Biography
History: Ellaria was born into a wealthy, well known, and respected family in the Phioric Forest Hierarchy. The Valana's. Mainly due to the fact on her father's side for generations their companion animals have been dragons. A trait passed down to her younger sister, Eleanor. As for Ellaria she received her mother's companion animal, the more common snake.
Her parents were loving and caring and raised their daughters accordingly. Ellaria no doubt loved her family and for a long time she was even happy. But from the moment it was made apparent that she had not gained the companionship trait for dragons but for snakes, and her sister had; her parents unconditional love for there daughters shifted ever so slightly. Eleanor became the golden child, the one to be trimmed and trained for perfection and to take over the family name and household to pass on the dragon companionship trait.
As time passed Ellaria received less and less attention from her parents and her sister. So to pass time and take her mind off of her ever growing bitterness, and to also escape the noise of her people, she started taking hikes in the surrounding forest of her community. Along with her she would take a thick leather bound journal that her mother had given to her when she was young to draw in. A craft she found that she loved and excelled in. She could realistically draw any landscape and person and bring any image in her head to life. She was content with her drawing and never tested her abilities, she new she had a companionship for snakes and could speak with them, but other than that she didn't bother with trying to develop them. As a matter of fact she was completely against it. She didn't trust herself to completely transform into a snake. She feared she would die in the process, or worse go mad. So she stuck to hiding away in the forest for hours, drawing, occasionally talking to the snakes who passed by.
This went on for years, decades even, up until she was 200 years old. It wasn't until she stumbled upon an albino baby python that she ever really made a friend. He was alone and he'd never admit it, but, sad. He was confused, and didn't exactly understand why the other animals ignored him just because he hatched snow white with red eyes while his siblings were born bright yellow. Ellaria empathized with him and throughout the day they talked, and she drew. When the day was over she had made the decision to take him home and even gave him a name, Crowley. And from then on they became close companions.
20 Years later their companionship had become so strong and prolonged she had developed certain unintentional physical attributes from Crowley, her eyes that had once been blue turned bright red, and her pupils slit. Her skin had paled to an almost translucent alabaster white, her scent heightened. She even began moving in a stealth like manner, not exactly grace like, but more so slither like. Despite this she refused to attempt a full transformation. Her family frowned upon her for not being more enthusiastic with her abilities considering the strong bond she had with Crowley, but they did not press the issue and turned a blind eye to turn their full attention on their youngest.
Her refusal became even more solidified a year later. Eleanor had become old enough and strong enough in the eyes of herself and their parents to attempt a full bodied transformation. And even though Ellaria pleaded with her sister not to, to wait at least another decade or two, Eleanor was set on transforming into a dragon. So a date was set, a party had been planned, for all to come see the pride and joy of the Valana's. Everyone was excited and confident, that if anyone could transform she could. All but Ellaria. And her suspicions were proved right. The beginning of Eleanor's transformation seemed to be going perfectly, but then something went terribly wrong, the transformation started going bad and then worse. The end result, Eleanor died.
The next year was spent grieving Eleanor's death, her parents were distraught, their pride and joy, gone. Usually parents and family were prepared to loose their loved ones with their first transformation. But Valana's was so sure of their daughter they had not expected it. Stephana and Gregory never could heal from the loss of their second born, but after a few years passing they slowly began to realize that they no longer had anyone to carry on the family companionship trait, nor anyone to stabilize the next generations respectability. All the had was a highly artistic daughter with a snake.
So after over a hundreds of years loving their eldest daughter, but putting her on the back burner, they decided to bring her forward to put investment into her future. This meant setting up an arranged marriage to another wealthy well respected family, the eldest son of the Adanta's, Avery. When they broke the news to Ellaria, she was furious and thus refused to marry him. When prompted that she must to keep the family in high rankings she became outraged. The fighting continued for months. And finally Ellaria was given an ultimatum, Marry Avery, finally accept her abilities and but forth effort into developing them into transformation quality. Or. Be completely cut ties with the family, be seen as Unfit, and completely excommunicated. The loved their daughter, but her rebelliousness had pushed to far for their traditional mindset and views.
Ellaria chose to be excommunicated and shortly after the decision she packed up a few necessities and Crowley and left. The next year was spent with her and Crowley drifting from one place to the next. Experiencing the world, drawing everything she saw to be beautiful. She never stayed in one place long enough to make friends, she had grown cold and bitter. But soon drifting got tiresome, even though she had spent most of her years sitting among trees in the forest, she had always had a home to go back to, a warm bed to sleep in every night, not having to scarp for food. She began to miss that, so another decision was made. Nova. She had known about the kingdom since childhood, everyone did. She had heard plenty about if from her travels, but had yet to set foot inside. But she knew if there was ever a place to settle down in and make a living for oneself it was there. So that was her plan, to set out for the great Kingdom, start from scratch, to become what or to do what. she wasn't exactly sure. But it was a start.

Extra: Crowley, Ellaria's snake, is completely lecherous and often forgets that he is a reptile. He is constantly whispering to her perverted comments about other woman that they pass. Ellaria is the only woman on Teair that he will not hit on, mainly because they have been companions since he was a newly hatched baby snake, so the attraction was never there, the relationship between them is best described as sibling like. When not roaming free and trying to stay inconspicuous, he is nestled underneath Ellaria's cloak, wrapped around her waist and back, resting his head on her shoulder. Ellaria is also often caught talking to him aloud even though when he speaks to her it is completely telekinetic, so she seems to always be talking to herself.
