Forgive my absence as of late and my lack of presence to explain more about the apprenticeship you have agreed upon. Part of my absence is due to not being well, thus I am bed bound until I have enough strength to become active in duty again. As you agreed, as part of being my apprentice you have access to the palace. So long as you keep the second letter attached to this one. Your access is limited and your presence must be accompanied by a guard or one of my personal servents.
Now as regards to why I am writing this letter to you directly. My sources say you are an excellent craftsman and I trust that I can call upon you to craft what I am about to request. I want an armored arm gauntlet, the materials that will be provided will be listed below. I have also attached a notice slip for noruvians as your first payment sum of how much this means to me. When you are complete with the order, please present the work to me in person and I will pay the rest of the sum that I see fit. Do not fail me my apprentice.
