Nyx just nodded her head and kept running like Kail had told her. As they moved down the passage and into storeroom she didn't get to really enjoy the architecture of it all with everyone's life at stake. Once inside the storeroom safely for the time being she finally collapsed if it wasn't for a barrel of oil like substance she would have fallen face first into the floor. The addrenlening rush had finally worn off, her hands she noticed were shaking and she knew that she was terrified for herself and everyone else.
It didn't take long for her to pull herself back together and refocus on the situation at hand. Hearing Aria she just nodded her head at the plan. Pushing herself back up into a standing position, unstrapping her staff she examined it for damage first, upon finding none she thanked the blacksmith that had made it for her. "Aria-chan I should be able to do it in small burst of water."
"Lilith-chan, by chance did you bring a potion uh... what do you call it in Nova." As she snapped her fingers trying to come up with the proper word for it. "Uh just a potion that helps recover energy. If you have one can I please have it."
Once she was handed the potion she drank it down, once done she did her best to try and get the bitter taste out of her mouth. Thanking Lilith she faced the entrance. "Okay, you can do this Nyx. You have the blood of your parents, been trained by Gods you can easily been the mana in the air to your will" She said softly giving herself a prep talk. After the prep talk she started chanting her spell pulling the mana from the air into her body, pushing it into her fingers through her staff letting it slowly start to form a water bubble.

Tres set aside her negative feelings for the dwarf, considering she didn't have time for resentment, and she was already in the midst of helping him retrieve his family heirloom. She got the feeling that the dwarf had some harsh feelings towards her as well, but quite honestly couldn't care less. Her real focus was on the main goal, to survive, and to retrieve his prized posession. So she listened to him share his feelings, already aware that his intention was not to get them killed in dangerous situations. She looked at the dwarf attentively, having a look of understanding on her face, nodded and continued forward.
Tres climbed down from the structure as they made their way quickly down a path, arriving at a storage unit containing barrels of different construction materials. Tres was out of breath, but quickly adjusted so that she could breathe deeper to catch her breath. She took a moment to look up at the castle before them, it was truly magnificent.
But that moment was short-lived. Tres heard the piercing noise of the Novite's chattering teeth, the sound ringing in her ears. In between the cackling sound of the approaching beasts, she heard ideas from Arthur and instructions from Aria.
Tres did as she was instructed. She climbed up a nearby staircase and using her cross-like staff, she pounded on the loose stone that made up the railings of the staircase, trying to loosen it to throw towards her group members for the barrier.

Arthur was staying a tad silent as he was thinking on something and it was deep in thought. Since things were getting harder and harder for them to survive. He knew that they needed to get in and out fast and was trying to recollect where they were. The old dwarf had a vauge idea on where they were. For right now he was staying out of there way since it looked like that they had it under control. There was a spark of something as if divine intervention. The old man knew where they were within the stronghold and it would not be too hard to get what they were looking for. But it seemed that they would have to get this done before anything else to there next destination. "I know where to go from here lad and lasses" he said to the group as it looked like that they would be able to close off that pathway.

Kail caught the potion and was not going to take it due to the fact, A that this was Aria. And B, that it came from Lilith's bag and it could have been anything. He would only drink it if Lilith told him what it was since she was the healer after all. The blond watches the group get at what they needed to do on this. He heard Aria asking for something to hit it hard on the foundation or something, he only had one thing that he could use. Kail would need more then this one thing he had on hand was the ice blade thing "Of all the damn times I forgot my damn railgun" he growled slightly as it seemed that things were getting to him. He raised his sword and then casted the ice blade spell and launches the spell. Firing at the weak point that they had pointed out. "......Whatever items are here, they better be damn worth it" he was getting very iritable and tired. It seemed that even he was slightly over his head on the job that they took on this.

Lilith turned to face Nyx, giving her a look over before nodding and turning to her bag, grabbing a small vile and handing it to Nyx. She rolled her eyes as Kail ignored the vile Aria had thrown him. She took the vile back from him, looking it over before shaking her head and grabbing the proper one from her bag and handing it back. Drinking the one she’d given you wouldn’t have harmed you, but it would have made you quite dizzy. This one should be fine. Once that was taken care of, she worked with Aria to strengthen the vines, nodding when she said they needed to hit it hard. Nothing she had would work quite like that, so she took looked to Kail. He seemed to be irritated, but Lilith couldn’t care less at this point, and was happy he hit the right point.
If I recall, this mission isn’t just about the reward you greedy bastard. She muttered to herself, half joking, but tired of his sass for the day.

Aria was glad everyone was quick to help; it was obvious they were all worn and growing tired of running. She had to wonder how many of them had gone on missions like this before. Aria had been on quite a few by this point. Compared to some other missions she had been on this one wasn’t so bad. Though she certainly do very well do without Novites. Aria raised an eyebrow as Nyx added a chan to her name…chan wasn’t her last name….Aria soon felt Lilith take on helping with the vines; Aria allowed her to make the vines grow as she guided the roots through the small invisible cracks with in the stone. It was work that took a deal of concentration; she pushed the thought of Novites from her mind and only focused on the vines. Her large gorge hound ears twitching as she heard the very slight sound of the rocks beginning to shift. Aria pulled her magic from the vines confident Lilith could do the rest. Plus side is Lilith hopefully would have felt firsthand what Aria had been doing with the vines. To the naked eye from their position the only greenery that could be seen was the sprouts on the ground that lead into the wall. Inside the wall a large network of vines had grown and burrowed their way through the cracks and fishers in the rocks. As the plants grew in thickness they acted as a wedge slowly weakening the foundation as they grew. ”Grow them as thick as you can; all the small parts are in place to cause a collapse. Feel them out as you would the veins in your patients; healing is not so different from plant magic. A lot of its unseen.” Aria turned to Nyx; she was the next person she wanted to help. Raising her eyebrow when she mentioned being trained by the gods. Apparently she and the girl had something in common; but she doubted the girl received quite the same education she had…least she hoped not for the girl’s mental sake.
Aria watched as Nyx pulled water from the air around her. Trying to get enough to send in through the cracks. Causing Aria to frowned, she was making it more difficult for herself then it needed to be. She walked over to the girl; Aria knew they were pressed for time, but when she spoke to Nyx she used a very calm patient voice. As if it was just a normal lesson; and not a life threatening situation. Rushing the girl when she was exhausted probably wouldn’t help. ”Nyx, it may be easier if you manipulate the water right from the ground in the cracks we just created. Then move the water from there. Think of the tides in the ocean; or even just digging a hole in the sand. You get a little water at first but that water as it moves continues to grow and erode the earth around it. The concept will apply here as well. As you wear down the rock keep using the water to manipulate the mud that you’ll be creating. You’ll get a larger concentration of the substance quicker that way.”
Aria gave the girl and encouraging nod; before turning to see how the other members were fairing. Tres was doing her part to throw debri into the tunnels which would help. However she would need to move soon else wise she’d be injured. Aria was pulled from her watch on the group when the dwarf shouted he knew where to go from where they were. Causing Arias right eyebrow to shoot up past her hair line and she gave the dwarf a wtf do you mean look. ”You mean you didn’t before?!” Aria just shook her head; and turned her attention back to the tunnels.
Aria sighed when Kail shouted he had forgotten his railgun; she was both relieved and disappointed he didn’t have it. Relieved due to the fact she didn’t trust him with that thing since the last time she saw him use it he tried to kill her with it. But she did admit it would have been very useful in this situation. Kail did what he could; hitting the weak points in the wall with the ice. Which would only help weaken the stone more. ”Guys that walls going to come down any second; make sure you’re not to close. When the stones fall make sure to cover your mouth and nose. Fungi and rock dust getting in your lungs is not a pleasant experience.” Aria raised an eyebrow when Lilith actually flung an insult Kails way…technically Kail didn’t know the man…it wasn’t to surprised that he was in this for the reward. He didn’t owe the dwarf anything; Lilith was there likely to help the man out of the goodness of her heart….but not everyone was as open hearted as the elf. Aria personally was there to make sure Lilith got out of here alive. The other two…well she didn’t know what their motives likely were. But really now wasn’t the time to be questioning that. Aria kept an ear out for how close the Novites were. Hopefully everyone’s combined efforts would bring down the wall.

For the most part, Nyx had blocked more of the sounds of around her out her ears listening to the to the silent music of the mana forming together pulling the water from the air. The feel of her heartbeat pumping blood and mana through her veins pushing it to draw the mana from the air and pushing it through her staff allowing her easier control of her magic. She only broke out of her trans upon hearing's Aria's voice. It reminded her of one of her own school lessons, deciding to treat this as a school lesson than a life or death situation.
Taking a deep breath, she started to transition from drawing the water from the air to water under the ground. Pushing the water from the cracks through, visualzing it going though the cracks, comanding the water as it was just an extention of her own soul. Closing her eyes for a moment trying to become one with the water, as she felt it is erode away at the earth. Slowly taking the water from the mud using it to push farer into the cracks, extending them and weakening the walls more.
Sweat had started to build upon her brows, drops rolling down her face as she started to take a slow steps backwards. Just casing a look at the drawf when he knows where to go from there on out honestly she wonder if he was just leading them around wanderless until now because if so she will smack him once they are safe outside in real sunlight.
Hearing Aria say the walls were going to come down anytime soon she backed as far up as she could possibly. Keeping her left hand on her staff, she moved her right pull the top of her shirt up to cover her nose and mouth, all the while channeling mana into the staff and giving the water a little bit more of a push.
"Kail... sometimes the adevnture is worth more than the rewards at the end of the tunnel." Reminding Kail that's not always about money on missions, in this case it was about helping an old dwarf recover his family chest and get to see a once great city.

As Tres made an effort to cause further erosion in the stone stair case's railings, she decided to step down a bit from the stairs. Most of the stone she could managed had fallen to the tunnel it needed to. She hopped off the railing before she hurt herself or someone else, and continued to hit the weak point of the railing with her staff.
After loosening the stone and covering what she could of the tunnel, she ran down the corroding stairs to help the others. She saw that Lilith and Aria were working hard at thickening the vines to prevent the Novites from getting near them. She saw Kail trying to help with his remaining energy by shooting ice-like shots at the stone as well, and Nyx was scavenging water to help with the barrier.
Tres quickly turned around and faced the dwarf when he said that he knew where they needed to go. "Perfect Arthur, that only makes it easier for us. We'll follow you after we're finished here."
When Aria warned about the falling rubble, Tres took a step back and covered her nose and mouth with her shirt to prevent any mold or bacteria from entering her system orally.
Tres shot Kail a look through her shirt when he mentioned that this all better be worth it. She understood, it sucks being injured during a quest, being tired from the journey and travelling with many people, all while being attacked randomly by things who just want to eat you right down to sucking out the bone marrow from you. But Tres felt that his whining wasn't helping anyone. She wasn't exactly pleased with the sass from the dwarf who led them here in the first place, but you didn't hear her complaining.

"Lass do you know how long its been since I have been back here? Its been a few hundred years at least, look I know at least we are all vexed on the situation. I imagened again none of us expected this kind of trouble....this job is almost done" said Arthur as he moved away from where he was as that wall had collapsed. He pulled out hand cloth and placed it over his mouth and nose as the debris and other things came down. And it was there luck as one Novite had come into sight but got crushed by the walls coming down and blocking the rest of the path. As soon as things had settled Arthur motioned with his hand for the group to follow him. The old dwarf opens the door to the far side of the room. Once he carefully peered about and motioned again. As the group goes along there would not be any trouble or anything that would attack them. They would get to a set of large set of doors. And on the door there would be a very complicated lock on it. "This might take a bit, take a breather but be alert for anything" said Arthur as he walked over and was working on some switches and nobs on it. The doors were rather thick and it would be really hard to break or bust open with force. As he would be working on getting the door open. The group can take a small break from the relentlesss assault of creatures and other monsters coming after them.

"Thanks Lilith but, look I am not going to lie, I am in it for the money. Yeah call me greedy if you like but at least I am doing a honest job then trying to steal and doing something dishonest. This is an adventure and nothing is easy but shit I don't have freaking minotaurs or freaking spiders the size of a dobermen from my world. So excuse me on that" said Kail as he watched Lilith switch the potion with a real one. But he did not like the jab she gave but yes he was in it for the money. The old dwarf was a badass but that was about it, he had a job and needed some help on it. Perhaps for him he did come off a bit as a jerk. But he was not as neive as Lilith and Nyx as he saw the harshness of this world. None the less when he heard Aria call out he covered his face with his shirt. At least his nose and mouth and as soon as everything calmed down. Kail uses a water orb and puts his glasses into it. To clean them as they had gotten covered in dust, grime, and other stuff. After that he gets a small cloth from his pocket and dries them off.
After that though Kail follows Arthur and the group to a pair of doors that were down a massive hallway to what looked like treasure room. He then hears Arthur tell them that they could chill a bit. But be alert to any threats that would come there way if they were attacked. So the blond went over to a wall and leaned against it and then slid down it to a sitting postion. Having a moment though drank the potion that Lilith had given him. He was feeling a bit better after drinking it.

Lilith sighed; She wasn’t surprised. As much as she thought of Kail as a friend, he wasn’t exactly in her same train of thought. She supposed she couldn’t judge, he was right, this was better than stealing. I apologize then. You know quite well this isn’t exactly my comfort zone either. She spoke lightly, dropping the insult where it was. Kail was doing his best, just like the rest of them. She knew coming out here would be difficult, and everyone had their own ways of surviving, so really, she could learn from him if need be.
Lilith looked to Aria out of the corner of her eye as she took hold of the magic and helped work the vines. She nodded, understanding what she needed to do. She blocked everything else out of her mind; ignoring the voices of her group members to get this right. She didn’t hear Aria help Nyx, or Tres talk to Arthur, in fact she almost didn’t hear Aria telling everything the wall was about to go down. Quickly, she snapped her eyes open, and jumped back a few steps, bringing an arm up to cover her mouth and closed her eyes as everything came down, a deafening sound. Once everything had settled, Lilith peaked her eyes open, waving away the cloud of dust.
Without a word, Lilith followed the group with Arthur as their leader, grabbing her bag as they left, throwing it over her shoulder with her Scythe in the other hand. When they stopped again, she slumped against a wall, needing the moment to regain her energy.

Aria watched as Nyx took her advice and changed her methods; nodding with approval. She pulled her shirt that was under her armor up and over her nose; letting it act as a mask. Not exactly the most comfortable thing. She would have to take off the corset to fix it once they stopped but it was a necessity over comfort at the moment. Aria rolled her eyes slightly when Nyx added her opinion about the reward and such. Aria herself grew up around thieves and those with fairly questionable morals; honestly Kails motives might have been nicer than most people she knew. Hell after they left here later Aria might come back herself…probably with Gabby and see what she could grab of value. She wasn’t joking when she hoped there might be some books and such in here.
Aria turned her attention back to the dwarf as he got snappy with her; her eyes narrowing as she leaned her weight on one leg and put her hand on her hip. ”I would hope most of us WOULD see this shit happening down in an underground city, which was abandoned BY DAaaawrfs because of all the nasties running around. Also I wouldn’t say the job’s almost done, we’re almost at the halfway point unless there’s some magical portal out or tunnel or what not; in which case I would question why we didn’t go that route to get here. We will still need to find our way back; I really do hope that.” Aria pointed towards the hallway as it collapsed; pausing her large gorge hound ears pressed back against her head until the deafening crash finished. ”Isn’t the only way back”
Aria rubbed the bridge of her nose; she wasn’t really vexed until the dwarf decided people were. Plus the dwarf was in a room full of women….if he was as old as he claimed to be then really he should know better by now then to point out if a woman’s angry. That and now Kail was getting bitchy ”Blondie; while I agree most people take these jobs for the reward, take a second and stop snapping at the elf. We all know it’s an adventure; you’ve now been here for a year. Keep pointing out how surprising it is and the big ones who have listening spells everywhere will send more shit after you for entertainment purposes…..I KNOW YOUR READING THIS…or will...and let’s hope he’s not reading this in real time” Ok that last part wasn’t to blondie. But after years of experience she completely believed that last part to be true. But really he knew Lilith as well as she did, of course she would be appalled at the idea of someone doing something for other than the reason to help. She was a good person; it was who she was. Apparently Nyx was as well or least enjoyed doing things for the hell of it…something she could also appreciate.
Aria looked back to Nyx and Lilith ”Good job with the water, you’re getting better at it. Lilith you’re also getting a lot better with the plants. I’d say this has been good practice, it isn’t easy keeping up the concentration when stuffs coming at you like such.” As they began walking and fallowing the dwarf Aria hung back with Lilith her voice dropping low so it wouldn’t carry to the others. ”Lilith I know your using a lot of your skills to help with the plants and such, since most of the stuff we’re coming up against has been handled long range. Would you mind if we put Tres on healing duty? I know you asked for any healing to be your thing but she has the most reserves for it right now if something happens.” She didn’t think the elf would have an issue, but she rather not step on any toes.
When the finally got to the other doors Aria watched as everyone sat down for a rest while the dwarf tried to pick the locks…….Aria watched him for a bit; the man was no thief that was for sure. She debated on helping him make quick work of the lock. But the group needed to rest so she decided against it. Instead she took the time to take off her corset and fix her shirt which had rode up when she was pulling it over her face. She quickly put the armor back on before plopping down on the ground and digging through her pack grabbing some dried meat to gnaw on, along with a healthy swig of whiskey Calix had packed her. ”I got booze anyone want a swig?” She offered a sip to anyone who’d want it. Taking a good sip of her own water as well. After all the running and such that they did, it was good to have some refreshment.

Nyx drop her hand as the wall started to come down, watching a structure that stood for so many years only to have them make it crumble in a manner of what felt less that seconds. She sneezed as some of the dust found it's way into her nose. As she followed the little dwarf staying close to Tres just wanting to get to where there were going and quickly.
Upon reaching the next area she as more than happy when Arthur said they could take a short rest. Going to a nice wall she slid down against it, resting her staff just beside her. Lifting her shirt she whipped the sweat from her face, while saying silently cursing her teachers for having not prepared her better for this hell of an adventure. Sure she could survive in the woods or on a normal mission but this was more than she had bargained for and trying to remind positive was become harder for her at the moment.
Her head perked up at the mention of booze looking at Aria, she grabbed her staff and made the exhausting crawl across the floor until she was sitting on the opposite side of Aria. "I'll take a sip." Taking her bag off her back she opened it taking out some of the remaining rations, and was more than thankful to have found another skin of water at the bottom. Breaking off a small piece of bread to nibble on knowing that her stomach couldn't handle much food before taking a sip of the whiskey that Aria offered.
Now that she was more hydrated she checked her arms to make sure that she didn't have any magic related cuts on her, even though she used her staff she had made it a habit during small rest in battle to make sure. Finding no new cuts, she placed the back of hand on her forehead not feeling any different, assuming that she was good for now she rested her head against the wall listening to the sounds of everyone around her. "After we get out of here I'm hunting down the damn bastard that created those things and giving him or her a piece of my mind."

Tres noted that the dwarf was old and tired, she understood that. But as he yelled at Aria, she felt a twinge of resentment towards the dwarf. She understood that people make mistakes and weren't understanding, but she felt that there was no reason to be an asshole to those who were only trying to help... Even if some of them were only in it for the money like the blonde.
But in any case, tres held her breath as Aria dished her feelings onto the dwarf. Tres bit her tongue, and let a smile curl around the edges of her mouth. She covered her face as the wall came down, also hiding her smile.
She proceeded forward, feeling Nyx's breath on her neck as she followed closely behind her, and followed the dwarf down a long hall. They approached a large and rather sturdy-looking door. As Arthur told them that they could rest for a moment, tres squatted above the ground.
When aria offered alcohol, Tres declined, lifting her hand up as a sign of not wanting the sedative. "I appreciate the sentiment, but I want to keep my senses sharp." She stated. She leaned back, and let the dwarf do his thing.

After awhile Arthur gets the door open, as a shuttering creaking sound could be heard as the door was slowly opening. As dust and some other things became dis lodged from the large doors opening. After things settled the door opened "Alright lad and lasses just through here is what I am looking for. Also yer rewards, you will see what I mean" he said and walked into the vault like room. On the inside of this vault like treasure room the party would see a lot of gold, jewels, and other kinds of treasures. The room was rather massive with everything piled on to the sides of the wall as if a monument to avarice. With the amount there, it would have been a perfect den for a greedy dragon or some other kind of creature that thrived off of that. Arthur then goes to a pedistall that had a very beautiful engravings on it as the outside had gold and several jewels. On the inside of it there were symbols for Arthur's family and heritage as there were some symbols that dipicted some of his history on it. This almost brought the old man to tears but kept it away as his dwarven pride would not allow him to show that to these people.
Although in that same area though there were several items that were much more of intrest. As these items were not the typical things. As there was a stack of 30 ingots of Mythril Silver, a odd looking flask, a couple of tomes, and a very well made leather bag that did not seem to age for it to be stuck in this vault. As well as a small set of Mythril weapons for the party to take, and one peice of mythril chainmail. The last thing of intrest was a clump of moss that had several mushrooms that seemed to give a very soft glow to them. As it seemed the moss had been growing out from a cracked water gem. "Take whatever you want from here, no one is going to come back for these things. So I would say my thanks but I rather save it when we get out of here. Seeing that we had troubles getting here" he said not trying to be an ass to the group.
Rewards
Each Party Member gets five ingots of Mythril Silver that can be sold for 150.00 a piece. As well as select one Mythril Weapon.
The choices are A spear, sword, axe, a battle rod, or a set of daggers.
The other rewards are as such.
Whettstone's Cask
Item Discription: A dwarven mage by the name of Asgor Whettstone had made a never ending cask of wine. This was given to the Dwarven King Muler Goldsmire for his 347 birthday. This wine will always be eternally fresh as the day it was poured out of the barrel. It also will never spoil nor be tainted by poisons. After the cask is empted it will take a few minutes 3 minutes to refill.
Leather Bag of Holding
