man, and will go as far as to detain a target in single combat even if he has a group to back him up if he feels it will not jeopardize the mission. He always gives his targets a chance to surrender peacefully, and does not hold it against them for resisting arrest, believing it their right to at least fight for their freedom (although he won't hesitate to slap on resisting arrest as a charge)
With his comrades, he is a very protective superior, even when he is harsh or strict with his subordinates. He is not above friendly chatter, though his sense of humor, while present, is not to be tested often at the risk of aggravation. He is a model soldier as well, taking orders he may even vocally disagree with from a superior officer.

BIOGRAPHY: Anthony Garza came from a humble household in the capital city, with a very caring mother and father. Garza looked up to his father, who was a proud member of the Royal Guard, and served diligently as an officer who upheld the law. This was instilled in Garza, who aspired to be like him and one day join his father in active duty, serving under his unit. This sadly would never happen, as his father Marcus was murdered while on active duty by a rogue mage when Garza was a teen. The mage was a former guard, one who had been discharged from Marcus' unit for dishonorable conduct. While he grieved, this only made him more determined to be a guard, and punish those who would commit acts of murder, theft, and other dangerous activities. He was taken in and mentored by a close friend of his father's in the guard, a grizzled old veteran who saw potential in Garza.
Over the years of service, Garza made a name for himself with his fists, apprehending dangerous criminals and even fighting in skirmishes against bandits, marauders, and other small scale battles. He also caught the attention of his superiors, who saw fit to promote him and give him his own unit. Using his acquired clout as a unit Captain, he formed a unit called the Blood Hounds, which serve directly under the Royal Guard Captain, and specialize in capturing dangerous, high priority targets such as war criminals and rogue mages who pose a threat to society. He serves in this post to date, refusing any further promotion offers, as he feels comfortable where he is doing his sworn duty as an officer of the law.
INVENTORY:
Aegis Gauntlets: These metal gauntlets almost never leave Garza's side, even when he is off duty. The metal is steel, and magically protected from damage. They protect the military officer's forearms and the back of his hands, allowing him to grip and make a fist with no problem. These not only allow him to go toe to toe with those who use melee weapons and accent his very powerful punches, but are magically enchanted with a very powerful spell. On each gauntlet's backhand piece, there is a symbol that creates half a shield. When Garza slams his fists together, he makes the two symbols meet to create a whole shield. When this occurs, a very powerful magic sphere envelops Garza. This sphere is an aniti magic barrier that is designed to halt and neutralize most spells that make contact with it, save those that are almost nuclear in level, or if he's being barraged with multiple high powered spells at once. Furthermore, Garza MUST keep his fists connected to maintain the symbol and keep the shield up. meaning he cannot attack while using this pose.
Stoneskin Tunic: Proudly worn as his symbol of office and dedication while on duty, this special military uniform was specially crafted for the Captain of the Bloodhounds to help him combat those who would normally have an edge against his unarmed style of combat. While designed to be light and easy to move in, the suit is passively enchanted with a Stoneskin spell, that makes it as tough as possible. This protects his torso from conventionalweapons piercing through it, such as spears, arrows, swords, and more. However, it does not protect at all against magic, and only protects his torso, leaving his head, legs, and arms exposed and able to be harmed.
Magic Handcuffs: Garza always carries a pair of these magic suppressing handcuffs meant for dangerous criminals he detains.
Coin Pouch: For holding the money he carries.
Abilities:
Super Strength: Through a combination of years of physical training and several fights, Garza is built like brick shithouse, meaning that he is a sturdy mass of muscles, and the way he hits more then reflects that. He is powerful and uses his full frame to his advantage, using his footwork to accent his powerful blows that can fracture or even break bone. He is even strong enough to clash his fist against weapons or block incoming attacks due to the gauntlets, which allow him to even dent or damage plate armor with his swings.
Great Endurance: Just like his physical strength, Garza has fought several battles where he has taken sustained damage, leading to a form of superhuman durability. He can fight on after sustaining serious injuries such as cuts and bruises, and even some internal injuries before succumbing the the pain, the shock, or the loss of blood.
COMBAT:
Ambidextrous: Garza is equally adept at fighting with both hands, able to equally distribute power and dexterity between both for his preferred fighting style.
Boxer: Garza prefers to fight solely with his fists, and is very adept at many forms of boxing. While his preferred style is to slug it out with haymaker style attacks such as hooks and uppercuts, he is able to alternate between jabs, flurry punches, and is actually a very good defensive boxer, letting his body tank most of the damage with his equipment. If he can't go all out, his preferred method of attack is to parry or deflect a blow, and use the opening to try and knock someone out with a single punch...or at least seriously wound them.
Good Reflexes: While not as superhuman as his strength or endurance, Garza is able to react quickly on a veteran fighter's leve to most attacks, using sharp senses of awareness to try and dodge or counter most moves.
