Dante found himself exploring this city at a peculiar time, midnight. Nothing but silence, the walkways were empty. It had something of an eerie silence, and for whatever reason there appeared to be no lights. He reached his hand over his shoulder, and as if by nothing but sure coincidence a wooden torch, appeared in his hand almost without any explanation. He pulled out his flint and steel to light the torch, giving off more than enough light to illuminate him, and a good distance around him. Perhaps Dante was just in a bad area. He pursed his lips together, as a soft whistle echoed across the silent landscape. Dante was adorned wearing nobleman's clothing. A bright red, that made him pop out of the background. It was filled with various decorative trims, both of gold, and silver. Despite the clothing appearing to be cloth, to someone with a keen perception, they would be able to hear the sound of metal clanging with each step Dante took. This was because Dante's clothing was nothing but an illusion. The illusion hid his full plate armor, making him appear like a regular nobleman.
Dante was no regular nobleman however, he was in fact a knight, a paladin who once served a great god. He had high hopes that his connection with that god would be restored one day. The night certainly was filled with... CLANG! The entire area filled with a large clanging noise, that was so loud in fact some lights appeared in windows. Dante grunted aggravatingly, tripping in a suit of armor that weights over 100lb isn't very fun. Of course, to any passerby, aside from the large clang, it would appear as if the noble simply tripped. Dante got up, dusted himself off, and continued on his marry way whistling. "There must be crime a foot!" He blurted oddly loud to himself. He marched off looking around for any sign of trouble. Dante, without thinking was trying to use an ability he once had. "I can't detect anything.." He muttered.
A paladin without a crusade was like a fish without water.
