Iris nodded as he spoke, ”Yeah. Fair enough. I will probably never meet another person from my home and time period.” She shrugged it off, smirking when he spoke about her accent. ”I hadn’t realized that. Common. Hmm. I suppose that makes sense.” She nodded again.
”Yeaaaah. I could see myself doing that as well. But, what is a tomboy? I am not familiar with that word. I’m glad to hear I am easy to speak with, however. Most people I knew at home found me the opposite.” she chuckled and glanced around the room again. When he talked about his hair again she smiled. ”Well, when it does finally happen, please tell me. That would be a hilarious story." she grinned and shook her head, imagining different way something like that could occur. Finally he answered her question, saying it was for headache treatment. A glowing look appeared on her face. ”Oh! Is it!! I have an incredibly headache from that stench of rotting flesh! May I??" She asked eagerly, her eyes big and round as she looked at him for approval. He went on to explain the sword and what he had planned, so she nodded along, trying to understand bits and pieces. ”I’ll do whatever you need me to do. I’m just grateful you’re doing this at all.” She smiled again, trying to think of a way to repay him later on.

"A tomboy is just a female who acts a bit boyish at times instead of prancing around in a gown and being petite and sweet they are more energetic and active about how they do things and state their mind plainly." Adrain shrugs explaining the term to Iris. When she fixated on his hair yet again, he shook his head and chuckled ever so slightly.
"You aren't going to let that one go are you? It's not even that long." he says with a small laugh, looking at Iris. He mischievously waves his hand a little as static electricity begins to manifest weakly around Iris, causing her hair to rise and poof up a little. He tried to be as subtle as he could about it, but it would be clear to Iris he caused it.
"Yeah, sure, I don't think the student will miss it too terribly, they aren't supposed to leave stuff there on vacation anyway." Adrain states as he began to move the equipment around the room to begin the forging process.
"I'm happy to do it, it's an excuse to get to know you" Adrain says with a smile to Iris when she expressed that she would do what she could to help. Not wanting her to feel left out or useless, he thinks for a moment, then looks at the cauldrons.
"The first cauldron will melt fairly quickly, can you keep an eye on the other two and let me know when they start to liquefy and bubble up. I will be working on the Orichalc Circuit first so they should go while I'm working on that." Adrain says, then walking over to the first cauldron and having an auraof heat manifest around his hands as he turns up the heat on it. A few minutes later, the softer metal would liquiefy as he then held his hands up, the cauldron starting to move as arcane crystals along the side of the motion part glow and it starts to be reeled in like a chain. Once the cauldron was close enough, he pours it over into the mould, then using his magic to guide and move the metal around within the cast as a skeleton of a weapon begins to manifest. If Iris were to look, she would note that he was being incredibly precise with the movements of the metal in the mold, trying to attain a perfect balance of lengths and strength.

Iris nodded at his explanation; it seemed to suit her quite well. ”Dresses make me trip. I mean, I can put up with one, but for what I normally do its just too annoying. You seem to speak highly of “tomboys” as opposed to normal girls. Have a preference do you?” Iris teased him, while also trying to learn a bit about him.
There was a large grin on her face, ”Why would I? You have the goat thing to run with, I have to find something about you to joke about! I mean, you’re kind of flawless, so your hair was the only thing I could think of to be honest.” She laughed, not realizing her bluntness was not as appropriate in this world as it would have been at home. Flirting was shameless in her time period, and adjusting to the new ways was proving a bit difficult. Suddenly she felt the fur on her legs and the hair on her head start to rise a bit, like static, and it felt itchy. She looked around at herself, panicked for a moment, before looking back up at Adrain with a glare. ”Not cool! I keep forgetting magic is a thing here! You almost made my heart stop!” She growled, patting down her hair before rubbing her legs to get rid of the itch.
Once she had permission, she uncorked the shimmering bottle, and downed the contents, hoping it worked fast for the headache was merciless. ”Thank you. Dead flesh is not a good smell for someone with my nose.” She shivered at the memory, her head feeling a little fuzzy.
She smiled at him again when he said it was a way to get to know her, and it was like there was a small light around him, slowly growing over time. ”Well how sweet of you.” She stuck out her tongue, but moved to do as he asked, standing over the two cauldrons, tilting her head back and forth waiting for the headache to disperse. After a few minutes, she glanced over at him watching how carefully he worked, and feeling a large sense of gratitude towards him. Aside from Killian, no one had gone out of their way for her, and it was a very warm feeling. She looked back over at the cauldrons, her head growing more and more fuzzy, and she was beginning to have trouble concentrating on the melting metals. ”It’s bubbling… I think.. my head feels funny.[/b}” She glanced over at Adrain again, and everything went clear again. That was weird… she looked away. Fuzzy. Back at Adrain. Clear. Why was it she could only look at him clearly?

"Totally, let me rip dat fur off ya and show ya what I mean." Adrain says rolling his eyes, his tone of voice purely in a sarcastic, joking manner. Truth be told, he had no strong preference on the femininity scale. When Iris ranted about how he had the goat thing and she had to cling to the whole hair thing. He chuckled a bit more, looking at Iris.
"I always thought it'd be my eye color that gets me in that kind of trouble anyway, even if I have no say in the matter purple isn't the most masculine no matter how you slice it, though I suppose when they glow it gives that whole otherworldly intimidating thing. You're not so bad yourself with that golden hair of yours and your facial traits, don't sell yourself short."
When Iris flipped out at the static, he laughed a little openly. "Okay, okay I won't do that one again."
He rolled his eyes when Iris stuck her tongue out, tempted to throw a bolt of water at her tongue but she seemed a little skittish about magic after that last prank. Focused on the task of making the Orichalc Circuit he didn't immediately notice her uneasiness. When she announced she thinks it was bubbling and her head felt fuzzy, he raised his head and looked at her.
"Then just relax a little Iris, the fumes might be bothering you especially if mixed with a medicine you're not used to." he says calmly, going over to one of the cauldrons, deeming it not ready then moving to a second one, looking at it. He lowers the heat as he then goes back to the Orichalc Circuit, holding his hands over it and beginning to spray a channeled frost to cool down the liquid metal to solidify it. At this point he would be fairly inattentive to what Iris might do.

”Yeah yeah, take it easy hot shot. It was a question.” Iris rolled her eyes, chuckling a bit to herself. This guy was fun to talk to, she had to admit. When he pointed out his eyes, she took a step closer to him, squinting her own eyes. ”Huh. They are purple. I never actually noticed that. Yeah, not masculine at all.” She laughed, remembering when his eyes started glowing during their quest, but aside from then she’d never payed close attention to them.
”Well thank you. I think the hair was the Gods way of paying me back for sticking me with half a goats body. Not that I dislike my race, but it can get pretty weird sometimes.” She laughed, her small tale wagging behind her to make her point.
”Thank you. I’m still getting used to this whole magic thing. Its a little trip still.” She shrugged, happy he decided to stop fooling with her. When he rolled his eyes at her she made a face, like she was jokingly mocking him. His sarcasm was so like hers, it was easy to flow with.
When he approached her after she said her head was fuzzy, she glanced over at him again, feeling everything clear up once more. ”Yeah.. that must be it.” She muttered, blinking as she looked back at the cauldrons. He was standing fairly close to her now, and there was something telling her to face him again, and she just didn’t understand it. It was like she was being compelled by something. Without even thinking, she lifted her hand, and wrapped a thin lock of his hair around her finger, twisting it before letting it fall. ”Pretty.” She murmured to herself, no aware that she’d actually done it, and not just thought about doing it.

"Oh, how does it get weird? In the hopping up vertical walls way, or some other more interesting way?" Adrain says in response to Iris' comment about how things get weird. It sorta intrigued him what kind of life Iris lived day by day in a world where such a race was around. When she wagged her tail he wanted to poke it but figured that was inappropriate for a few reasons. He simply nodded when she thanked him for holding off on the magical pranks. He'd have to come up with something new next time.
As Adrain had begun to do work on the circuit for the sword, he felt a small tinge come from behind as a small bit of his hair was being manipulated by Iris. This startled him a little as he turned and the frozen mist spray accidentally blanketed over Iris' torso before he quickly stopped. He blinked, then hearing her murmur pretty as the small tension on the hair was released.
"Oh..uh sorry about that, I was startled by you tugging my hair. What was up with that?" he inquires, feeling a little guilty about Iris probably being frozen over and a bit wet now.

shrugged, not wanting to get into the details. ”Let’s just say, animals act differently than humans, and have different mannerisms. Same goes for people who are part animal. Clearly from the waist down I’m not human. The rest isn’t hard to figure out.” She cleared her throat and patted down some of the fur on her left upper thigh.
She dropped the hair as quickly as she’d picked it up, utterly embarrassed by her own actions. ”Um. I’m. Wow. I’m sorry. That was weird! Ahem.. Hmm. Right.” She looked down at her midsection, realizing it to be very cold and kinda wet. She wiped at it with her hands, not making much of a difference before looking back up at him and clearing her throat awkwardly. ”I don’t know what came over me—or what is still coming over me. I—are you sure that stuff was for headaches, because I feel really weird. The type of weird you don’t know how to explain to an attractive—a person you just met. ” Iris backed away from him for a moment, before bumping into a table, and looking down at her hooves. She kept her gaze on him, unable to think clearly if she did not, and felt incredibly drawn to him, like she wanted to be closer. Refraining, she gripped tightly on the edge of the table.
”How goes the uh—the uh bubbling stuff?” She nodded to it, a nervous look on her face. She detested not being in control.

As Iris mentioned that there were some things animals did that also half animal people did, it took Adrain a moment to think then it struck him. His expression dampened thinking at first there was something more interesting. His eyes shift to the floor for a moment before back to Iris. Hopefully she didn't catch the momentary shift in eye movement, but her earlier comment about bathrooms made sense now.
"Oh well uh...don't worry about it." Adrain says, not trying to dwell on the whole thing too much. When Iris asked if it was supposed to be a headache medicine he shrugged. "Well it did alleviate your headache, uh let me see if I can read the label.." he states going to where the vial was and picks it up, scowling a little as he began to look over it.
"Ugh..it's smudged out. It might be just due to anatomy, sometimes fated have unexpected reactions to alchemical potions. Just uh take a seat if you are feeling off." he says, rubbing the back of his head. "If there is anything I can do to help you out let me know." he says, then looking to Iris at response of the bubbling stuff.
"Well I'll be able to mold over the circuit soon and form the bulk of the blade to which the hammering and purification process begins." he states, turning back to the cauldron and watching it for a few moments, again oblivious to anything Iris might do.

What the hell was in that thing? Iris rubbed her temples, her headache was gone as he’d guessed, but something else had taken its place. ”Maybe. If I describe to you what I feel, do you think you could help figure out how to fix it?” Iris cleared her throat again, her face turning a bit pink at the whole situation.
Her hands started cramping so she let go of the table, rubbing each hand in turn. His back was turned to her as he looked over the cauldrons, and instinctively, she started walking over to him, before catching herself and stepping back again. Her footsteps could cleared be heard, as she had hooves and not shoes.
Assuming he agreed to hear her out, she began explaining. ”First my head got fuzzy, but cleared up when I looked at you. Really strange. Then, my body felt as though it were magnetized to yours— I know how weird that sounds. Now it’s like the only control I have is over my voice. Son of a bitch, I feel like Zeus.” Iris groaned. It’s not that she was uncomfortable with what could happen if she let her body take control, but that she was uncomfortable over the fact that she had no control, and was acting well, creepy.

"Okay, I'll certainly take my best guess." Adrain states when Iris wanted to describe her symptoms and see if there was a counter to it."[/b] Adrain says, then having turned around while waiting or Iris to respond. After a few moments he could hear her hoofbeats approaching, as he turned around and watched her, tilting his head slightly. He started to feel bad now, not having taken the due diligence to make certain that what she ingested was going to be safe.
When she described the symptoms, the attraction, the magnetizing, the lack of focus, and the more odd behavior, he looked down, thinking for a moment then looking at her with a slightly horrified expression when she mentioned she felt like Zeus.
"Shit...I think that one is a Lunar-me-bisquit. It is a herbal potion that can alleviate some physical pain symptoms, but the more prominent use is as a love potion of sorts...causing the imbiber to feel an intense attraction for the first person they look at." he says, then looking down with a bit of shame to his face.
"It will only last for about an hour or so...I suppose I owe you for not checking to find you a medicine without that side effect, so if I can do anything at all to make it up to you or help you feel better right now, I will take care of it right away." he says, clearly apologetic.

Iris waited for his response, noticing how he saw her walk towards him, her face red in response. She fidgeted around nervously, not liking her own behaviour. ”I’m never like this. I hate being nervous, its so… fragile.” She moaned, complaining just to complain. When she looked at his face and saw the horrified expression, she looked at him curiously. ”You knew who I was referencing?” She asked, not the most important question at hand.
When he explained what she’d taken, she looked up at the ceiling as if to say “why me” and sighed. ”An hour. Okay. Well… You seem to know a decent amount about it, so I can guess you know that just standing where I am is proving to be quite difficult… I apologize in advance for any… indiscretions…” she coughed, moving to lean against the table again, keeping her distance by force.
”Don’t worry about it, you can’t be an expert on everything. You meant well. If anything this is worse for you than me. You wouldn’t know this obviously, but we Satyr’s are known for our… habits. Those being partying hard and well.. getting around. I may be different in the whole “I prefer to fight for what I believe in” shit, but I’m still a Satyr. This potion or whatever, just enhanced my natural instincts by like… 10. Basically it made me a drunk Satyr while I’m sober. So… be careful.” She rubbed the back of her head apologetically, and hoped he understood.

"It'll be fine, it'll probably pass in a short enough time." Adrain states when Iris started whining about her control and feeling weak. When she asked with confusion about the fact that he knew who Zeus was, a bead of sweat traveled down his head. "Uh...yes? Remember the conversation earlier about the god who couldn't keep it in his pants?"
The comment about it being difficult for her to stand still and understanding that he couldn't be an expert on everything did little to alleviate the guilt of the potion mishap to the mage. He listened to her as she explained some of the tendencies satyrs apparently had, which included a very strong sex drive when drunk at least and a warning to be careful to suggest that if she tried to hold back it could end in a way that might cause harm or something, he raised a brow.
He carefully considered what he would say next. He felt responsible for Iris' current situation and wanted to do something about it. As far as he knew there was no quick cure for the Lunar-me-bisquit (which he would have to commission Alchemy Department to work on later). Iris was attractive yes, and at the time of this particular thread he wasn't in a committed relationship such that offering to help with that wouldn't have an obvious adverse impact to relationships other than maybe that with her, but Iris seemed to be able to keep things in perspective about where things stood and was a bit less serious about it.
"Well, would it help if I simply indulged what your instincts are demanding right now?" he offered in a tone serious enough that he would be able to be believed, but not serious to the point he would be offended if she declined. As of the moment, this seemed to be the extent of what he could do short of putting Iris in ropes or chains, but for all he knew she might like that.

Iris nodded. He was probably right, it should pass soon. She tried to calculate how long it had been since she’d taken it, but being as she was still fuzzy, it was a guess of around 15-20 minutes. Still a bit to go, but she could do it. She had to deal with it. She nodded again when he explained and answered her irrelevant question. ”Oh. Right. Sorry, a bit…frazzled right now, duh.” She gave him a lop sided grin to prove that she was still there, and not all a bundle of nerves.
When she went on to explain her nature, she caught his odd look. She couldn’t be surprised, no one knew what her race was like expect her. Only an expert in her history could know in detail, and as far as she knew, there wasn’t anyone here like that. There was a moment of silence, and Iris could tell he was thinking over what he would say next, which she had to admit was probably wise. She had no idea what was going on in his head.
When he finally did speak, she rose both of her eyebrows. ”Oh reeeeaaallly?” Iris taunted, laughing a little. She could tell he wasn’t quite serious, but wondered how far she could take it before he’d stop her. She couldn’t tell if that was her thinking it, or the position, but regardless she found it amusing in theory. ”Well what did you have in mind? My mind is just jumbled currently, so really all I could say about my instincts are that they are demanding to be closer to you. I’ve clearly resisted thus far.” She looked at him with a lightly cocky look, wondering if he’d let it go or not.

While Adrain thought, he could tell that Iris was watching his every move and trying to guess as to what he may have been thinking at any given time during the process. The mage in return had some degree of curiosity as to what her thought process was, clouded as it may have been with the Lunar-me-bisquit. Who exactly kept spreading those damn things around the arch? He was going to have to order a sweep of the campus to get rid of all the bottles and ban them from student possession.
"Well you could try to resist your instincts for the next forty minutes or..." Adrain says, walking over to Iris and cupping her hands, pulling them just behind her, looking at her blue spheres for a moment, distracting her as frost manifested around his hands and formed cuffs around her wrists, reaching to a nearby bar and forming a temporary restraint.
"Or I can try to help you chill out, maybe that is a more appealing way to go through it." he says coyly, turning away and then taking a step back, looking at the metal that was boiling. He uses a spell to pull the cauldron over and pour it into the mold, once more distracted. "Sorry but trying to at least get the base settled." he says as the metal ends up shaping up, the mage forming a frost spell and then focusing on freezing, allowing Iris to get a good view and once more not paying immediate attention to the satyress.

Iris listened attentively, cocking an eyebrow as he started walking towards her. What was he getting at? Her heart was pounding in her chest, her head going absolutely berserk. He grabbed her hands, her breath catching in her throat for a moment. She hated how vulnerable she felt in that moment, normally she was so much more in control, and could handle this situation with her normal attitude. But instead she was at his will, not having much of a choice thanks to this potion. His face was so close to hers, looking directly into his eyes, it took everything she had not to lean forward. Suddenly she felt something very cold touched her wrists, causing her to jump slightly.
”What the—?” She pulled on her arms, finding them strapped to a bar by ice cold cuffs. ”You promised no more magic on me!” She looked at him, alarmed for a moment, before understanding what he’d done. ”That was cruel. You know very well that I’m not in my right mind- getting that close to me just to trick me… you’re rather vindictive I’d say.” She glared at him for a moment, trying to get her heartbeat back under control.
She had a decision to make. She could tell she could break out of the cuffs relatively easily if she’d wanted, and take what she wanted, if he so allowed. Or, she could stay put and let him work. Iris grumbled quietly to herself, having no idea which to choose.
