Serenity rolled over slowly, her skin coming in contact with someone else's, and whoever they were, they were warm and soft. Serenity snuggled against the body, happy to have the warmth. Somewhere in the night, her blanket must have been pushed off, because there was a cooling breeze rolling over her body. After a moment or so, Serenity took in a deep breath and let out a small yawn, signalling her rise from sleep. Her body stretched out lightly, brushing against the body next to her, and after a few seconds, her hazel eyes cracked open. She sat herself up and rolled out her shoulders, for some reason they were a bit stiff. Her hair was in tuffs around her, curling and frizzing. Not exactly the example of morning beauty, but not horrifying either. She raised her arms above her head, clasping her hands together while stretching them letting out a tiny squeak as she did. Once that was done, she slouched back down, looking at the floor in front of her bed, where her blanket fell. From there she looked up out the window where the harsh sunlight was coming into her room, burning her eyes. The results from last nights drinking was making an appearance now, as a light pounding began on her temples, and would no doubt work its way across her whole head. With a sigh, Serenity looked to her side, suddenly curious as to whose skin was brushing her own, and her eyes widened at the answer. Séanait? She looked down at her own body, bare of any clothing... Of course.
The nights events rushed back into her mind and her face flushed in the process. Not a single regret entered her mind, but embarrassment surely did, as the remembrance of Rivers making an appearance also was clear in her mind. I'm gonna kill him. She glanced back over at Shy, remembering the details now. She was sure of her sexuality now more than ever, but she did admit the night was fun, no doubts about that.

Séanait wasn't normally one for sleeping in, even after a heavy night's drinking, but this morning she had managed to stay asleep for quite some time, worn out by both her night with Serenity and the late hour it had been before they had finally gotten to sleep. She was on the edge of wakefulness, although, and slowly came too full consciousness as Serenity cuddled with her.
She turned as Serenity sat up and stretched, watching the morning light play on the beautiful woman's skin. Memories of the night flashed through Séanait's mind as she drank in the sight of Serenity's naked body, and she smiled languidly. The evening activities had been much more fun after Serenity had decided to be more active with them. Séanait was now fully satisfied, her worries over her feelings for Claire a distant memory.
Serenity turned to look at her and, apparently seeing her for the first time, blushed. Whether it was at the frank, admiring way Séanait was looking at her or memories of the previous night that made Serenity blush she didn't know, but at least Serenity wasn't looking at her with terrified horror or some other somesuch emotion. Embarrassment she could handle.
Yawning herself, Séanait sat up and stretched much as Serenity had, her chest thrust out as far as she could get it. She had a feeling that what had happened was a one night only thing, but it never hurt to try.
Then, with an impish grin, Séanait said, "I guess I owe you dinner."

Serenity arched an eyebrow at the look on Shy’s face. She’s been admired by many, and it was no secret she took pride in her body, so she recognized the look when she saw it. With a smirk, she looked back over to the sunlight and winced slightly. That would have to change. Without a moments thought Serenity crawled off the bed and shuffled over to the window, shutting her makeshift curtains best she could. There was still a dim light seeping through, but it was far more bearable in comparison to actual rays of sun.
Once that was down, Serenity shuffled back to the bed, picking up her blanket as she did and flopped onto the bed, cuddling the cool comforter. She looked up to Shy through a groggy gaze, her hazel eyes still waking up, and chuckled lightly. How about breakfast? Her stomach rumbled at the thought. She was no master chef like Rivers, but she was sure she could whip something up for the two of them. She wasn’t sure where Roxanne and Rivers were, and she didn’t care to check either, but if they came down she wouldn’t mind cooking for them either— after all, they had helped her train an awful lot yesterday, before the drinking and games. And, Rivers had made that beautiful dinner for them. Breakfast was a simple thank you, but she’d do what she could.
Serenity burrowed her face into the cool blanket as it slowly warmed to her body, not ready to face the hangover that would brew over the day. She let out a groan before flopping over onto her back with her arm over her eyes. You’d think I’d learn my limit.

Séanait winked at Serenity when she gave her that knowing smirk that women confident in their bodies give to someone who's blatantly checking them out and continued to watch with interest as she got up to close the curtains. Not being one to get hangovers, the sunlight didn't bother Séanait so much, except that it indicated that the night was over and it was now day. That meant she was going to have to go back to Claire and try to explain her absence. She really shouldn't have let her lusts make her abandon her duty.
Serenity flopped back down on the bed and drew the blanket over her. Séanait, not having any real desire to get up right now, lay back down on the bed, got under the blanket and cuddled up to Serenity. She wasn't putting moves on her, she just felt like cuddling for a while. She hadn't really had much of a chance just to lie in bed with someone, not doing anything other than relaxing, since she'd come to Nova and she found that she missed it.
"Mmm," She said into Serenity's hair, managing to avoid getting it in her mouth mostly by luck, "Breakfast sounds good."
Serenity made a comment about not knowing her limit, which drew a chuckle from Séanait.
"If you never push your limits, how will you ever expand them?"
Which was not really good advice in this context, but Séanait was in a teasing mood and feeling quite light hearted. For the first time in months she felt at peace with herself. Her problems were still there, and he knew that they would be there for her when she got up, but for now she was content.
Slowly, Séanait dropped back off to sleep.

She was surprised when Séanait cuddled up to her— apart of her hadn’t expected it, but she liked it. She could feel Shy breathing into her hair and it tickled enough to cause her to giggle lightly. Well, there’s probably eggs downstairs, and various other ingredients. I can fix something if you like. She smiled, not wanting to move just yet anyhow. Hungry as she was, breakfast could wait a little while.
Serenity had gone through a hard time, after arriving in Nova. She spiralled down, was depressed, and as a result of that, she drank a lot, did some really stupid things. For example, sleeping with nearly everyman to lay eyes on her in a tavern. This lasted near a month and a half before she came to her senses.. Or rather, her sense was sliced into her when a sword was raked across the backs of her knees. Serenity could not complain about a dry spell, but she could complain about affection. What her and Séanait had done was similar and yet different. There were not feelings attached, as Serenity was aware of Claire, and Shy was aware of Rivers. But, at the same time, both women were aware of each other, and paid mind to that. Cuddling was not a luxury Serenity had had… well ever. She found she really enjoyed it.
Perhaps that is true… but I think in the context of drinking… well not all of us can drink giants under a table. Serenity laughed lightly and nudged Shy. After that she stayed silently, and noticed when Séanait’s breathing shifted and became controlled. She was asleep, and soon after Serenity joined her.
