Nyx sat in the tavern looking around at all the people, the happy smiling couples, the friends that was bonding and the few families that were there. It was sweet but it only made her feel lonely, keeping her head down she pulled her phone out checking the calendar, it marks three months that she been in world. Quickly turning it off to save the battery until she could find a way to charge it. For three months she been in this world, barely anyone she could truly call friend or even family. It was just depressing to her and now she was to deal with a weeklong celebration when she had no one to celebrate with it. Doing the only thing possible she dragged her butt to the Bloody Mary not caring a damn about the cold of the snow or even the fact that she refused to wear clothes of this world, as she sat there in her clothes she was fated in. The last three hours she been drinking away her loneliness the alcohol making her feel all warm and happy even it was just a few seconds before she had to take another drink to drown out her emotions. She did play a few games to get some people to buy her drinks some she won others she lost. After those people left she cursed them about how they can abandon her alone with no one to spend this time with. It was truly unfair not only did a month ago her feathers plucked out one by one and not even 2 weeks after that she was crashing into a demon’s house. “A-a-Another beer… Just leave the keg.” She said loudly as she raised her half full mug in the air before downing it. Nyx knew her limit of how much she could drink before she becomes stone drunk and ends up dancing naked on tables or doing something that she would regret the next day. So far it was her seventh drink of the night, her words was starting to have a stutter on it and she could still walk without stumbling. Her eyes turning towards the door, an idea appeared in her mind that the next person to walk though those doors she was going ask or make depending on how it plays out the person to buy her next drink. Now all she had to do was wait, which after three seconds she was already getting tired of waiting.

Upon entering the Bloody Mary, Tres already felt out of place. Her sleek white gown with slits all the way up to her mid-thigh made her look like an exotic dancer, and it didn't help that the knee-high boots she wore had a slight heel. Her dress was lined with gold fabric, and her hair was pooled into an elegant bun on the back of her head. Tres supposed that perhaps she got a little too dressed up for the local pub.
A wave of booze crept up her nose, and she looked slightly disgusted. She really was only used to the taste of wine, not the yeast-infused smell and taste of beer that lingered in the air.
She wandered over to the bar and peered at the many people around. Many couples and duos who celebrated the holiday joyously. She really seemed to enjoy this time of year. It appeared to make everyone happy, especially after everything that had happened so recently with Helena. From what Tres had been told, it was a mess and everyone needed a break. She looked to the bar tender and requested a bottle of wine, nothing to expensive, but good enough to enjoy during the festival. After smiling sweetly at the bartender, she turned her back to the bar and propped her elbows onto the wooden bar. She looked classy in dim lighting.
Tres had really planned for a quiet evening to herself after purchasing the bottle. She really did enjoy spending time on her own, after all she was safest in her own company. She didn't really expect to be approached by anyone, and if she was, she planned on ignoring them. She really didn't want to be disrupted after having had such a full day the day before.

The moment the doors open and the brunette came in Nyx's eyes followed her from the door towards her current location at the bar. From the way she was dressed she might have thought that she has gotten the dress from her world or a place similar since she normally saw dresses like that during dances and big events. Not that it mattered to her in her current state, doing a quick comb of her though her hair with her fingers as best as she could and fix the straps of her halter top and dust off her mini skirt.
Bracing herself against the table to steady herself before walking towards the bar and taking a seat next to the lovely angel. Her eyes turned to the bartender as she watched him move around getting a bottle of wine, before meeting her eyes. He been there since she came in and knew what she was up to but since she didn't really cause any trouble she let her be.
"My what is a beautiful woman like you doing here during these festive times. I am sure with your looks that you have a boyfriend or a girlfriend." She said having gotten the proper words for this time, and honestly, courtship wasn't something that happened in her days. You find someone to date if it lasted more than a year you move in together and maybe get married.
Placing her mug on the counter she spun on her stool turning to face the door. "I also think you're drawing too much attention dressed like that, it makes you look angelic. That you were crafted by the Gods' themselves to be perfect. From your hair that I am sure looks lovely even down and framing your face, your eyes that glow like molten gold that shows wisdom but also hardship in your life. Surely if I could get a smile out of you tonight my world would be complete to have been blessed with a rare smile of a even more special lady."
Looking from the corner of her eyes for any type of reaction from the woman, before closing them letting the noise of the bar wash over her. Minus the fact that she could use some music to dance to, some stronger drinks that what this bar had, some lights flashing around the room and she would have felt a little at home. Only missing the fact that her family, friends, allies, and enemies were in another world, yes even at this point she missed her enemies. The simple fact that she most likely would never see any of them ever again was starting to settle in her mind, all because of a damn god forsaken celebration.

Tres could see through her peripheral vision that a woman with bright white hair stumbled her way to her. She couldn't tell why she was making an advancement, but by the way her glazed eyes looked at the bottle of wine, she knew she was in for a treat and a half.
Tres looked directly in the woman's eyes to assert dominance, but quickly realized that there was no point, seeing as she could smell her boozy breath from where she stood. Her introduction was quite the show. Tres laughed at the woman's remarks to her. "With my looks, you wouldn't suspect that I would be here alone. But alas here we both are, alone at a bar." she laughed to herself. She loved bothered drunk people.
Tres laughed even harder to herself as she saw the woman smash her mug down on the counter-top. "Why you could say I am angelic." her mind raced, Gods if only she knew.
She looked to the dazed woman, and saw that she was looking for a reaction out of her. Tres could see what kind of game she wanted to play, so she gratefully obliged. "Your flattery will get you no where. However..." Looking at the muck she had in her mug, she smiled to the bartender. "Get me another bottle. One for here, and one to go." she didn't just want to bake the cake and not ice it. "Oh, and one more thing." she looked at the woman. "Get me two glasses." she smiled warmly at the woman. "Tis the season." she offered a confident smile, as if she had just won the game of the lifetime.

Nyx looked into woman's eyes seeing her trying to assert her dominance. It just kinda went from one mind to another deciding to worry about it later when she was much soberer and less buzzed from her drinks. "It is an ashamed for sure for you be here alone. My reason for being alone is because my love ones are in another kingdom."
"It is because you are angelic. Something about you reminds me of an angel almost like..." She stopped not wanting to tell the woman that she gave off the same powerful angelic aura as her own mother, the person who is a full angel and she now carries half of her blood. She also wasn't sure if the woman would believe her if she said her mother is an angel or even if she would believe her if she said that she has seen an angel in both angelic and human form, for her to remind her of one of her beauty. "Never mind the last part."
It seems the short time of deep thought sobered her up a small bit to think a little more clear and her words to stop to shutter for a small bit.
"Ahh, you caught me. I guess if I was a snake charmer I would be dead." She said placing her hand over her heart acting wounded. Her blue eyes sparkled with a twinkle hearing the woman order another blood and mention two glasses while looking at her. Turning to the bartender, "I'm not sure if you have this plant in this kingdom, b-but I'll take a glass of water with aloe vera as well." Smiling warmly at the woman. "After all if I am going to drink the finer wines of this kingdom I would prefer to be a bit more alert."
"I don't think it is fair your offering me a drink and I don't even know your name or you mine." Clearing her throat and extending her free hand. "It is nice to meet you. My name is Nyx, one of the protectors of the Kingdom Laven. Former priestess of Zepon and possibility one of the few people who wished Helena would leave people alone and not touch someone's wings." The last part she said bitterly still wanting to kill the damn Goddess for plucking her feathers out, raising the undead fated and who knows what else she was done. She swore that she will make her pay with her other wings next time she faces her in battle. The former priestess of Zepon wasn't a complete lie since she did protect his kingdom in her world but she wouldn't say she was his former champion either.

Tres smiled at the girl "I'm sorry to hear about your family, no one should be alone especially this time of year." When she continued to compliment her angelic appearance, Tres couldn't help but laugh. Once again, if only the girl knew.
Tres found the girl to be drunkenly charming. She had an air about her that was comfortable no matter where she was. Obviously she could tell that she was not off this kingdom, because Tres hadn't the slightest idea what Aloe Vera was. "Ah. So you must be something of a wine expert." Tres laughed "Or at least you can appreciate the finer things in mundane life."
Tres took the girl's... Nyx's hand. She shook it firmly, but not too much so that she lost her appearance of angelic delicacy. When she made mention of Zepon, Tres complied and smiled at her. But her mood quickly changed when she mentioned Helena. "I beg your pardon. Helena? Touching someone's wings? You cannot simply make mention of an incident and not elaborate on the circumstances." Tres sounded almost slightly defensive, but tried to hide it anyways. She didn't think that the girl knew about her past, she had just met her. Unless word had spread about this delicate angel having her life-force ripped from her very back by Helena herself. Tres needed to know more before she could introduce herself formally.

Nyx smiled a little as the woman said that it was sad about her not being to spend this holiday without her family. It still made her sad to know that she wasn't able to spend the time with her family but drinking has help numb some of the pain while to have her avoid become emotional about the whole evening.
Nyx listened to the bartender as he said that he was unsure about that Aloe Vera was but he would more than gladly grab her a glass of water. Only nodding her head as she got her a glass of water placing it before her. "Not an expert per say but I do prefer if I am going to drink the finer things in life to have some of my wits about me." Laughing a tiny bit before taking a drink of the water to wash some of the taste of the beer out of her mouth and second the coldness of the water to help cold her own name slowly sobber her up a tiny bit.
Having her hand suddenly taken as she mention of Zepon and Helena and mostly the wings. She wondered if maybe this woman was one of the followers of Helena and would more than likely finish the job and just kill her there in the tavern. The tone of her voice told her that wasn't the case and she was more interested in knowing what happened then wanting to kill her yet.
"Yes Helena, it's kinda a long story but I'll make it short. I am guessing you heard about the zombies... eh, undead that was attacking the city?" Nyx asked as her eyes harden as she recalled in happened while she waited for a response. Once she got the response she licked her lips before going into the incident. "Well, it turned out that Helana was the one that brought them back from beyond the grave. She appeared at the gate I was helping protect, not wanting her to harm the innocent or those defending Nova." Pausing for a moment as she closed her eyes to push away the pain before continuing. "I decided to meet her in battle, sadly I wasn't much of a match for her but I did mange to buy time for everyone else to get the job done. It sadly cost me my wings for the time being since I was lucky enough that she just plucked the feathers out and not slice them off since feathers can regrow a sliced wing can not because it is like an arm unless you have great regeneration then it doesn't grow back."
Once finish telling her tale which caused her to think clearly and help wipe some of her drunken state away from her mind. Smiling brightly sadly it didn't reach her eyes since they were fill with pain of the memory that she had just recalled which also fueled some rage which could be seen as well. Thinking of happier times like when she got to meet a few people here in Nova help eased the rage that she was feeling. "I didn't mean to cause worry or sadness. I guess I am still not even what happened. This was meant to be a night of celebration. How about a toast to happier times to come."

Tres nodded in acknowledging her awareness of the Zombie attack. Although she wasn't present, she did catch wind of the wreckage after everything happened. She had been roaming the in forest at the time avoiding the whole situation some how. "Ah yes, I have heard of the mishap. It's quite unfortunate to think that Helena would wreak havoc on the citizens of Nova in the way that she did."
Tres grabbed the two glasses from the bartender in one hand and the second bottle of wine in the other. She flagged him down before he could wander off to serve someone else. She bent over the counter a little bit because he was too slow, and reached for the cork screw. She winked at the bar tender, and opened the bottle herself. When she finished opening the bottle she placed it back where she found it, and waved at him as a 'thank you'.
As soon as the cork of the bottle popped out of the nozzle, Tres felt a wave of aromatic fruit slither up her nose, cleansing her pallet. She smiled with delight, and began pouring the wine into Nyx's glass first. "Just say when." and when given the signal, Tres would cease pouring the liquid gold, turn the bottle slightly to prevent any from spilling, and then begin pouring some into her glass. Her's would be filled three quarters of the way.
After a taste of her wine, she offered a condoling smirk to the girl. "I'm sorry to hear that this happened to you." she set her glass down on counter, and placed her hand on Nyx's. "Please know that it is very brave of you to have faced her head to head like that. I know that she can do some damage in more ways than one." she would remove her hand from Nyx's, only to realize that she may have hinted too much at her past. Realizing this, she turned to her glass and took a big swig, her throat burning from the dryness of the wine.

As she was telling her story she nodded her head when she asked her to tell her when. Once the glass was 1/2 way full she raised her hand doing a simple wave to signal that it was enough for now. Taking then glass she took a sip before she continued her tale of what happened with Helena. "Ahh... I guess it was brave but I should have known that she was no match for me." After all, she did help train me in my own world.
Pushing those sad thoughts away, letting her mind filter through what the woman had said about knowing some of the damage that Helena could do in more ways than one. Her mind wondering what Helena could have done to this woman for her to know it from experience.
Placing her hand over the top of Tres, "It is okay. The pain isn't something either of us need to think about today." Her voice having lost the slurr as she spoke. "How about we talk about happier things. Like where could I get a dress like yours. I haven't seen anything like it since coming to Nova."

Tres smiled at the woman, her teeth straight as a board, and as white as pearls. She was right, it wasn't the time to be dwelling on the past, or for pondering about the bad experiences they've had. Certainly that could be left for another day.
A grin spread across the fallen angel's face, she looked down at her dress, as if she almost forgot what she had put on this morning.
She looked back to Nyx. "Ah, well you see, this isn't exactly from Nova." taking a quick swig of wine, she ran her fingers through the slit of her dress that exposed one of her slender legs. "To be perfectly honest with you, I've had this dress in my possession for most of my life." she giggled quietly, the wine slowly rising to her cheeks. Her cheeks blushed with a crimson red, almost reflecting the colour of the wine in their glasses. "I believe it was a gift. A gift from a fine being who has the most exquisite taste in garments."
Tres took another sip, this time, looking at the woman before her over the rim of her glass. After having swallowed the drink, she looked at the woman quizzically. "What about you? Tell me about where you're from, and about your garments."

Nyx nodded her head it made sense that the dress wasn't Nova, after all, she has only seen something similar to ones of her world. Then again she guesses the slit up the side of the dress might be seen in most people's eyes as unladylike but to her, it was a way to show case a person's long legs. "It is a beautiful gift for sure, I can tell from the design that the person who got it for you knew that it would only enhance your natural beauty."
Swirling the wine in the glass she took a small sip, as she looked her clothes having forgotten that she had worn her fated clothes. "Well I'm not from Nova but I already mention that my home land is different from here." She said as she started to think about home, "The lush green meadows that seem to go on forever."
It was as much as she was willing to tell about her home without falling into another depression and start drinking maybe that whole bottle of wine to numb the pain. "My clothes well, they a common style in my land. The women are more... open about showing they body. I do have something else." She said as she placed the glass down reaching behind her neck she unclasped her locket. Placing it in her hand she opened it showing the tiny picture of her family inside.
It was the same picture that she showed Aria when she was at the springs just miniature sized to fit inside the locket. Her mother was dressed in white with her golden and silver wings outstretched behind everyone, her eyes glowing with pride. Her father in a tux, his silver hair and brown eyes and his arm around her mother. There was her little sister already up to her shoulder looked so much like they father minus that she got mother’s honey brown hair, she was wearing her light purple over the left shoulder strap dress with little flowers on the strap and final there was Nyx herself in black dress with a sweetheart neckline and no straps and around the waist was small white beads.
"The clothing in this picture is much more formal as you can tell from my family." Her eyes soften as she looked at them wondering if they were doing well.

Finishing her glass of wine, her cheeks flushed, almost matching the colour of the wine. She set her glass down, grabbed hold of the bottle and poured herself another full glass. She smiled tipsily at the girl. Setting down the bottle, she looked at her legs that peaked through her dress "Yes it was a very thoughtful gift." she smiled.
Tres took a large gulp from her glass, and over the rim peered at the bodice of Nyx's dress. She set down her glass on the bar, with a furrowed brow. "You describe your garments as common, however they accentuate your most prominent features quite well!" Tres couldn't help but notice.
Her thought was interrupted when Nyx revealed the lovely locket. Tres peered inside and saw a lovely picture of her family. She scanned each individual before noticing her mother. Her mother stood strong and proud with the most beautiful wings. Tres felt a sense of family pride while looking at the image. This produced a smile from the fallen angel. "Your family looks absolutely lovely, formal or not."
All of a sudden Tres grabbed her glass from the counter, spilling some on the bar. She raised her cup in the air, and exclaimed "To the roots from which we came! To family and to home! and to us, who will grow from ashes of our past into the burning flames that we will be! Tres would go to clink glasses with Nyx.

Nyx noticed the blush on Tres and she couldn't help but think that she looked even more lovely as a flower with her cheeks coloured pink, it was a natural glow. It only complimented her appearance greater. Turning her eyes to the wine in her glass she watched it swish around the like as small waves were made before she took another sip knowing she had to be careful not to drink too much or end up dancing on a table with her clothes off.
Laughing off a bit she guessed in this world the outfit wasn't the more appropriate to wear. "Well I guess they do, but where I am from it is normal to show off one's prominent features." She wanted to mention that even her battle armor shows off even more of her features but decided against it.
"Hai... I mean yes, they do." Drowning the wine in the glass she looked at the empty cup sadden by the lack of the liquid courage. Taking the bottle that was nearby she refilled it till it close to the brim. Slipping some before she could take a think from it, a light drunk laugh left her lips, as she watched it pool on the counter.
She was startled by Tres suddenly grabbing her glass causing her to almost fall from her perch. Quickly pushing the locket into her pocket not wanting to loose it at all. The exclamation of Tres caused her to laugh even more as glasses toast the celebration. "Cheers to that." Her own loud voice turning eyes to them once again.
Standing up she climbed upon the counter of the bar, her eyes daring the bartender to try and stop her. Raising her glass high into the air, "To new friends! New Loves! New Adventures and one kick ass bar!" Exclaiming getting a few yays' from the people that were either too drunk to care what she was saying or was just trying to be polite.
As she procended to walk across the counter she slipped falling, thankful the bartender was gracious enough to have been standing there to catch her bridal style. Planting a soppy kiss on his lips as she climbed out of his arms now on the other side of the bar. "So what you say we finish the bottle and then do some karaoke." Her words now slurred once again, as she started to move from left to right, her eyes darting from Tres to the stage.
