Oh Crapbaskets-Quest Thread

Sai heard the enraged roar of they soon to be dead enemy she was glad since of the minor loss of control. Using the opportunity she dispatched the rest of the undead before following the blur of a human body that was Adrian towards the chamber that held the other mage. Looking inside she leant against the frame looking bored out of her mind to be there it was entertaining at least to see a grown man throw a child's tantrum because he didn't find his beloved weapon. It did have her wonder if someone else had gotten into the temple before them or maybe it was hidden behind a secret door it wasn't unknown for people in the darker professions of life to hide the things they hold dear behind a hidden door.



For now while Adrain tormented the man for answers she looking around the room to see if her suspicions were correct. Her eyes trying to find something that looked out of place in the chamber be it a rock that shouldn't be somewhere, a minor discolouration of anything that might go missed by a normal person or even a small odd patterning in the wall.

Diamond kept slicing and dicing through the enemy ranks although when he heard the roar of there enemy. It made him chuckle a bit as he cut down the next undead warrior. Once he got into the room though, he saw Adrian throw down the law or his athourity as the Headmaster for the Arch of ages. He also saw that Iris herself was there ready to continue the fight against this enemy mage. His eyes flick over to Sai as she looked around for something that was out of place. Diamond himself, like Sai was looking for something that was out of place.  Although he did frown slightly since they had battled long and hard to get to this point.  If they did continue to fight, Diamond was slightly worried that they might be slightly faituged. But they were still ready to go and just maul this guy as there were four of them compared to one mage. Since Adrian would be able to deal with whatever this guy casted. Since his powers were on another level then this guy.

As the group entered the room, it was rather massive in size. Along the floor were various arcane glyphs and runes for several kinds of magical seals and circuits that lead to the center of the room where a giant crystal had been shattered. It had kept something in there but was now gone. But it had been a long time as there were some footprints that were left in the dust on the ground. At the shattered crystal was a cloaked man who had a slowly vanishing black aura. He sighs before turning to the group "Well dear headmaster, its a pity that we ended up like this. It seems that there were two follies that I should have taken care of. One I should have killed Reks earlier and two, I should have prevented you from joining this little group. Ah well your not going to live long anyway, oh and your wondering why I am here? To collect my inheiritance and birthright, yes thats right I am a decendant of Catastor" he said and then started to cast something. As seals flared to life right under him, and then lightning shoots up to shock Adrian. As well as sap his massive amount of magical energy.

"Even though his weapon is not here, the knowlage I gained was more then enough. Although I did wish that Artifical Goddess was here....you all would have been a good offering for it" he remarked and laughed like a mad man. "hhhhhmmmm I wonder what kind of creation I can make with your bodies. Although I might turn you two ladies into my personal slaves" he said again.

"You...I see..explains the arrogance and narcissism." he says, not having an opportunity to say anything more as even with the time slow in place, he managed to activate a glyph that hit Adrain with a violent burst, travelling through his right shoulder, causing a small rip in his body at the front and a scent of blood to fill the air. He was able to guard his body from intrusion though. Seeing the spell begin to travel out to other glyphs and his intent to capture the female companions and use the bodies, he quickly put his hands to the glyph circuits and became drowned in Arcane energy, quickly countering the spell from growing to his end, but Adrain would be locked down trying to keep the glyphs from activating.

"...Take him down...I'll stop him from using these runes." he says, gritting, then shifting his eyes up to him, his eyes aglow. The fact that he spoke of dishonoring the women infuriated him; even if he didn't know Sai and Iris personally as of yet, he was a gentleman at heart and the idea of them being slaves to him infuriated him more than his own potential demise.

Iris kept her post, leaning against the wall behind Adrain, who looked like he had it under control for the time being. She knew she should be scouting around the room like the other two, but her eyes were glued to the asshole who caused the creepy undead attack. Her yellow iris’s narrowed on his face, he even looked creepy, like he could be undead himself. She hadn’t a clue was he was going on about, but the name Catastor sounded familiar, and Iris remembered hearing it earlier on in the day. It was clear that Adrian seemed to recognize it, but Iris was completely lost. She didn’t care who his daddy was, he was a douche and she wanted to lob his head off.

Almost out of nowhere, Adrain was his with something, and Iris stood straighter, but wasn’t able to move as fast as she would have wished, which confused her greatly. It must have been whatever spell he was casting when they arrived. When the creep looked Sai and herself up and down, Iris felt her blood boil to the brim. Thats it! Iris knew Adrain was doing what he could to stop the dick juggling thunder douche, so Iris worked around him, pulling out her sword and jumping at him, anger clear on her face. Whether he would block her or not, she would keep at it, trying to hit him over and over. You. Are. A. Creepy. Son of. A. Bitch! She gritted out with each swing of her sword. She jumped back after, letting someone else try if she were to be unsuccessful You picked the wrong people to screw with you disgraceful excuse for a man. I don’t care who you are, you’re creepy and messed up, and frankly, i don’t like you. Iris blurted out, not caring in all honestly about him at all.

Sai was a bit disappointed in the room it was more magic than anything with all of the glyphs that laid the room. Most of it didn't make much sense to her since she never really bothered with learning magic other than a small amount for healing. The shattered crystal did make her wonder who had been there long before and if the person was there before they were called on the quest or if someone else had managed to sneak in during the time off they battle with the temple's protector.



During the exchange between Adrain and the dark mage, she reminds silent honestly wondering what Caster did to end up with a spawn that was this horrible. She did also wonder who the earthly parent of said spawn was because she might have to break the bad news to the parent then kill them since she couldn't have a trail. Raising a single eyebrow as the man mention turning Iris and herself into own personal slaves. Still, with dagger in hand she allow Iris to be a distracted as she worked her way quickly and silently around the room until she was behind the dark mage, reminding silent if possible she would reach out wrapping her arm around his neck with his back pressed to her chest and the dagger pressed to his ribs. "Mmmm I would love to the idea of a personal slave but I would rather you be the slave." She whispered in his ear as she allow her body to shift out of her feminine body into a male version of herself.

Diamond was pissed off a bit at this asswipe but was trying to control himself. As he knew this guy was powerful if he went to directly target Adrian like that. Or was smart enough to to try and disable the srongist opponent, did this meant that they were all taking him lightly? His mind was rather indisive on standing back or go in. Saddly he saw that both Iris and Sai had charged in. Iris had taken a more hotblooded frontal attack. While Sai had sneaked around and then tried to backstab and slit this man's neck with the beaten blade. Diamond had to go in now, since he could use himself as a shield to protect the other two.  He would have stood back and casted something himself. But acted out of instingt and went in to charge in with the rest of them. Not inraged by what the mage had said, but to protect the people he was with. Diamond went to a side that he could make a deathblow that would not hit either lady since his swords were meant to slice through several people at once.

The mage just raised an eyebrow on Adrian as his intended target was him. "Well well someone is angry" he said and saw the angry goat woman charge in with wild blows. He was about to cast something until the rouge like woman had come up behind him. Holding him at knife point. Wispering into his ear that he was going to end up as the slave instead of her. Although it seemed that the other male was coming in to intending to slay him. "Saddly though I don't have enough time to play with you all.....Shadow Biter" he called out as black lightning exuded from his body intending to shock all of his incoming attackers at once. Since he would not be able to cast some of his other powerful spells. Meanwhile on Adrian the runes continued to flare but now concentrated on him. As he was now inside there system they would keep gaining power and were then powered by Adrian. In a constant circle of power, he could potentially be traped within this, as the system was meant to keep the weapon in stasis and inactive. Until it was time to be unleashed apon the world, but since it was gone.  It was reperposed by this mage as a entrapment spell or seal. As it was buying time for him to try and take down the party before Adrian could get free.

Adrain in his haste to defend the others from the magics of the glyphs ended up finding himself in a bad position, locked in a matrix. He was foolish in this proactiveness. At this point he was trying to find a way to seal off and lock out the frame as well as free himself, but for now he was stuck.

It seemed that the dark mage had the upper hand "HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA it seems that you overestamated yourself dear headmaster. That your shear mana power and mind would just plow right through everything. " he said as his spell had sent Diamond, Sai, and Iris flying into the walls. He looked rather confident as most of the party had been thrown around like rag dolls. His mana power was growing steadlly and looked around. "Well.....turning the women into slaves and turning you two gents into my test subjects would be nice. But keeping you alive would be a foolish idea and that would bite me in the ass. So I am going to kill you now ta-ta" he said and started to gather dark magic around him and started to do a incantation. As several bats of dark energy were gathering into a dark sphere above him. The cries of these bats were growing to the point that they were making one noise of a demonic sounding laugh.  But as that grew though something was happening within the chamber as the items that the party had gained started to glow and start to gain power. A rumble would being going through the chamber just enough to alert the dark mage.

From Sai, the dagger she had floated free and started to hover above her. The weapon started to glow red  and flames started to flare from it and started to grow and grow. As the wings started to form very large birds wings, to the point that it became a firebird of red and vermilion flames. It let out a peircing cry its eyes stared down apon the dark mage. Its eyes showed fury and rage at something this man had did to it. Or perhaps his grandfather had did, those many many years ago. "What in the of Caster's......." said the mage but it seemed that the summoning was not done as the other items were resonating. The shield that Iris had on her, floated off  and was hovering as well as an earthen glow was around it and the shield started to grow and gathered the earth around it and it formed a large black turtle like beast with a snake for its tail. It unleashed a bellowing cry that knocked the mage on his ass, his eyes were in shock. What kind of magic was this. But his terror grew as another creature manifested before them.

As a gale blew all around them but was forming above Diamond and the sword that he had. The wind slowly forming into a four legged creature. The wind slowly solidifying as its features were becoming more and more clear to the eyes of many. Its full form was a massive white tiger, it only had a single wild green eye that only spoke of a keen but savage mind, its other eye scared closed. It opened its mouth only unleashing a earth shattering roar. Sending out waves of sound gouging the floor and the ground below them. It too like its breatheren was looking at the dark mage.  And then the last creature to show up was the spear that Adrian had as it glowed an icy blue and unleashing a cold mist.  In the cold mist two blue glowing eyes could be seen, then it lashed out and a blue serpent like dragon hissed. Its upper limb smashes into the rune aray disabling it and allowing Adrian to be free.

"............I am out of here screw this shit......I'm getting out of here" said the Dark Mage and was trying to escape by using a teleport spell.  But it failed as each of the four creatures then bolted on to him. Each one savagely ripping the man apart as his screams of terror filled the chamber and then the mage was no more. The creatures vanishing just as easily as they came returning to the items that they were in.  As they returned though the items were no longer rusted and beat up, all of them restored to working order. But seemed that there was a lingering mystery to finish.

Sai Gained: Zhu Que Wing Dagger (Unawakened)

A far eastern dipiction of the southern guardian to the far eastern continents. This weapon once had power but now its been lanquished due to time. But it still has some power to it, the Dagger's Blade can glow red hot to the point that it slices through the thickist of metals. If the user has some knowlage of fire magic the can use once per day summon a fire bird roughly the size of a hawk. That the user can command this summoned creature for a few minutes. This counts as a Novice spell effect.



Diamond Gained: Bai Hu Po Dao (Unawakened)

A single edged curved blade that is modled after the western guardian from the the far eastern continents. This weapon had once had power but now lanquished due to time. But it still has some power to it. Once picked up by its owner the blade will turn almost transparent only frequent swrils of wind can be seen. Once per day the user can gather alot of wind into the blade and then release it into a powerful air cutting blade. After this effect though the blade wil be visable for the rest of the day.



Iris Gained: Xuan Gui Shield (Unawakened)

A medium sized shield that is modled after the northern guardian from the far eastern continents. This shield had once had power but now has lanquished due to time. But it still has some power to it. The snake head on the end of the shield can be fired and can be used as grappling tool. Once per day this shield will block one physical or magical attack that could kill the user.



Adrian Gained: Qing Long Guan Do (Unawakened)

A pole arm that is modled after the guardian of the east, from the far eastern continents. This weapon once had power but now has lanquished due to time. But it still has some power to it after these years. The blade of this weapon emits a very cold aura which if it makes contact with anything it will freeze it solid. Once perday the user can release a ten foor blast of ice that wil freeze things in its wake.
