Kail had came back to Nova and was staying at the bloody marry and had saw a bounty flyer to deal with a group of bandits that were striking in the night. He then saw the money for the reward and knew that if he had that money. That it would cover a lot of his expenses for making new equipment. As the blond wanted the stuff to defend himself and deal with threats as this world was brutal enough. None the less though Kail went to his room and had set up all of his equipment there as well as some armor. As it was reaching twilight Kail got dressed and armed himself with his weapons and his gem bracelets. His equipment consisted of his long sword, Sting, his shield, both of his survival knives. The Knife of Destiny was kept close to him, and the last thing was his whip. He dressed in very dark clothes to blend in with the darkness. He had found the right target or the place that these bandits would strike at. Kail kept himself silent and used the shadow gem to be unseen as he hid a deep dark shadow.
It had became dark and now the blond was waiting for the bandits to strike. He was going to get these bastards as there was a lot on the line for him. Kail was not going to fail on this adventure since he needed the money. That money was going to give him power to at least fight on even terms with more magical and powerful oppenets. He was not going to be pushed around by others or be walked all over. The blond was going to push back harder then he was before. For now though he pushed these thoughts back into the back of his mind. Kail had to focus on the job at hand. It would be a matter of time before the bandits would strike the home.

Kail was not the only one who had seen the job posting. A hulking mass of scale and muscle likewise waited for the appearance of the raiders, surprisingly stealthy for his sheer bulk. K'ris stood there, in the shadow of the alley, with his massive hammer resting on the ground beside him, a flask in one hand, and his beard in the other, clawed fingers brushing through the sandy blonde hair adorning his jaw as a form of release for the nervous energy that had been building for some time now. These tiny bandits could not arrive soon enough for his liking, and as he took a sip from his flask, he'd take another look down the way, eyes briefly passing over where the young Fated stood hidden.

As the night draws to the mid-morning hours something within the streets begins to stir. A strange clanking sound comes from the main street of the housing district. Something was thrown from the roof tops onto the streets below. The canisters tossed, activating within the shadows that the street lamps could not reach, a thick cloud of smoke quickly crawling in like a fog over the open streets. The main housing district now blanketed in a heavy fog. A flicker of blue light visible for only a few seconds scattered to anyone who could see through this thick fog. A sound of broken glass. A bucket kicked.. Then after a few moments a surprised woman’s scream. The house that the scream came from, the bed room window broke open. Glass shattering on the street below as a small figure dropped and rolled out onto its feet. Possibly standing no higher than 3 feet the little thief ran, taking advantage of the fog with a sack slung over its shoulder.

Kail had been waiting and was still waiting as he then saw a big burly dragon like man walk past him. And figured that this guy took the quest as well. The blond kept silent as he did not want to give himself away if these guys saw them they could have been scared off. As it went into the mid morning something happened and something dropped from the roof tops. They had set off several smoke bombs and this got Kail's attention as this would not be something not common in a fantasy world. Either it came from the far east but he then saw the object. This confirmed that this was a fated item or knowlage in some degree. The blond did curse at the fact that he should have been on the rooftops. Kail stays in the shadows and follows the sound of the running boots. He keeps low and runs like a ninja like out of the Naruto anime. Kail was not going to fail this as he needed the money and this would help. Perhaps he could also get info out of this small thief. On the rest of his goodies and such, none the less the blond hoped that this would be a major jackpot. He did hope that the heavy cloud inkiness would disapate as they were running farther and farther away.

Sai had read the the information about the bandits in the housing district it seem strange to her at first she wasn’t going to take it but the reward money made her change her tune. Reading it over again that the thieves seem to be small and the leader might be a child, her put her plan into motion, not caring if someone had also taken on the request.
Setting out in the night a little after midnight since she needed to rest up for what she was going to do. Looking at herself once in the passing window of a home, she smiled, after all the resting that she got it helped her since she wouldn’t have to collapse on a bed later that day with what she did. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ears her smile widening at her childlike appearance, plus the height of being 4’9 fairly small in her mind. Adjusting her belt making sure that her daggers were there.
Making her way down the alley she curled up in a corner, making herself smaller while her eyes scan the houses. Noticing some shadows moving but they seem bigger than what she was expecting. Crossing them off as nothing, she continue to watch waiting for something to happen.
Nothing happen and she was starting to wonder if the bandits wasn’t going to striking that night. As soon as she thought that she heard the sounds of metal hitting the ground and a blue light for a moment. Getting up she pulled one of her daggers off of her belt and started out into the direction she saw the light from before hearing a woman scream.
Stopping for a moment, she took in the direction the sound same from since the fog wasn’t helping see much in front of her. Seeing a shadow moving through the fog much taller than she was expecting, she took off after the person, not sure if it was the thief she was chasing or someone else who also took on the request either way she was going to catch up to them and find out.

The fog held strong as the small thief ran through the open street. The small sack on its back rattling with the sound of metal, coin and other valuables clanking together with each running step. Kail had managed to gain the most ground and had caught up to the thief first. However, his own steps gave him away and the small thief soon realized he was being chased. Panic quickly over took the bandit, reaching into his pocket to pull out a small flute. Two high pitched notes came from the flute.
The notes rang out through the thick fog, however not loud enough to wake those who were sleeping in their beds still. The sound of glass breaking could be heard coming from different houses around Kail and anyone in the area or chasing the thief could hear the breaking sound echo. It wouldn’t be long until Kail could see that this thief was not alone. Two small figures appeared on two separate buildings on the roof tops. They watched as their other partner ran with his loot; when he passed them they finished pouring out oil from small wooden barrels onto the houses and street. The smell of oil stagnant in the air. Then a flicker and each small person lit a match. Their faces highlighted very faintly in the fog. They looked no older than a child as they stared down at Kail, dressed in dark clothes just like the bandit he was currently after. They held the match up, hoping that this would be the distraction their comrade needed. Then without hesitation they both dropped the lit match onto the poured oil that came from the barrels. The oil quickly catching fire and fallowing the poured oil trail from one building to the other across the street. The flames reaching no higher than a grown person’s hips. However, the thief Kail was chasing had stopped and turned to attempt to see who or what was chasing him. If kail would pass the fire, he would soon see that the thief he was chasing was that of a small boy. With strange markings on his face and with a dagger drawn – the dagger almost looking like a small sword in his hands.
“Don’t come any closer you got that! “ The kid warned as he snarled, an took a few steps back in caution. Unaware how many were actually really chasing him.

Kail had slightly cursed at the fact in his haste that the thief had heard him. But this was a chase after all since this kid was running away like a bat out of hell. The blond knew that this child or what was a kid would be swifter then him. But would he have the same amount of endurance to keep up. He did hear some breaking of glass and it seemed that the pipsqueak had brought some friends along with him. It did not matter as he kept his momentum and then he heard something tip over and the smell of oil. Then a blaze of flame rose up from the street, clever at least with a small trap. To try and slow him down let there boss get away and the leader should have. Kail slightly smirked as he had brought all of his gems with him. So all three of his fire gems glowed and knew that his armor would protect him to some degree. He absent mindedly reached behind himself forgetting that he did not have his whip on him. But it seemed that was not the case, as it was there. Perhaps in his rush to get ready he had equipped it on to himself.
Kail ran through the flames ignoring the intense heat that he was going through. For the bandit leader though this would be a rather intimidating sight. As the light of the flames had reflected off of his glasses making it seem that they were glowing. As he cleared the flames he turned off the fire gems, and activated the lightning gem. Kail then swings the dragon leather whip as it crackles with lightning. His swing was to disarm and maybe stun the bandit leader. Since the blond wanted to end this quickly as he could. If the bandit was disarmed and they got away he had a way to track it down.

Sai cursed under her breath as she heard the sounds of glass being broken. Moving her legs faster not wanting to lose the trail only now regretting being at the size that she was at. Quicken her pace trying to catch up to the person who was ahead of her, not liking the idea of more than one person to deal with at this point.
She didn’t slow down in pace as the smell of fire hit her before she saw it. Thinking for a moment, as she was someone walk straight into the fire, she knew that either they were crazy or brave deciding to go with the former she looked around trying to find a way around the fire without losing the trail. Seeing no other choice she place her dagger in her mouth and started to scale the house, not caring too much about teeth of broken glass that was digging into her skin.
Once to the rooftop, she looked around now having a higher viewpoint of everything that was happening. The person she was following wasn’t a bandit, but someone who had also taken on the request, the bandit in question was indeed a child at least what she could tell from her standing point. Mumbling under her breath knowing that no one would really hear her as she picked the pieces of glass that attached itself to her skin out.
“I guess I’ll stand up here and watch the crazy man since he seems to handling it alone.” With that said, she crouched down making herself ready to move at a moment’s notice be it to help the crazy man or continue the chase if the child decided to start running again. She did consider aiming for the little sack making the goodies spilled but knew that if the thief wasn’t aware of her presence it would be best to remind quiet.

K'ris could not believe it. The posting had mentioned the small size of the bandits, but seeing that tiny form, made all the tinier by his own bulk, caught him by surprise nonetheless. Immediately, the man opposite gave chase, but the muscular lizardman held back, keeping an eye out for further bandits, not wanting to rush headlong into an ambush. Small size or no, it didn't take a giant to slip a knife between one's ribs. He'd instead advance cautiously, keeping an eye out for further trouble, hefting his massive warhammer while tapping into his connection to the earth, ready to make use of either at a moment's notice.
Even with his carefully moderated pace, the massive man had a ground-eating pace, and he'd come into view of the flames in little time. This was a problem; burglary was one thing, but a fire like this could easily spread and do some serious damage. He'd rush forward finally, slamming the head of his hammer into the dirt and channeling through it, churning the earth beneath the flames in a localized tremor, kicking up dirt and aiming to smother the fire before it got too far out of control.

Now the thing about oil…is it burns hot and it burns FAST. The oil fire had quickly spread across the area, and flickered up the sides of the buildings on which the oiled had been tipped down. The fire burning hot and fast was quick to jump from house to house, heading towards the person who had joined the other two bandits on the roof top. The other two had already begun to run from the burning flames taking their escape rather than sticking around. The boy who had been facing the flames stared at them and gaped, the man was just walking through them as if it were a field of daisy’s! That shit ain’t natural! That and something crackling was coming at him; the bandit dropped the knife before the whip hit it, turned tail and ran as fast as his tiny feet could carry him. Seeing a man walk through flames was enough to melt away his courage. He waved frantically at one of his companions who ran along the roof tops above him; a rope being dropped down to him in response. He took it as they hauled him up.
The bandit on the roof on the other side of the street took out a small cross bow and shot at the man with the whip. Mostly at his feet but, frankly there aim wasn’t the best as the weapon seemed new in their hands. Hopefully buying time for their street bound companion to get to the roof tops.
Meanwhile near the fires the ones on the street were quickly put out by the dust cloud. But it did nothing for the flames that had already taken to the roof tops. By now bells were sounding as people began to evacuate the buildings, shouting fire as they went. It would not be long until this roads were crowded with people. At least the fire was put out on the streets; giving a few blocked families now a chance to escape their burning buildings.

Kail cursed as he saw the flames go to the houses and this pissed him off. At the fact that he did not have any kind of tool to put out a oil flame like this. But seeing that the pint sized bandit was running away and dropping his weapon was good. Although seeing the guy trying to get away furrowed his brow, he quickly reaches for one of his pockets and takes out his Knife of Destiny. "Strike true my blade and cut the rope, that is what I desire" since the blade reacted to his desires and wants. Kail did not want this guy to run away from them from the roof tops. The blond then throws the knife and made sure it was far above the bandit to cut the rope. But if the bandit tried to uses it has a handhold there would be one hell of a surprise. A very shocking one at that since the weapon did not like others touching it. But then hearing the wisseling of an arrow being shot made Kail remark that it must have been a very karmic thing. That he would be shot at by a sniper from the rooftops and was not able to get away. Since he had focused too much on preventing the escape of the bandit leader.
But since the aim might of been off it did hit Kail but it got him in the upper theigh. Kail cursed loudly in pain as he never got shot by a arrow or anything like it. But money was involved and he could not be slowed down at all and pulled out the bolt. But as he turned to the other buildings that were starting to catch flame he knew that he had to act fast. Kail puts his whip away and then focuses with his right hand the water gem and condenses the water bomb from a three shot to a one shot burst. He aims and flings it to a roof that was caught on fire. Trying to put out the flames out. The one thing he hoped that the knife would still be on the ground when he was done dealing with the flames. Kail did hope the dragon man had some bandages or something he could do a quick bandage since he was bleeding from being hit in the leg.

Sai looked behind her and cursed as she pulled the last piece of glass out of her arm, making a small note to heal them later. Looking ahead of her as she took off dagger still in mouth knowing that she can’t outrun a fire, sparing a glance towards the ground she noted that the fire was out there. Making the quick decision knowing that it might cost her in the end but money was on the line and she was not going to give it up. Preparing herself she rolled off of the rooftop onto the ground below doing her best to brace her fall.
Thankfully the fall wasn’t as bad she had thought it would be having not heard a crack of bones breaking. Mostly scraping her arms and legs causing them to bleed more not that she cared too much about that at the moment since a little blood lost wasn’t going to kill her. Doing a quick check of her surrounding, she knew that she had two options, either keep her eye on the bandit and follow their trail or help the others. Knowing that this job might be harder than she thought she decided that helping the others might be in her best befit.
Walking towards the crazy man who walked through fire noticing that it was Kail. Laughing at bit since she still thinks that he was crazy walking through fire and when they first met aiming a loaded crossbow at her. Noticing that he leg was bleeding she sighed once again her being injured was one thing but him was another, he wasn’t breeded for this kind of life. “Once you are done with the flames I am gonna need you to sit down.” Her voice soft and a little pitchy to go along with her child like body. Turning her eyes to the dragon boy who put out the fire on the ground, she just nod her head to him.
