Kay shivered in the early morning chill and wrapped the furs from the bed more tightly around her. They stank slightly of sweat and sex, a smell that she found repugnant in most situations. Knowing that it was she and Séanait who had made them stink like that made the smell merely unpleasant. She resolved to clean them when it got lighter.
Séanait had been called out earlier to meet with the Prince, and while she'd instructed Kay to sleep in for a little bit, Kay hadn't felt right doing so. Instead, she'd dressed and begun working on a aketon she had been making for Séanait. The chest piece was made from fifteen layers of heavy duty linen, while the sleeves used lighter fabric for better mobility. On top of this would be sewn a thick piece of leather, almost a quarter inch thick, but first she had to finish quilting the linen.
With speed that only increased as the days went on, Kay forced the needle through the layers of fabric, drew the thread all the way through and then started back the other way. It was a time consuming process, made more so by the fact that Kay had chosen to place the quilts closer together than usual on the chest piece, in the hope that it would provide better protection. She didn't want to see Séanait hurt so badly again, and this was the only way she could try to ensure her lover's safety.
Kay suddenly felt dizzy and leaned forwards as spots clouded her vision. She suddenly fell hard on her arse, pricking her finger to the bone with the needle. Swearing, she looked up, wanting to find who she needed to either yell at or grovel before, only to find that she wasn't in Séanait's room, but in an enormous cavern lined with crystals.
"Casúr Cerdar," she breathed, feeling panic starting to rise in her "Casúr Cerdar!"
Kay dropped the half finished aketon and clamped her hands over her mouth as she began to hyperventilate. She had no idea what was going on, and she was terrified.

Sighing she leaned against the wall, waiting for the new person to magically appear. She would be lying to herself if she wasn’t a bit curious about how the Fated entered this world, so that’s what she was doing. To anyone who had asked she said that Kail asked her to help the newly Fated in this world while he is away doing business. It was a lie, but no one questioned it or her true motives. Sighing, once again she pushed herself off the wall, brushing the dirt off of her clothes having decided to stick with the noble lady look while she was in Bane. She wasn’t going to tell anyone this, but she was happy here since it was one of the few places that she could hang out and be herself.
Hearing a voice, she turned letting her hair dragged against the ground. Looking into the cavern she saw a young human child. Massaging her temple wondering why it had to be a human it’s not that she had nothing against them but she wanted a new species to learn to shift into and humans were overdone in her mind.
Walking towards the child she thoughts about turning back and having someone else deal with her. Shaking her head she continued the slow pace towards her standing a good three feet away from her. Kneeling down into the floor letting her hair pool behind her she looked at the child finding nothing special about her. Now she really wondered what was the point of people being to Nova if there were not that special.
Reaching out a hand towards the child. “I don’t know where you are from nor do I truly care, since no one I have known has returned to their home world. Now don’t you dare start crying on me I don’t do tears well either. Now you are in a new world, I don’t know if it is different from yours again I don’t care. You are in Nova now, the place you are currently in is Gallow Bane a home for the people not born of this world.”
Running her hand through her hair wondering what else she should tell the child. Finding nothing else that she could think of she asked the simple question praying that the child wouldn’t start firing off a million questions that she didn’t care to answer. “Do you have any questions, darling?”

Kail had came back from the festival of the gods as it seemed that after the major party and other events. Which he did find ok but it was not his thing, so he headed back to his dwelling at Gallows Bane. The blond had looked at his food supply and needed some things. So he headed down to the farming area and was dressed in dark blue shorts and a white shirt. He was wearing his boots and had one of his survival knives and the Knife of Destiny on him. The Survival blade was not hidden while the other one was hidden on a rear waist sheath. Over one of his shoulders was a bag that he had filled up with vegitables and some fruits. As the blond came down from the farming area he spots a blond haired woman looking rather lost speaking in a odd dilect and it was not Novian nor something from his world or it could have been. But as he did get closer he saw Sai walking up and he had to sigh and hoped that she would not cause more confusion for this girl.
"Sai......you need a better bedside manner. That was way too much information to throw at her" he said and then turned to the woman and smiled slightly. "Miss please calm down and try and breath" he said and used his newfound spell he found. He used it so that the woman could understand him. He kept his voice calming and soothing as he could. Since this woman was going to have a panic attack or pass out from shock.

Kay had just managed to regain some degree of calm when she felt, more than saw, a woman kneel down beside her. Quickly wiping away tears that had come unbidden, she stared in horror at the crimson red and white clothes the woman was wearing. She knew that others outside of her own country wore almost whatever colours they wanted, and the Werralandings were notorious for wearing red clothes, but in her shock she forgot all about other cultures and could only remember her own customs. To her, the kneeling woman was a member of the nobility.
The thought flashed through Kay's mind that for some reason she had caused this noblewoman to kneel and dirty her trousers and hair, and yet she wasn't showing proper respect. While well treated for the most part by the Werralandings, she'd always known that she was a slave, and slaves needed to show some deference. The tone of the woman's voice was also brusque, although not exactly unkind. Kay hadn't heard much of what was said - her redoubled panic at her situation starting to seize hold of her once more - but she'd caught the words "no one has returned", "new world" and "home for the people not born of this world". Her instant thought was that she had been kidnapped by some kind of gods or supernatural entities and was now their slave.
Scrambling from her arse onto her knees and starting to bow low, Kay received another shock when a young man with long, blond hair and blue trousers cut off above the knees. He, she thought, must be a prince or king. She wasn't sure why his trousers had been cut off like that, but it looked to have been a deliberate choice. She bowed low towards him as the young man gently rebuked the noblewoman - Sai, had he said? - until her head touched the ground.
The young prince told her to calm down and breath in a pleasant, easy tone that suggested he might be one of the better masters she could hope for. If she pleased him with her deference, he might just take her into his own household. Probably he'd bed her, but if he was otherwise a kind and gentle master she thought she could endure that.
With a nod from her prostrate position, she replied in a shaky voice, "Yes Highness, as you command."
And, true to her word, she was only forcing herself to breath more evenly. Changing from ragged gasps to more normal, even breaths as she waited the prince's response.

Heating Kail say that she needs better bedside manner she just flipped her hair and roll her eyes at him. “Sorry, that I wasn’t raised to sugar coat the truth. Anyway, you have a new one if you didn’t notice.” She said as she tilted her head towards the young human who seems to be in shock by the hard honest truth of being in this world. Shrugging it off as a normal reaction to any of the newly fated children.
She raised an eyebrow at the woman wondering why she started to bow low. Honestly, she either thought that she was going to take her life, which at this point have not even cross her mind or she thoughts that she was some kind of noble lady. Deciding that the best course of action would be to let the new settle the woman before correcting her on her behaviour or maybe freaking her out. Shifting her eyes to Kail knowing that if she freaked out the new human he might get upset not that she cared so much about what he thought.
Hearing the words ‘Yes Highness’ made her blink a few times to make sure that she heard the girl properly as she bowed before Kail. Looking at the girl then back to Kail then back at the girl, she did her best to not laugh at the situation. Covering her mouth as she looked away from the scene letting a little chuckle out.
Standing up stretched her arms a little, before moving to stand next to Kail. A smirk on her lips deciding that this human might entertain her after all. Placing an arm around Kail as she regains her composure from being in the presence of the king. “So your Highness Kail. I do request I get to keep this one, she is much entertaining.” Her smirk only got wider as she watched his face for a reaction to his new title.
“Do forgive us darling, but I was a bit rude. I never introduce myself. I am Sai, this young man here is Prince Kail. He happens to also be my Lord and Master. May we get your name little one.” She said in her best sweet tone of voice while batting her lashes at Kail, just happy that today seems to be filled with much more entertainment than she had hope. Shifting her eyes to Kail waiting for his reaction to the new title that she decided to bestow upon him along with his new princely title, before turning her eyes back upon the newcomer to this world.

Kail wanted to strangle Sai at the moment as he was not expect the blond haired woman to bow down and prostrate like that. Then calling him Highness as well kind of took him back. Did she mistake him for royalty in some way and looked down at his shorts. Then with Sai speaking and desiding that it would be fun to toy with this newly fated. He sighed and facepalmed at this since he was not sure if this woman would bealive his words. "Sai its not nice to do something like this. I am no royalty nor lord and please miss stand up. I'm Killian Lancaster a jack of all trades. If your feeling ok or need some assistance, my workshop is not far away from here" he said to Kay and then moved out of Sai's grasp and kneels down on one knee to look this woman over. On a closer it seemed that this woman was a peasant or of that class from what he could tell with her attire. As well as her mannerisims when speaking. He turned off his new ability as he knew the effect of Novia would turn whatever they were speaking into Novian.
The blond was not a cruel asshole but he knew that this woman needed to know the truths of this world. But right at the moment though this woman needed to be calm and well a comfortable place. Since there would be a lot to talk about since she had just poofed in from being teleported from wherever she was. But he hoped that Sai would act like a normal person. But with this off the wall crazy person that was just a wing and a prayer now though.

Kay bit her lip as the noblewoman asked the prince if she could keep Kay. The casual way in which the woman spoke with the prince suggested that they were probably lovers, which was either a good sign or a bad one. It could be that, if they were lovers, the woman would prevent the prince from forcing himself on Kay. On the other hand, she might see Kay as a threat an be requesting ownership of Kay so that she could make sure Kay didn't attract anyone ever again. Kay had seen that happen before.
Flicking a quick look up, uncertainty and fear in her eyes, Kay saw the noblewoman - Sai - flirting with the prince, who seemed rather put out by it all. Kay hoped he wouldn't take any frustrations out on her and quickly lowered her eyes again. Then, to her astonishment, the prince admonished Sai and claimed that he was no member of nobility. That confused Kay for a moment, and then she began remembering what the Werralandings worse and how they didn't respect the hierarchy of colour.
Looking up as the man - Killian? Or was it Kail? - knelt down onto one knee, Kay met his eyes for the first time and then flicked them over to Sai, her face starting to burn at the joke the tall woman had played on her. Kay struggled to her feet and began to dust off her dress as she tried to keep her red flush hidden. When she was done, she turned slightly to exclude Sai and faced Killian.
"Killian, sir, if you don't mind me asking, what is going on here? Why am I here? Have I been taken as a slave?"

To say that Sai was more than pleases with the look in Kail’s eye would be a lie she was more than giddy with excitement. Honestly she didn’t truly want to play head games with the young child but she couldn’t help herself it was something that was ingrained in her, plus it wasn’t her fault the woman mistook them for important people. Fainting hurt at Kail’s words. “I tried to be nice by telling her the honest truth. Not my fault she couldn’t handle it.”
Folding her arms over her chest she watched Kail kneel down to the woman. “Also not my fault she mistook you for a prince. Plus it was a harmless joke it’s not like I tried to kill her or anything.” She stated simply as if she was talking about the weather. Her eyes turning to the girl seeing her cheeks redden she had to admit she did look kinda cute all flustered and embarrassed.
Seeing her turn to exclude her from her little conversation she just shrugged her shoulders. It wasn’t the first time nor would it be the last time that she had someone pretend she wasn’t there. It was part of her job half the time she had to pretend to be someone else and always felt excluded because she couldn’t be her true self. Hearing the girl’s question to Kail she raised an eyebrow wondering why she would think that she was taken as a slave. “Now why would you think you were brought here to be a slave. Surely you don’t believe that the Gods are that unjust to take you from your world only to force you into slavery.” Not even waiting for a response from the girl her eyes moved to the forgotten item that dropped from the woman’s hands. Moving to pick it up, she held it up to take a closer look at it. Seeing that it was an aketon she did have to admit it was good craftsmanship for sure. Handing it back to the girl not even bothering to look at her. “Here you shouldn’t leave this here. It might be the only thing you will have to remember your old life by. Also, you should know that you still haven’t given us your name darling.” Turning her eyes to Kail. “You might have to take this one back to your workshop. You are going to have a long day explaining everything to her.”

"Sai....just for future refrence if a newly fated person drops in. Either take them to my workshop or take them to Haven where Serenity lives. You play to many games with people like you did now with trying to take advantage of this woman. Although for someone like you life is just like a game for you said Kail as he then stands back up after hearing Sai speaking. He did sigh as she was intending to have good fun but in a twisted way. Since she did kill people for a living and was not sure if she enjoyed the kill or not. But none the less he had to worry about this blond haired woman. Since explaining things would be hard for anyone to grasp. As they were warped from there original world. "Well miss.....its rather complicated. As your no longer from the world your from. Lets continue this at my place. Where you can be more comfortable, since the shock of being taken from where ever you were. Might have taken a toll on you. And your name, from all of this I did not get it" he said and then sees Sai pick up something that belonged to the blond haired woman.
Plus Kail needed to know a bit more about Kay as if he were going to help her to adjust. Perhaps if he helped more fated like himself that he could forgive himself a bit more. He had done some well mean things to people but this could make up for things. Kail had no normal place to call home yet but he would try and keep it up for others. He did wonder though if he could buy out an inn within Gallows and turn it into a side business. That thought would be for another time.

Kay turned to fix Sai with a puzzled look. Gods being "unjust"? Where did that come from? The gods made the laws that the mortals abided by, not the other way around. You could argue with the gods, fight them either, but it never really worked out well for you if you tried that. Besides, she had already been a slave, albeit a privileged and happy one. What did the gods care about a slave?
"Why else would they bring me here?" Kay shrugged, a look of puzzlement on her face, "I'm no great beauty for them to court or great warrior for them to fight, or even a greater leader for them to give counsel or to interrogate. I'd only be of use to them as a slave."
Kay shrugged again and then took half a step forward as Sai bent to pick up the half finished aketon, but stopped when she saw that Sai would get to it first. There was something about Sai that reminded Kay of Séanait. The woman was obviously some sort of warrior, and her casual, almost insolent behaviour towards Kail reminded her of how Séanait acted around the prince. Kay wasn't sure if she liked that or not, but she decided that it was probably best not to find out how much Sai resembled Séanait in manner.
"Thank you, milady."
Kay gave a little half bow to Sai, clutched the aketon to her chest, and then replied to Sai's demand for a name.
"I am Caoilfhionn, daughter of Uallachán."
When Kail made his offer of continuing the conversation back in his place, Kay had a moment of uncertainty. She didn't know this young man, but she had known other young men. If he thought her a slave, or that she might not complain, he might seek to bed her. She flicked her uncertain gaze from his face the crystal lined cavern surrounding them, swallowed, and then nodded.
"Yes...yes, that might be a good idea."

“Yes, Master Kail. Next time, I see a newly fated I’ll bring them to you or Serenity.” She batted her eyelashes pretending to be a sweet angel. She knew that he knew that she wasn’t an angel nor was her a demon she just has a sick twisted idea of having fun. “Also what if you and Serenity are not home. Then can I entertain the newly fated children.” Whispering under her breath not sure if Kail or Kay would hear her. “I know more than anyone that life isn’t a game.”
Looking at the woman closer, “Even the Gods can be unjust. As for the reason, you were brought here is surely not to be a slave. I mean look at Kail. He can’t fight to save his life, nor is he that handsome for a God to court him.” She flashed a smile at Kail the laughter sparkling in her eyes. “I believe the Gods brought you here for another reason, cause even one small ripple can cause larger change in the world, but if I were you I would use this as a chance to start fresh in life and be someone else.”
Not looking at Kay after giving her back her aketon, as the memories of her childhood flooded back to her. Pushing them away from her mind and thoughts knowing that anything beyond her time with her father is just horrible pain and not something she wanted to remember. “Well, it is nice to meet you Caoilfhion. Your name is beautiful and also never second guess your beauty.”
Turning on her heel heading to Kail’s workshop wanting to relax and get off her feet. She thought about getting a drink later on after everything was over a trip to a traven did seen good at this moment. “Kail do you have anything to drink at your place. Wine preferred but anything that is high in calcium would do as well.”

Kail had a good laugh at Sai "Sai....I killed a dragon, mind you I was working with several other people. But I landed the final blow on the creature, hell I made a weapon that can go through a hide of said creature. I'm not as weak as you think. I felled several men and there grey matter splattering being scattered from a single bolt of my weapon. Do not think of me as someone that innocent" said the blond and sighed as me mentioned the gory details in a sense. He then turns to Caoilfhionn the name raised an eyebrow from him as the gailic name was not familure. But it was the second gailic name of a fated someone. "But what you said Sai about Fated like my self and miss Uallachán. That we maybe changing this world might be true" he said and then motioned with his hand to follow him. "Anyway Caoilfhionn my place is not too far from here" he said and adjusted the shoulder strap of the bag he had. There would be some things that would be sticking out from a flap. Mostly some leafy greens from what could be seen.
"And least I had some foresight to get some food to restock my pantry. I don't know what to make for the two of you" the blond had to ponder that as he did have two guests. Kail did have enough manners to take care of guests in his home at least. He would need to go back out to get some at least some milk, cheese, and some eggs. As he wanted to make some bread or some pasta since he wanted that kind of stuff. "Before I was dropped into this world, I was going to be traveling bard I guess would be the best term to explain my self" he said to both women.

“I know more than anyone that life isn’t a game.”
Kay felt her head snapping around towards Sai and turned it into a flinch instead. That playful, teasing, somewhat inappropriate behaviour with a hardness to it, combined with the last, bitter comment, reminded Kay more of Séanait than she wanted right now. Gods, what would Séanait think when she found that Kay was gone? That almost brought on another panic attack. She would be devastated, furious and quite possibly self-destructive. This might just break her.
Blood pounded in Kay's ears and tears stung her eyes. She missed most of the argument over Kail's combat prowess, and gave a small "thank you" out automatically when Sai complemented her on her name and said that she shouldn't underestimate her beauty. It even took her a moment to realise that Kail had already begun to head off to his house, so she dismissed the vision of Séanait making a suicidal charge outside the shieldwall with a shake of her head and followed, clutching the aketon to her chest.
Kay was finally fully snapped out of her dark thoughts when she realised that Kail was going to be preparing some food for them. She smiled as pleasantly as possible at him, although her smile was more than a little sad, and protested.
"Oh no, Kail, sir, please don't go to any trouble on my part. I've not long eaten."
That wasn't true, but she felt bad about taking charity from a stranger. Besides, if this was some fae realm and these were gods playign tricks on her, then eating their food might just trap her here eternally. It was better to play it safe on the off chance she could make it back to Séanait.

“Okay, so you killed a dragon. I guess you can fight but doesn’t mean that you are a warrior. Yes, I do think of you as someone that is innocent is more than one.” Turning to face Kay but found that she seemed lost in her own thoughts. It wasn’t her place to question those thoughts nor was she going to snap her out of it.
Seeing the tears in her eyes, as she said thank you for her complimenting her name. She just sighed and shrugged it off as the realization of their words that she might not see her home again. Thinking home she thought of her own wondering what her father was doing, she knew that he wasn’t going to send for her anytime soon since she had to recover from all the shifting, plus even with the little bit that done lately still putting too much stress on her body since she haven’t fully recovered as of yet.
Turning around to look at Kay, she placed her hands on her hips looking into her eyes. “Look you just got spirited away from your own world into mine. Since Kail isn’t from this world either. You also learn that chances of you returning to your own world are pretty much none, you either have to be sick to not be hungry after all the events that happen in less than a single day.” She was so tempted to put the stress on her body to bring herself to Kay’s height so that she could stand at the same height but decided against it since she didn’t want to scare her too badly. “You are going to eat even if I have to stuff the food down your throat and make you swallow it. Trust me no one wants to see you starve here.” Turning back on her heel not waiting to see if she continued to follow them or not because if she didn’t she would go back, pick her up and return her to the house.
“May I ask Kail what do you plan to cook. It’s not that I don’t trust you cooking skills just you don’t seem like the type that knows how to cook.” She asked deciding to make light conversation while they head back to his workshop.

"Sai knock it off.....or your not going to have anything I make" Kail said scolding Sai as they walked a bit farther and the trio would reach Kail's place. The Arcane Cross, as soon as they walked in there would be ambient warmth from the forge and it seemed that a few fire gems were containing most of the heat away from the living area more towards the back. Which had a nice comfy couch and chairs with a nice low table to place drinks on or other kinds of things. But on one of the work tables was a very odd weapon that had a odd handle and trigger mountings on a regular curved sword blade. But it seemed that there were far more complicated parts to it as well. Something that would be far more advanced then anything that Sai might have seen or more so with Caoilfhion. There were also six odd looking cylinder looking objects with lots of intricate lines etched into it. Next to the work bench was Kail's weapon's cash that held some of his other weapons. Some of them Sai might have seen before.
The other sections of Kail's place though had several things that looked magical in nature. Some of them alchemical in nature if Sai was familure with that art. "Please sit where you like, I will bring something to drink shortly" Kail said as he placed his bag on a table in the back to what looked like a kitchen area. He started to take things out of it. Some he placed into a box like object while the other things were placed in cabinates. Kail withdraws three well crafted ceramic cups and fills each one with clean water that was really cold and walks over to the sitting area and sits down on the couch. "I might serve wine later unless its all gone. The water is clean so your not going to get sick from it" he said and just relaxed a bit. "So Caoilfhion please tell me about yourself before you got transported here. Like where your from and such" he asked and adjusted his glasses a bit.
