”Troublesome but unfortunately necessary, I needed the extra armor that the scales provided. Usually the scales will protect me from normal arrows, and makes it increasingly harder to pierce me with a knife. It unfortunately didn’t protect me from something that was designed to punch through armor. Without the hide and the extra protection of my wing span, I would be missing an arm right now.”
And unfortunately so would the king.
”Transformation abilities also making healing a bit harder; my muscles are slightly different then a humans…there meant to be able to withstand the stress of shifting. Most healers aren’t trained to handle shifters. Heal it like a normal humans and as I found in the past as soon as I transform again I do some major muscle damage. Roland healed it partially and my wing fully since it was impaled, fortunately he did not heal my shoulder all the way, so once it heals fully I’ll just have to take transformations slow.”
That certainly explained why she still had the wound in a castle full of healers… It certainly wasn’t due to the lack of offers. Aria looked a little crest fallen when the ladies didn’t have a way to remove blood from fine clothing. Aria scratched the bridge of her nose when it was suggested she bring it to a tailor that may have a solution for that….Frankly that would bring some questions since the dress itself was probably worth a couple platinum pieces….It was after all from the glade and a gift given by the gods. Heck her shoes alone could probably pay for two of the dresses she was in right now. That ….and it was styled by Granny and Ven….it was probably a bit more revealing then what was normally worn.
Aria once again noticed that Jeon’s anger with her each time seemed to grow. He even walked off before she was able to give him the rest of his seeds back. She just shook her head, really his rudeness towards her hardly bothered her what so ever. She did have to resist the urge to make it worse tho…she would bug him more later. She nodded to him as he left and turned back to the other two woman with a grin.
”SOooo anything I should know about talking to his majesty so I don’t get thrown into the dungeons again?”
She looked back down at the dragon with a small smile.
”I can’t wait until she starts being able to communicate; dragons have some of the most snarky personalities I love it. Right now her thought process are pictures, eventually when she see’s more of the outside world they’ll become concepts and feelings. Finally her thought process will be much like yours or I’s.”
