Aria tilted her head to the side and gazed at Jeon much like a cat would to a mouse. She smiled at Jeons reaction towards Noku, was he still in trouble for the wine incident? Then again if she was in Nokus place she’d probably drag out being ‘angry’ with him, he was amusing to watch squirm at least.
”I’m sure that brunch will be pleasant; His majesty has been nothing but a gentleman when I have interacted with him personally. Anyone who doesn’t throw fainting on them in their face is alright in my book.”
Aria looked back over at Luci with a deep sigh, and explained.
”Now that was embarrassing! I don’t do well in large social gatherings. Trouble always seems to find me and something ALWAYS goes wrong. But anyways, as I am hoping to go blend in by the tree at the midwinters ball, Lord Jeon here accidently bumps into me. I trip on my dress and am about to fall flat on my butt in the middle of the ballroom, when his Majesty juts whips around and catches me. It gave me such a fright to realize WHO just caught me that I fainted right then and there….somehow when I came to we were both covered in wine… that was one of my only nice set of clothes to…I am hoping this gathering will go a little better.”
Really Aria had no problem poking fun at herself, or sharing her embarrassing moments. The fact she had fainted on Noku, her of all people, considering she had punched the freaking god of death in the face…was probably one of her most embarrassing moments. Aria turned her attention to Melda as she gave a horrified response do the idea of being a dragon babysitter. At that Aria let out a peel of laughter; that reaction was priceless. She stayed still while the seamstress stitched up the hem of her dress. However kept an eye on the egg as more pieces fell away.
”It means it will less likely to cause you trouble; that or more…depends on your definition of trouble…”
Aria would wait and listen to Jeons description of the arch with curiosity. She hadn’t gotten much information on the Arch since the large incident. She wondered if he knew about the escaped manna corrupted beasts that were running around below the city. The tunnels she used to get into the arch wouldn’t’ be safe any longer…

Melda looked away from the egg, composing her facial expressions once more to look at Jeon. Standing, she curtsied once more. The honour is mine, Sir Jeon. Thank you. Hearing the words of the wind always warms my heart— I could only be so lucky if they chose to speak to me someday. She lifted her head, a kind smile on her face. It wasn’t a secret that Melda wasn’t fond of men, but Jeon always found a way to make her smile, and something about him put her at ease.
When Aria clarified on the “imprinting” Melda held in a shudder. So, either the little beast would be nice with her, or be far worse… Either way it was possible that there would be a tiny dragon following her around in the near future. She did not find it amusing. She glanced back at the egg, watching it crackle and wobble lightly. She had to admit, the process was a bit endearing, and she was curious to what the baby would look like, but the simple idea of having the dragon in the castle gave her goosebumps.
Her mind wandered back to what Aria said, about fainting. So she had met the King before, and fainted before him. How strange, this woman did not seem like the type. While the seamstressed worked on her dress, Melda looked over her hair. Princess… what do you think about an up-do? She walked over to Aria, and took a strand of hair between her fingers, noting the texture. If the hair was too fine, it may not stay up as well.

Jeon continued to stare at the egg,"The Arch is running smooth without much hindrance. I went to work there right after I came here from Dalarus. I teach a few classes, but I'm mostly stuck up in my room playing with my plants,"after saying this he gave a smile directed toward Lucinda.
When Aria mentioned the wine incident terror stroked his face for an instance. He gained his composure back quickly. After that he didn't react much to what she said.
Jeon graciously listened to Vanya's words and smiled with a nod in gratitude. There was a lot going on in this room. It seemed Aria was getting ready, Lucinda was attempting to entertain all her guests, and an egg was preparing to hatch. He decided to stay to enjoy the company and entertainment.

Lucinda couldn't quite help herself and ended up laughing as Aria told her story. "Oh dear, that is unfortunate. Well, I doubt you'll have to worry about wine around Uncle Noku for awhile after yesterday's outburst," she said, still smiling.
As the egg continued to crack and shake, the princess considered Melda's suggestion. "Hmm, no. Not entirely up, I think that would be a bit much. What about half up?" She asked, looking to Melda and Aria for their thoughts on the matter. One of the servants moved to shift her hair into the style that Lucinda was talking about for demonstration. Meanwhile, another came over and began to work on Luci's hair. She was wearing hers up in a style to match the dress, except for her bangs which would be left down, of course.
She listened to Jeon's short answer as the servant worked. "I'm glad to hear things are going well at the Arch, cousin. Though it sounds as if you might get a tad bored?"she said, curious. Her curiosity was short lived though as another large chunk broke off from the egg and a tiny head poked out to stare at her. The little dragon was white with red violet horns, spots and wings. Her eyes were a silver color that matched her underbelly and she was absolutely adorable. Lucinda's face lit up and at the risk of messing up her hair, she broke away from the servants to lean down on a level with the tiny thing. "Hello there, little one. Arn't you beautiful? I'm Luci" she crooned to it, completely distracted.

Big large silver eyes blinked at the face that came near its shell. It blinked at the brightness of the room; and blinked in confusion of all the noise. The little dragon made a small high pitched whistle fallowed by a gurgle as the light haired girl crooned at her. The little head suddenly darted out of its shell with its mouth wide open, full of sharp tinny teeth, fully intent on nipping that odd protrusion that come from this fleshy things face. It looked nippable! So it must be nipped!

Lucinda watched as the dragon blinked and looked around the room. She smiled as the little dragon looked up at her and made it's cute noises. Though as she opened her mouth and lunged towards Luci's face, the princess quickly retreated but managed to catch the tiny dragon before it fell out of the chair. She put it back gently on the cushion, being careful to keep her fingers away from it's mouth. "Oh my goodness! You've hardly hatched and already you're feisty," she said. "I'm going to name you after my grandfather and so you shall be called 'Alli'" Lucinda announced, having spent a good deal of time thinking about this already. If it had been a boy dragon, she'd have called it 'Allister'.

”I’m surprised there’s no hindrance, especially after the gallows. I would imagine things would be hectic…..speaking of that Lady Vanya, you gave an account on it yesterday….was I really that scary looking? That woman who drank the wine literally ran away from me when I asked if she was alright and went straight back into the throne room…..”
Aria sighed; she really didn’t think she was that scary, But with the way people had been reacting to her lately she was wondering if she would have to reevaluate herself. Lucinda’s open wish to be friends was refreshing. Aria chuckled at her wine comment.
”That outburst was glorious; it was like a little piece of home.”
Aria sighed happily. Ya that reaction was a bit odd, but hey that level of an outburst did remind her of home. Her attention was pulled back to her hair and she took a strand in her right hand and thought for a moment. She rarely ever had it straight; it would be a shame to tie it up.
”A small braid on one side would be nice; Oh Jeon! Would you happen to have any rose seeds on you or be able to get some? All my seeds are back in the forever forest at the moment.”
Aria looked over as the dragon popped out of its shell, as the Princess went to go towards the egg….
”Uh Princess you mi….to late”
The dragon lunged, fortunately the princess was fast. She motioned for the servants to back away slightly so she could move over towards the dragon. As the dragon was placed on the cushion Aria reached out. The hand that reached out however was covered in dark red scales, with long claw like fingers. She picked it up with one hand and held it up to her face with a frown. Arias eyes had changed as well, the whites were gone, just replaced with large blue green iris’s with cat like pupils. The dragon now named Alli bit at her, but its tiny teeth just bounced off of the thick dragon hide. A low growl that didn’t belong to a human emitted from Arias throat, and the small dragon silver orbs snapped up and looked into hers. Three clinking sounds came from Arias throat and the dragonlet immediately stopped biting at her hand. As soon as she did so Arias hand returned back to normal as did her eyes.
”Now that I have your attention, You little miss, are going to behave yourself while around humans. No biting.”
Aria looked over at Lucinda and handed her the dragonlet, which should behave for the moment.
”Let her get use to your scent, if she does something wrong use the three clicks. From my experience dragons usually make that sound when they are getting annoyed. They would respond to a hiss to but that’s a bit severe. She will likely nip again; for now though she should behave until she falls asleep. I would get some falconers gloves to handle her for the time being though.”

Lady Aria… To someone who has never been faced with such magic’s it can be quite fearsome. I wonder if that is why Lady Avaline left? I am not sure, to me however, it was startling. Needless to say, seeing a dragon appear out of someone your…size… was quite odd to say the least. She let the hair drop while she spoke, nodding when Lucinda suggested half and half.
The young girl needs time to talk to anyone. She’s skittish in general. She looked closer at the moving egg, curiously. When the little beast popped out, Melda had to admit it was cute, however when it pounced towards the Princess, a small sound of alarm sprang from the Duchess. She watched Aria handle the baby with ease, which Melda thought could be rather useful in honesty. Melda stepped forward a bit curiously, now that the dragon seemed calm, in Lucinda’s arms.

It took Jeon a second to realize that Aria had made a request from him. He gave a slight glare while he thought about the kind of seeds he had on his person. He multiple orchid vines, which was the plants he was experimenting with recently, but he did carry around a species he had breed to be an almost pure white. He begrudgingly put his hand in a bag that he had under his robe and retried a small packet of seeds,"Here you go...milady....,"he had a random moment where he imagined how ridiculous he must look being so cruel to a woman, but he didn't care.
The hatching the of the dragon completely caught his attention. Magical creatures weren't one of his interests, but a baby dragon hatching from the burrows of its egg was fascinating. What was the destiny of this small child? Hopefully he was to have a warm welcome in the boundaries of the capital.

Lucinda looked amused as Aria questioned Melda about the events recounted. She had to agree with the elf on this one, seeing a small woman like Aria turn into a dragon would be alarming, to say the least. She nodded with Aria's suggestion about her hair. "However you wish it. It's your hair, after all, so long as it's presentable and neat, at least," she said, smiling.
That smile turned into a look of interest as Lucinda watched Aria handle the baby dragon. The transformed parts of her were interesting. She'd never seen anyone only do partial transformations. She nodded, listening carefully to Aria's instructions as she handed over Alli. Lucinda cradled the dragonlet gently, marveling at the details on her scales and horns. "She's beautiful," Lucinda said simply. She looked over as Melda and Jeon turned their attention over to the dragon. She wondered what Aria needed the rose seeds for and altered her attention between her and Alli.

The little dragon had attempted to bight at the large claws that just picked it up. But it’s little teeth just bounced off the think hide. She froze as an adult’s growl caught her attention…instinctively she knew that was a growl from her own kind. Her little silver disks looks up into large blue green orbs…dragon orbs. She immediately released the dragon’s claws from her mouth as warning clicks came from the odd dragon that did not look like a dragon. She looked up at the dragon with a contrite expression. Apparently biting at things was a no no….but was a nibble ok? She settled into the lap of her caregiver; eyeing the other dragon curiously….she would behave until that one left the room…
She turned her attention back to the one who’s soft squishy lap she was sitting in. She made a whistle sound and head butted her arm. She flipped over on to her back, her little claws holding onto her tail like a blanket. She made a chortling sound and yawned. It had been a lot of work getting out of that shell. She looked back over at the other dragon with a look that said ‘see I’m behaving! Right?’

Aria chuckled at the Lady part in front of her name.
”I have to say it’s increasingly odd to have Lady in front of my name…. all my life it has been, brat, demon, vermin, girl, child, ect…Yesterday and a couple days before woman was added to the list….ecstatic I finally got upgraded.
When her size was commented on Aria looked up at the duchess with an arched eyebrow.
”Are you implying that I’m short? I would like to say I prefer funsized or vertically challenged….the only thing that was large in that transformation was my wing span….I do try however not to transform into large things often; it ruins whatever I’m wearing. Partially why I stick to simple and cheap clothes….right now I’m down to two or three outfits in total that aren’t ruined in one way or another….which reminds me. While I’m around you ladies, do any of you know how to get blood out of silk or other delicate materials? I was fated over wearing an outfit that was given to me by my adoptive family of sorts; during the blossom festival it got covered in blood.”
Aria really needed to hit the market place and obtain new clothes….especially if she was to be around the castle more. Arias eyebrows rose to a surprised look, and a mock insulted expression formed on her face.
”Why princess! My hair is a glorious wild majestic mane of divine quality; what everyone calls disheveled I call exotic. My hair Is always presentable!”
She ended her mock version of narcissism with a well-timed hair flip. She looked back over at Lucinda with a mischievous glint in her eye. A goofy grin spreading across her face. She turned her attention back to Jeon who seemed to be glaring at her. Did that boy still hold a grudge? She smiled gratefully as she pulled out a packet of seeds.
”Thank you Jeon, are there any plants from the forest you’d be interested in as a thank you for these? I have a particularly large collection of carnivorous plant species. Though I also have a good amount of helena’s flowers, lunar flowers, mylee’s flowers, ect.”
Aria did love her carnivorous plant collection, it was one she had hidden away; specifically a large ….slightly improved portion of her collection surrounding an exit to one of her tunnels….She took the packet and placed one seed in her hand. An orange gold glow formed in the middle of her palm and surrounded the seed. It immediately sprouted and began to grow in her palm rapidly. Four stems shot up rapidly, each forming a bud at the end. The flowers bloomed; first being the white they were genetically bred to have. But then as the glow of her magic surrounded it more, the blooms began to change colors. One darkened to a cream color but the tips held the original pure white, it would be a shame to lose the natural color; whiled the other three took on a shade of peach. As the orange gold glow faded away, the flowers each held an unnatural magical glow to them. Curiously each of the roses lacked the telltale thorns, Aria had grown them while suppressing the thorns growth. She split off the flowers, and handed the peach ones to Mel and Jeon. Then going over to Lucinda and placing another peach one gently in her hair.
”Roses happen to be one of my favorite flowers; one single plant can have a language of its own. One can convey a number of messages depending on the shade of the rose and even to the number given. A single rose is a symbol of gratitude and simplicity, peach in particular symbolizes appreciation, gratitude, and sincerity. It also can symbolize a question; when a peach rose given it’s asking to get together sometime.”
She smiled; roses were definitely one of her favorite flowers. Her scent was that of roses, mixed with the smell of campfires. That and her last name meant rose; symbolizing all the different meanings a rose could have. Unfortunately she met few people who appreciated the language of roses.
”Really I am very appreciative of your kindness; I haven’t had a moment like this in a long time, it’s nice. I would like to do this again sometime.”
Aria then took the last rose, the cream one an symbol of charm and thoughtfulness; mixed with the white tips also symbolized purity, honor, and loyalty….hopefully it would bring her luck when she met with Noku this afternoon. She brought the rose up to the side of her head right behind on delicately pointed ear; her magic caused the stem to grow once more braiding itself into her hair. In the end Arias hair style was simple; but elegant.

When Aria admitted that “lady” was an upgrade, Melda chuckled lightly. She hadn’t thought of that when she’d said lady, it came out politely. However, when her eyebrow arched, and her tone changed, Melda felt the sass rolling off of the small woman. I see. Fun..sized? Right. Well, whether or not your transformation was large, it was still troublesome, as you’re aware. Melda shook her head, she didn’t want to get into the event that had happened, she already needed to look into a body guard after word spread about Captain Walker. Blood? Out of silk? I can’t say that I’ve ever had to do so… So I’m afraid I can’t help you there. Melda looked over to Jeon, as he handed Aria some seeds, then watched incredulously as they began to sprout immediately. It truly was an enchanting process.
When Aria handed her a peach rose, she looked down to it, dumbfounded. Upon hearing the explanation, Melda found herself touched oddly enough. I.. Thank you Aria. She smiled and walked over to a mirror, delicately placing the rose in her hair was well, tucking it into the braids at the back, so it sat in the middle of them all. She turned back to the group and smiled softly. It wasn’t often she felt like this, and it was odd.
She now walked over to the dragon in Lucindas arms, growing more curious by the second. Carefully, she reached out her hand and hesitantly touched the top of the babies head, petting him carefully. Hi there..

Jeon accepted the peachy rose. He didn't know how to react to the color change. It was a lot harder to breed flowers than to just change their color with magic. He gave a sigh and accepted it. It didn't phase the progress of his roses so he decided to not let it bother him. He didn't have anywhere to put it, so he placed it in a pocket of his robe,"I thank you for the offer, but I have plenty plants back at the Arch,"he didn't even look at her in the face when he spoke. His nostrils were even slightly flared.
With all the attention on the dragon Jeon felt like he couldn't contribute to the conversation any longer,"it was lovely to see you sweet cousin, but I will depart now. I can only imagine the inquiries that our relatives will want from me since I've been gone from the castle for so long. Goodbye ladies!"the dragon was a beauty, but it made him feel uneasy. It was a mystery that he didn't want to find out. After giving a wave and a smile he departed from the room. A servant started following him and he had to tell the servant that he was fine on his own. He knew these halls just fine!

Lucinda smiled in delight as Alli turned over and started being all cute and making adorable noises. She played with the dragonlet for a moment, petting her gently and tickling her tiny silver tummy. The princess then looked up at Aria in confusion as she explained her feelings regarding the way people addressed her or saw her. She had a hard time understanding that but that was more because of her upbringing than anything.
Aria's next question provided a distraction. She ignored the short rant and focused on the blood problem. "I'm afraid I have to agree with Lady Vanya on this, Aria. I have never personally had a problem with blood in any sort of delicate clothing. Have you considered locating a mage that specializes in tailoring and cleaning? They might have a spell that could do that," She suggested, attempting to be helpful.
She had no comment for Aria's comeback concerning her hair, except to look surprised before laughing. Then quieted as Aria began to use her magic to make the roses bloom. Lucinda had never seen anything like it and it was beautiful. She watched in awe, absently patting and playing with Alli as she held the tiny dragon. She listened as Aria explained about the meaning of roses and smiled as she was gifted with one. "Thank you, Aria. It's an honor to have a friend like yourself," she said simply, not wanting to ruin the moment.
Lucinda motioned for her chambermain to come forward and within moments her blonde hair was done up in a neat updo, her bangs left to frame her face and she tucked the rose into the style. She turned as Jeon started to leave and nodded. "Have a nice day, Jeon. We'll meet again soon," she said.
