Everything was a hectic blur. There were people running left and right, forwards and away. From what she had heard, every member of the Guard was summoned, every person able to fight was being brought forward. If the rumours were true, even their king had joined this battle. Melda knew not what was happened, and she doubted many people did. She and Diamond had been walking together, talking about various subjects, when a sort of warning rang through the castle walls. The elder elf looked to Diamond, stunned. From the shouts it was easy enough to gather that anyone able should make their way to one of the gates, no matter the status of the person. Melda knew Diamond already have his weapons on him, as he usually did. Melda however, had a new weapon hiding back in her room, and without it she would need far more protection than before. Diamond, I need to go back to my chambers. Go to the South gate, we will help them there. I will be there shortly. Go! Melda left him there, running back to her chambers as fast as she could. It would take her about five minutes to retrieve her weapon and leave the castle. Another ten to get to the Southern Gate.
She would arrive after her guard, unsure of whomever would be helping them, but rushed back to Diamonds side, her newly bought Hyrdo spear in hand. She had her magic, but without a weapon she was useless. Diamond would know of her weapon already, as he had been teaching her how to use it. She did not change, so her attire was not fit for such a situation, and she leaned down, ripping the full skirt into shreds, allowing her body to move more freely, unhindered by the weight from the fabric. Due to all her running, her delicate braid that had wrapped around her head, was falling loose, scattered around her in random silver strands. Diamond, while it is your job to protect me, your life comes first, as does the innocents lending us their aid. Her voice was hushed when she spoke to him, before turning to the small mass of men behind them.
Your attention, please! We do not have time for instruction or thanks! We do not have time for training or a battle plan! Please, form into groups, no bigger than four, and work as teams! We will defeat this enemy! Melda thrust her spear into the air, looking like a queer warrior, dressed in ripped regal clothing, and flustered hair, but her tone and stance were strong. She turned from the men and nodded to Diamond. She just hoped the rest of their team arrived soon.
Melda advanced to the front of the Gate, looking over at the masses of beings running towards them. Melda, without needing to concentrate allowed her magic to create a large gust of wind, pushing any being within 50 meters of her, back 15 meters, giving them a bit of more time. Once that was done, Melda glanced back at Diamond, giving him a look of “Well, let’s hope we don’t die today.”, and ran into the mod, her Hyrdo spear ready in hand.

Diamond had been feeling weird the entire day, the same kind of feeling he got when going into war. That imagenary itch you can not scratch that dry feeling in your throught even though you are not needing thirst. He did speak with Melda on several areas here and there but was distracted. That was until a guard was yelling about a legion of undead and that they were coming to the gates of Nova. Then Melda told him to go on ahead "I hear you boss lady" he said and then dashed off to the southern gate. Once he was there, the mercenary saw the guardsmen greating defense lines and other counter messures. He double checked all of his things. As Melda came a bit later seeing that she had gotten her weapon as well doing a quick modification of her dress. There was a slight smirk on his face as well as Melda's marching orders. "I hear you on that, but I might do a bit more solo action. You really have not seen me in action at all. Just a bit from the Champions event" he said and cracked his neck a few times to get the kinks out.
The eternal moans of the dead could be heard outside and watches as Melda blows them back with her magic. "Well now.....let the action begin" a look on Diamond's face was that akin of a predator going after his prey. Even then these things were a blight on life as they had died and came back as a mockery of the living. Drawing both of his blades. Diamond rushes into the fray with his blades leading him. Once he got to a intial wall of the living dead, he was a whrilwind of destruction. His blades felling zombies left and right and as one cut his arm with a scratch. Diamond just ignored it and cut the thing that attacked him in half in a almost effortless swipe of his katana. It would be a awe inspiring sight to behold as Mylee's Champion was doing his will. Or at least thats what Diamond was hoping in this case.

Sai was walking around the city needing to get away from her newly found brother, she didn’t mind him, just she needed some time to be alone with her thoughts. This time, she didn’t leave the house unarmed she left her daggers on her belt having gone with a simple outfit of a loose fitting shirt and a pants with her black boots which she had sharpened her heels to a point in case she had to kick someone away from her. She did also keep one dagger strapped to her leg.
Now getting closer to the south gate she heard the bells of an attack going off, seeing some people running past her back into the safety of the city as a large group of guards ran past her towards the gates. Following slowly not wanting to waste her time and energy if it turned out to be nothing, she got to the walls, deciding to scale it and not go through the gate for safety reasons.
Once on top of the wall she noticed a silver-haired man, she believed her saw him around a few times but never as much talked to him. Not too far from him was a woman who look more elf that human almost reminding her home before she was kidnapped. Listening to the words of the woman encouraging the guards and the few citizens who came out to help. Turning her eyes for the first time towards what there was fighting, she almost wanted to laugh.
A sea of undead was heading towards them, she looked back to some of the guards wondering how they would hold knowing that they might have to fight a loved one who have long died. Would some of them fall because of that or would they keep fighting to protect those who are still alive. Not wanting to walk to find out she jumped off the wall.
Seeing some weapons on a cart she reached for a short sword grabbing it the balance it was strange in her hands since she was more used to smaller blades but she would need something other than a dagger to fight it. Taking it heading out to the fight pulling out her first dagger throwing it towards the nearest undead hitting in the head.
Letting her mind settle into fighting, her mind going blank as the training washed over her as she moved with the grace her practice her hair whipping around her as she slashed at the zombies. Finding the one what she had impaled with her dagger pulling it out as another zombie attacked her from the left cutting her arm. Not evening feeling the cut she slashed at it’s chest kicking him away from her. “Anyone know the cause of this attack.” She yelled out wondering who would hear her.

A strange scream suddenly interrupts the on going hordes that shuffled towards the city. The undead stopping in their tracks as the scream travels and shakes the earth in a steady rumble. The undead stood motionless, not daring to take another step towards the great city gates. The rumbling only lasting a few seconds after the scream fades. A eerie calm settling in to those who notice.
Fear and confusion grip at the guards that stood post; Their hearts pounding within their chests as the undead began to remain in place, just standing within the mist as if waiting for something to come. Some of the soldiers had even mentioned rumors of the King's disappearance at the castle. This stillness only lasted a few minutes before finally there were sign's of movement; The hordes beginning to move along with the mist as they shuffled towards the the south-east of the outer wall.
(( South Gate and East Gate will now have increased undead. ))
