Goodbye Haven.

[Serenity Caine]

Serenity had packed most of her things, a lot of which were already in the downstairs area. She only had a select few things left to pack up, being clothing and food items. She of course, would leave things for Cody and Henry, seeing as they would remain here. She lugged one final box down stairs, making four in total and trudged back up the stairs to gather Aria’s things. Seeing as she’d be working for her now, bringing her things back was the least she could do, and it would save everyone a long trip. 

As far as she could tell, she was the only one home currently, Cody doing gods knew what, and Henry off with Kail, as usual. The two had become fast friends, not that she blamed them. Without noticing, the three had gotten really close, most likely because of where they were from. It was their binding glue of their friendship. 

Serenity brought the small box of things Rivers had left here for Aria downstairs with her things, before flopping on the couch. She would have a decent amount of traveling to do, even with Rivers’ tunnel to get this back home. But she couldn’t help but smile at the fact that she had a new home. She would never be able to thank Aria enough.

[Roxanne]

Roxanne hadn't been back to Haven since she'd arrived back in Nova, especially after news of River's betrayal and departure. Actually, one could almost say she was avoiding the place really. But she had left some of her things there that she needed and so decided a quick trip wouldn't be too bad. She also remembered that Aria needed to get her stuff from Haven, but didn't know where it was. She contacted the red head via magical hair pin to have her meet Roxanne on the edge of the city by the entrance to the forest. 

The half demon went ahead to the meeting place after getting dressed. It was a chilly, midwinter morning so she bundled up a bit in a black dress she had recently picked up, made of winter silk, with long sleeves and a basic half circle neckline. She'd had to make it backless though for this little excursion. The red head paired it with a colorful, hand woven scarf made of blues and greens. She wore leggings under dressed, stuffed into the tops of her trademark calf high boots along with her daggers. Roxanne secured her katana on her back, a new thing she'd started doing during her last trip out of the city for Aria. 

She stood waiting a bit off the road, not exactly out of site, but not obvious either. The half demon was killing 3 birds with one stone as she played with a cute kitten, made of bright orange flames that danced around her feet, climbing up and down her dress and batting at her long, red hair, up in its usual ponytail.

Aria was just finishing her morning training with the drakes when Roxanne contacted her. Once she was done Aria went to the part of the stables where she had taken up residence. She supposed she should perhaps purchase a residence up in the first district…but she didn’t see much of a point when she had such a lovely cottage in the woods…Then again she didn’t get much of a chance to use the cottage. Perhaps with now much she roamed about having multiple places to reside in wouldn’t be so unwise.

Once she was out of view Aria had transformed into her shadow tiger state; activating the trait to render her invisible she made her way through the city and to where she was to meet Roxanne. It did not take her long to locate the other red head. She padded over and let her invisibility drop; her whiskers pointed forward in amusement as she watched the little fire kitten. She looked up and gave Roxy a nod to show she was ready to go when she was.

Aria was curious to finally get to see where this Haven was. It would be good to know where the fated were now popping up.

[Roxanne]

Roxanne's nose twitched as the smell of feline hit her. "Now, I know my little kitten here doesn't have that real kitty scent..." she muttered then grinned as Aria materialized out of shadow. The half demon looked over the big cat appreciatively. "That's a nice form, Aria. You're real lucky, you know?" she commented casually. "However, Haven is still quite a ways from here, so I hope you have something a little more made for long distance travelling," she added.

Extinguishing the fiery feline, Roxy pushed away from the tree, dusting off her clothes and removing her katana. "I didn't bring a bag, so I'm just going to half ass this," she told Aria as a slightly disturbing noise gave way to her impressive set of black demon wings. Her tail, which she had forgotten about, ripped right through her nice dress and she hissed in irritation, showing the fangs that also came with her half form.

Roxanne then stretched her wings out to their full span, an impressive 10 ft, sighing as anyone would with a good stretch. "Alright, boss. You want to fly yourself or you want pick something I can carry easily?"she asked, her tail twitching absently as she waited.

Aria casually licked her paw as Roxanne commented on her cat not having that real feline scent. Giving Roxanne a look that clearly said did she really need to ask when she asked if she had a form better for long distances. Aria watched calmly as Roxanne’s wings burst forth; her whiskers pointed forward as she gave a cat like chuckle as Roxanne clearly had forgotten about the damage her owl tail would cause. But ahhhh it was the bane of every transformer; so many clothes lost to the skill.

Aria studied Roxanne’s wingspan; calculating which form would best suit this travel. Her owl form would be to small; as the wings in that form were meant for silent slow flights. Her dragon form was meant for speed; she’d easily outfly Roxanne in that large form. Making her decision Aria stepped forward; her form suddenly being covered in flames as her body morphed. In the tigers place a large stunning bird stood in its place. Aria had chosen her phoenix form; which was size of a large swan. Her plumage was deep red in color with a slight gold shine. Bright round blue green eyes poked out of a delicate swan like head. Her neck was longer then some but shorter than a swans and her golden beak was shaped like a eagles. Long golden feather like plumes sat on the top of her head much like one would find on a cockatoo. In this form she had a long impressive wing span; her wings shaped much like a falcons provided her with the speed she would need to keep up with Roxy. The most impressive part of this form would be her long tail; which sported long red and gold feathers in which flames seemed to dance upon. The tail feathers were much like one would find on a male peacock; however the flames when the bird decided were cool to the touch.

Aria cocked her head to the side and let out a musical squawk and opened her wings for takeoff. Clearly ready to leave when Roxy was.

[Roxanne]

Roxanne watched as Aria transformed into a very strange and beautiful. The transformation itself was also interesting, since the half demon wasn't squeamish. "What kind of bird is that, Aria? It's beautiful." Roxanne asked, curious.

When Aria motioned that she was ready, Roxy gave a great heave of her own wings, propelling her into the air and then working for the altitude. It didn't take long for her to get up high enough that to any below, she'd just be a shadow. "We're headed towards Manna Gorge. Haven's located in Gallows Bane, at the mouth of the gorge,"she explained as she led the way.


It wasn't really a long flight once they got started, maybe a half hour or longer. Roxanne led them right into the Haven's own personal hot springs, since they opened out to the world unlike most of Gallows Bane. "Welcome to Haven." she said, enthusiastically. The hot springs themselves were beautiful, portioned off the the rest with a combination of natural rock formation and high wood boards. There was a small wood porch with a set of wooden doors that led into the main room of Haven, where they would find Serenity.

The one thing that those whom she had given gifts to, was the fact she could still communicate with them even in her other forms…that is unless they lost the damn thing. ’It’s a phoenix; I acquired the form when I lived on the glade shortly before becoming fated over. I’m fortunate that I remembered how to access it again; I’m still learning how to use its powers.’ As Roxanned took off so did Aria; requiring a few more wing strokes to reach the same altitude. As she flew her wing feathers her wing feathers coated themselves in flames; and her tail appeared like a blazing comet. ’First time I took flight in this form; the flames scared the shit out of me….fell right into a lake; I think Grandpa fell over from laughing so hard’

Aria was surprised to find that Gallows bane was so close….and if what she believed was still within Nokus boarders. Aria descended down into the opening of the hot springs; her claws scraping against the wood as she landed. Aria hopped over to the door and let out another squawk; waiting for Roxy to open the door or at least someone else to do it.

[Roxanne]

Roxanne looked impressed as Aria explained about how she got the phoenix. "Very impressive, Aria. It's a beautiful bird. I love the fire on the wings," she commented, then burst out laughing as Aria admitted her first flight oops. "That sounds like something you'd do," she said, still laughing.

The half demon didn't bother to change forms before she made her way inside, holding the door open for Aria who was still in her phoenix form. She walked in, looking around with a rather emotionless gaze, taking in the emptiness. That is until she noticed Serenity and all the boxes. "Serenity? I haven't seen you in forever. Are you moving?" Roxanne asked, curious.

[Serenity Caine]

Serenity was just dozing off, she had finished packing and was procrastinating on taking all the boxes home. It seemed like no time had passed when she heard a door open and foot steps. Serenity sat up, and soon enough saw Roxy of all people, accompanied with a rather colourful bird. She blinked a few times after being spoken too, not knowing how to respond. It was rare that she was speechless, but Roxy had left a rather large hole in the house when she'f left. Along with a ton of questions; had she gone with Rivers? Did she know where he went? Why did she leave?

Serenity stood up and looked around at the boxes. Um. Yes. I am. I've lived here alone for a long time. There are people here now, but they're rarely around. I have a home elsewhere now, thanks to a friend. This place has become more of an unwelcome reminder than anything else. But I'm keeping it open to any Fated who need a home. So you're welcome to it. Serenity spoke without emotion, still uncertain of how she stood with Roxy. They had just become friends, despite the obvious dilemma between them... but poof, she'd left like everyone else.

Aria walked in when the door was opened for her; her talons clicking on the floor. She was surprised to find Serenity packing; though she shouldn’t be. After all she had just purchased the woman a new home in the first district. Judging by the blank look she was receiving, Serenity did not recognize her; more so when she referred to her in passing conversation as though she wasn’t in the room. On that note the sound of bones shifting could be heard as the birds body warped; pretty red feathers falling from her body as it took its human form. Leaving a pile of the feathers around her. It was not long when Aria stood in all her naked glory, pushing back the massive waves of red hair from her face with one of her hands. Aria stood there wiggling her bare toes on the wood floor, a lopsided smile on her face.

”A mutual friend it would seem. Good afternoon Serenity;…. my dearest handmaiden wouldn’t by chance have some clothes I could borrow would she? If there are others here perhaps I shouldn’t be walking around in the nude”

Aria flashed her most charming smile; she hadn’t been expecting to run into Serenity here today. But it was good to know where she had been staying.

[Roxanne]

Roxanne grimaced a bit when Serenity pointed out how empty Haven had been. "I'm sorry I disappeared on you. I took a job that required a lot of traveling on my part. It was short notice," she explained, vaguely. "I agree about it being an unwelcome reminder though. Aria tells me Rivers disappeared. I've been staying at the Gallows Inn since my return, just to avoid Haven." Roxanne added, a sad look briefly crossing her face.

Then turned as she heard a familiar sound and found Aria standing bum naked in a pile of feathers. The half demon chuckled, her tail twitching. "I don't think 'shouldn't' is a good term, Aria. I've seen people nude who shouldn't be, and not for the reasons you're using," she said, amused.

[Serenity Caine]

Serenity nodded when Roxy explained. She figured something like that had happened, but a goodbye would have been nice regardless. With mention of Rivers, Serenity’s face twitched sadly, and she looked down and away from the woman. Yeah. He did. So you didn’t know either eh? She tapped her foot slowly, until she heard a familiar voice and found Aria standing nude in her living room.

She blinked a few times, stunned with the sudden appearance. She then noticed the features and nodded understanding what had just happened. Apparently so. Not surprised, you know everyone. And sure, I can find something for you… it may be a bit.. long on you however. Serenity moved to open one of the boxes she had nearby, and pulled one of her… less promiscuous dresses out. it was ankle length, as most of her dresses were, and light blue in colour. The neckline was a square, rather than her heartlne’s she loved so much. She handed it to Aria.

I can do up the back if you like. I’m not sure how well it would fit, but its all I have. I haven’t adjusted to pants yet. Sorry. She shrugged. The two people here are guys, Henry and Cole. I don’t know much about Cole, but Henry is a fated man from my planet, in a different time period. Good man.

”I sent her on the mission; one of Silas’s letters to princess Lucinda worried me. He confirmed that Fated weren’t quite making it over the borders of the kingdom. I sent Roxanne to investigate since a lot of the fated had disappeared from the time they had been sent to be executed….unfortunately a good chunk of them were found among the bodies of the undead that attacked Nova. Roxanne here came back with vital information. While I’m here I would like to post up warning for the other fated who are being sent to the area to avoid Helena’s flowers at all costs….I have to say I feel more comfortable that you are coming to live in the borders of the city Serenity.”

Aria raised an eyebrow when Roxanne commented on something about being naked; was she saying she should walk around nude?

”Are we going to have a contest of whom we’ve seen naked who should not be, cause I think I win with Mylee at the springs. As for my nudeness, while I have a body that anyone should feel blessed to see; I do prefer to be clothed.”

Aria chuckled slightly when Serenity mentioned her knowing everyone.

”I actually do make an effort to make connections; as you can see it’s fairly useful…and unfortunately for me most things are long. Alas my good genetics were hindered by malnourishment when I was younger but thank you the clothes are appreciated.”

Aria put on the clothes; thankful Serenity had chosen one that was a lot more modest than the one she had given her for midwinters. The neckline was square; and still low for her taste. Still showing a fair amount of cleavage but still the dress would be considered acceptable. It wasn’t quite to Arias tastes; mainly because it did require assistance to fully put on. The blue brought out the blue in her blue green eyes; making them seem more blue then green. Her feet were left bare. But if someone were to see her she would not be completely inappropriate. She waved Serenity off when she apologized for not wearing pants.

”Unfortunately I’m being restricted to wearing pants only when working with the drakes; I push the line mind you with my fashion. However for the most part I am trying to give the appearance that I’m trying to adjust to this new lifestyle.”

Aria nodded noting the two new names; and that they were both male. It was good then that she was now fully clothed.

[Roxanne]

Roxanne shook her head when Serenity asked if she had known and left it that. She didn't really want to talk about Rivers. It was the main reason she hadn't been back to Haven. She was grateful that Aria piped up with a more detailed explanation that also changed the subject. While Aria was talking, Roxanne slipped into her old room to gather what few things she had there which mostly consisted of a few changes of clothes, extra daggers, and supplies.

She came back with a small bag of her things hanging from her shoulder just as Aria moved on to naked Mylee and the half demon laughed. "No I wasn't proposing a statement. Merely making an observation," she said, shrugging.

Roxanne smiled when Serenity commented on Aria knowing everyone. It was something that didn't surprise her anymore. "Aria and I are Fated from the same time, actually. We knew each other before we ever came here," Roxanne added, grinning. She was very glad the spunky goddess had gotten sent here as well.

The grin morphed into a laugh as Aria seemed to complain about not being able to wear pants. "I never did understand your liking for that particular clothing choice but since there are two men apparently living here, any clothes would be good at the moment," Roxanne said, turning to Serenity. "So you're moving to the city too hm? Sounds like at least you've got proper lodgings. You've certainly moved up in the world since I saw you last. Being a handmaiden for Aria won't be so bad, I shouldn't think. It's got perks, at least," she said, conversationally. For her part, she could only continue to stay at the inn so long before she'd end up bunking in the forest somewhere.

[Serenity Caine]

Serenity sat back down on the couch, noting how quickly Roxy was to dismiss the topic of Rivers. It seemed she was just as bitter about it herself. Serenity didn’t blame her, and frankly she didn’t want to talk about it herself. When Aria changed the topic, she saw Roxy head upstairs, no doubt to gather her things that were left behind last time.

Guess this move was perfect timing. Serenity shook her head, not liking the drama surrounding this kingdom. She waved off her thanks, not caring if Aria borrowed a dress or two, seeing as she’d be dressing her before long, for events that is.

Serenity ignored their conversation on nakedness. Henry would apologize for walking in on suck a situation, and Cole.. well she didn’t even know. I didn’t know that. Thats pretty cool. Serenity replied, in regards to them knowing each other previously.

Yeah, the city will be more convenient. And yeah, I have moved up a bit… I have my store, but thats on hold while I work for Aria. Should be an interesting experience. She smiled and shrugged.
